    Hi, i have a c# program which calls into a c++ library. The c# programs process has a high thread count 50 - 60. Most seem to be created in c++ and i supect most are suspended/waiting. How do i find how many of these threads are active at a given point in time? thanks

    Does this simple cache class need thread synchronization ... if I remove the lock _syncLock statement will encounter any problems? I think i can remove the locks as the references should be updated correctly right? ... BUt i'm think whar happens if client code is iterating over the GetMyDataStructure method and it get replaced?   • How should i be handling string Interning on deserialization?

    In the example below I am interning the string in the constructor which is fine. However when i deserialise the object from the binary formatter I don't think the string will be interned as the constructor should be called. How should I be ensuring the _name string is interned? ... or will it be interned ok?     Hi eveybody, if i have a yield return in a lock statement does the lock get taken out on each yield (5 times in the example below) or only once for all the items in the list?     So the question is when should I use EnterReadLock() and EnterWriteLock() when accessing the Dictionary? TryGetValue. I think a ReadLock should be ok here. Updating the Dictionary using the Indexer e.g. _dic[existingKey] = NewValue. I think a ReadLock should be OK here. Add a new item using the Indexer e.g. _dic[newKey] = NewValue. I think I need a WriteLock here. Thanks in advance!
