  • Single django instance with subdomains for each app in the django project

    - by jwesonga
    I have a django project (django+apache+mod_wsgi+nginx) with multiple apps, I'd like to map each app as a subdomain: project/ app1 (domain.com) app2 (sub1.domain.com) app3 (sub3.domain.com) I have a single .wsgi script serving the project, which is stored in a folder /apache. Below is my vhost file. I'm using a single vhost file instead of separate ones for each sub-domain: <VirtualHost *:8080> ServerAdmin [email protected] ServerName www.domain.com ServerAlias domain.com DocumentRoot /home/path/to/app/ Alias /admin_media/ /usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/django/contrib/admin/media <Directory /home/path/to/wsgi/apache/> Order deny,allow Allow from all </Directory> LogLevel warn ErrorLog /home/path/to/logs/apache_error.log CustomLog /home/path/to/logs/apache_access.log combined WSGIDaemonProcess domain.com user=www-data group=www-data threads=25 WSGIProcessGroup domain.com WSGIScriptAlias / /home/path/to/apache/kcdf.wsgi </VirtualHost> <VirtualHost *:8081> ServerAdmin [email protected] ServerName sub1.domain.com ServerAlias sub1.domain.com DocumentRoot /home/path/to/app Alias /admin_media/ /usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/django/contrib/admin/media <Directory /home/path/to/wsgi/apache/> Order deny,allow Allow from all </Directory> LogLevel warn ErrorLog /home/path/to/logs/apache_error.log CustomLog /home/path/to/logs/apache_access.log combined WSGIDaemonProcess sub1.domain.com user=www-data group=www-data threads=25 WSGIProcessGroup sub1.domain.com WSGIScriptAlias / /home/path/to/apache/kcdf.wsgi </VirtualHost> My Nginx configuration for the domain.com: server { listen 80; server_name domain.com; access_log off; error_log off; # proxy to Apache 2 and mod_wsgi location / { proxy_pass http://127.0.0.1:8080/; proxy_redirect off; proxy_set_header Host $host; proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; proxy_max_temp_file_size 0; client_max_body_size 10m; client_body_buffer_size 128k; proxy_connect_timeout 90; proxy_send_timeout 90; proxy_read_timeout 90; proxy_buffer_size 4k; proxy_buffers 4 32k; proxy_busy_buffers_size 64k; proxy_temp_file_write_size 64k; } } Configuration for the sub.domain.com: server { listen 80; server_name sub.domain.com; access_log off; error_log off; # proxy to Apache 2 and mod_wsgi location / { proxy_pass http://127.0.0.1:8081/; proxy_redirect off; proxy_set_header Host $host; proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; proxy_max_temp_file_size 0; client_max_body_size 10m; client_body_buffer_size 128k; proxy_connect_timeout 90; proxy_send_timeout 90; proxy_read_timeout 90; proxy_buffer_size 4k; proxy_buffers 4 32k; proxy_busy_buffers_size 64k; proxy_temp_file_write_size 64k; } } This set up doesn't seem to work, everything seems to point to the main domain. I've tried http://effbot.org/zone/django-multihost.htm which kind of worked but seems to have issues with loading my css,images,js files.

  • Specifying the bounce-back address for email

    - by Kirk Broadhurst
I'm having a problem getting emails to bounce to a specific email address, different to the From address. A particular client requires that we send emails from a specific email address (call it [email protected]). Our Exchange admins have created an account on the Exchange box so that we can log in and send from that address. Our Exchange server is spoofing that address / domain. This works fine. Unfortunately the emails sent from [email protected] are not bouncing back to us. They are presumably bouncing back to the contact account at clientcompany.com (which may or may not exist). I've inserted a header [email protected] with the assumption that this field determines where bouncebacks are sent. Other documents indicate that this field should never be populated by the originating SMTP system. Other websites again talk about a field called Errors-To which is apparently non-standard. So - which field is the correct one, and what does it depend on? Any ideas why my Return-Path is not working? I'd really like to get Exchange to correctly bounce a message addressed to an invalid server! update: Continuing to dig, and my Return-Path work was only adding an extended property at the end of the header block, but Exchange appears to be still adding its own Return-Path value at the top. Delivered-To: [email protected] Received: by 1.1.1.1 with SMTP ... Return-Path: <[email protected]> Received: from ... ... ... Subject: Test Message-ID: ... Return-Path: [email protected] According to the Microsoft.com, I cannot set the Return-Path as it is determined by the MAIL FROM - which seems consistent with what I've previously read. But now I'm stuck - how do I change this MAIL FROM value programmatically within Exchange 2007?

  • WPF Repeater (like) control for collection source??

    - by Sonic Soul
I have a WPF DataGrid bound to ObservableCollection. Each item in my collection has Property which is a List. In my row details pane, i would like to write out formatted textblocks for each item in this collection. The end result would be something equivalent to: <TextBlock Style="{StaticResource NBBOTextBlockStyle}" HorizontalAlignment="Right"> <TextBlock.Inlines> <Run FontWeight="Bold" Text="{Binding Path=Exchanges[0].Name}" /> <Run FontWeight="Bold" Text="{Binding Path=Exchanges[0].Price}" /> <LineBreak /> <Run Foreground="LightGray" Text="{Binding Path=Exchanges[0].Quantity}" /> </TextBlock.Inlines> </TextBlock> <TextBlock Style="{StaticResource NBBOTextBlockStyle}"> <TextBlock.Inlines> <Run FontWeight="Bold" Text="{Binding Path=Exchanges[1].Name}" /> <Run FontWeight="Bold" Text="{Binding Path=Exchanges[1].Price}" /> <LineBreak /> <Run Foreground="LightGray" Text="{Binding Path=Exchanges[1].Quantity}" /> </TextBlock.Inlines> </TextBlock> and so on 0-n times. I've tried using ItemsControl for this: <ItemsControl ItemsSource="{Binding Path=Exchanges}"> <DataTemplate> <Label>test</Label> </DataTemplate> </ItemsControl> however, this appears to be only meant for more static sources, as it throws the following exception (collection is not altered after creation): ItemsControl Operation is not valid while ItemsSource is in use. Access and modify elements with ItemsControl.ItemsSource instead Is there another way to achieve this?

  • appstats broken filename in callstack

    - by Ray Yun
When I visit appstats page and expand callstack, the file path has <path[N]> prefix. So click the file link then emit no such file or directory error. If your request handlers modify sys.path, you must make the same modifications to sys.path in appengine_config.py so the Appstats web interface can see all files. Actually I'm using appengine_django and two path was inserted to sys.path. I did it same again at appengine_django.py but also failed. Maybe some custom setting with appengine_config.py can solve this problem but doesn't figure out how to fix it. What can I do?

  • Using SQL Alchemy and pyodbc with IronPython 2.6.1

I'm using IronPython and the clr module to retrieve SQL Server information via SMO. I'd like to retrieve/store this data in a SQL Server database using SQL Alchemy, but am having some trouble loading the pyodbc module. Here's the setup: IronPython 2.6.1 (installed at D:\Program Files\IronPython) CPython 2.6.5 (installed at D:\Python26) SQL Alchemy 0.6.1 (installed at D:\Python26\Lib\site-packages\sqlalchemy) pyodbc 2.1.7 (installed at D:\Python26\Lib\site-packages) I have these entries in the IronPython site.py to import CPython standard and third-party libraries: # Add CPython standard libs and DLLs import sys sys.path.append(r"D:\Python26\Lib") sys.path.append(r"D:\Python26\DLLs") sys.path.append(r"D:\Python26\lib-tk") sys.path.append(r"D:\Python26") # Add CPython third-party libs sys.path.append(r"D:\Python26\Lib\site-packages") # sqlite3 sys.path.append(r"D:\Python26\Lib\sqlite3") # Add SQL Server SMO sys.path.append(r"D:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\SDK\Assemblies") import clr clr.AddReferenceToFile('Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo.dll') clr.AddReferenceToFile('Microsoft.SqlServer.SqlEnum.dll') clr.AddReferenceToFile('Microsoft.SqlServer.ConnectionInfo.dll') SQL Alchemy imports OK in IronPython, put I receive this error message when trying to connect to SQL Server: IronPython 2.6.1 (2.6.10920.0) on .NET 2.0.50727.3607 Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. >>> import sqlalchemy >>> e = sqlalchemy.MetaData("mssql://") Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> File "D:\Python26\Lib\site-packages\sqlalchemy\schema.py", line 1780, in __init__ File "D:\Python26\Lib\site-packages\sqlalchemy\schema.py", line 1828, in _bind_to File "D:\Python26\Lib\site-packages\sqlalchemy\engine\__init__.py", line 241, in create_engine File "D:\Python26\Lib\site-packages\sqlalchemy\engine\strategies.py", line 60, in create File "D:\Python26\Lib\site-packages\sqlalchemy\connectors\pyodbc.py", line 29, in dbapi ImportError: No module named pyodbc This code works just fine in CPython, but it looks like the pyodbc module isn't accessible from IronPython. Any suggestions? I realize that this may not be the best way to approach the problem, so I'm open to tackling this a different way. Just wanted to get some experience with using SQL Alchemy and pyodbc.

  • How to suppress quotes in Powershell commands to executables

    - by David Gladfelter
Is there any way to supress the enclosing quotation marks around each command-line argument that powershell likes to generate and then pass to external executables for command line arguments that have spaces in them? Here's the situation: One way to unpack many installers is a command of the form: msiexec /a <packagename> /qn TARGETDIR="<path to folder with spaces>" Trying to execute this from powershell has proven quite difficult. Powershell likes to enclose parameters with spaces in double-quotes. The following lines: msiexec /a somepackage.msi /qn 'TARGETDIR="c:\some path"' msiexec /a somepackage.msi /qn $('TARGETDIR="c:\some path"') $td = '"c:\some path"' msiexec /a somepackage.msi /qn TARGETDIR=$td All result in the following command line (as reported by the Win32 GetCommandLine() api): "msiexec" /a somepackage.msi /qn "TARGETDIR="c:\some path"" This command line: msiexec /a somepackage.msi TARGETDIR="c:\some path" /qn results in "msiexec" /a fooinstaller.msi "TARGETDIR=c:\some path" /qn It seems that Powershell likes to enclose the results of expressions meant to represent one argument in quotation marks when passing them to external executables. This works fine for most executables. However, MsiExec is very specific about the quoting rules it wants and won't accept any of the command lines Powershell generates for paths have have spaces in them. Is there any way to suppress this behavior?

  • What is the root directory OR how do I set the directory in DotNetZip

where does DotNetZip get it's root directory for saving. All the save examples don't show the directory. My goal is to recurse a folder and subfolders. • Maven webapp with Eclipse and WTP plugin deploy files in stranges ways in Tomcat

    - by hokkos
Hi, I use Eclipse J2EE 3.5 with Maven and tomcat. To deploy my maven webapp with WTP I added a Dynamic Web Module facet and changed the "org.eclipse.wst.common.component" file of the project because the webapp is not in a WebContent directory, here is the content of the file: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <project-modules id="moduleCoreId" project-version="1.5.0"> <wb-module deploy-name="tkey-ca-web"> <wb-resource deploy-path="/" source-path="/src/main/webapp"/> <wb-resource deploy-path="/WEB-INF/classes" source-path="/src/main/java"/> <wb-resource deploy-path="/WEB-INF/classes" source-path="/src/main/resources"/> <property name="context-root" value="toto"/> <property name="java-output-path" value="/toto/target/classes"/> </wb-module> </project-modules> But it never deploy the content correctly, in "workspace.metadata.plugins\org.eclipse.wst.server.core\tmp1\wtpwebapps\toto\" the directory structure is correct with WEB-INF and META-INF but empty, the jsp, html, css files are in "workspace.metadata.plugins\org.eclipse.wst.server.core\tmp1\wtpwebapps\toto\WEB-INF\classes\" with another WEB-INF and META-INF structure but with the files. I don't understand this at all, thanks.

  • Error // Usage: rails new APP_PATH [options] // when running 'rails server'

    - by madphill
Background info: I'm using GIT to get a repository of a project with Ruby files in it. The project lives in my SITES folder under home directory on my Mac. I have Ruby: 1.8.7 I have just upgraded Rails to: 3.0.3 All I am trying to accomplish is to be able to render localhost.com:3000 in my browser of the GIT project i've already downloaded so I can work on it locally. • .Net website create directory to remote server access denied

    - by tmfkmoney
I have a web application that creates directories. The application works fine when creating a directory on the web server, however, it does not work when it tries to create a directory on our remote fileserver. The fileserver and the webserver are in the same domain. I have created a local user in our domain, "DOMAIN\aspnet". The local user is on both servers. I am running my .Net app pool under the domain user. I have also tried using windows impersonate in the web.config to run under the domain user. I have verified that the domain user has full control to the remote directory. In an effort to debug this I have also given the "everyone" full control to the remote directory. In an effort to debug this I have also added the domain user to the administrators group. I have a simple .net test page on the web server to test this. Through the test page I am able to read the directory on the file server and get a list of everything in it. I am not able to upload files or to create directories on the file server. Here's code that works: var path = @"\\fileserver\images\"; var di = new DirectoryInfo(path); foreach (var d in di.GetDirectories()) { Response.Write(d.Name); } Here's code that doesn't work: path = Path.Combine(path, "NewDirectory"); Directory.CreateDirectory(path); Here's the error I'm getting: Access to the path '\fileserver\images\NewDirectory' is denied. I'm pretty stuck on this. Any ideas?

  • Difference between KeywordQuery, FullTextQuerySearch type for Object Model and Web service Query

    - by Raghu
Initially I believed these 3 to be doing more or less the same thing with just the notation being different. Until recently, when i noticed that their does exists a big difference between the results of the KeyWordQuery/FullTextQuerySearch and Web service Query. I used both KeywordQuery and FullText method to search of the the value of a customColumn XYZ with value (ASDSADA-21312ASD-ASDASD):- When I run this query as:- FullTextSqlQuery:- FullTextSqlQuery myQuery = new FullTextSqlQuery(site); { // Construct query text String queryText = "Select title, path, author, isdocument from scope() where freetext('ASDSADA-21312ASD-ASDASD') "; myQuery.QueryText = queryText; myQuery.ResultTypes = ResultType.RelevantResults; }; // execute the query and load the results into a datatable ResultTableCollection queryResults = myQuery.Execute(); ResultTable resultTable = queryResults[ResultType.RelevantResults]; // Load table with results DataTable queryDataTable = new DataTable(); queryDataTable.Load(resultTable, LoadOption.OverwriteChanges); I get the following result representing the document. * Title: TestPDF * path: http://SharepointServer/Shared Documents/Forms/DispForm.aspx?ID=94 * author: null * isDocument: false Do note the Path and isDocument fields of the above result. Web Service Method Then I tried a Web Service Query method. I used Sharepoint Search Service Tool available at http://sharepointsearchserv.codeplex.com/ and ran the same query i.e. Select title, path, author, isdocument from scope() where freetext('ASDSADA-21312ASD-ASDASD'). This time I got the following results:- * Title: TestPDF * path: http://SharepointServer/Shared Documents/TestPDF.pdf * author: null * isDocument: true Again note the path. While the search results from 2nd method are useful as they provide me the file path exactly, I can't seem to understand why is the method 1 not giving me the same results? Why is there a discrepancy between the two results?

  • Recursion Problems in Prolog

I'm having some difficulties in prolog, I'm trying to write a predicate that will return all paths between two cities, although at the moment it returns the first path it finds on an infinite loop. • code to ping websites works sometimes ...

    - by trustfundbaby
I'm testing out a piece of code to ping a bunch of websites I own on a regular basis, to make sure they're up. I'm using rails and so far I have this hideous test action that I'm using to try it out (see below). The problem though, is that sometimes it works, and other times it won't ... sometimes it runs through the code just fine, other times, it seems to completely ignore the begin/rescue block ... a. I need help figuring out what the problem is b. And refactoring this to make it look respectable. Your help is much appreciated. require 'net/http' require 'uri' def ping @sites = NewsSource.all @sites.each do |site| if site.uri and !site.uri.empty? uri = URI.parse(site.uri) response = nil path = uri.path.blank? ? • Same route nested in multiple resources ember.js

    - by Daniel Upton
I'm building an ember.js app which has a model called "Programme". A user can drill down to a programme by going: Genre > Subgenre > Programme or Folder > List > Programme Here's my router: this.resource('mylists', { path: '/' }, function() { this.resource('folder', { path: '/folder/:folder_id' }, function() { this.resource('list', { path: '/list/:list_id' }, function() { this.resource('programme', { path: '/programme/:programme_id' }); }); }); }); this.resource('catalogue', function() { this.resource('genre', { path: '/genre/:genre_id' }, function() { this.resource('subgenre', { path: '/subgenre/:subgenre_id' }, function() { this.resource('programme', { path: '/programme/:programme_id' }); }); }); }); The UI needs to be deeply nested (the genre view renders in the outlet of the catalogue template, the subgenre in the outlet of the genre template... and so forth). The problem I have is as both generated routes are called ProgrammeRoute when I linkTo the programme route inside the list template, it actually goes to the programme route nested in the subgenre route. What should I be doing here? To work around it I've named one route ListProgrammeRoute and SubgenreProgrammeRoute but that leads to some duplication.

  • would have only saved the resized images

    - by saadan
    I want it to only saves the resized images so have tried to do so it deletes the original image again after it has been uploaded but can not because it says the image is being used by another process please help. and can not simply remove where it stores the original because it uses it to resize i Use this code to save the fils string tempPath = "Galleryt"; string imgPath = "Gallery"; string savePath = Path.Combine(Request.PhysicalApplicationPath, tempPath); string imgSavePath = Path.Combine(Request.PhysicalApplicationPath, imgPath); string imgSavePath2 = Path.Combine(Request.PhysicalApplicationPath, imgPath); string ProductImageNormal = Path.Combine(imgSavePath, imageName + Fileupload1.PostedFile.FileName); string ProductImagetemp = Path.Combine(savePath, "t__" + imageName + Fileupload1.PostedFile.FileName); string ProductImagetemp2 = Path.Combine(imgSavePath2, "b__" + imageName + Fileupload1.PostedFile.FileName); string extension = Path.GetExtension(Fileupload1.PostedFile.FileName); switch (extension.ToLower()) { case ".png": goto case "Upload"; case ".gif": goto case "Upload"; case ".jpg": goto case "Upload"; case "Upload": Fileupload1.PostedFile.SaveAs(ProductImageNormal); ImageTools.GenerateThumbnail(ProductImageNormal, ProductImagetemp, 250, 350, true, "heigh"); ImageTools.GenerateThumbnail(ProductImageNormal, ProductImagetemp2, 600, 600, true, "heigh"); Label1.Text = ""; break; default: Label1.Text = "Status: Denne filtype er ikke tilladt"; return; } } if i try to delete the original file just after with code File.Delete(Server.MapPath("~/Gallery/" + imageName + Fileupload1.PostedFile.FileName));

  • Is extending a base class with non-virtual destructor dangerous in C++

    - by Akusete
Take the following code class A { }; class B : public A { }; class C : public A { int x; }; int main (int argc, char** argv) { A* b = new B(); A* c = new C(); //in both cases, only ~A() is called, not ~B() or ~C() delete b; //is this ok? delete c; //does this line leak memory? return 0; } when calling delete on a class with a non-virtual destructor with member functions (like class C), can the memory allocator tell what the proper size of the object is? If not, is memory leaked? Secondly, if the class has no member functions, and no explicit destructor behaviour (like class B), is everything ok? I ask this because I wanted to create a class to extend std::string, (which I know is not recommended, but for the sake of the discussion just bear with it), and overload the +=,+ operator. -Weffc++ gives me a warning because std::string has a non virtual destructor, but does it matter if the sub-class has no members and does not need to do anything in its destructor? -- FYI the += overload was to do proper file path formatting, so the path class could be used like class path : public std::string { //... overload, +=, + //... add last_path_component, remove_path_component, ext, etc... }; path foo = "/some/file/path"; foo = foo + "filename.txt"; //and so on... I just wanted to make sure someone doing this path* foo = new path(); std::string* bar = foo; delete bar; would not cause any problems with memory allocation

  • Best way to convert a Unicode URL to ASCII (UTF-8 percent-escaped) in Python?

    - by benhoyt
I'm wondering what's the best way -- or if there's a simple way with the standard library -- to convert a URL with Unicode chars in the domain name and path to the equivalent ASCII URL, encoded with domain as IDNA and the path %-encoded, as per RFC 3986. I get from the user a URL in UTF-8. So if they've typed in http://?.ws/? I get 'http://\xe2\x9e\xa1.ws/\xe2\x99\xa5' in Python. And what I want out is the ASCII version: 'http://xn--hgi.ws/%E2%99%A5'. What I do at the moment is split the URL up into parts via a regex, and then manually IDNA-encode the domain, and separately encode the path and query string with different urllib.quote() calls. # url is UTF-8 here, eg: url = u'http://?.ws/?'.encode('utf-8') match = re.match(r'([a-z]{3,5})://(.+\.[a-z0-9]{1,6})' r'(:\d{1,5})?(/.*?)(\?.*)?$', url, flags=re.I) if not match: raise BadURLException(url) protocol, domain, port, path, query = match.groups() try: domain = unicode(domain, 'utf-8') except UnicodeDecodeError: return '' # bad UTF-8 chars in domain domain = domain.encode('idna') if port is None: port = '' path = urllib.quote(path) if query is None: query = '' else: query = urllib.quote(query, safe='=&?/') url = protocol + '://' + domain + port + path + query # url is ASCII here, eg: url = 'http://xn--hgi.ws/%E3%89%8C' Is this correct? Any better suggestions? Is there a simple standard-library function to do this?

  • Increment part of a string in Ruby

    - by Rik
I have a method in a Ruby script that is attempting to rename files before they are saved. It looks like this: def increment (path) if path[-3,2] == "_#" print " Incremented file with that name already exists, renaming\n" count = path[-1].chr.to_i + 1 return path.chop! << count.to_s else print " A file with that name already exists, renaming\n" return path << "_#1" end end Say you have 3 files with the same name being saved to a directory, we'll say the file is called example.mp3. The idea is that the first will be saved as example.mp3 (since it won't be caught by if File.exists?("#{file_path}.mp3") elsewhere in the script), the second will be saved as example_#1.mp3 (since it is caught by the else part of the above method) and the third as example_#2.mp3 (since it is caught by the if part of the above method). The problem I have is twofold. 1) if path[-3,2] == "_#" won't work for files with an integer of more than one digit (example_#11.mp3 for example) since the character placement will be wrong (you'd need it to be path[-4,2] but then that doesn't cope with 3 digit numbers etc). 2) I'm never reaching problem 1) since the method doesn't reliably catch file names. At the moment it will rename the first to example_#1.mp3 but the second gets renamed to the same thing (causing it to overwrite the previously saved file). This is possibly too vague for Stack Overflow but I can't find anything that addresses the issue of incrementing a certain part of a string. Thanks in advance!

  • Ignore folders with certain filetypes

    - by gavin19
I'm trying in vain to rewrite my old Powershell script found here - "$_.extension -eq" not working as intended? - for Python.I have no Python experience or knowledge and my 'script' is a mess but it mostly works. The only thing missing is that I would like to be able to ignore folders which don't contain 'mp3s', or whichever filetype I specify. Here is what I have so far - import os, os.path, fnmatch path = raw_input("Path : ") for filename in os.listdir(path): if os.path.isdir(filename): os.chdir(filename) j = os.path.abspath(os.getcwd()) mp3s = fnmatch.filter(os.listdir(j), '*.txt') if mp3s: target = open("pls.m3u", 'w') for filename in mp3s: target.write(filename) target.write("\n") os.chdir(path) All I would like to be able to do (if possible) is that when the script is looping through the folders that it ignores those which do NOT contain 'mp3s', and removes the 'pls.m3u'. I could only get the script to work properly if I created the 'pls.m3u' by default. The problem is that that creates a lot of empty 'pls.m3u' files in folders which contain only '.jpg' files for example. You get the idea. I'm sure this script is blasphemous to Python users but any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • binding a command inside a listbox item to a property on the viewmodel parent

    - by gideon
    I've been working on this for about an hour and looked at all related SO questions. My problem is very simple: I have HomePageVieModel: HomePageVieModel +IList<NewsItem> AllNewsItems +ICommand OpenNews My markup: <Window DataContext="{Binding HomePageViewModel../> <ListBox ItemsSource="{Binding Path=AllNewsItems}"> <ListBox.ItemTemplate> <DataTemplate> <StackPanel> <TextBlock> <Hyperlink Command="{Binding Path=OpenNews}"> <TextBlock Text="{Binding Path=NewsContent}" /> </Hyperlink> </TextBlock> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate> </ListBox.ItemTemplate> The list shows fine with all the items, but for the life of me whatever I try for the Command won't work: <Hyperlink Command="{Binding Path=OpenNewsItem, RelativeSource={RelativeSource AncestorType=vm:HomePageViewModel, AncestorLevel=1}}"> <Hyperlink Command="{Binding Path=OpenNewsItem, RelativeSource={RelativeSource AncestorType=vm:HomePageViewModel,**Mode=FindAncestor}**}"> <Hyperlink Command="{Binding Path=OpenNewsItem, RelativeSource={RelativeSource AncestorType=vm:HomePageViewModel,**Mode=TemplatedParent}**}"> I just always get : System.Windows.Data Error: 4 : Cannot find source for binding with reference ..... Update I am setting my ViewModel like this? Didn't think this would matter: <Window.DataContext> <Binding Path="HomePage" Source="{StaticResource Locator}"/> </Window.DataContext> I use the ViewModelLocator class from the MVVMLight toolkit which does the magic.

  • Saving animated GIFs using urllib.urlopen (image saved does not animate)

    - by wenbert
I have Apache2 + Django + X-sendfile. My problem is that when I upload an animated GIF, it won't "animate" when I output through the browser. Here is my code to display the image located outside the public accessible directory. def raw(request, uuid): target = str(uuid).split('.')[:-1][0] image = Uploads.objects.get(uuid=target) path = image.path filepath = os.path.join(path,"%s.%s" % (image.uuid,image.ext)) response = HttpResponse(mimetype=mimetypes.guess_type(filepath)) response['Content-Disposition']='filename="%s"'\ %smart_str(image.filename) response["X-Sendfile"] = filepath response['Content-length'] = os.stat(filepath).st_size return response UPDATE It turns out that it works. My problem is when I try to upload an image via URL. It probably doesn't save the entire GIF? def handle_url_file(request): """ Open a file from a URL. Split the file to get the filename and extension. Generate a random uuid using rand1() Then save the file. Return the UUID when successful. """ try: file = urllib.urlopen(request.POST['url']) randname = rand1(settings.RANDOM_ID_LENGTH) newfilename = request.POST['url'].split('/')[-1] ext = str(newfilename.split('.')[-1]).lower() im = cStringIO.StringIO(file.read()) # constructs a StringIO holding the image img = Image.open(im) filehash = checkhash(im) image = Uploads.objects.get(filehash=filehash) uuid = image.uuid return "%s" % (uuid) except Uploads.DoesNotExist: img.save(os.path.join(settings.UPLOAD_DIRECTORY,(("%s.%s")%(randname,ext)))) del img filesize = os.stat(os.path.join(settings.UPLOAD_DIRECTORY,(("%s.%s")%(randname,ext)))).st_size upload = Uploads( ip = request.META['REMOTE_ADDR'], filename = newfilename, uuid = randname, ext = ext, path = settings.UPLOAD_DIRECTORY, views = 1, bandwidth = filesize, source = request.POST['url'], size = filesize, filehash = filehash, ) upload.save() #return uuid return "%s" % (upload.uuid) except IOError, e: raise e Any ideas? Thanks! Wenbert
