• Change web service url for a suds client on runtime (keeping the wsdl)

  Hi. First of all, my question is similar to this one But it's a little bit different. What we have is a series of environments, with the same set of services. For some environments (the local ones) we can get access to the wsdl, and thus generating the suds client. For external environment, we cannot access the wsdl. But being the same, I was hoping I can change just the URL without regenerating the client. I've tried cloning the client, but it doesn't work.

  Hello, I'm working on PowerPoint Add-In and I was faced with trouble I couldn't solve myself. The point is I need to change the slide Layout programmaticaly with C# (the Add-In Express 2009 for Office and .NET is used). If the new layout is a predefined one everything is fine but I need to set a custom layout as a new one (without slide recreating). Unfortunately, I didn't find any information on how to do it, PowerPoint object model reference documentation didn't answer me as well. There is just the ability to create a new slide that uses custom layout. I've done an experiment seria and have ensured that the Slide object stayed being the same while I have been changing layout both predefined and custom ones. I don't want to create a new slide when I need just switch the layout. Is it possible at all? Please help me to find a way of doing it. Thanks in advance.

• Django: Change models without clearing all data?

  I have some models I'm working with in a new Django installation. Is it possible to change the fields without losing app data? I tried changing the field and running python manage.py syncdb. There was no output from this command. Renavigating to admin pages for editing the changed models caused TemplateSyntaxErrors as Django sought to display fields that didn't exist in the db. I am using SQLite. I am able to delete the db file, then re-run python manage.py syncdb, but that is kind of a pain. Is there a better way to do it?

  I have a div ("panel" class) on my page that toggles open/closed on the click of a paragraph element ("flip" class), which has an image inside of it. Here's the HTML: <div class="panel">Contact info</div> <p class="flip"><img src="images/contactExpand.png" />Expand</p> And the jQuery: $(".flip").click(function(){ $(".panel").slideToggle("slow"); }); Everything works fine so far, but I want the image src to change to "contactCollapse.png" when the panel div is visible. This doesn't seem to do anything (image just stays the same): if ($(".panel").is(":visible") == true) { $(".flip img").attr("src","../images/contactCollapse.png") } else { $(".flip img").attr("src","../images/contactExpand.png") } Am I missing something?   Hey guys, I've got what I imagine is a simple question, but for some reason, I can't get it working right. Expected Behavior: I type characters into a field, and, through a function, those characters are translated into the value of the name HTML attribute. Actual Behavior: Reflected in Firebug, the value doesn't change or update. The Code: $('input').live('keyup', function() { var name_value = $(this).val().toLowerCase(); $(this).attr('name', name_value); }); Just a side note: I'm using .live() because the element can be cloned, and those clones need to also be able to take on the properties of this .keyup event. Any ideas?

So I tried to do this: var mydb; if (x==5) { mydb= ............. ; } else { mydb=.............; } but id didn't work either because I had to initialize the variable (mydb). So the question is: I don't necessarily know the type of the variable, can I declare it anyway and then change the type inside the if statement?

  Hi, I'm having a VARIANT with its type set to VT_R8. Subsequently I need to change its type to VT_BSTR. I would like know whether there is a way of resetting a VARIANT status. Thus, I noticed that every time I set value to the VARIANT (in my case, its double) , VARIANT itself set its bstrVal member to a bad pointer, even though I set bstrVal member to NULL at the initialization of VARIANT. • Flex: How to create a floating notification message of sorts for a custom component?

  I have a custom TextInput-based component for date and time with certain restrictions on what's considered "within range". But it's still fine to insert dates that are outside the range. When a user types in a date, on valueCommit, I'd like to be able to display a hovering notification to the user, to inform/warn them that the date is outside the accepted range. I'm thinking of notifications ala the Validators, but I'd rather not use the Validator mechanism because it's really not validation, just notification. Something like a tooltip, but it will only appear if the user changed the value. Maybe an effect of some sort? If anyone has any ideas or if anyone has done something like this, I'm all ears!

My custom component is trying to listen to the main application's state changes using StateChangeEvent.CURRENT_STATE_CHANGE private function init(){ addEventListener(StateChangeEvent.CURRENT_STATE_CHANGE, function():void{ Alert.show("parent state changed"); }); } but as expected, it's reporting its own state changes not the main application's. I have 2 options: figure a way to tell it that I really mean the main application's state change not its own or configure the main application to dispatch a specific custom event that the component would listen for Any idea how I could do the first? or do I need the second option in this case?

  This is probably a very strange request. I need to programmaticaly (via code) change the IP where a domain name is pointing to. IE: xyz.com points to 100.100.100.100 setIP('xyz.com','100.100.100.100'); I know this [code] is practically impossible, however, what I need is to do this via domain host API etc or other possible ways you might think of. I'd be happy even if it weren't anything more then sending an email to the DNS owner/host. Do you know of anything the like or which might help?   Suppose I'm given the requiremnt to geneate a few pages that have tables on them. The original requirement is for all tables to be 500px. I'd write my CSS as follows: table { width: 500px; } That will apply accross the board for all tables. Now, what if they change the requirment so that some tables are 600px. What's the best way to modify the CSS? Should I give the tables classes so table.SizeOne { width: 500px; } table.SizeTwo { width: 600px; } Or is there a better way for me to deal with changes like this?
