  • How to reference the same CodeBehind class from multiple .aspx files (and be able to pre-compile the

    I have a set of aspx pages that each live in their own directory and reference a single aspx.cs code behind file. This has worked fine previously because I never tried to pre-compile the site. IIS must have individually compiled each aspx, linking them to the contents of App_Code but never referencing more than one aspx at a time. Now that I'm trying to pre-compile the website using Web Deployment Projects I keep getting errors about the same class being found in multiple assemblies. I can't just drop the aspx.cs in App_Code and subclass it because it wouldn't be able to find the controls on the .aspx pages when compiling. Maybe I could explicitly define every control on the page in the .cs? But would that allow them to be wired up correctly? Any other ideas on how I can reference the same Page class from multiple .aspx pages and be able to pre-compile the entire website?

I have designed the s/w architecture - we know various objects required, interactions required between various objects and IPC communication between tasks. Based on this information, i need to decide on the operating system(RTOS), microprocessor and memory size requirements. (Most likely i would be using Quadros, as it has been suggested by the client based on their prior experience in similar projects) But i am confused about which one to begin with, since choice of one could impact the selection of other. Could you also guide me on parameters to consider to estimate the memory requirements from the s/w design (lower limit and upper limit of memory requirement) ? (Cost of the component(s) could be ignored for this evaluation)

    Hello, If there an easy way to get a completed SQL statement back after parameter substitution? I.e., I want to keep a logfile of all the SQL this program runs. Or if I want to do this, will I just want to get rid of Parameters, and do the whole query the old school way, in one big string?     In Applescript, if you declare a handler using "with" labeled parameters, local variables get the values of the arguments and the parameters themselves are undefined. For example: on bam of thing with frst and scnd local eat_frst return {thing: thing, frst:frst, scnd:scnd} -- this line throws an error end bam bam of "bug-AWWK!" with frst without scnd results in an error message that "scnd" isn't defined in the second line of bam. thing and frst are both defined, getting the arguments passed in the call to bam. Why is this happening? Why is scnd undefined? Note: I know that declaring variables as "local" within a handler is unnecessary. It's done in the examples for illustrative purposes.

    Hi, I have a class A which takes a reference of B in its constructor. class A { public: A(B& b); } And I have a class SubB which is a child class of B: class SubB : public B { //omitted... } In my code, I create a SubB and pass it to A: SubB subB; A a(subB); But I get this compile Error: error: ‘B’ is an inaccessible base of ‘SubB’ Can I pass a reference of SubB as B? But, when I do “this.Page.”, I don’t see the webcontrol listed in list provided by intellisense. Most probably, I am missing something.   • Why implement DB connection pointer object as a reference counting pointer? (C++)

    At our company one of the core C++ classes (Database connection pointer) is implemented as a reference counting pointer. To be clear, the objects are NOT DB connections themselves, but pointers to a DB connection object. The library is very old, and nobody who designed is around anymore. So far, nether I, nor any C++ experts in the company that I asked have come up with a good reason for why this particular design was chosen. Any ideas? It is introducing some problems (partially due to awful reference pointer implementation used), and I'm trying to understand if this design actually has some deep underlying reasons? The usage pattern these days seems to be that the DB connection pointer object is returned by a DB connection manager class, and it's somewhat unclear whether DB connection pointers were designed to be able to be used independently of DB connection manager.

I started getting the error "wrong number of arguments (0 for 1)" when doing myhash.to_json Unfortunately I'm not sure when this error started happening, but I guess it relates to some versions of either rails or the json gem. I suppose my code (in a rails controller) is using the ActiveSupport::JSON version of to_json, rather than the to_josn method supported by the json gem. ActiveSupport::JSON vs JSON In environment.rb I have RAILS_GEM_VERSION = '2.3.2' and also config.gem "json", :version=> '1.1.7' It's just a simple hash structure containing primitives which I want to convert in my controller, and it was working, but now I can't seem to run to_json without passing parameters.

    I'm trying to use reflection to get a specific MethodInfo of a class, but am unsure how to differentiate between the two following methods: public class Test { public IBar<T1> Foo<T1>(); public IBar<T1, T2> Foo<T1, T2>(); } How can I get a reference to the different Foo methods, assuming I know the number of type parameters? Just calling typeof(Test).GetMethod("Foo") will throw an exception that the method name is ambiguous and there aren't a differing number of parameters to check.

  • Why does adding a reference to project targeting .NET Framework 4.0 fail?

    We have two projects that are both class libraries. Project 1 is a VS 2008 project and targets the .NET Framework 3.5. Project 2 is a VS 2010 (release candidate) project that targets the .NET Framework 4.0. When I try to add a reference to Project 2 in Project 1, it fails with a less than informative error message. I know that if I change the target Framework for Project 2 to 3.5, then adding the reference will work. My question is, if I don't change the target frameworks, but convert Project 1 to VS 2010, will the referencing work? Stated another way, is there some inherent incompatiblity between class libraries targeting different framework versions, or is it failing for me because VS 2008 doesn't know about the 4.0 framework?

    Hello: I have a collection of physical parameters associated with different items. For example: Item, p1, p2, p3 a, 1, 2, 3 b, 4, 5, 6 [...] where px stands for parameter x. I could go ahead and store the database exactly as presented; the schema would be CREATE TABLE t1 (item TEXT PRIMARY KEY, p1 FLOAT, p2 FLOAT, p3 FLOAT); I could retrieve the parameter p1 for all the items with the statement: SELECT p1 FROM t1; A second alternative is to have an schema like: CREATE TABLE t1 (id INT PRIMARY KEY, item TEXT, par TEXT, val FLOAT) This seems much simpler if you have many parameters (as I do). However, the parameter retrieval seems very awkward: SELECT val FROM t1 WHERE par == 'p1' What do you advice? Should go for the "pivoted" (first) version or the id, par, val (second) version?     Hey there. I have a c# application that parses txt files and imports the data from them into a sql db. I was using sqlite and am now working on porting it to sql server. It was working fine with sqlite but now with sql i am getting an error when it is processing the files.     When I enter an Excel formula by hand avoiding the mouse, I can conveniently reference cells by using the arrow keys (-,<- etc.). For example, I can enter the formula =A2&B2 in cell C2 by entering =<-&<-<- The result looks like this: If I want to change from B2 to B3, I can just press the downward arrow on the keyboard at this time. How do I do the same thing later, after having left this cell (e.g. by pressing Enter)? In other words, how do I get the flashing dashed line back when re-entering a cell with F2?

However, as the name would imply, the delegate Service needs a reference to the original service to delegate calls to. I'm having trouble figuring out how to override the bean definition while using the original bean def without running into a circular reference issue.     i m trying to make a simple program ( & yes , it is a homework ) that can generate Dates , & like most of normal people : i made my Class attributes private , i tried to send the same type that i m working on to the constructor but the complier have not accept it , i did some research & i found out that in cases like that people generously send a const "type" reference to the constructor witch meant to me that have not understand OOP well so why do we have to send the const " type " reference instead of just the types name to the constructor ? & please give me some links or websites for beginners PS : sorry for my English
