Adding NavigationControl to a TabBar Application containing UITableViews

Hi, I'm new to iPhone dev and wanted to get advice on the general design pattern / guide for putting a certain kind of app together. I'm trying to build a TabBar type application. One of the tabs needs to display a TableView and selecting a cell from within the table view will do something else - maybe show another table view or a web page. I need a Navigation Bar to be able to take me back from the table view/web page. The approach I've taken so far is to: Create an app based around UITabBarController as the rootcontroller i.e. @interface MyAppDelegate : NSObject <UIApplicationDelegate> { IBOutlet UIWindow *window; IBOutlet UITabBarController *rootController; } Create a load of UIViewController derived classes and associated NIBs and wire everything up in IB so when I run the app I get the basic tabs working. Dynamic checkboxlist

Hi, I am currently building a dynamic url tab system that user can say what urls they want to be displayed on a tabpage control. In the database i have the following columns. userID, int URLName var Enabled bit I am pulling the data back ok but what i am trying do is populate a checkbox list with the urlname and its status on a user options page so they can say what tabs they want displayed. I have wrote the following methods to get the urls and create the checkboxes however i keep getting the following error. ex = {"InvalidArgument=Value of '1' is not valid for 'index'.\r\nParameter name: index"} It reads the first row ok but when it hits the 2nd row that is being returned i get that error. Has anyone got any ideas? Bizarre problem with WPF XAML file.

I've just started a very simple WPF application which consists of a main large image and four smaller images. In order to assist with the layout, I created some JPEGs in MsPaint containing the images -2, -1, 0, +1 and +2 and just copied them into the top level of the project directory. Bind button visibility to the expresion (C#)

I have a delete button in each row of GridView (component ASP.NET). I want some of the delete buttons to be invisible. The visibility of the delete button should depend on the data that are back the row. GridView is backed by EntityDataSource. GridView displays entities called Category, one instance in each row. Entity Category has (besides others) also a field of type EntityCollection. Name of that field is Items. Basically I want to allow user to delete a row only if the Items field of backing Category entity is an empty collection. I cannot make up the binding of Visible property. I have no experience with bindings and Google does not really help. This is how the button looks right now: <asp:Button ID="DeleteButton" runat="server" CommandName="Delete" Text="Delete" Visible=??? ></asp:Button> I don't know what should replace ???. The button schold be visible only when this expression evaluates to true: ((SimpleEShop.Model.Category) dataItem).Items.LongCount() <= 0 where dataItem variable contains data of current row in the table. What is the binding that I need ?

Data Access Layer - static list objects and caching

Hello, i am devloping a site using .net MVC i have a data access layer which basically consists of static list objects that are created from data within my database. The method that rebuilds this data first clears all the list objects. Once they are empty it then add the data. Here is an example of one of the lists im using. its a method which generates all the UK postcodes. there are about 50 methods similar to this in my application that return all sorts of information, such as towns, regions, members, emails etc. public static List<PostCode> AllPostCodes = new List<PostCode>(); when the rebuild method is called it first clears the list. The exception is "Index was outside the bounds of the array." it is due to when a list is being cleared. ListPostCodes.AllPostCodes.Clear(); - // throws exception - although its not always in regard to this list. Once this exception is thrown application dies, All users are affected. I have to restart the server to fix it. i have 2 questions... If i utilise caching instead of static objects would this help ? Is there any way i can say "while the rebuild is taking place, wait for it to complete until accepting requests" any help is most appricaiated ;) truegilly

May I know How I can manipulate Comment's properties for each row? Any help would be appreciated. I tried in my javascript that for each row rowObject.Comments.FirstName and it did not work.

DataTable throwing exception on RejectChanges

I found this bug while working with a DataTable. I added a primary key column to a DataTable, than added one row to that table, removed that row, and added row with the same key to the table. This works. When I tried to call RejectChanges() on it, I got ConstraintException saying that value is already present. Here is the example: var dataTable = new DataTable(); var column = new DataColumn("ID", typeof(decimal)); dataTable.Columns.Add(column); dataTable.PrimaryKey = new [] {column }; decimal id = 1; var oldRow = dataTable.NewRow(); oldRow[column] = id; dataTable.Rows.Add(oldRow); dataTable.AcceptChanges(); oldRow.Delete(); var newRow = dataTable.NewRow(); newRow[column] = id; dataTable.Rows.Add(newRow); dataTable.RejectChanges(); // This is where it crashes I think since the row is deleted, exception should not be thrown (constraint is not violated because row is in deleted state). Is there something I can do about this? Any help is appreciated.

How to use a c# datagridview to update a database file just like Access does?

I have googled everywhere and I am finally giving up and asking here. I am working in Visual Studio 2010 with C#. I have set up a form with a datagridview connected to a MSSQL database and I need to save changes made in the datagridview back to the physical database. I am having some success but I think that I am going about some of it completely wrong because I can not get it to save consistently. What I really want is for the updates to work just like they do when working with Access. When I edit a row in the datagridview and then leave that row, either by selecting another row or by selecting some other control on the form or even by changing to another form or quitting the application the row should be automatically pdated to the physical database. The first part of this question I think is, what is the proper event to use to trigger the save and then second what methods should be used to actually write the data to the database?

The problem is that in the Excel sheets I am importing, I do not know beforehand which cells are calculated and which are not. Is there a way for me to read in the value of a cell in a way that automatically gets the value if it has a simple value and gets the result of the calculation if it is a calculation?

MySQL query pulling from two tables, display in correct fields

It looks as though where both links.id and project.id are equal, it outputs anything, but when there is no links.id associated with a given $clientID the container relative to the $clientID doesn't display at all. Essentially I'm using this to add links dynamically to a specific client in this CMS and if there are no links, I want the container to show up anyway. Hopefully I've expressed myself clearly, any pointers in the right direction are appreciated. Thanks!

CSS Multiple multi-column divs

I have a bunch of items (text, image, mixed content, etc) that I want to display. The user can define what row and what column that item appears in. For example, in row 1, there could be two items/columns, both images. In row two, there could be three items / columns, one with an image, two others as pure text. Oh, and the user may specify the width of any particular column/image/item. I have a solution that uses multiple tables that works. In essence, each row is a new table. This works for the most part. I'm wondering if I can use just divs? Now my CSS foo is lacking, and I tried to copy examples from the web, and I haven't been able to get it working. Right now I have something like this: `[for each row] [for each column] [content] ` But everything is overlapping each other. I've also tried using "position: relative", but things look even more borked. So can divs actually be used for multiple rows and different number of columns?

Okay this is probably a really dumb question, however its really starting to hurt. I have a numpy matrix, and basically i print it out row by row. Hello guys, i have a table with a column that contains Boolean type. now when i try to run a program i have a problem: System.out.println(table.getColumnClass(5)); b= (Boolean)table.getValueAt(row, 5); It prints class java.lang.Boolean but also: Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.String cannot be cast to java.lang.Boolean and i even try with b= (Boolean)table.getValueAt(row, 5); b= Boolean.parseBoolean((String)table.getValueAt(row, 5)); b= table.getValueAt(row, 5); but those show error too. So how to fix this guys?

uploading image & getting back from database

Putting a set of code which is pushing image to database and fetching back from database:  Above set of code has one problem. The problem is whenever i pressing the "submit" button. It is just displaying the image on a page. But it is leaving all the html codes. even any new line message after the // Printing image on browser echo $resultbytes; //************************// So, for this i put this set of code in html tag: This is other sample code:  ** But in this It is showing the image in format of special charaters and digits. 1) So, Please help me to print the image with some HTML code. So that i can print it in my form to display the image. 2) Is there any way to convert the database image into real image, so that i can store it into my hard-disk and call it from tag? Please help me.

"\" height = $FooterWidth /></a>XX; } Here I am using $row[logo] is fetching the path of images stored on the server and XX to put the spaced between the images having the same color of text XX as background, and but I want to use the proper method I know this can be done using table but I want to do it without using table. Any Suggestions?

Iteration, or copying in XSL, based on a count. How do I do it?

I'm trying to create an inventory list (tab-delimited text, for the output) from XML data. The catch is, I need to take the line that I created, and list it multiple times (iterate ???), based on a number found in the XML. So, from the XML below: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <library> <aisle label="AA"> <row>bb</row> <shelf>a</shelf> <books>4</books> </aisle> <aisle label="BB"> <row>cc</row> <shelf>d</shelf> <books>3</books> </aisle> </library> I need to take the value found in "books", and then copy the text line that number of times. The result looking like this: Aisle Row Shelf Titles AA bb a AA bb a AA bb a AA bb a BB cc d BB cc d BB cc d So that the inventory taker, can then write in the titles found on each shelf.
