    Suppose an example. I have following interface: public interface DataSource<T> { Future<T> fetch(); } This datasource can do asynchronous data fetching. And we have following tag for using datasource in JSP: <html> <d:fetch from="${orderDS}" var="orders"> <c:foreach in="${orders}" var="order"> <div class="order"> <c:out value="${order.title}" /> </div> </c:foreach> </d:fetch> </html> So, what I want? I want JSP rendering engine to call my custom tag (FetchTag in this example) twice. On first call FetchTag will do DataSource.fetch() call and save Future locally as a object field. On second call FetchTag do Future.get() call and will be blocked until data becomes available. Is there any way to do such a thing?

So far I have something along the lines of: List<FileInfo> files = new List<FileInfo>(); IEnumerable<FileInfo> result = files.Where(f=>f.Extension.Equals(".jpg", StringComparison.InvariantCultureIgnoreCase)|| f.Extension.Equals(".gif", StringComparison.InvariantCultureIgnoreCase) ); etc Obviously I'm not happy with this solution, but I don't know how to do this otherwise in a single call. What's the better way to go about it?

It is passing the last dynamically created row i.e. dataStructure.length value.     I'm sure this is an easy fix and I just can't find it, but here goes: I have a C# class (let's call it Test) in an assembly (let's say SOTest.dll). Here is something along the lines of what I'm doing: private List<string> items; public List<string> list_items() { return this.items; } public void set_items(List<string> new_items) { this.items = new_items; } In the IronRuby interpreter I run: >>> require "SOTest.dll" true >>> include TestNamespace Object >>> myClass = Test.new TestNamespace.Test >>> myClass.list_items() ['Apples', 'Oranges', 'Pears'] >>> myClass.set_items ['Peaches', 'Plums'] TypeError: can't convert Array into System::Collections::Generic::List(string) I get a similar error whether I make the argument a 'List< string ', 'List< object ' or 'string[ ]'. What is the proper syntax? I can't find a documented mapping of types anywhere (because it's likely too complicated to define in certain scenarios given what Ruby can do).

    I'm getting some problems trying Google Geocoding service when using special characters like "º" or letters with accents. Whenever I try something like: "barcelona, nº 10" I get 0 results. But trying: "barcelona n 10" I get results... I suspect is something related with encoding.     Hi, I get the following error when I try to validate a contact page on my site: document type does not allow element "script" here The element named above was found in a context where it is not allowed. This could mean that you have incorrectly nested elements -- such as a "style" element in the "body" section instead of inside "head" -- or two elements that overlap (which is not allowed). One common cause for this error is the use of XHTML syntax in HTML documents. Due to HTML's rules of implicitly closed elements, this error can create cascading effects. For instance, using XHTML's "self-closing" tags for "meta" and "link" in the "head" section of a HTML document may cause the parser to infer the end of the "head" section and the beginning of the "body" section (where "link" and "meta" are not allowed; hence the reported error).     Am writing unit test for a multi-threading application, where I need to wait until a specific event triggered so that I know the asyn operation is done. E.g. When I call repository.add(something), I wait for event AfterChange before doing any assertion. Is there a way to achieve that?

Why can I not declare the parameter as follows... ... (ByVal g As Getter(Of TResult)) Is there a way to do it? My end goal was to be able to set a delegate for property setters and getters in the called class. But my reading indicates you can't do that. So I put setter and getter methods in that class and then I want the calling class to set the delegate argument and then invoke. Is there a best practice for doing this. I realize in the above example that I can set set the delegate variable from the calling class...but I am trying to create a singleton with tight encapsulation. For the record, I can't use any of the new delegate types declared in .net35. Answers in C# are welcome. Any thoughts? Seth

    Im having this weird reference issue when im trying to get a JSON file through query: var themeData; $.getJSON("json/sample.js", function(data) { themeData = data.theme; console.log(themeData.sample[0].description); }); console.log(themeData.sample[0].description); The first console.log works, the second doesnt. Im guessing because "data" already expired by the time the script gets there and themeData is just a mere pointer to "data". Is there a ways I can make sure themeData gets a duplicate of "data" and not just a pointer to it?
