  I am trying to get a user's contact's birthdays, from Google's data API using the gdata gem. But even though I use the full feed, it does not include the gContact:birthday element. I have also tried fetching only one contact, but the birthday element is still missing.

I there a way to do syntax checking automatically, like XMLDocument does ? I have tried setting various XmlReaderSettings flags but found nothing useful.

  I got script what read from database and manipulate it so on the end I got $result array... on one server is it possible to serialize this object and pass it to other script so this $result array could be available for other script on second server... I got on first server: return serialize ( $results ); and on second: $data = unserialize ( file_get_contents ( 'http://www.......com/reader.php' ) ); ...but there is no communication between ....   I'm a blind student currently in a system admin/shell programming class. Although ssh works fine for executing commands like ls, pwd, etc editors do not work well with my screen reader and an ssh session. I was wondering if it is possible to mount a Linux folder over ssh so it appears as a windows drive? This way I could edit any files I needed to with accessible software and not have to constantly use SCP to send files back and fourth.

I read the setting by the following command: string dpath = HttpContext.Current.Request.PhysicalApplicationPath.ToString(); XmlTextReader reader = new XmlTextReader(dpath + "Settings.xml"); This is working perfectly when running the application on the localhost, but when I publish the webserver I am getting an error, most probably because the settings are not being loaded.   im using a UIWebView to show html content in my app, the app contains two arrows to navigate between topics just like a RSS reader app, but when the user hits up or down arrow, the next topic doesn't show up until the data come back and the user still able to interact with the UI which is a bit confusing, My question: how to block the UI when user moves to the next/back topic ? in other words how to make loadHTMLString:baseURL: works as a synchronous calling ? thanks !
