  • Building XCode From Command Line Issues (Updating Entitlements file location)

    The first error is a warning for complier 'com.apple.compilers.gcc.4_0' I don't know if this is okay and I can just not worry about it. The second tells me that my entitlements file is no longer at that location. I know this and I thought I had correctly updated it in Xcode's info window. This project builds fine in Xcode.     Hi, I would like to know what lines of C code to add to a program so that it tells me the total time that the program takes to run. I guess there should be counter initialization near the beginning of main and one after the main function ends. Is the right header clock.h? Thanks a lot... Update I have a Win Xp machine.   • UISegmentedControl is hidden under the titleBar

  • Calling a function that resides in the main page from a plugin?

    I want to call a function from within plugin, but the function is on the main page and not the plugin's .js file. EDIT I have jQuery parsing a very large XML file and building, subsequently, a large list (1.1 MB HTML file when dynamic content is copied, pasted, then saved) that has expand/collapse functionality through a plugin. The overall performance on IE is super slow and doggy, assuming since the page/DOM is so big. I am currently trying to save the collapsed content in the event.data when it is collapsed and remove it from the DOM, then bring it back when it is told to expand... the issue that I am having is that when I bring the content back, obviously the "click" and "hover" events are gone. I'm trying to re-assign them, currently doing so inside the plugin after the plugin expands the content. The issue then though is that is says the function that I declare within the .click() is not defined. As I was reviewing the code in this post this morning after being away over the weekend, I found where I had err'd. I have googled it and found this SO question but it doesn't help. What's wrong?

  • Maven downloads have .lastUpdated as extension

    I am a beginner to Eclipse and maven. I have an Eclipse setup with m2eclipse and subversive. I have imported a maven2 project from svn. But I get the error message that a whole bunch of artifacts are missing (for instance: Missing artifact org.springframework:spring-test:jar:3.0.1.RELEASE:test). If I look in my repository I see the jar files there but they have an extra extension .lastUpdated. Why is maven appending .lastUpdated to the jars? And more importantly: how can I fix this? Btw there is no mention of the type lastUpdated in my POMs.

    I just installed the release version of Visual Studio 2010, and it looks like there's something wrong with the standard ASP.NET server controls. When I create a basic server control, such as a TextBox, the editor underlines it in green and says (I also get no intellisense for ASP.NET controls): Element 'TextBox' is not a known element. This can occur if there is a compilation error in the Web site, or the Web.config file is missing. The web site builds fine, and the Web.config file is not missing: <?xml version="1.0"?> <configuration> <system.web> <compilation debug="false" targetFramework="4.0" /> </system.web> </configuration> The controls work just fine in the code-behind, and they function correctly when I run the site. Is there some configuration problem here?

  • Any good way to set the exit status of a Cocoa application?

    I have a Cocoa app which interacts with a server and displays a GUI. If there is a fatal error, I display an alert and exit. I'd like to set the exit status to a non-zero value to reflect that an error occurred, for ease of interaction with some other UNIX based tools. Unfortunately I've been unable to find a good way to do so - NSApplication doesn't seem to have any way to set an exit status. At the moment, I've subclassed NSApplication and added an exitStatus ivar (which I set in my app delegate when necessary), then overridden -terminate: so that it calls exit(exitStatus). This works fine, but it seems a bit grungy to me, not to mention that I may be missing something important that the stadnard `terminate: is doing behind the scenes. I can't call [super terminate:sender] in my subclassed method, because that exit()s without giving me a chance to set the status. Am I missing something obvious?

    For a custom wiki django-wakawaka, i want to be able to add a WYSIWYG support. TinyMCE is obviously the most popular plugin, used even by Wordpress. But CK-editor seems more feature full. Those who have used either of these or both, which is better and why. Are there some better packages, that I am missing? Is there something that I am missing when I conclude CKeditor is better, by going through them (because it is not as widely used). I want to use it with django and jquery, with multiple instances of WYSIWYG widget per page. Does one offer advantage over the other.

    Hi All, Trying my luck with the vote_fu rails plugin. The functionality looks like exactly what I need for a project of mine, but I have hit a roadblock. I have followed the github readme to the letter, installing it as a plugin. I have put acts_as_voteable on my "Event" model and acts_as_voter on my User model. In the console, when I try: >> event.votes or >> user.votes it successfully returns an empty array. but when I try to do the following: user.vote_for(event) I get "NoMethodError: undefined method `user_id' for #<Vote:0x7f5ed4355540>" Any ideas? I'm probably just missing something obvious, but maybe something is missing from the plugin's readme. Thanks.

  • javax.servlet import cannot be resolved after moving web servlet

    I have written a small web servlet to run under Tomcat, using Eclipse Helios. In its old, non-source-controlled location, everything was fine, but now I need to add this to our source control system. Moving the old files out of the way, creating a new workspace, setting up the server connection and copying and importing the existing projects into the new workspace all worked fine once I figured out how to do it, but I can't get the servlet to build. Instead, I get a whole bunch of cannot be resolved to a type errors talking about various servlet class types; HttpServlet, HttpServletRequest, ServletException, etc. Another error that is almost certainly related is The import javax.servlet cannot be resolved. I am obviously missing something very basic, but I'm new to this (and not having the terminology really down pat probably doesn't help me Google for an answer). Any suggestions as to what I might be missing would be greatly appreciated.

    I'm about to do some Office integration creating charts from some data-sources and adding them to PPT slides. But some coworkers are saying using PPT charts is suboptimal as they are missing features of Excel charts, and are different in many ways. They're unable to come up with examples, and so am I... I found the following blog about Office2007, saying there are some differences in the programming model, but that they all use the same underlying engine. Are there really any differences in the capabilities of the charts? Is it mostly UI issues? What features are different/missing from PPT charts? Are these issues resolved in Office2010?

  • What are the advantages / disadvantages of a Cloud-based / Web-based IDE?

    I'm writing this as DevConnections in Las Vegas is happening. Visual Studio 2010 has been released and I now have this 3GB beast installed to my machine. (I'll admit, it has some nice features.) However, while the install was monopolizing my computer's resources I began to wish that my IDE worked more like Google Documents (instantly available, available anywhere, easy to share, easy to collaborate, naturally versioned). A few Google (and StackOverflow) searches led me to : Coderun Bespin I'm well aware that these IDE's are missing a lot of what exists in VS 2010. However, that isn't my question. Instead, I'm wondering what benefits a web-based IDE might have? Assuming a company invests the time to create the missing features, what is the downside?
