• Getting information from servlet created html

  I have a servlet that creates an html text box and then redirects to another servlet on submit. How can I access the value of the html text box from the new servlet? • Images won't load if they are of high size

  I have created web-application using JSF 2.0 and mysql. I am storing images in DB using MEDIUMBLOB. When I try to load image, I am able to see those images. However if the image size is big (1 MB or more), I can see half or 3/4th image on the browser. Any idea how to overcome this issue? Do I need to set any variable in JSF or MySQL? I know I should have saved the images over disk instead of DB, however this was client requirement. Client wanted to backup data and provide it to someone else and client don't want to backup DB and images also. Edit 1 Do I need to set any variables on mysql like query_cache. • Bind event to AJAX populated list items

  I have an unordered list with no list items. I get some information from the user, I run it through my database using AJAX and the servers sends back a JSON object response. Then I append each list item I want to display to the list using something like $('blabla').append('<li>information</li>') My question is, since the li elements were not there at the time the DOM was ready, how can I bind a click event to them? • Access php multidimensional array key based on a variable string

  I have stored the XML path to items in a string like this: response->items->item. What I need to do is to access an array called $xml_array like this: $xml_array['response']['items']['item'] When I write it in the code it works. The thing is that I want it to be done on the fly. I use this to convert response->items->item to ['response']['items']['item']: $xml_path = 'response->items->item'; $explode_path = explode('->', $xml_path); $correct_string = false; foreach($explode_path as $path) { $correct_string .= '[\''.$path.'\']'; } the problem is that I can't access $xml_array by doing this: $xml_array[$correct_string] So I end up with this: $xml_tag = 'title'; $xml_path = 'response->items->item'; $correct_string = '$items = $xml2array'; $explode_path = explode('->', $xml_path); foreach($explode_path as $path) { $correct_string .= '[\''.$path.'\']'; } $correct_string .= ';'; eval($correct_string); foreach($items as $item) { echo $item[$xml_tag].'<br />'; } and access the $xml_array array through $items array. • Adding nodes to MAAS server

  I was able to install MAAS server using ubuntu 12.04. Then boot up nodes from he PXE. Then installed maas-precise-x86-64-commissioning through pxe. Now the installation is done. but im unable to commission with the MAAS server. It does not show it as a node and neither im unable to add it manually and end up with following error. Also what is the default username password for maas-precise-x86-64-commissioning. Im unable to login. This error when adding node manually. • Get Pop Up Notifications for Your RSS Feeds with Feed Notifier

This free Windows application runs in the system tray and delivers pop-up notifications to your desktop when your subscribed RSS feeds are updated. Download and install Feed Notifier. (Download link below) When you are finished installing, the Feed Notifier Preferences window will open. Click on the Add… button to add an RSS feed. Copy and paste the Feed URL into the text box and click Next. Choose your polling interval. This is how often your feed will be checked for new items. You can set your polling interval for days, hours, minutes, or even seconds. Click FInish. At your configured interval, Feed Notifier will check your feeds for new items.   Following new Worklist features are available on E-Business Suite 12.1.3 via Patch 13646173. Ability to view comments on top of a notification If an action is performed on a notification such as Reassign, Request for Information or Provide Information, the recipient of the notification will see who performed the last action and the associated comment on top of the notification. Reassigning a request for information notification If an approver requests more information on a notification from it's submitter, the submitter now has two options Answer Request for More Information Transfer Request for More Information If the submitter thinks the requested information can be provided by another user, he/she can transfer the request to the other user. Please note that only Transfer is supported for Request for More Information. Once transferred, the submitter cannot access the notification and provide the requested information. Use actual sent date when reassigning a notification The Sent field in notification header always showed the date on which the notification was first created. If the notification was later reassigned, the Sent date was not updated to show the last action date. This caused problems in following scenario Approval notification was sent to JACK on 01-JAN-2012 JACK waited for 10 days before reassigning to JILL on 10-JAN-2012 JILL does not see the notification as sent on 10-JAN-2012, instead sees it as sent on 01-JAN-2012 Although the notification was originally created on 01-JAN-2012, it was sent to JILL only on 10-JAN-2012 The enhancement now shows the correct sent date in Worklist and Notification Details page. • Subterranean IL: Exception handling 2

  Control flow in and around exception handlers is tightly controlled, due to the various ways the handler blocks can be executed. To start off with, I'll describe what SEH does when an exception is thrown. Handling exceptions When an exception is thrown, the CLR stops program execution at the throw statement and searches up the call stack looking for an appropriate handler; catch clauses are analyzed, and filter blocks are executed (I'll be looking at filter blocks in a later post). Then, when an appropriate catch or filter handler is found, the stack is unwound to that handler, executing successive finally and fault handlers in their own stack contexts along the way, and program execution continues at the start of the catch handler. Because catch, fault, finally and filter blocks can be executed essentially out of the blue by the SEH mechanism, without any reference to preceding instructions, you can't use arbitary branches in and out of exception handler blocks. Instead, you need to use specific instructions for control flow out of handler blocks: leave, endfinally/endfault, and endfilter. Exception handler control flow try blocks You cannot branch into or out of a try block or its handler using normal control flow instructions. The only way of entering a try block is by either falling through from preceding instructions, or by branching to the first instruction in the block. Once you are inside a try block, you can only leave it by throwing an exception or using the leave <label> instruction to jump to somewhere outside the block and its handler. The leave instructions signals the CLR to execute any finally handlers around the block. Most importantly, you cannot fall out of the block, and you cannot use a ret to return from the containing method (unlike in C#); you have to use leave to branch to a ret elsewhere in the method. As a side effect, leave empties the stack. catch blocks The only way of entering a catch block is if it is run by the SEH. At the start of the block execution, the thrown exception will be the only thing on the stack. The only way of leaving a catch block is to use throw, rethrow, or leave, in a similar way to try blocks. However, one thing you can do is use a leave to branch back to an arbitary place in the handler's try block! In other words, you can do this: .try { // ... newobj instance void [mscorlib]System.Exception::.ctor() throw MidTry: // ... leave.s RestOfMethod } catch [mscorlib]System.Exception { // ... leave.s MidTry } RestOfMethod: // ... As far as I know, this mechanism is not exposed in C# or VB. finally/fault blocks The only way of entering a finally or fault block is via the SEH, either as the result of a leave instruction in the corresponding try block, or as part of handling an exception. The only way to leave a finally or fault block is to use endfinally or endfault (both compile to the same binary representation), which continues execution after the finally/fault block, or, if the block was executed as part of handling an exception, signals that the SEH can continue walking the stack. filter blocks I'll be covering filters in a separate blog posts. They're quite different to the others, and have their own special semantics. Phew! Complicated stuff, but it's important to know if you're writing or outputting exception handlers in IL. Dealing with the C# compiler is probably best saved for the next post.

  I'm in process of migrating a JSF 1.2 application to JSF 2.x. My application is using the following APIs: maven-jetty-plugin (version 6.1.10) maven-compiler-plugin (version 2.3.1) myfaces-api & -impl (version 1.2.7) jsf-facelets (version 1.1.14) richfaces (version 3.3.3) javax servlet jstl (version 1.2) javax servlet-api (version 2.5) and some other plugins as well. I updated the versions in faces-config.xml file and removed Facelets 1.1.14 libs and replaced MyFaces 1.2 by JSF 2.x libs, however the application didn't work.   Hello, I downloaded all jar files for Spring Security 3.0 and added them to my lib folder in Netbeans 6.8.   In SDK 1.5 I was using the PackageManager class to set the preferred home screen to be my app using PackageManager.addPackageToPreferred(). In the new SDK (using 2.1) this has been deprecated so I'm trying to use addPreferredActivity() for the same result but it's not working as expected. Some necessary background. I'm writing a lock screen replacement app so I want the home key to launch my app (which will already be running, hence having the effect of disabling the key). When the user "unlocks" the screen I intend to restore the mapping so everything works as normal. • Different Azure blob streams when using .Net client vs. REST interface

  I have encountered an unusual difference in the way that the .Net client for Azure and the direct REST API bring back streams of binary data. If I use the CloundBlob.DownloadToStream() vs. getting the response stream from the HTTP response, I get streams with the same length, but different content. Specifically the REST response seems to 0 out a series of bytes. I've discovered this issue because I'm trying to use the byte range feature for blobs which is currently not supported in the .Net client (if I'm wrong on this point and someone can point at where I can do this it might make the rest of this question irrelevant). • Insert a doctype into an XML document (Java/ SAX)

  Imagine you have an XML document and imagine you have the DTD but the document itself doesn't actually specify a DOCTYPE ... How would you insert the DOCTYPE declaration, preferably by specifying it on the parser (similar to how you can set the schema for a document that will be parsed) or by inserting the necessary SAX events via an XMLFilter or the like? I've found many references to EntityResolver, but that is what's invoked once a DOCTYPE is found during parsing and it's used to point to a local DTD file. EntityResolver2 appears to have what I'm looking for but I haven't found any examples of usage. • How to fix IE ClearType + jQuery opacity problem in this script?

  Hello, I'm having a rather common problem (or so it seems, after some googling around...) with IE messing both bold text AND transparent pngs while animating opacity using jQuery.   Hello, I am trying to implement a sort on the returned results of a search with rails. Filter by: 'recent' % | 'lowest_price' % | 'highest_price' % here are my links. I would like to add a filter to the end of my search query. So for example, I submit a search and I get back results and in my url I have http://localhost:3000/junks?search=handbag&condition=&category=&main_submit=Go! I would then like the user to be able to click one of the above links and have the page come back with a new query (i have this set up in the controller like such) con_id = params[:condition] if params[:category].nil? || params[:category].empty? cat_id = params[:category] results = Junk.search params[:search], :with => { :category_id => cat_id, :condition_id => con_id } case params[:filter] when "lowest_price" @junks = results.lowest_price.paginate :page => params[:page], :per_page => 12 when "highest_price" @junks = results.highest_price.paginate :page => params[:page], :per_page => 12 else @junks = results.paginate :page => params[:page], :per_page => 12 end else I would like the user to be able to click on of the above links and append a filter param to the end of the search query so that my controller can pick it up and call the correct database queries as seen in the case statement above. So I tried the following trick: java.util.logging.Logger.getLogger("javax.xml.ws.WebServiceException").setLevel( java.util.logging.Level.OFF); it didn't worked neither. Any ideas ? It is not a big issue but it makes my catalina.log getting bigger & bigger and it's not the appropriate place for this kind of log. Chris

I've added an appropriate intent filter and metadata tag to manifest file but if I click Search button it invokes standard android search box. What's my problem?   Hi I have here two applications in two different projects in eclipse. One application (A) defines an activity (A1) which is started first. Then i start from this activity the second activity (B1) in the second project (B). This works fine. I start it the following way: Intent intent = new Intent("pacman.intent.action.Launch"); intent.addFlags(Intent.FLAG_ACTIVITY_SINGLE_TOP); startActivity(intent); Now i want to send intents bewtween the two activities by using broadcast receivers.   When I am using DomainKeys and DKIM together on a linux system, do I run both of them on the same port?
