  • How to know all id's that i have in the file main.xml in android?

    Hello guy's, i'm new at Android world, and i have a doubt, is there any method that give me the name of the id's i create in main.xml? For example i have this: main.xml <TextView android:id="@+id/text1" android:layout_width="70px" android:layout_height="70px" android:text="Google" /> <TextView android:id="@+id/text2" android:layout_width="70px" android:layout_height="70px" android:text="As" /> And what i want is the id name from the two TextView, is there any method that i can use in my class .java that give me for this example the id? In this case i want the (text1 and text2). Thanks and forgive mi English.

  • Do you know of a C dictionary that supports COW transactions?

    I'm looking for a key - value dictionary library written in C that supports a theoretically unlimited number of cheap transactions. I'd like to have one dictionary in memory, with hundreds of threads starting transactions, possibly modifying the dictionary, ending (completing) the transaction or potentially aborting the transaction. Only 50% of the time will these threads actually modify the dictionary. Most dictionary transaction implementations that I've seen copy always, instead of copying on write, whenever a transaction is started. Given the expected size ( 1GB) of the dictionary, I'm hoping to find something that COWs only when something is actually changed during a transaction. I'm also hoping for something that is packaged by most major GNU/Linux distributions. Any suggestions or links are very much appreciated.

    Hi, We are developing a product in C#.Net. We would definately not like our product to be copied easily across machines (in short pirated). For that purpose can anybody suggest using a 3rd party tool or a home grown solution. What are the pros and cons of each. One negative about home grown solution is that the cost involved in creating one from scratch. Can somebody comment on the technology to be used for licensing as .Net can be decompiled.

  • How do I test against a large number of regular expressions quickly and know which one matched?

    I'm writing a program in .net where the user may provide a large number of regular expressions. For a given string, I need to figure out which regular expression matches that string (if more than one matches, I just need the first one that matches). However, if there are a large number of regular expressions this operation can take a very long time. I was somewhat hoping there would be something similar to flex for .net that would allow me to specify a large number of regular expressions yet quickly (O(n) according to Wikipedia for n = len(input string)) figure out which regular expression matches. Also, I would prefer not to implement my own regular expression engine :).

  • How can I know which viewController is being displayed(in view) currently by my appdelegate?

    I am doing a normal viewBased application and have added another viewController(along with the xib). When the application starts, normally it will display its own view. I am doing an action and is going to another viewController class. From this class, I want to check which viewController is being displayed currently in the view. How can I do this?   • What is the easiest straightforward way of telling which version performs better?

    I have an application, which I have re-factored so that I believe it is now faster. One can't possibly feel the difference, but in theory, the application should run faster. Normally I would not care, but as this is part of my project for my master's degree, I would like to support my claim that the re-factoring did not only lead to improved design and 'higher quality', but also an increase in performance of the application (a small toy-thing - a train set simulation). I have toyed with the latest VisualVM thing today for about four hours but I couldn't get anything helpful out of it. There isn't (or I haven't found it) a way to simply compare the profiling results taken from the two versions (pre- and post- refactoring). What would be the easiest, the most straightforward way of simply telling the slower from the faster version of the application. The difference of the two must have had an impact on the performance. Thank you.

  • How do I upload a file when I know the client's filepath?

    I'm interested in the way Sonic Living detects your iTunes library XML file. It prompts the user to approve its actions, then automatically uploads the XML file based on the client OS (and assuming the default installation path of iTunes). How the heck does it do that? None of the upload libraries I've looked at have this feature. They all assume that a user will click "Select file..." then browse around for the right thing to upload.
