  • Storing a secret key on Android

    My Android application uses a secret key to generate a token for authentication purposes. Is there a more secure way to store this than just putting this in the data store? I think for the iPhone, we store it in the keychain. I am aware of android.accounts.AccountManager, but this seems to give other applications potentially the ability to access the password (if the user selects the wrong option) and so seems less secure.

  • Selecting a date value from a dynamically generated listbox.

    Hi All, I have a listbox whose values are generated dynamically. The list box contains months and years and when generated looks like this. <select name="arr_dtm_mon_year" tabindex="150" class="input"> <option value=""></option> <option value="NOV 09">Nov 09</option> <option value="DEC 09">Dec 09</option> <option value="JAN 10">Jan 10</option> <option value="FEB 10">Feb 10</option> <option value="MAR 10">Mar 10</option> <option value="APR 10">Apr 10</option> <option value="MAY 10">May 10</option> <option value="JUN 10" selected>Jun 10</option> <option value="JUL 10">Jul 10</option> <option value="AUG 10">Aug 10</option> <option value="SEP 10">Sep 10</option> <option value="OCT 10">Oct 10</option> </select> The element in the listbox that is by default selected is the current month. When i use selenium IDE to select from this listbox it works fine. Here are example commands i use to select from the listbox. <tr> <td>select</td> <td>arr_dtm_mon_year</td> <td>label=Oct 10</td> </tr> <tr> <td>select</td> <td>arr_dtm_mon_year</td> <td>label=May 10</td> </tr> Now the problem i have is the values in the listbox is dynamically generated. In the above example i selected the option for "May 10". The values that are generated is a list of all previous six months and a list of all future six months. This basically means that if i rerun the test 6 months from now "May 10" will not be available from the list. Is it possible to select the value dynamically. For example can i first calculate the current month and select the value with that is current month + 1 (i.e. next month). And also how can i build the value to be selected after i have determined what the next month is. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, I want to raise the: private void txtbox_startdate_Validating(object sender, System.ComponentModel.CancelEventArgs e) {} Function from a key leave event. The leave event looks like: private void txtbox_startdate_Leave(object sender, EventArgs e) {} The trouble is of course if I try and call it in this manner: txtbox_startdate_Validating(sender, e) An error is raised because in this case 'e' is an EventArgs whereas the validation function wants a System.ComponentModel.CancelEventArgs and so, how do I convert EventArgs to a System.ComponentModel.CancelEventArgs or create one so that I can call my validation function?     I'd like to know if there is a way to figure out if a key does something in vim. I know that I can use :map to see user-defined mappings, but is there something for the built-in stuff? For example, I always had CTRL-W bound to close tab, because I thought that it was unused. After half a year, I found out that there are some sequences that use it, like CTRL-W CTRL-S to split the window, and it was a nightmare to retrain myself.

If amend the hbm files produced by FNH then the code works. Does anyone know what it's wrong? Thanks in advance.

    MySQL has something like this: INSERT INTO visits (ip, hits) VALUES ('127.0.0.1', 1) ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE hits = hits + 1; As far as I'm know this feature doesn't exist in SQLite, what I want to know is if there is any way to archive the same effect without having to execute two queries. Also, if this is not possible, what do you prefer: SELECT + (INSERT or UPDATE) or UPDATE (+ INSERT if UPDATE fails)

[this will respectively run another function which is already working..] i've tried and also putting it in a function and then running it from onclick, or making a $(#'inputBtn').click(function()..... nothing works for me please help!!

    Dear Cocoa Developers, I'm creating a backgrounded cocoa application. The only thing that it's missing is the ability to take text inputs! I'm making the application backgrounded by setting "Application is background only" in the Info.plist But no matter what I do I can't make any window the keyWindow. makeKeyWindow makeKeyAndOrderFront Both don't work...     Hi, I have an UITextField object in my view and want to launch a method when user press backspace button and textField is empty. First I have to do is to create a cursor storing text length, so when cursor changes from 1 to 0 there is nothing to do. The only way to launch the method is when text length is 0 - press backspace - remain to 0. How to catch the event of pressing the backspace key in my UITextField ? Thanks in advance !

    I want to define a trigger in PostgreSQL to check that the inserted row, on a generic table, has the the property: "no other row exists with the same key in the same valid time" (the keys are sequenced keys). In fact, I has already implemented it. But since the trigger has to scan the entire table, now i'm wondering: is there a need for a table-level lock? Or this is managed someway by the PostgreSQL itself?
