  • How can I position QDockWidgets as the screen shot shows using code?

    I want a Qt window to come up with the following arrangement of dock widgets on the right. Qt allows you to provide an argument to the addDockWidget method of QMainWindow to specify the position (top, bottom, left or right) but apparently not how two QDockWidgets placed on the same side will be arranged. Here is the code that adds the dock widgets. this uses PyQt4 but it should be the same for Qt with C++ self.memUseGraph = mem_use_widget(self) self.memUseDock = QDockWidget("Memory Usage") self.memUseDock.setObjectName("Memory Usage") self.memUseDock.setWidget(self.memUseGraph) self.addDockWidget(Qt.DockWidgetArea(Qt.RightDockWidgetArea),self.memUseDock) self.diskUsageGraph = disk_usage_widget(self) self.diskUsageDock = QDockWidget("Disk Usage") self.diskUsageDock.setObjectName("Disk Usage") self.diskUsageDock.setWidget(self.diskUsageGraph) self.addDockWidget(Qt.DockWidgetArea(Qt.RightDockWidgetArea),self.diskUsageDock) When this code is used to add both of them to the right side, one is above the other, not like the screen shot I made.   • How to run lengthy tasks from an ASP.NET page?

    I've got an ASP.NET page with a simple form. The user fills out the form with some details, uploads a document, and some processing of the file then needs to happens on the server side. My question is - what's the best approach to handling the server side processing of the files? The processing involves calling an exe. Should I use seperate threads for this? Ideally I want the user to submit the form without the web page just hanging there while the processing takes place.   • MetadataType and client validation in ASP.NET MVC 2

    Inherited properties and MetadataType does not seem to work with client side validation in ASP.NET MVC 2. The validation of our MetadataTypes work as expected on the server but for some reason it does not generate the appropriate client scripts for it. Client side validation kicks in as expected for properties with the DataAnnotations attributes set on the PersonView so I know that client side validation is active and that it works. Does anyone know if or how it can be fixed?     I have 2 tables that I import to EF model. First table has a property [section] that acts as foreign key to the second table. When I map this property in model to the table and try to compile I get this error: Problem in Mapping Fragments starting at lines 158, 174: Non-Primary-Key column(s) [Section] are being mapped in both fragments to different conceptual side properties - data inconsistency is possible because the corresponding conceptual side properties can be independently modified. If i remove this property from the model it passes, but when I query the data I don't have the section field. I know that I can get it by using the navigation field and reading this property from the second table, but to make it work I must include the other table in my query. var res = from name in Context.Table1.Include("Table2")... Why do I need to include the association just for one field?

  • FLEX: UIComponent Click Handler??

    Hello, Thanks for reading. I'm trying to put a label and an image on a UIComponent, side-by-side. I want to use UIComponent for efficiency reasons, and the entire component is more complicated than just a button with an icon. I'm trying to get a click handler on ther entire UIComponent so that when a click happens on either the label or the image, the same [click] event handler is called. If I add a click handler on the root component, it works, but when I introduce space between the label and the image, the space between them becomes un-clickable. I produce the space by using the move(x,y) method for the label and the image with a small gap between the x/y coordinates. Any ideas how to remedy this? Thanks.

  • distinguishing a string with flex

    Hi, I need to tokenize some strings which will be splitted of according to operators like = and !=. I was successful using regex until the string has != operator. In my case, string was seperated into two parts, which is expected but ! mark is in the left side even it is part of given operator. Therefore, I believe that regex is not suitable for it and I want to benefit from lex. Since I do not have enough knowledge and experience with lex, I am not sure whether it fits my work or not. Basically, I am trying to do replace the right hand side of the operators with actual values from other data. Do you people think that can it be helpful for my case? Thanks.

    Hi, hows it going, I have searched through the forums and good old google and have found many answers but non seem to work on my page. Anyway here is the question, I have 2 divs that are positioned side by side, and I wish to get rid of the whitespace www.blisshair.com.au/test.html :(http://www.blisshair.com.au/test.html) I want to the black from the "link 1" to join to the main content in the center, Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you. EDIT: Tried opening in Internet explorer 8 and it seems top exactly how I want it, besides the 2 bottom divs not lining up, Is it possible to do this with an UL and SPAN tags ? I am aiming for a tabbed look, for example, when you click on link 2, the background around link 2 goes black and the black color "flows" into the main content page, sorry if this doesnt make sense, early AM here :D Thanks again

  • C - Discard the edges of an arbitrary level of a multidimensional array

    I have some geographical data, that I'm trying to parse into a usable format. The data is kept in NetCDF files, and is read out as a multidimensional array. My problem comes because the source of the geographical data has a strip of longitude on each side of the grid that overlaps the other side. That is, I have a longitude point of -1 degree, and another of 361 degrees. Unfortunately, I've got time, latitude, and sometimes height as dimensions in this array as well, and I have no way of predicting in advance where each dimension will be in the list (or if it's a three dimensional array, or a four dimensional array). Further complicating the problem, the array can be of floats, doubles or integers, so I have to pass it around as a void. Are there any NetCDF tools that I can use to pre-prepare the files? If not, how would you suggest I go about stripping the excess longitudes?

    I need to create an ASP.net page that has a control on the page that has a five-level TreeView on the left side of the page, and accounting balances on the right side the coincide with each breakdown in the tree. Top level is company, next is group, next is program, etc... and the balances break down accordingly. I've seen that there are controls out there such as TreeView/ListView combination controls that can do this. Is there any tutorials or help out there on how to go about accomplishing this without paying for controls? Could a treeview do this alone by spanning data across the entire length of the columns since every level will have totals on it?

    I have an asp:calendar on my view page and as I hover over it..it shows a javascript postback status bar. but I have an asp:button also on the same page and when I hover over it. The action from the controller is in the status bar..because I have an onClick attribute for the button that triggers an action on the server side. and in the asp:calendar I also have a trigger event OnSelectionChanged the has a method on the server side...but as I said when I hover over the calendar to pick a date in the status bar it shows:javascript:_doPostBack($ct100ContentPlaceHolder?mycalendar',''3270) and when I click a date I receive an error that says object doesnt support this method..Also mycalendar is the id name of the asp:calendar

    In my Java app, how can I incorporate the browser (which loads and renders URLs) in Swing and access it's DOM and manipulate HTML ? How can you embed such browser in a Rich Internet Application and access it's DOM ? More specifically, Vaadin ? Is there a HTTP proxy class that can load an external URL, and render it to the user ? This was what I was doing on LAMP stack....but I want to switch to Vaadin or some Java web framework where I can just use Java to do everything from server-side to client-side logic design, so I can focus more on application logic. It's to be used as a client-side validation and I don't want to prevent users from entering whatever they want.     I am developing SL3 + RIA services with custom authentication. I followed the example in http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/RiaServices/Release/ProjectReleases.aspx?ReleaseId=2661 to implement custom authentication. Based on the implementation, you first do login request from client to service. This request is async process. Since login is async, the control will go back to GUI which then starts to do data bind in SL controls using RIA services, the services happens to requires the authentication to be successful (by adding [RequireAuthentication] attribute). The trouble is, since you requested login might not have completed before the data binding starts t this stage the authentication is false because of that data binding will fail. I would like to know if you require your web services to have 'RequireAuthentication' how would you wait for authentication to complete at the server side or client side. Appriciate the help.
