  • Is there a dojo enhanced grid example with context menu

    - by user102023
    I am looking for an example of a dojo enhanced grid that contains a context menu on either a cell or row menu where the cell or row data is accessed. I have managed to create an enhanced grid with a row context menu. I can create a function that captures the event of clicking on the row menu item. However, I am not sure how to access the row data in the context of the menu item handler. I have not seen any example in the tests of the nightly build. Is there an example of this available online?

  • Drupal 6 / Views2 Grid style: whole cells link to nodes

    - by jackocnr
    I have a Users page, which is simply a nicely styled grid (HTML table) of users. I'm displaying a few fields for each one, and both the name and the profile picture have been set to link to the user node. What is the best way to change it so that the whole cell (HTML td) links to the user node? Would you have to use javascript? I've looked into modifying the theme of the view (over-riding the Style output e.g. views-view-grid--users.tpl.php), but cant see an elegant way to get the URL of the user node. And I think you would have to use javascript anyway to turn a whole block element into a link.

  • Render multiple control collections in ASP.NET custom control

    - by Monty
    I've build a custom WebControl, which has the following structure: <gws:ModalBox ID="ModalBox1" HeaderText="Title" runat="server"> <Contents>(controls...)</Contents> <Footer>(controls...)</Footer> </gws:ModalBox> The control contains two ControlCollection properties, 'Contents' and 'Footer'. Never tried to build a control with multiple control collections, but solved it like this (simplified): [PersistChildren(false), ParseChildren(true)] public class ModalBox : WebControl { private ControlCollection _contents; private ControlCollection _footer; public ModalBox() : base() { this._contents = base.CreateControlCollection(); this._footer = base.CreateControlCollection(); } [PersistenceMode(PersistenceMode.InnerProperty)] public ControlCollection Contents { get { return this._contents; } } [PersistenceMode(PersistenceMode.InnerProperty)] public ControlCollection Footer { get { return this._footer; } } protected override void RenderContents(HtmlTextWriter output) { // Render content controls. foreach (Control control in this.Contents) { control.RenderControl(output); } // Render footer controls. foreach (Control control in this.Footer) { control.RenderControl(output); } } } However it seems to render properly, it doesn't work anymore if I add some asp.net labels and input controls inside the property. I'll get the HttpException: Unable to find control with id 'KeywordTextBox' that is associated with the Label 'KeywordLabel'. Somewhat understandable, because the label appears before the textbox in the controlcollection. However, with default asp.net controls it does work, so why doesn't this work? What am I doing wrong? Is it even possible to have two control collections in one control? Should I render it differently? Thanks for replies.

  • What would you recommend for a large-scale Java data grid technology: Terracotta, GigaSpaces, Cohere

    - by cliff.meyers
    I've been reading up on so-called "data grid" solutions for the Java platform including Terracotta, GigaSpaces and Coherence. I was wondering if anyone has real-world experience working any of these tools and could share their experience. I'm also really curious to know what scale of deployment people have worked with: are we talking 2-4 node clusters or have you worked with anything significantly larger than that? I'm attracted to Terracotta because of its "drop in" support for Hibernate and Spring, both of which we use heavily. I also like the idea of how it decorates bytecode based on configuration and doesn't require you to program against a "grid API." I'm not aware of any advantages to tools which use the approach of an explicit API but would love to hear about them if they do in fact exist. :) I've also spent time reading about memcached but am more interested in hearing feedback on these three specific solutions. I would be curious to hear how they measure up against memcached in the event someone has used both.

  • Naming selenium grid nodes. Spawning a specific node

    - by ???? ????
    I'm trying to implement a kind of default queues in selenium hub. There is a possibility to specify node's name (actually its environment, smth like "firefox on ubuntu" or "chrome on windows"). Selenium grid itself has a default queue, it works according to 'First In, First Out' principle. But I want to prioritize some of my tasks given to selenium server. I have no possibility to introduce custom queue (seems like there is no API for that), that's why I decided to separate queue's logic from selenium server. I'll only call a specific node with specific name (environment) for example "firefox important node" or smth like that. So, I want to know how to directly tell selenium which node to use for my task? And generally, am I thinking in a right way? Here are my configs: hubConfig.json.erb { "host": null, "port": <%= node[:selenium][:server][:port] %>, "newSessionWaitTimeout": -1, "servlets" : [], "prioritizer": null, "capabilityMatcher": "org.openqa.grid.internal.utils.DefaultCapabilityMatcher", "throwOnCapabilityNotPresent": true, "nodePolling": <%= node[:selenium][:server][:node_polling] %>, "cleanUpCycle": <%= node[:selenium][:server][:cleanup_cycle] %>, "timeout": <%= node[:selenium][:server][:timeout] %>, "browserTimeout": 0, "maxSession": <%= node[:selenium][:server][:max_session] %> } nodeConfig.json.erb { "capabilities": [ { "browserName": "firefox", "maxInstances": 5, "seleniumProtocol": "WebDriver" }, { "browserName": "chrome", "maxInstances": 5, "seleniumProtocol": "WebDriver" }, { "browserName": "phantomjs", "maxInstances": 5, "seleniumProtocol": "WebDriver" } ], "configuration": { "proxy": "org.openqa.grid.selenium.proxy.DefaultRemoteProxy", "maxSession": <%= node[:selenium][:node][:max_session] %>, "port": <%= node[:selenium][:node][:port] %>, "host": "<%= node[:fqdn] %>", "register": true, "registerCycle": <%= node[:selenium][:node][:register_cycle] %>, "hubPort": <%= node[:selenium][:server][:port] %> } } And my Driver class: ... def remote_driver @browser = Watir::Browser.new(:remote, :url => "http://myhub.com:4444/wd/hub", :http_client => client, :desired_capabilities => capabilities ) end def capabilities Selenium::WebDriver::Remote::Capabilities.send( "firefox", :javascript_enabled => true, :css_selectors_enabled => true, :takes_screenshot => true ) end def client client = Selenium::WebDriver::Remote::Http::Default.new client.timeout = 360 client end ... I still don't know how to use specified node for my task. If I try to start a driver adding :name => "firefox important node" and extend nodeConfig.json.erb's configuration with environments: - name: "firefox important node" browser: "*firefox" - name: "Firefox36 on Linux" browser: "*firefox" selenium just starts random firefox browser on a random node. How can I control it?

  • What grid distributed computing frameworks are currently favoured for trading systems

    - by Rich
    There seems to a quite a few grid computing frameworks out there, but which ones are actually being used to any great extent by the investment banks for purposes of low latency distributing calculation? I'd be interested to hear answers covering both windows,Linux and cross platform. Also, what RPC mechanisms seem to be favoured most? I've heard that for reason of low latency and speed, the calculations themselves are quite often written in C++/C as calculations running on VMs are several orders of magnitude slower than native code. Does this seem to be a common scenario in practice? e.g distributed .NET grid framework running calculations written in native c++/c?

  • Distributing requests to Selenium Grid RC's?

    - by intervigil
    I've got a situation here where I have a central selenium grid hub, and several RC's running on my gogrid account. When I access it to run tests, it basically queues all the incoming test requests and executes them serially on only one of the RC's, instead of spreading them out to use available RC's. The tests come from multiple projects, so I'm not looking to parallelize the tests themselves, just to split the requests that come from multiple projects across the multiple RC's. From everything I've read, it seems like selenium grid should be doing this already, yet I only see one RC used to run every single test. Is there something I'm missing?

  • How to tell Size of a Grid Cell?

    - by beaudetious
    I have a custom control that I've placed inside a cell of a grid. I have some internal calculations I need to run based on the height and width of the custom control. However, I want it to resize based on the size of the cell. So, my main question is... how to I programatically determine the height and width of a given cell?

  • web grid server pagination trigger multiple controller call when changing page

    - by Thomas Scattolin
    When I server-filter on "au" my web grid and change page, multiple call to the controller are done : the first with 0 filtering, the second with "a" filtering, the third with "au" filtering. My table load huge data so the first call is longer than others. I see the grid displaying firstly the third call result, then the second, and finally the first call (this order correspond to the response time of my controller due to filter parameter) Why are all that controller call made ? Can't just my controller be called once with my total filter "au" ? What should I do ? Here is my grid : $("#" + gridId).kendoGrid({ selectable: "row", pageable: true, filterable:true, scrollable : true, //scrollable: { // virtual: true //false // Bug : Génère un affichage multiple... //}, navigatable: true, groupable: true, sortable: { mode: "multiple", // enables multi-column sorting allowUnsort: true }, dataSource: { type: "json", serverPaging: true, serverSorting: true, serverFiltering: true, serverGrouping:false, // Ne fonctionne pas... pageSize: '@ViewBag.Pagination', transport: { read: { url: Procvalue + "/LOV", type: "POST", dataType: "json", contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8" }, parameterMap: function (options, type) { // Mise à jour du format d'envoi des paramètres // pour qu'ils puissent être correctement interprétés côté serveur. // Construction du paramètre sort : if (options.sort != null) { var sort = options.sort; var sort2 = ""; for (i = 0; i < sort.length; i++) { sort2 = sort2 + sort[i].field + '-' + sort[i].dir + '~'; } options.sort = sort2; } if (options.group != null) { var group = options.group; var group2 = ""; for (i = 0; i < group.length; i++) { group2 = group2 + group[i].field + '-' + group[i].dir + '~'; } options.group = group2; } if (options.filter != null) { var filter = options.filter.filters; var filter2 = ""; for (i = 0; i < filter.length; i++) { // Vérification si type colonne == string. // Parcours des colonnes pour trouver celle qui a le même nom de champ. var type = ""; for (j = 0 ; j < colonnes.length ; j++) { if (colonnes[j].champ == filter[i].field) { type = colonnes[j].type; break; } } if (filter2.length == 0) { if (type == "string") { // Avec '' autour de la valeur. filter2 = filter2 + filter[i].field + '~' + filter[i].operator + "~'" + filter[i].value + "'"; } else { // Sans '' autour de la valeur. filter2 = filter2 + filter[i].field + '~' + filter[i].operator + "~" + filter[i].value; } } else { if (type == "string") { // Avec '' autour de la valeur. filter2 = filter2 + '~' + options.filter.logic + '~' + filter[i].field + '~' + filter[i].operator + "~'" + filter[i].value + "'"; }else{ filter2 = filter2 + '~' + options.filter.logic + '~' + filter[i].field + '~' + filter[i].operator + "~" + filter[i].value; } } } options.filter = filter2; } var json = JSON.stringify(options); return json; } }, schema: { data: function (data) { return eval(data.data.Data); }, total: function (data) { return eval(data.data.Total); } }, filter: { logic: "or", filters:filtre(valeur) } }, columns: getColonnes(colonnes) }); Here is my controller : [HttpPost] public ActionResult LOV([DataSourceRequest] DataSourceRequest request) { return Json(CProduitsManager.GetProduits().ToDataSourceResult(request)); }

  • Algorithm for dragging objects on a fixed grid

    - by FlyingStreudel
    Hello, I am working on a program for the mapping and playing of the popular tabletop game D&D :D Right now I am working on getting the basic functionality like dragging UI elements around, snapping to the grid and checking for collisions. Right now every object when released from the mouse immediately snaps to the nearest grid point. This causes an issue when something like a player object snaps to a grid point that has a wall -or other- adjacent. So essentially when the player is dropped they wind up with some of the wall covering them. This is fine and working as intended, however the problem is that now my collision detection is tripped whenever you try to move this player because its sitting underneath a wall and because of this you cant drag the player anymore. Here is the relevant code: void UIObj_MouseMove(object sender, MouseEventArgs e) { blocked = false; if (dragging) { foreach (UIElement o in ((Floor)Parent).Children) { if (o.GetType() != GetType() && o.GetType().BaseType == typeof(UIObj) && Math.Sqrt(Math.Pow(((UIObj)o).cX - cX, 2) + Math.Pow(((UIObj)o).cY - cY, 2)) < Math.Max(r.Height + ((UIObj)o).r.Height, r.Width + ((UIObj)o).r.Width)) { double Y = e.GetPosition((Floor)Parent).Y; double X = e.GetPosition((Floor)Parent).X; Geometry newRect = new RectangleGeometry(new Rect(Margin.Left + (X - prevX), Margin.Top + (Y - prevY), Margin.Right + (X - prevX), Margin.Bottom + (Y - prevY))); GeometryHitTestParameters ghtp = new GeometryHitTestParameters(newRect); VisualTreeHelper.HitTest(o, null, new HitTestResultCallback(MyHitTestResultCallback), ghtp); } } if (!blocked) { Margin = new Thickness(Margin.Left + (e.GetPosition((Floor)Parent).X - prevX), Margin.Top + (e.GetPosition((Floor)Parent).Y - prevY), Margin.Right + (e.GetPosition((Floor)Parent).X - prevX), Margin.Bottom + (e.GetPosition((Floor)Parent).Y - prevY)); InvalidateVisual(); } prevX = e.GetPosition((Floor)Parent).X; prevY = e.GetPosition((Floor)Parent).Y; cX = Margin.Left + r.Width / 2; cY = Margin.Top + r.Height / 2; } } internal virtual void SnapToGrid() { double xPos = Margin.Left; double yPos = Margin.Top; double xMarg = xPos % ((Floor)Parent).cellDim; double yMarg = yPos % ((Floor)Parent).cellDim; if (xMarg < ((Floor)Parent).cellDim / 2) { if (yMarg < ((Floor)Parent).cellDim / 2) { Margin = new Thickness(xPos - xMarg, yPos - yMarg, xPos - xMarg + r.Width, yPos - yMarg + r.Height); } else { Margin = new Thickness(xPos - xMarg, yPos - yMarg + ((Floor)Parent).cellDim, xPos - xMarg + r.Width, yPos - yMarg + ((Floor)Parent).cellDim + r.Height); } } else { if (yMarg < ((Floor)Parent).cellDim / 2) { Margin = new Thickness(xPos - xMarg + ((Floor)Parent).cellDim, yPos - yMarg, xPos - xMarg + ((Floor)Parent).cellDim + r.Width, yPos - yMarg + r.Height); } else { Margin = new Thickness(xPos - xMarg + ((Floor)Parent).cellDim, yPos - yMarg + ((Floor)Parent).cellDim, xPos - xMarg + ((Floor)Parent).cellDim + r.Width, yPos - yMarg + ((Floor)Parent).cellDim + r.Height); } } } Essentially I am looking for a simple way to modify the existing code to allow the movement of a UI element that has another one sitting on top of it. Thanks!

  • Version Control without CVS

    - by Lo Wai Lun
    My partners and I have been building an application that requires users to authenticate with password and user ID for member registration and transaction. Very often, tasks for designing UI, Datagrid view event trigger and data access using SQL are allocated to different person. Sometimes, there are different versions to be updated but the database structure used are different If everybody finishes their own part and submit the project on their own onto the shared cloud rivers, there must be a huge cost for software maintenance and re-engineering. How should the task to be submitted so as to minimize the cost for re-engineering without the software like winCVS and Tortoise HG?

  • Tweaking Remote Control (In-Kernel LIRC)

    - by Geoff
    I've recently rebuilt my MythTV box using Mythbuntu 12.04, to take advantage of newer hardware (Ivy Bridge). On my previous build I used lirc to manage the remote, i.e. the mapping of key codes - keypresses - application keys; it was quite a journey to learn it all, and I ended up fairly comfortable with how it all worked. What I have: I have a cheap Chinavasion remote and USB dongle, which I've found several articles on; these largely revolve around working with XBMC (interesting, but I don't think directly applicable) and also around getting a Harmony remote to work (it's a Chinavasion CVSB-983 - very useful, since I needed this to get my Harmony 900 working). Mythbuntu 12.04 64-bit MythTV 0.25 (likely irrelevant) How it is right now When I plug this in, it 'just works'. Which is great, except that Ubuntu uses it natively, and prevents some of the button presses from getting through to Myth. For example, I can send a button from the remote that equates to Ctrl-Alt-A (which I assume Ubuntu isn't interested in), and then trap that in Mythfrontend, but the remote's Play button is caught by Ubuntu (which displays a large circle with a line though it, as there's no media player loaded). I understand that this is because lirc is merged into the kernel now, and I like that. What I've done so far: Found the device using lsusb: $ lsusb Bus 001 Device 004: ID 073a:2230 Chaplet Systems, Inc. infrared dongle for remote Found the event device number: $ cat /proc/bus/input/devices I: Bus=0003 Vendor=073a Product=2230 Version=0110 N: Name="HID 073a:2230" P: Phys=usb-0000:00:1a.0-1.2/input0 S: Sysfs=/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1a.0/usb1/1-1/1-1.2/1-1.2:1.0/input/input5 U: Uniq= H: Handlers=sysrq kbd mouse1 event5 js0 B: PROP=0 B: EV=10001f B: KEY=4c37fff072ff32d bf54445600000000 ffffffffff 30c100b17c007 ffa67bfad951dfff febeffdfffefffff fffffffffffffffe B: REL=343 B: ABS=100030000 B: MSC=10 Tested the input with evtest (I pressed Play): $ sudo evtest /dev/input/event5 Input driver version is 1.0.1 Input device ID: bus 0x3 vendor 0x73a product 0x2230 version 0x110 Input device name: "HID 073a:2230" Supported events: Event type 0 (EV_SYN) Event type 1 (EV_KEY) Event code 1 (KEY_ESC) Event code 2 (KEY_1) Event code 3 (KEY_2) Event code 4 (KEY_3) Event code 5 (KEY_4) Event code 6 (KEY_5) Event code 7 (KEY_6) <------------snipped lots of 'Event code' lines------------> Testing ... I'd like to either remap each button press to something that Ubuntu/Unity will ignore, or even better pass the keypress directly to Myth (I suspect this later is only possible with lirc, but I could be wrong). I would really like to do this with the in-kernel drivers, i.e. without explicitly loading lirc; if that's the way the world is going, I'd rather find a way to map the current behaviour to what I want, rather than forcing the 'old' arrangement of loading lirc outside the kernel. Learning something new is also worthwhile! My guess: I'm assuming that this will require using setkeycodes, but have had trouble finding enough information to configure this. Any help greatly appreciated!

  • Business case for decentralized version control systems

    - by Keyo
    I searched and couldn't find any business reasons why git/mercurial/bazzr systems are better than centralized systems (subversion, perforce). If you were trying to sell a DVCS to a non-technical person what arguments would you provide for the DVCS increasing profit. I will shortly be pitching git to my manager, it will take some time converting out subversion repositories and some expense in buying smartgit licences.

  • Volume control keyboard shortcuts not working in 14.04?

    - by user295481
    I run Ubuntu 14.04 on a Sony Vaio CS series laptop. Normally, the volume is controlled by pressing Funcion+F2, F3, and F4 for mute, volume down, and volume up respectively. I accidentally reassigned the volume up keyboard shortcut to a different key. I tried resetting the keyboard shortcut by going into the keyboard shortcuts editor in Ubuntu and pressing Function+F4, but that didn't work. My mute function and my volume down functions both work flawlessly, but volume up doesn't work at all. Please don't answer telling me to change the keyboard shortcut in the Keyboard Shortcuts manager, as I have already tried that. Thanks for your help!

  • Algorithm for optimal control on space ship using accelerometer input data

    - by mm24
    Does someone have a good algorithm for controlling a space ship in a vertical shooter game using acceleration data? I have done a simple algorithm, but works very badly. I save an initial acceleration value (used to calibrate the movement according to the user's initial position) and I do subtract it from the current acceleration so I get a "calibrated" value. The problem is that basing the movement solely on relative acceleration has an effect of loss of sensitivity: certain movements are independent from the initial position. Would anyone be able to share a a better solution? I am wondering if I should use/integrate also inputs from gyroscope hardware. Here is my sample of code for a Cocos2d iOS game: - (void) accelerometer:(UIAccelerometer *)accelerometer didAccelerate:(UIAcceleration *)acceleration { if (calibrationLayer.visible){ [self evaluateCalibration:acceleration]; initialAccelleration=acceleration; return; } if([self evaluatePause]){ return; } ShooterScene * shooterScene = (ShooterScene *) [self parent]; ShipEntity *playerSprite = [shooterScene playerShip]; float accellerationtSensitivity = 0.5f; UIAccelerationValue xAccelleration = acceleration.x - initialAccelleration.x; UIAccelerationValue yAccelleration = acceleration.y - initialAccelleration.y; if(xAccelleration > 0.05 || xAccelleration < -0.05) { [playerSprite setPosition:CGPointMake(playerSprite.position.x + xAccelleration * 80, playerSprite.position.y + yAccelleration * 80)]; } else if(yAccelleration > 0.05 || yAccelleration < -0.05) { [playerSprite setPosition:CGPointMake(playerSprite.position.x + xAccelleration * 80, playerSprite.position.y + yAccelleration * 80)]; } }

  • How do I change the volume control icon?

    - by Richard Oren Pincook
    I recently switched to gnome 3 (love it!), but the default icon theme was a little dreary and gray, so I switched that back to ubuntu-mono-dark. But now whenever I change my volume, I get this ugly pixelated icon show up. The forum says I don't have enough reputation to post an screenshot, but it's pixelated and ugly with these fuzzy straight blue lines that turn on as the volume goes up. I found identical images in the Humanity and Humanity-Dark icon themes (one example: /usr/share/icons/Humanity/status/24/audio-volume-high.png). I tinkered with the images by changing their names, temporarily deleting them, etc. But it had no effect on the ugly icon. What file is responsible for violating the beauty of my desktop?! Once I find it, I can replace it.

  • Headaches using distributed version control for traditional teams?

    - by J Cooper
    Though I use and like DVCS for my personal projects, and can totally see how it makes managing contributions to your project from others easier (e.g. your typical Github scenario), it seems like for a "traditional" team there could be some problems over the centralized approach employed by solutions like TFS, Perforce, etc. (By "traditional" I mean a team of developers in an office working on one project that no one person "owns", with potentially everyone touching the same code.) A couple of these problems I've foreseen on my own, but please chime in with other considerations. In a traditional system, when you try to check your change in to the server, if someone else has previously checked in a conflicting change then you are forced to merge before you can check yours in. In the DVCS model, each developer checks in their changes locally and at some point pushes to some other repo. That repo then has a branch of that file that 2 people changed. It seems that now someone must be put in charge of dealing with that situation. A designated person on the team might not have sufficient knowledge of the entire codebase to be able to handle merging all conflicts. So now an extra step has been added where someone has to approach one of those developers, tell him to pull and do the merge and then push again (or you have to build an infrastructure that automates that task). Furthermore, since DVCS tends to make working locally so convenient, it is probable that developers could accumulate a few changes in their local repos before pushing, making such conflicts more common and more complicated. Obviously if everyone on the team only works on different areas of the code, this isn't an issue. But I'm curious about the case where everyone is working on the same code. It seems like the centralized model forces conflicts to be dealt with quickly and frequently, minimizing the need to do large, painful merges or have anyone "police" the main repo. So for those of you who do use a DVCS with your team in your office, how do you handle such cases? Do you find your daily (or more likely, weekly) workflow affected negatively? Are there any other considerations I should be aware of before recommending a DVCS at my workplace?

  • Lost volume control OSD for Ubuntu

    - by Vultan
    I've been happily chugging along with Ubuntu 14.04 (love it), and something I must have done removed the on screen notification when I change the volume via keyboard buttons. When I change the volume via the keyboard, it works, I can hear the alert telling me I've done it, and the small volume indicator in the panel does show the change, but I used to see a pop up rounded rectangle in the top right of the screen that showed me clearer feedback when I changed volume via the keyboard. It's now gone. Can anyone offer any help in bringing it back?
