  I am overloading the operator equals (==) as show bellow: #include <string> #include <algorithm> bool operator == (std::string str1, std::string str2) { std::transform(str1.begin(), str1.end(), str1.begin(), ::tolower); std::transform(str2.begin(), str2.end(), str2.begin(), ::tolower); return (str1 == str2); } but, the problem appear on line return (str1 == str2), because operator == is called recursively.   What is the best approach to display the summery of DETAILED.Fields in its master table? E.g. I have a master table called 'BILL' with all the bill related data and a detailed table ('BILL_DETAIL') with the bill detailed related data, like NAME, PRICE, TAX, ... Now I want to list all BILLS, without the details, but with the sum of the PRICE and TAX stored in the detail table. Here is a simplified schema of that tables: TABLE BILL ---------- - ID - NAME - ADDRESS - ... TABLE BILL_DETAIL ----------------- - ID - BILLID - PORDUCT_NAME - PRICE - TAX - ...   Hello, I want to develop some kind of reports in Asp.net with x-axis and y-axis being dynamics, allowing grouping by row and column, for example: have products in y-axis and date in x-axis having in body number of sells of a given product in a given date, if date in x-axis are years, i want subtotals for each month for a product (row) and subtotals of sells of all products in date (column) I know there are products available to build reports, but i am using Mysql, so Reporting Service is not an option. It's not necessary for the client build additional reports, i think the simplest solution is having a control to display such information and not using crystal report (which is not free) or something more complex, i want to know if is there an available free control to reach my goal. Well, does anybody know a control or have a different idea, thanks in advance.

  Hi to all, in this question i asked how to split text by whitespace, now i split it, but now i can't display this text in QTextEdit. I make so: QStringList list = line.split(QRegExp("\\s+")); for (int i = 0; i < list.count(); i++){ table.push_back(list[i]); this->ui->textEdit->setText(table[i]); //output text in qtextedit } But i see clean textedit after that. But if i make for example: this->ui->textEdit->setText(table[2]); I see third word in QTextEdit. What's wrong? Thank you.

How do I call the start() method of Car class using the same object so that the output can be Car Started!!!. Edit: Actually It was asked in an interview I attended. I gave the super keyword answer. But the interviewer denied it. He said he'd give me a hint and said Virtual Function. I have no idea how to use that hint.

  Hi, I am trying to call a simple method in my code behind using Jquery with Ajax. But I get a 404 not found exception everytime. Unfortunately this is a web forms solution. So I dont have all the perks of MVC :( It does get into the javascript method and gives the alert but won't go into my c# method.   I need a generalized method to get list of runtime parameters (values) when I call a procedure. I need something similar to the $$PLSQL_UNIT that returns the name of the running procedure.   In order to select data from part of an application that isn't affected by dirty data, I create a TransactionScope that specifies a ReadUncommitted IsolationLevel as per the suggestion from Hanselman here. My question is, do I still need to execute the oTS.Complete() call at the end of the using block even if this transaction scope was not built for the purpose of bridging object dependencies across 2 databases during an Insert, Update, or Delete?   Hello. I'm fixing some bugs in the application for remote control (remote desktop-like) for Windows. And there is a feature that you can blank screen on remote machine - all the programms keep running unaffected, but the person who looks into the display on remote PC sees nothing but black screen. It is implemented by sending IoCtl request IOCTL_VIDEO_SET_OUTPUT_DEVICE_POWER_STATE, which is undocumented. And this request does not work on Vista and above. Are there another ways to do what I want? In fact, SendMessage(-1,WM_SOMMAND,SC_MONITORPOWER,2) does the trick, but screen turns back on if someone toches keyboard/mouse.

  As per my understanding a lock is not released until the runtime completes the code block of the lock(obj) ( because when the block completes it calls Monitor.Exit(obj).   Hi All. I recently coded and launched a website that displays consistently across Chrome, Firefox, Opera, IE8, IE7, and Safari. According to site visitors, though, the signup forms at the top and bottom of the site are mangled on the iPhone. I do not own an iPhone and I rarely test sites on the iPhone, and I would really hate to purchase it or an iPod Touch for the sake of occasional CSS/display testing. Question: is there a site online or a program I can use (I'm on Windows 7) for iPhone testing? An alternative question might be why the signup forms aren't displaying properly on the iPhone, when they look fine in all other browsers and a few other mobile devices that I've used? Many thanks.

I was wondering on how is the best way to handle the creation of the client classes and subscribing.   So here is my code: public MyClass (int y) { super(y,x,x); //some code } My problem is that in this case i want to generate a 'x' and sent to the super constructor. However the call to the superconstructor must be the first line in this constructor. Of course I could do something like this: int x; { x = generateX(); } But this feels ugly, and then the code will run no matter what constructor I use, which feels not so nice. Right now I am consider encapsulating my whole object in another object that only calculates x and then starts this object. Is this the best approach?

  Hi I have created http://techavid.com/design/test3.html and when you load the page you see there are 3 images. The sun image is focused(in color), while the others are greyed out until clicked. That is how it should be for the images. Also when you load the page you see under each image it's own text(i.e. 1st: Sun, 2nd: Airplane, 3rd: Nano), but on page load I only want 1st:Sun to display and hide all other text until their respective image is clicked. Any idea how to do this? thanks :) J

• Hudson jobs won't call javac?

  Hi, I have just set up Hudson on my server. For some reason, my build will not call javac to compile my builds...? I have set the path to the JDK in the Manage Hudson area, and it seems to recognise it (doesn't give me a warning). Is there something else I'm supposed to do? • How to flush output after each `echo` call?

  Hi all! I've a php script that only produces logs to the client. When I echo something, i wan't it to be transfered to client on-the-fly. (Because while the script is processing, the page is blank) I had already played arround with ob_start() and ob_flush(), but they didn't worked. What's the best solution?
