  I want to pass to an array of controls' IDs to a javascript script function so it will switch control's enable state. For example, in C# it would be like this: func(false, new[] { "Control1", "Control2", "Control3" }); In that function I want to find corresponding controls and disable/enable them. • FLV Player Skin Custom URL

  I have a flash banner ad (AS3) which uses a FLV Player component for a remove video. The Skin exports it's own SWF file for user with the video controls as I'm sure anyone familiar with Flash knows. Is there anyway to specify where this file is remotely? I have to provide 1 file to my advertiser, and do not want to have to create custom video controls for this. Is it possible to upload this swf file to a remote location and tell Flash to pull it from there? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

• ASP: using existing Crystal Report with date parameter

  I have an existing Crystal Report done in Crystal Reports version 9. I need to display it via an ASP website created in Visual Studio 2008. I have put the Crystal data source and viewer controls on the design page and configured the controls to use the crystal report but cannot seem to figure out how to pass a date to the report which uses it as an input parameter for a SQL Server 2005 stored procedure. I have tried putting a calendar control on the design page but don't know how to use it to pass the date parameter. Thanks in advance for any help. Eric

• Qt: How to force a hidden widget to calculate its layout?

  What I am trying to do is render a qwidget onto a different window (manually using a QPainter) I have a QWidget (w) with a layout and a bunch of child controls. w is hidden. Until w is shown, there is no layout calculations happening, which is expected. When I call w->render(painter, w->mapToGlobal(QPoint(0,0)), I get a bunch of controls all overlapping each other. w->layout()->activate();w->layout()->update() doesn't seem to do anything. Is there a way to force the layout to happen without showing w?

• A Form(?) appears briefly outside of Form1 when adding a control to it

  I have a program which creates new Controls (actually - Form's with TopLevel = false) and puts them on a Panel which is on Form1. For some reason, this is usually followed by what seems like a Form appearing very briefly outside of Form1. It's hard to tell exactly what's happening because it's so brief. Perhaps it's Form1 moving there (and changing its size) and then returning. Or perhaps it's the Form that's being put on Form1 that appears there (though how could that happen at all? It's out of Form1!). I couldn't find anything in the code that might cause it, and the whole code is way too long to post here. (The relevant code is simply: MyPanel.Controls.Add(newForm);.) Is there any known bug that might cause this?

  When I iterate of the controls on my form, I see those which I placed there at design time or run time. They are all of type TEdit, Tmemo, TComboBox, etc ... However, there are always exactly eight which I do not recognize. I can skip over them, since they are not of a type which interests me, but I am curios. I am guessing system controls like min/max/close. Their Name property is empty. Is there any way I can determine what type they are (without explicitly testing for every standard component derived from TWinControl) ? I am curious - but not yellow ;-)

• Why can't I set a layout for a page in a QStackedWidget in designer?

  Steps to reproduce in designer for Qt 4.8.0 I create a new dialog form in Qt Designer I add a QStackedWidget to the dialog I set the layout of the dialog to make the stacked layout size with the dialog I add a few controls to page one in the stacked widget I select the first page in the stacked widget in the right hand tree view of controls The icon next to that page (which is a QWidget) shows the page is missing a layout When I click one of the layout buttons above, it doesn't change the layout of the page QWidget, it changes the layout of the dialog even though I had explicitly selected the page. Is this a bug in designer? Am I missing something? I really don't want to add the layouts programatically as that prevents me from being able to layout the pages in designer in the same .ui file

  I tried installing a trial version of SAP NetWeaver 7.1 on Windows Vista on my laptop but I couldn't succeed. Then I tried installing SAP Web Application Server 6.20. • Should Windows Multipoint Server stations on individual video cards support hardware video acceleration?

  I've set up a test machine with multiple PCI-e nVidia GF440 Video cards and installed Windows Multipoint Server 2011. I use the same kind of hardware set up with a BeTwin multiseat solution to create a class lab for Google SketchUp teaching (highly OpenGL dependent) and it works ok. On the Multipoint Windows test machine the drivers seem to be installed OK but I don´t seem to get any hardware video acceleration. Is this a intrinsic limitation of this solution or am I doing something wrong?

• BAD DC transfering FSMO Roles to ADC

  I have a DC (FQDN:server.icmcpk.local) and an ADC (FQDN:file-server.icmcpk.local). Recently my DC is facing a bad sector problem so I changed the Operation Masters to file-server for all five roles. but when ever i turn off the OLD DC the file-server also stops wroking with AD and GPMC further i m also unable to join any other computer to this domain. For Test purpose i also added a new ADC (FQDN:wds-server.icmcpk.local) but no succes with the old DC off i had to turn the old DC on and then joined it. • Cannot exit X server, restart, shutdown or drop to tty when VGA monitor active

  I have a strange problem. If I connect an external VGA monitor to my laptop, exiting the X environment in any way crashes the computer. For example, say I am working with my two monitors (the laptop's and one connected to my VGA port) active. Hitting Ctrl+Alt+F Key should take me down to a tty. What actually happens is that the VGA screen goes blank, as you would expect, but the laptop screen, although still on, shows nothing. I know the screen is on because it is slightly more illuminated than when it is off. When in this state, I can do nothing to regain access to the machine. I have tried: Ctrl+F Key (and even Ctrl+Alt+F Key, just in case) combinations and none seem to have any effect. Ctrl+Alt+Del : Nothing Magic SysRq key: Nothing Blindly typing my username and password and trying to reboot/shutdown or restart GDM or MDM: Nothing The only thing that works is a hard reset. The exact same behavior occurs when kiling the X server through Ctrl+Alt+Backspace, rebooting or shutdown. There is no difference if I reboot/shutdown/log out using the WM's graphical menu or if I use the shutdown or rebootcommands. It is also not WM-dependent. I have the same problem using Cinnamon, Gnome 3, MATE and xfce4. It is, however, VGA dependent. I have tried connecting another VGA monitor and have the same problem. I do not, however, have this problem if a screen is connected to the DisplayPort. It is, therefore, a VGA specific issue. To make things even stranger, this only occurs when both screens are active. If either the laptop screen or the VGA monitor is inactive the problem goes away. Finally, this problem arose when I installed the latest Linux Mint Debian (LMDE). It did not occur with the previous release of LMDE. I am not sure what has changed since I used the same kernel version in both releases (I had upgraded the kernel while on the previous release) and, I think, the same nvidia drivers. Oh, and yes, I have updated the nvidia driver. Hardware: Dell M4500 laptop CPU: Intel Core i7 RAM: 8GB Graphics: nVidia GT216 [Quadro FX 880M] Software: LMDE, kernel 3.2.0-2-amd64 Xorg: 1.11.4 nVidia kernel: 295.20-1+3.2.9-1 Possibly relevant files: /var/log/Xorg.0.log ~/.xsession-errors Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? • Browsing Bombs After a Short While

  After a reboot, my internet connection lasts perhaps a half hour or so before tanking. I can ping (by both IP and hostname), but I cannot browse. If I restart the "Network Store Interface Service", my connection comes back. What could be failing with that service or its dependent services that would kill my ability to browse? For some system info, I'm using a Sony Vaio with a fully-patched Windows Vista install and with an Intel 3945ABG wireless adapter.
