  • is it possible to add a string template to views in a .net mvc project?

    Hi, I have a newbie question,, how do i add a string template to the views folder in a .net mvc project? i have added a reference to StringTemplate.dll and antlr.runtime.dll but seems that is not enough. i.e. when i right-click on views and choose Add New Item i can't find a file with .st extension in the list that i get... how do i achieve that?     I have a large cross-cutting commit that I would like to split up according to the authors whose code was affected, both to increase the reviewers' familiarity with the code they're reviewing, and to divide the review burden equitably. I realize that the blame may be mixed within a given hunk, in which case it would be nice to either collect multiple reviewers or just choose the most "blameworthy" one (breaking ties arbitrarily is fine).

    I'm trying to rename a namespace. For some reason, ReSharper isn't giving me the option to do so. I right click on it and choose Refactor, but everything except "Convert" is greyed out. I try the key combination CTRL R + R, and it says the command is unavailable. What am I doing wrong?     I'm installing sqlserver 2008 express and I have a couple of questions, by default on the collation, it has SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS I'm just wondering which collation I should choose so that it can store all languages, English, Asian etc. also this is a brand new installation on a brand new box, should I use Default Instance or a Named Instance.     I have a sequence of integers representing dice in F#. In the game in question, the player has a pool of dice and can choose to play one (governed by certain rules) and keep the rest. If, for example, a player rolls a 6, 6 and a 4 and decides to play one the sixes, is there a simple way to return a sequence with only one 6 removed? Seq.filter (fun x -> x != 6) dice removes all of the sixes, not just one.

    I was reading that JavaDoc for Threadlocal here http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/java/lang/ThreadLocal.html and it says "ThreadLocal instances are typically private static fields in classes that wish to associate state with a thread (e.g., a user ID or Transaction ID). " But my question is why did they choose to make it static (typically) - it makes it a bit confusing to have "per thread" state but its static?
