    Hello, I am writing a C++ server side application called quote of the day. I am using the winsock2 library. I want to send the contents of a file back to the client, including newlines by using the send function. The way i tried it doesn't work. How would i go about doing this?

  • Single console in eclipse for both Server and Client

    I am building a client server application using Java Sockets (in Windows XP). For that I need different consoles for both Client and Server(for Input and Output operations). But in eclipse both share a single console. Is there any plugin or some sort of cheat through which I can do this. After googling I got this, http://dev.eclipse.org/newslists/news.eclipse.newcomer/msg17138.html But, this seems to be only for write operations, not read operations. I have set [ValidateInput(false)] and it works when debugging it locally, but I receive the following error when I have published the site: A potentially dangerous Request.Form value was detected from the client (message="<p> <em>Testing</e..."). can anyone explain why the published site is different from the locally site, especially when I have set [ValidateInput(false)]?

  • Running Java CORBA Client on Unix

    I'm trying to run a Java application I wrote to subscribe to a CORBA event service. It runs OK on my Windows machine, but as soon as I deploy it to the UNIX server, it gives me an org.omg.CORBA.NO_IMPLEMENT exception. Any ideas as to why this might be happening? I'm using JacORB on my Windows machine and passing VM arguments to initialize the client ORB, but I'm not sure how to do that on UNIX and if it's even necessary. Thanks in advance!
