• UIScrollView image/photo viewer with paging enabled and zooming

  OK, I think it's time to make an official place on the internet for this problem: How to make a UIScrollView photoviewer with paging and zooming. Welcome my fellow UIScrollView hackers. I have a UIScrollView with paging enabled, and I'm displaying UIImageViews like the built-in photos app. (Does this sound familiar yet?) I found the following project on github: http://wiki.github.com/andreyvit/ScrollingMadness Which shows how to implement zooming in a scroll view while paging is enabled. If anyone else tries this out, I actually had to remove the UIScrollView subclass and use the native class otherwise it doesn't work. I think it's because of changes in the 3.0 SDK relating to how the scroll view intercepts touch events. So the the idea is to remove all the other views when you start zooming, and move the current view to (0, 0) in the scrollview, updating the contentsize etc. Then when you zoom back to 1.0f it adds the other views back and puts things all back in order. Anyway, that project works perfectly in the simulator, but on the device there is some nasty movement of the view you are resizing, which looks like it's caused by the fact we are changing the contentsize/offset etc. for the view being resized. You have to do this view moving otherwise you can pan left through the whitespace left by the other views. I found one interesting note in the "Known Issues" of the 3.0 SDK release notes: UIScrollView: After zooming, content inset is ignored and content is left in the wrong position. This kind of sounds like what is happening here. After zooming in, the view will shift offscreen because you have changed the offset etc. I've spent hours on this already and I'm slowing coming to the sad realization that this just isn't going to work. Three20's photo viewer is out of the question: it's too heavy weight and there is too much unnecessary UI and other behaviour. The built in Photo app seems to do some magic. If you zoom in on an image and pan to the far edges, the current photo moves independently of the photo next to it which isn't what you get when trying this with a standard UIScrollView. I've seen discussion about nesting the UIScrollView's but I really don't want to go there. Has anybody managed this with the standard UIScrollView (and works in the 2.2 and 3.0 SDK)? I don't fancy rolling my own zoom + bounce + pan + paging code.

• WPF XAML: how to get StackPanel's children to fill maximum space downward?

  I simply want flowing text on the left, and a help box on the right. The help box should extend all the way to the bottom. If you take out the outer StackPanel below it works great. But for reasons of layout (I'm inserting UserControls dynamically) I need to have the wrapping StackPanel. • iPhone MFMailComposeViewController's "cancel" button displays Action Sheet w/ incorrect orientation.

  I've been trying to add in-app email functionality and have been somewhat successful. The MailCompose view is displayed properly. But when "Cancel" is pressed the Action Sheet with "Delete", "Save as Draft" and "Cancel" animates in from the left as if the view controller is set to portrait mode*, yet the width (or height depending on how you look at it) is that of an action sheet in landscape mode as seen in the following image: http://dansandland.com/storage/screen-shot-2.png *The view controller is set to Landscape Left, both in the plist file and the shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation method of all view controllers.   Hi, I am envisioning a site layout like this- top navigation menu linking to maybe 4 or 5 indexes of different controllers. each of these sections will be working with different model objects. Left navigation menu is specific to a controller. so, for each of the top menu buttons (corresponding to different controllers) I would like the left navigation menu to offer options only specific to the currently used controler. When a delegate is set, auto complete just stops working. • Button layed out using layout_toLeftOf in a RelativeLayout does not show up

  Hello all, I am trying to layout a Button to the left of a TextView that is centered on the screen. I get the following result: As you see, the button doesn't show up. It works if I use layout_toRightOf, then the button appears to the right of the TextView, just as expected. Any ideas what I am doing wrong here?

• UIViewAnimationTransition and landscape

  Hi! I'm having a problem with UIViewAnimationTransitionCurlUp and landscape mode. In my landscape application I have a view controller that manages two fullscreen views. In the controller I have a container view for the transitions. To switch between the two views, I use a curled transition but the animation is performed as if it were in portrait mode. I have setted the UIDeviceOrientation in info.plist, also the supported orientations to both landscape right and left. The controller returns true in shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation only for landscape right and left. I have also tried to start the controller and views with 480 width and 320 height manually. I dont know where is the problema and dont know what else to try. Could someone help me? Thank you!

• Floating DIV's alignment problem.

  I have a fluid layout with DIV's of different heights and widths, and I'd like them to be aligned by lines, kind of like when you do a search on istockphoto, except aligned to the top: image here--http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb121/jpbanks/Capturadepantalla2010-06-02alas1902.png I tried floating all the DIV's to the left, but they are not aligned correctly into lines: image here--http://i207.photobucket.com/albums/bb121/jpbanks/Capturadepantalla2010-06-02alas1900.png See how "Prueba" doesn't go all the way to the left? I thought of the jQuery plugin Masonry but what I want is obviously different. Any solution using either CSS or jQuery would be fine. Any ideas?

• Horizontal Scrolling Flash Game/Large Horizontal Scene

  Hello, I'm currently learning Flash (CS4, AS3) and am creating a game. I have currently 1 flv file with 4 scenes, I then move from left to right and then to scene 2 and go from left to right. This is the game where items pop up that need to be clicked on and you get points. Is there any way I can combine these onto 1 scene? Flash only allows you to have a maximum of 2880px wide. The reason for this is the transition between the scenes is RUBBISH and that my AS is not working correctly in between scenes (it loses values). Any help would be greatly appreciated! Nathan

• didSelectRowAtIndexPath TableView Popover Issue

  I've tried a lot of different code examples including just brute force try this try that but, stumped. The popover left arrow seems to display just fine if the first row is displayed at the very top of the table view but, when the table scrolls down the popover left arrow doesn't align correctly with the table row selected. Solutions or suggestions would be most appreciated. • Should this immutable struct be a mutable class?

• WinRT GridView scrolling setup work differently on mouse/kb and touch

  I'm trying to mimic the functionality of the NetFlix app, with a strip on the left that collapses on scrolling, I had to offset the tiles on the GridView a bit to the right so that they can accomodate that behavior. They seem to work alright in keyboard and scroll completely to the right (although I noticed the scrollbar suddenly grows in size when I hit the left boundaries. this totally changes when I use it on touch - I seem to have a limit on the right and the scrolling doesnt scroll past the last 100 pixels or so. how do I take care of this. I'm assuming it is related to the bug here, but didn't seem to solve the problem with that solution there. "Sticky scrolling" issue in WinRT XAML GridView control

• Drupal Views Duplicate values being returned when using a relationship

  I am having a problem with views. I have a view and am passing it a taxonomy term by name to it. I then have a relationship to a related node. For my output fields I am returning the related Title and related Body. I however have duplicates in my results. I have turned distinct to yes but believe this is working on the nodes being return and not the related node. Any ideas how I can remove the duplicates? Update Below is the query being run when I only get the title SELECT DISTINCT(node.nid) AS nid, node_node_data_field_wine_company.title AS node_node_data_field_wine_company_title, node_node_data_field_wine_company.nid AS node_node_data_field_wine_company_nid FROM node node LEFT JOIN content_type_wine node_data_field_wine_company ON node.vid = node_data_field_wine_company.vid INNER JOIN node node_node_data_field_wine_company ON node_data_field_wine_company.field_wine_company_nid = node_node_data_field_wine_company.nid LEFT JOIN term_node term_node ON node.vid = term_node.vid INNER JOIN term_data term_data ON term_node.tid = term_data.tid WHERE term_data.name = 'test' GROUP BY nid It looks like I should be grouping by node_node_data_field_wine_company_nid or selecting distinct values from there. • TTPhotoViewController: Images not loading until swipe

  Hi, I am trying to implement TTPhotoViewController in a sample iPad application. I have implemented properly TTPhotoSource and TTPhoto protocols. The TTPhotoViewController does show image, but not until swiped. The right and left button in the tab bar below doesnt seem to work at all, they never change the image displayed. The UIActivityIndicatorView is never put up, nor the right and left buttons are validated when last or first images are reached. I am initializing the subclass of TTPhotoViewController as a rootViewController of a UINavigationController object which I am adding it onto a view. This rules out the possibility of the problem faced here: http://three20.stackexchange.com/questions/78/ttphotoviewcontroller-not-loading-images-immediately What else am I missing? • CSS div/overflow Question: Why does the first HTML file work but not the second?

  Notice how the first HTML/CSS works when you re-size the browser horizontally. It will shrink no further than around 800 pixels, but it will expand as far as you drag the right edge of the browser. It will also correctly overflow the table at the top and scroll it horizontally. The thing I don't like about the first code snippet is where the scrollbar is. I want it to show up within the borders of the fieldset, so even if I narrow the browser down to 800 pixels wide, I can see both the left and right sides of the fieldset's border. The second code snippet is exactly the same as the first except I add another div tag to the mix, inside of the field set and around the grid. Notice how the top fieldset's width won't correctly shrink when you make the viewport of your browser narrower. Any ideas on why it doesn't work, what I can do to get it to work like the first code snippet? I don't think I'm describing this clearly, but if you run the two side by side, and expand and contract the horizontal edge of your browser windows, you'll see the differences between the two. I'm pretty new to CSS and HTML layout, so my understanding of why CSS handles sizing the way it does in some situations is still really confusing to me. • Variable in one query is getting into another query in view

  I have two foreach statements. The variable from one one is somehow getting into another and i'm not sure how to fix it. The businesses are pulled from the database using the categoryPageList($id) function. Instead, it's showing the row ID of the category table. so, if i'm viewing /site/categories/6 <?=$crow->id?> will show 6 when it should be showing 10 (the row ID of the only business in that category at this time. How can I fix this?
