  I Do not know any JQuery and have to create a Tab with JQuery or JavaScript which works well with Multiview. And note that I have this kinds of tabs in more than 40 pages so I'm looking for a solution which works for all of them. This is my current Scenario I have a Multiview and some Buttons above Multiview. Each Multiview contains a module (.ascx control) whenever User clicks on a button MultiView ActiveIndex Change to specific index. Each Module (tab content) has some Ajax functionality and I want to change tab items with JQuery in order to prevent post backing page. Please give complete code, cause I don't know any Jquery. • Dynamically loading JavaScript synchronously

  I'm using the module pattern, one of the things I want to do is dynamically include an external JavaScript file, execute the file, and then use the functions/variables in the file in the return { } of my module. I can't figure out how to do this easily. • In Node.JS, how do I return an entire object from a separate .js file?

  Thanks for looking. I am new to Node.js and trying to figure out how to request an object from a separate file (rather than just requesting a function) but everything I try--exports,module-exports,etc--is failing. So, for example, if I have foo.js: var methods = { Foobar:{ getFoo: function(){return "foo!!";}, getBar: function(){return "bar!!";} } }; And now I want to call a function within an object of foo.js from index.js: var m = require('./Methods'); function fooMain(){ return m.Foobar.getFoo(); }; How do I do this? I have tried all sorts of combinations of exports and module-exports but they seem to only work if I call a discrete function that is not part of an object. Thanks!

• Symfony 1.4 filter on index page

  I'm trying to apply a filter to the index page of my module, the code works as I've tested it on another page called filter within the same module. The problem I'm having is that on submitting the filter on the index page (form action points to index) Symfony instead decides to route to the create action for some reason. Although the create method isn't visible in the URL a new form is instantiated on the index page which leads me to suspect it is routing to the create action: http://locahost.com/frontend_dev.php/mymodule Any ideas how I can get a filter to work on the index page?

• How to play audio podcast file from libsyn rss feed? (drupal)

  Got an established libsyn rss feed, got a new drupal website for the podcast. Libsyn provides a player but not correct aesthetic. I can upload and play mp3 files with audio module and mp3player module, and like the mp3 player's output, a simple flash player, but I don't want to be manually moving the podcast audio files (mp3) over every week. Looked at importing automatically with Feeds, but it's not working and besides that's creating extra files unnecessarily on the drupal site. Just want to use the mp3player modulee's flash player in a drupal page, which feeds the latest mp3 file from a libsyn rss feed. Don't really need to store or play multiple episodes, just the latest episode. How would you do it?

• Communicate multiple times with a process without breaking the pipe?

  Hello, it's not the first time I'm having this problem and its really bugging me. Whenever I open a pipe using the Python subprocess module, I can only communicate with it once, as the documentation specifies: Read data from stdout and stderr, until end-of-file is reached proc = sub.Popen("psql -h darwin -d main_db".split(),stdin=sub.PIPE,stdout=sub.PIPE) print proc.communicate("select a,b,result from experiment_1412;\n")[0] print proc.communicate("select theta,zeta,result from experiment_2099\n")[0] The problem here is that the second time, Python isn't happy. • PHP: xml_parse replaces entities and "?" character

  How can I describe something I can't quite put my finger on? I have a module for RSS reading "magpierss" it uses xml_parse() and after extensive troubleshooting all I can come up with is that it removes certain entities like "?" character. I haven't written this module myself but I have traced the code until the part uses xml_parse() and then the output is just replaced. And to my disappointment this behavior exists on our production server only and not the local server. I have compared both php.ini file to search for any differences but couldn't find anything. Could anyone please direct on where to search exactly, i don't even know which direction to start from. Thanks

• ASP.NET request extension type

  Hello, I am working on a large web application which I have recently shelved tons of .aspx pages from the project. To avoid page not found error, I added these entities in the xml which came around 300+ in count. I wrote a http module that checks the request url in the xml entities and if they are found, my module is going to redirect the request to respective new pages. Everything works great, but my collection is getting iterated for all the requests, I mean for each and every .jpg, .css, .js, .ico, .pdf etc. Is there any object or property in .net that can tell the type of request that user requested for like HttpContext.request.type. So that I can avoid checking the request for all unwanted file types.

• Getting a PasteScript error when I try to serve an existing Pylons app.

  I'm trying to serve an existing Python 2.5 Pylons application on OS X Snow Leopard. I've already installed Python 2.5 and set it as the default Python installation, installed paster, and installed the version of Pylons the app needs (0.9.6.1) as well as other eggs... but when I cd to the main folder and do "paster serve development.ini" I get the following: File "/usr/local/bin/paster", line 5, in <module> from pkg_resources import load_entry_point File "/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.5/Extras/lib/python/pkg_resources.py", line 2603, in <module> File "/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.5/Extras/lib/python/pkg_resources.py", line 666, in require File "/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.5/Extras/lib/python/pkg_resources.py", line 565, in resolve pkg_resources.DistributionNotFound: PasteScript==1.7.3 I definitely have done "easy_install PasteScript==1.7.3" and I still get this error. • Any way to set or overwrite the __line__ and __file__ metadata?

  I'm writing some code that needs to change function signatures. Right now, I'm using Simionato's FunctionMaker class, which uses the (hacky) inspect module, and does a compile. Unfortunately, this still loses the line and file metadata. Does anyone know: If it is possible to overwrite these values in some odd way? If hacking up a class with a complex getattribute() to intercept the values and also try to make the class looks like a function is any more possible than a moose with a flying nun hat? Is there an alternative to the (hacky) inspect module? PEP 362 is dead dead dead? I know decorators and cPickle users fight with this. What other situations is the read only metadata in people's way? I appreciate any insights. Thank you.

  I am a little confused with the routes in Rails 3 as I am just starting to learn the language. • Is there a cap on the number of modules WinDbg can see?

  Does anyone know if there is a cap on the number of DLLs WinDbg can see ? I believe Visual Studio was once capped at 500 but I can't find a source for this claim outside of some second hand accounts at work. I'm trying to debug a hairy scenario and WinDbg's stack trace is incomplete. According to Process Explorer, the module I'm interested in is loaded but it doesn't show up in the output of 'lm' in WinDbg. Suspiciously, said output is exactly 500 modules long, even though I know there are many more than that loaded, leading me to believe WinDbg isn't seeing DLLs beyond the first 500. Can anyone confirm ? Or suggest some other reason why a loaded module might not show up in 'lm' ?

  Suppose I am editing a buffer containing C code. I have started semantic with semantic-load-enable-code-helpers . I have point placed on the name of a function . If I then invoke senator-jump I can jump to the place where that fn is first declared, in that module. What if it is an extern? Is it possible to use senator to jump to the definition of the fn, which resides in a separate module? Thanks.

  I have a virtualenv where I've installed two packages, both using the company.project_name namespace. So the first package is importable from company.project_name.one and the second from company.project_name.two. The challenge is that I can't seem to be able to run PyLint on either one of them. If I issue: $ pylint company.project_name.one I get: ************* Module company.project_name.one F: 1, 0: No module named project_name.one(fatal) I suspect that I'm probably doing something wrong. Is there a proper way to do this? Edit: I should have made it clear that company.project_name and company are namespace packages and not regular packages.

  I am aware that there are umpteen similar questions here, and on other forums, but none of them have been able to help me. I simply want to install mySQL on my mac (running snow leopard 10.6.5) for use with Python. So far I have: 1) downloaded and installed [mysql-5.5.8-osx10.6-x86_64.dmg] (I have also accidentally downloaded and installed [mysql-5.1.54-osx10.6-x86_64.dmg]) 2) downloaded and installed [mySQL-python-1.2.3] 3) added the following to my .bash_profile: [export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/mysql/bin] but when i run:import mySQLdb in terminal I am met with the following message: Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> ImportError: No module named mySQLdb Can anyone help?

• Mono 2.10.5 Runtime error on Ubuntu 11.10

  I've install mono-runtime via apt in order to run my Mono console application on Ubuntu via SSH. However, when I run the command mono myapp.exe, It exits, with no message, and my program does nothing. If I throw the -v switch to Mono, such as mono -v myapp.exe, I get about 10k lines of output (as expected, -v is verbose), with the first few lines being: converting method System.OutOfMemoryException:.ctor (string) Method System.OutOfMemoryException:.ctor (string) emitted at 0xb7052c28 to 0xb7052c4b (code length 35) [myapp.exe] converting method (wrapper runtime-invoke) <Module>:runtime_invoke_void__this___object (object,intptr,intptr,intptr) Method (wrapper runtime-invoke) <Module>:runtime_invoke_void__this___object (object,intptr,intptr,intptr) emitted at 0xb7052c68 to 0xb7052cf6 (code length 142) [myapp.exe] converting method System.SystemException:.ctor (string) I read this as the runtime throwing an OutOfMemory exception, but the machine is under no intense load, has plenty of available RAM, and is running nothing other that system processes. I've removed and reinstalled Mono countless times, and have even run the executable on other machines perfectly fine. Am I missing something completely obvious here?

  Hi ! I love doctests, it is the only testing framwork I use, because it is so quick to write, and because used with sphinx it makes such great documentations with almost no effort... However, very often, I end-up doing things like this : """ Descriptions ============= bla bla bla ... >>> test 1 bla bla bla + tests tests tests * 200 lines = poor readability of the actual code """ What I mean is that I put all my tests with documentation explanations on the top of the module, so you have to scroll stupidly to find the actual code, and this is quite ugly (in my opinion). However, I think that the doctests should still stay in the module, because you should be able to read them while reading the source code. So here comes my question : sphinx/doctests lovers, how do you organize your doctests, such as the code readability doesn't suffer ?

• Drupal Navigation Conundrum

  I'm attempting to set up navigation withing a Drupal site and am having a bit of trouble. I'm trying to have a series of pages that each have a set number of sub-pages. These pages will need to link to one another. All pages will contain similar content. For instance: Page 1 will have sub-pages a, b, c, d, e, and f all with content related to the topic of page 1 Page 2 will have sub-pages a, b, c, d, e, and f with content related to the topic of page 2 I'd like these links to appear in a horizontal nav bar on each page. Is it possible to accomplish this using the book module? I've also read some information about the taxonomy menu module that sounds promising, but I'm not really sure how that would work. What route should I look into? Thanks for any input!

  I need to use function "image_path" in my lib class. Am I doing it right? Another question is, how do I find the right class to include? For example if I look at this module: http://api.rubyonrails.org/classes/ActionView/Helpers/AssetTagHelper.html is there a rule of thumb how to include that module in a model / library / class / anything else ?
