  • Sorting the output from XmlSerializer in C#

    - by prosseek
    In this post, I could get an XML file generated based on C# class. Can I reorder the XML elements based on its element? My code uses var ser = new XmlSerializer(typeof(Module)); ser.Serialize(WriteFileStream, report, ns); WriteFileStream.Close(); to get the XML file, but I need to have the XML file sorted based on a BlocksCovered variable. public class ClassInfo { public string ClassName; public int BlocksCovered; public int BlocksNotCovered; public double CoverageRate; public ClassInfo() {} public ClassInfo(string ClassName, int BlocksCovered, int BlocksNotCovered, double CoverageRate) { this.ClassName = ClassName; this.BlocksCovered = BlocksCovered; this.BlocksNotCovered = BlocksNotCovered; this.CoverageRate = CoverageRate; } } [XmlRoot("Module")] public class Module { [XmlElement("Class")] public List<ClassInfo> ClassInfoList; public int BlocksCovered; public int BlocksNotCovered; public string moduleName; public Module() { ClassInfoList = new List<ClassInfo>(); BlocksCovered = 0; BlocksNotCovered = 0; moduleName = ""; } } Module report = new Module(); ... TextWriter WriteFileStream = new StreamWriter(xmlFileName); XmlSerializerNamespaces ns = new XmlSerializerNamespaces(); ns.Add("", ""); var ser = new XmlSerializer(typeof(Module)); ser.Serialize(WriteFileStream, report, ns); WriteFileStream.Close();

  • Troubleshooting multiple GET variables In PHP

    - by V413HAV
    This may be a very simple question but I don't what's the wrong thing am doing here... To explain you clearly, I've set a real simple example below: <ul> <li><a href="test.php?link1=true">Link 1</a></li> <li><a href="test.php?link2=true">Link 2</a></li> <li><a href="test.php?link3=true">Link 3</a></li> </ul> <?php if(isset($_GET['link1'])) { if(($_GET['link1']) == 'true') { echo 'This Is Link 1'; } } if(isset($_GET['link2'])) { if(($_GET['link2']) == 'true') { echo 'This Is Link 2'; } } if(isset($_GET['link3'])) { if(($_GET['link3']) == 'true') { echo 'This Is Link 3'; } } ?> This is a test.php page, here I've set 3 different arguments for $_GET, and show contents accordingly, now everything works perfect, the only thing am not understanding is how to block this kind of url say if user clicks on link 1 the url will be : http://localhost/test.php?link1=true And the Output of this url is This is Link 1 Now if I change this url to : http://localhost/test.php?link3=true&link2=true&link1=true And the Output what I get is This Is Link 1This Is Link 2This Is Link 3 Now this is ok here, but it's very annoying if someone types this and see's forms one below the other, any way I can stop this tampering?

  • How to log php error in a separate file?

    - by Question Overflow
    I just did an upgrade of my server to Fedora 17 and merged some configuration files containing .rpmnew into the existing ones. I have been successfully logging my php errors in a separate log file by keeping the following in php.ini: log_errors = On error_log = /var/log/php-errors.log I am not sure why the errors are being logged to /var/log/httpd/error_log after the upgrade despite keeping the settings above. Also, $ ls -l /var/log/php-errors.log -rwxrwxr--. 1 apache myself 232 Dec 13 16:49 /var/log/php-errors.log shows that apache did own the php error log file. What could be causing PHP errors to be logged into apache error log file?

  • Single-entry implementation gone wrong

    - by user745434
    I'm doing my first single-entry site and based on the result, I can't see the benefit. I've implemented the following: .htaccess redirects all requests to index.php at the root Url is parsed and each /segment/ is stored as an element in an array First segment indicates which folder to include (e.g. "users" » "/pages/users/index.php"). index.php file of each folder parses the remaining elements in the segments array until array is empty. content.php file of each folder is included if there are no more elements in the segments array, indicating that the destination file is reached Sample File structure ( folders in [] ): [root] index.php [pages] [users] index.php content.php [profile] index.php content.php [edit] index.php content.php [other-page] index.php content.php Request: http://mysite.com/users/profile/ .htaccess redirects request to http://mysite.com/index.php URL is parsed and segments array contains: [1] users, [2] profile index.php maps [1] to "pages/users/index.php", so includes that file pages/users/index.php maps [2] to pages/users/profile/index.php, so includes that file Since no other elements in the segments array, the contents.php file in the current folder (pages/users/profile) is included. I'm not really seeing the benefit of doing this over having functions that include components of the site (e.g. include_header(), include_footer(), etc.), so I conclude that I'm doing something terribly wrong. I'm just not sure what it is.

    For some reason when a user enters a brand new username the error message <p>Username unavailable</p> is displayed and the name is not stored. I was wondering if some can help find the flaw in my code so I can fix this error? Thanks Here is the PHP code. if($_POST['username'] && trim($_POST['username'])!=='') { $u = "SELECT * FROM users WHERE username = '$username' AND user_id <> '$user_id'"; $r = mysqli_query ($mysqli, $u) or trigger_error("Query: $u\n<br />MySQL Error: " . mysqli_error($mysqli)); if (mysqli_num_rows($r) == TRUE) { echo '<p>Username unavailable</p>'; $_POST['username'] = NULL; } else if(isset($_POST['username']) && mysqli_num_rows($r) == 0 && strlen($_POST['username']) <= 255) { $username = mysqli_real_escape_string($mysqli, $_POST['username']); } else if($_POST['username'] && strlen($_POST['username']) >= 256) { echo '<p>Username can not exceed 255 characters</p>'; } }

  • receive xml file as a parameter to a .net web service

    - by fizch
    My company is currently looking into bringing a new piece of third party software in for online ordering. The software does not handle pricing so they are requesting the pricing information from a web service. Their software is passing an XML file as a parameter, and expecting an XML file as a response. I would think that returning an XML file would be pretty straight forward, but I cannot think of a way to receive an XML file as a parameter. Has anyone done this, or am I missing something really obvious?

  • Java: Writing a DOM to an XML file (formatting issues)

    - by Vhaerun
    I'm using org.w3c XML API to open an existing XML file. I'm removing some nodes , and I'm adding others instead . The problem is that the new nodes that are added are written one after another , with no newline and no indentation what so ever. While it's true that the XML file is valid , it is very hard for a human to examnine it. Is there anyway to add indentation , or at least a newline after each node ?

  • xml parsing takes extra spaces.

    - by SDK
    I have been trying to write/parse xml file in python. The tags are very simple <main> <data> abcdef </data> </main> I have written this xml using xml document writer from xml.dom.minidom. How-ever when i try to parse this and try to fetch data-text value, i get 'abcdef' with spaces/carriage return/newline characters in beg and end. Does parsing does not take of indenting spaces? Following is the parsing snippet (ref from net) dom = parseString(data) clipTag = dom.getElementsByTagName('clipdata')[0].toxml() clipData=clipTag.replace('<clipdata>','').replace('</clipdata>','') Kindly suggest.

  • Android Java error handling XML file

    - by Paul
    I'm using SAX and XML reader to read XML weather info from the web and it works fine if the page exists. But if for instance the user inputs an invalid city, zip etc the XML page that gets read from is empty and the app force closes with nullpointerexception. The area that generates the error is here right at open inputstream. Any suggestions?: SAXParserFactory spf = SAXParserFactory.newInstance(); SAXParser sp = null; try { sp = spf.newSAXParser(); } catch (ParserConfigurationException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } catch (SAXException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } /* Get the XMLReader of the SAXParser we created. */ XMLReader xr = null; try { xr = sp.getXMLReader(); } catch (SAXException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } /* Create a new ContentHandler and apply it to the XML-Reader*/ WeatherHandler myExampleHandler = new WeatherHandler(); xr.setContentHandler(myExampleHandler); /* Parse the xml-data from our URL. */ try { xr.parse(new InputSource(url.openStream())); parsedWeatherDataSet = myExampleHandler.getParsedData(); } catch (IOException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } catch (SAXException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } return parsedWeatherDataSet.toString();

  • Editing XML file content with Python.

    - by Hooloovoo
    Hi, I am trying to use Python to read in an XML file containing some parameter names and values, e.g. ... <parameter name='par1'> <value>24</value> </parameter> <parameter name='par2'> <value>Blue/Red/Green</value> </parameter> ... and then pass it a dictionary with the parameter names {'par1':'53','par2':'Yellow/Pink/Black',...} and corresponding new values to replace the old ones in the XML file. The output should then overwrite the original XML file. At the moment I am converting the XML to a python dictionary and after some element comparison and regular expression handling, writing the output again in XML format. I am not too happy with this and was wondering whether anyone can recommend a more efficient way of doing it? Thanks.

  • xml cache on iphone

    - by dubbeat
    Hi, Could somebody suggest a technique or class library to read up on for XML Caching on the iphone? The biggest lag in my app is the XML being downloaded from the server. If a user views a screen the xml has to be downloaded and parsed and theres a wait of a few seconds. If they leave the screen and come back to it again they have to wait all over again which is kinda crappy.

  • Succinct LINQ to XML Query

    - by Kent Boogaart
    Assuming you have the following XML: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <content> <info> <media> <image> <info> <imageType>product</imageType> </info> <imagedata fileref="http://www.example.com/image1.jpg" /> </image> <image> <info> <imageType>manufacturer</imageType> </info> <imagedata fileref="http://www.example.com/image2.jpg" /> </image> </media> </info> </content> Using LINQ to XML, what is the most succinct, robust way to obtain a System.Uri for an image of a given type? At the moment I have this: private static Uri GetImageUri(XElement xml, string imageType) { return (from imageTypeElement in xml.Descendants("imageType") where imageTypeElement.Value == imageType && imageTypeElement.Parent != null && imageTypeElement.Parent.Parent != null from imageDataElement in imageTypeElement.Parent.Parent.Descendants("imagedata") let fileRefAttribute = imageDataElement.Attribute("fileref") where fileRefAttribute != null && !string.IsNullOrEmpty(fileRefAttribute.Value) select new Uri(fileRefAttribute.Value)).FirstOrDefault(); } This works, but feels way too complicated. Especially when you consider the XPath equivalent. Can anyone point out a better way?

  • Php header('Location") error

    - by Umeed
    I'm having some difficulty with my php coding. I have 3 files, add.php, lib.php, and view.php I created a simple form, and when the user clicks submit, it should direct them to the view.php where it will display the database. Now I'm having a couple issues I can't seem to resolve. when the user clicks submit and the fields are blank or there is an error no entry should be made into the view page (or database)...however when I click submit a blank entry is made into the database. ALSO if i click "enter product" from the top menu bar anytime I click it, it causes a blank entry into the database. I can't figure out why that's happening. My next issue is with the header('Location') and my browser says: "Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at lib.php:13) in add.php on line 16" However if I click submit on my form it goes away. Here is the code for the pages: http://ideone.com/Vvz8x I truly apologize if the code is really messy. Any help / advice / solution is greatly appreciated thank you. And yes this was an assignment---it was due last week but since I couldn't finish it, it's not worth any marks anymore.

  • Java, UnmarshallingException caused by XML attribute with special chars: ;ìè+òàù-<^èç°§_>!£$%&/()=?~

    - by segolas
    Hi, my xml file has a tag with an attribute "containsValue" which contains the "special" characters you can see in the subject: <original_msg_body id="msgBodySpecialCharsRule" containsValue=";ìè+òàù-<^èç°§_>!£$%&/()=?~`'#;" /> in my xml schema the attribute has xs:string: <xs:attribute name="containsValue" type="xs:string" /> I use this value inside a Java software which check if this value is contained inside another String. but I always obtain this Exception: javax.xml.bind.UnmarshalException - with linked exception: [org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The value of attribute "containsValue" associated with an element type "original_msg_body" must not contain the '<' character.] How can I solve it? I've tried changing the attribute type to xs:NMTOKEN, ut I get the same exception. Is there any other type? I think I could change the characters encoding, for example using the HTML representation, like <, but than could be tricky for the string comparison...

  • strange behavior while including a class in php

    - by user1864539
    I'm experiencing a strange behavior with PHP. Basically I want to require a class within a PHP script. I know it is straight forward and I did it before but when I do so, it change the behavior of my jquery (1.8.3) ajax response. I'm running a wamp setup and my PHP version is 5.4.6. Here is a sample as for my index.html head (omitting the jquery js include) <script> $(document).ready(function(){ $('#submit').click(function(){ var action = $('#form').attr('action'); var form_data = { fname: $('#fname').val(), lname: $('#lname').val(), phone: $('#phone').val(), email: $('#email').val(), is_ajax: 1 }; $.ajax({ type: $('#form').attr('method'), url: action, data: form_data, success: function(response){ switch(response){ case 'ok': var msg = 'data saved'; break; case 'ko': var msg = 'Oops something wrong happen'; break; default: var msg = 'misc:<br/>'+response; break; } $('#message').html(msg); } }); return false; }); }); </script> body <div id="message"></div> <form id="form" action="handler.php" method="post"> <p> <input type="text" name="fname" id="fname" placeholder="fname"> <input type="text" name="lname" id="lname" placeholder="lname"> </p> <p> <input type="text" name="phone" id="phone" placeholder="phone"> <input type="text" name="email" id="email" placeholder="email"> </p> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="submit" id="submit"> </form> And as for the handler.php file: <?php require('class/Container.php'); $filename = 'xml/memory.xml'; $is_ajax = $_REQUEST['is_ajax']; if(isset($is_ajax) && $is_ajax){ $fname = $_REQUEST['fname']; $lname = $_REQUEST['lname']; $phone = $_REQUEST['phone']; $email = $_REQUEST['email']; $obj = new Container; $obj->insertData('fname',$fname); $obj->insertData('lname',$lname); $obj->insertData('phone',$phone); $obj->insertData('email',$email); $tmp = $obj->give(); $result = $tmp['_obj']; /* Push data inside array */ $array = array(); foreach($result as $key => $value){ array_push($array,$key,$value); } $xml = simplexml_load_file($filename); // check if there is any data in if(count($xml->elements->data) == 0){ // if not, create the structure $xml->elements->addChild('data',''); } // proceed now that we do have the structure if(count($xml->elements->data) == 1){ foreach($result as $key => $value){ $xml->elements->data->addChild($key,$value); } $xml->saveXML($filename); echo 'ok'; }else{ echo 'ko'; } } ? The Container class: <?php class Container{ private $_obj; public function __construct(){ $this->_obj = array(); } public function addData($data = array()){ if(!empty($data)){ $oldData = $this->_obj; $data = array_merge($oldData,$data); $this->_obj = $data; } } public function removeData($key){ if(!empty($key)){ $oldData = $this->_obj; unset($oldData[$key]); $this->_obj = $oldData; } } public function outputData(){ return $this->_obj; } public function give(){ return get_object_vars($this); } public function insertData($key,$value){ $this->_obj[$key] = $value; } } ? The strange thing is that my result always fall under the default switch statement and the ajax response fit both present statement. I noticed then if I just paste the Container class on the top of the handler.php file, everything works properly but it kind of defeat what I try to achieve. I tried different way to include the Container class but it seem to be than the issue is specific to this current scenario. I'm still learning PHP and my guess is that I'm missing something really basic. I also search on stackoverflow regarding the issue I'm experiencing as well as PHP.net, without success. Regards,

  • Blank Mail from PHP application

    - by brettlwilliams
    Problem: Blank email from PHP web application. Confirmed: App works in Linux, has various problems in Windows server environment. Blank emails are the last remaining problem. PHP Version 5.2.6 on the server I'm a librarian implementing a PHP based web application to help students complete their assignments.I have installed this application before on a Linux based free web host and had no problems. Email is controlled by two files, email_functions.php and email.php. While email can be sent, all that is sent is a blank email. My IT department is an ASP only shop, so I can get little to no help there. I also cannot install additional libraries like PHPmail or Swiftmailer. • (PHP) User is being forced to RE-LOGIN after trying to do something on an admin page

    - by hatorade
    I have created an admin panel for a client in PHP, which requires a login. Here is the code at the top of the admin page requiring the user to be logged in: admin.php <?php session_start(); require("_lib/session_functions.php"); require("_lib/db.php"); db_connect(); //if the user has not logged in if(!isLoggedIn()) { header('Location: login_form.php'); die(); } ?> Obviously, the if statement is what catches them and forces them to log in. Here is the code on the resulting login page: login_form.php <form name="login" action="login.php" method="post"> Username: <input type="text" name="username" /> Password: <input type="password" name="password" /> <input type="submit" value="Login" /> </form> Which posts info to this controller page: login.php <?php session_start(); //must call session_start before using any $_SESSION variables include '_lib/session_functions.php'; $username = $_POST['username']; $password = $_POST['password']; include '_lib/db.php'; db_connect(); // Connect to the DB $username = mysql_real_escape_string($username); $query = "SELECT password, salt FROM users WHERE username = '$username';"; $result = mysql_query($query); if(mysql_num_rows($result) < 1) //no such user exists { header('Location: login_form.php?login=fail'); die(); } $userData = mysql_fetch_array($result, MYSQL_ASSOC); db_disconnect(); $hash = hash('sha256', $password . $userData['salt']); if($hash != $userData['password']) //incorrect password { header('Location: login_form.php?login=fail'); die(); } else { validateUser(); //sets the session data for this user } header('Location: admin.php'); ?> and the session functions page that provides login functions contains this: session_functions.php <?php function validateUser() { session_regenerate_id (); //this is a security measure $_SESSION['valid'] = 1; $_SESSION['userid'] = $username; } function isLoggedIn() { if($_SESSION['valid']) return true; return false; } function logout() { $_SESSION = array(); //destroy all of the session variables if (ini_get("session.use_cookies")) { $params = session_get_cookie_params(); setcookie(session_name(), '', time() - 42000, $params["path"], $params["domain"], $params["secure"], $params["httponly"] ); } session_destroy(); } ?> I grabbed the sessions_functions.php code of an online tutorial, so it could be suspicious. Any ideas why the user logs in to the admin panel, tries to do something, is forced to re-login, and THEN is allowed to do stuff like normal in the admin panel?

  • Where's my memory?! Nginx + PHP-FPM front end webserver slows to a crawl...

    - by incredimike
    I'm not sure if I have a problem with a memory leak (as my hosting company suggests), or if we both need to read http://linuxatemyram.com. Maybe you clever people can help us out? This is a front-end webserver VM running essentially only nginx & php-fpm on RHEL 5.5. This server is powering Magento, a PHP eCommerce thinggy. The server is running in a shared environment, but we're changing that soon. Anyway.. after a reboot the server runs just fine, but within a day it will grind itself into nothingness. Pages will take literally 2 minutes to load, CPU spikes like crazy, etc.. The console is even sluggish when I SSH in. It's like my whole server is being brought to its knees. I've also been monitoring the DB server via top and tcpdumping incoming traffic. The DB stays idle for a good portion of that "slow" load time. When i start seeing queries coming from the front-end server, the page loads soon afterward. Here are some stats after me logging in during a slow-down, after restarting php-fpm: [mike@front01 ~]$ free -m total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 5963 5217 745 0 192 314 -/+ buffers/cache: 4711 1252 Swap: 4047 4 4042 [mike@front01 ~]$ top top - 11:38:55 up 2 days, 1:01, 3 users, load average: 0.06, 0.17, 0.21 Tasks: 131 total, 1 running, 130 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie Cpu0 : 0.0%us, 0.3%sy, 0.0%ni, 99.3%id, 0.3%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st Cpu1 : 0.3%us, 0.0%sy, 0.0%ni, 99.7%id, 0.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st Cpu2 : 0.0%us, 0.0%sy, 0.0%ni,100.0%id, 0.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st Cpu3 : 0.0%us, 0.0%sy, 0.0%ni,100.0%id, 0.0%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st Mem: 6106800k total, 5361288k used, 745512k free, 199960k buffers Swap: 4144728k total, 4976k used, 4139752k free, 328480k cached PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 31806 apache 15 0 601m 120m 37m S 0.0 2.0 0:22.23 php-fpm 31805 apache 15 0 549m 66m 31m S 0.0 1.1 0:14.54 php-fpm 31809 apache 16 0 547m 65m 32m S 0.0 1.1 0:12.84 php-fpm 32285 apache 15 0 546m 63m 33m S 0.0 1.1 0:09.22 php-fpm 32373 apache 15 0 546m 62m 32m S 0.0 1.1 0:09.66 php-fpm 31808 apache 16 0 543m 60m 35m S 0.0 1.0 0:18.93 php-fpm 31807 apache 16 0 533m 49m 30m S 0.0 0.8 0:08.93 php-fpm 32092 apache 15 0 535m 48m 27m S 0.0 0.8 0:06.67 php-fpm 4392 root 18 0 194m 10m 7184 S 0.0 0.2 0:06.96 cvd 4064 root 15 0 154m 8304 4220 S 0.0 0.1 3:55.57 snmpd 4394 root 15 0 119m 5660 2944 S 0.0 0.1 0:02.84 EvMgrC 31804 root 15 0 519m 5180 932 S 0.0 0.1 0:00.46 php-fpm 4138 ntp 15 0 23396 5032 3904 S 0.0 0.1 0:02.38 ntpd 643 nginx 15 0 95276 4408 1524 S 0.0 0.1 0:01.15 nginx 5131 root 16 0 90128 3340 2600 S 0.0 0.1 0:01.41 sshd 28467 root 15 0 90128 3340 2600 S 0.0 0.1 0:00.35 sshd 32602 root 16 0 90128 3332 2600 S 0.0 0.1 0:00.36 sshd 1614 root 16 0 90128 3308 2588 S 0.0 0.1 0:00.02 sshd 2817 root 5 -10 7216 3140 1724 S 0.0 0.1 0:03.80 iscsid 4161 root 15 0 66948 2340 800 S 0.0 0.0 0:10.35 sendmail 1617 nicole 17 0 53876 2000 1516 S 0.0 0.0 0:00.02 sftp-server ...
