  • Reorder inputs before submiting form

    Is there any way to reorder or manipulate a set of inputs before posting to a script for processing? I'm able to reorder the elements in the DOM no problem, but getting this to happen after the user presses the submit button and before the browser makes the POST is a bit tricky. I'm using the ajaxForm plugin in jQuery. There is a beforeSubmit callback, but this doesn't seem to allow me to reorded the inputs.

  • how to properly transfer user input from index to invoice?

    I got a dillema, I'm trying to find a solution for my code. How do I make it so that when the user inputs a given quantity in the text box from the index.php it will transfer that input quantity to the invoice.php. I've tried doing the post method but it seems like it's not working :/ As always, any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!   • PHP, javascript, single quote problems with IE when passing variable from ajax post to javascript fu

    Hi! I have been trying to get this to work for a while, and I suspect there's an easy solution that I just can't find. My head feels like jelly and I would really appreciate any help. My main page.php makes a .post() to backend.php and fetches a list of cities which it echoes in the form of: <li onclick="script('$data');">$data</li> The list is fetched and put onto the page via .html(). My problem occurs when $data has a single quote in it. backend.php passes the variable just fine to page.php but when i run html() it throws a javascript error (in IE, not FF obviously); ')' is expected IE parses the single quote and messes up the script()-call. I've been trying to rebuild the echoed string in different ways, escaping the 's on the php side and/or on the javascript side - but in vain.   • jQuery post with FileStreamResult as return value

    Hello, I'm quite new with jquery and asp.net mvc. My problem is that I'm calling a method in a controller that returns a FileStreamResult. This is working fine, but when I'm calling it with the jQuery post it doesn't work. I can see with vs debug tool that the progam is exectuting the method. Therefor I think it has something to do with that my jQuery call should take care of the return parameter? Somenoe?   • Howto use FB Graph to post a message on a feed (wall)

    I have created an app, and now i want to post a message on one of my friends wall with use of the new Graph API. Is this do-able? I am already using oAuth and the Graph-api to get a list of all my friends. The API at http://developers.facebook.com/docs/api tells me to cURL https://graph.facebook.com/[userid]/feed to read the feed, but it also tells me howto post a message: curl -F 'access_token=[...]' -F 'message=Hello, Arjun. I like this new API.' https://graph.facebook.com/arjun/feed Ofcourse this doesn't work! And I can't find out why..   • Django cannot find my templatetags, even though it's in INSTALLED_APPS and has a __init__.py

    I just installed django-compress (http://code.google.com/p/django-compress) into /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/site-packages/compress. I added 'compress' to INSTALLED_APPS. In my template file, I wrote {% load compressed %}. I got the error: 'compressed' is not a valid tag library: Could not load template library from django.templatetags.compressed, No module named compressed I verified that there is an init.py in compress, as well as in compress/templatetags/. I tried putting the compress directory into PYTHONPATH. I ran python and wrote "import compress" and that worked. Your suggestions would be very appreciated! What else can I try?

[HttpPost] public ActionResult ReportByRange(ReportViewModel viewModel) { Period reportPeriod = viewModel.ReportPeriod; // this is null } I expected MVC would try to set the string from the textbox to that property and it would automatically generate a Period (as in my FormCollection example), but it's not. How do I tell the textbox I've generated in the custom editor to poplate that property on the model?

    I have a custom MembershipProvider and a custom RoleProvider. I created the custom MembershipProvider by creating a SimpleMembershipProvider class which implements the MembershipProvider class. After that I changed my web.config and works. So I used the same approach creating a custom RoleProvider. Nothing special, just creating a SimpleRoleProvider class which implements the RoleProvider class.   • Jmesa table page navigation

    I am new to Jmesa and am trying to use it on my jsp page. I use exactly same JSP and controller code as the example on http://code.google.com/p/jmesa/wiki/JSPTagExample . The table shows up and looks fine. The problem is non of the buttons on the toolbar are working. E.g. page navigation arrows, etc. What might be wrong with my code( As I said it is exactly same as the example). Should I add extra code for page navigation? Thanks, Sara. Update: I found out what the problem is, after I enter toolbar buttons it routes to "localhost:8080/portal/projectTag.run?maxRows=4&projectTag_tr_=true&projectTag_p_=1&projectTag_mr_=4" "Instead of "localhost:8080/portal/page/projects/projectTag.run?maxRows=4&projectTag_tr_=true&projectTag_p_=1&projectTag_mr_=4" So it doesn't include the "/page/projects" in the url. How can I add that?

The commendable awareness exhibited by contributors that their answers are studied/used as learning material by millions of developers all over the world has created a regulated trust that seemingly keeps the nonsense (and egos) at the bottom of the barrel and out of the way.   • NSURLConnection sendSynchronousRequest: fails when using POST

    I'm using a custom NSURLCache to intercept calls for certain web pages in order to modify them dynamically. Inside cachedResponseForRequest: I modify the request, then send it out using sendSynchronousRequest. This works very well until you attempt to submit a form. If there is post data it fails. If i remove the HTTPBody and set the request to GET, it succeeds. But i need it to work with POST. If i send the request asynchronously it also works which is why i can't figure out why the synchronous request fails.
