I have installed SQL2k8r2 express with reporting and mgmt studio.
However reporting isn't not letting me manage anything. I can upload new reports but the permissions are all screwed up. Any ideas
In Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 I've created a template to use as an auto responder and I set a rule to respond using the template if my name is in the "to line".
Upon receiving any message the rule reports an error but gives no explanation of what the error is.
My goal here is simply to make an auto responder, if there is a simpler way/workaround I would love any help getting the to work as I am leaving town very shortly.
I have been looking in using OTRS - ITSM to manage all of our services but wanted to know if any software existed that is not built into a ticket system?
Pretty much want to add all services and tie them to an SLA. Once that is done, we would manually declare incidents and the system would automatically send our notificaton to the proper e-mail lists for downtime/planned maintenance.
Would be nice if it calculates reports for SLAs etc.
thanks
Device manager shows that device is properly installed:
High Definition Audio Device
Device type: Sound, video and game controllers
Manufacter: Microsoft
Location: Location 0 (Internal High Definition Audio Bus)
But every program trying to play sound reports that devicce is unavailable. In Windows XP it works properly.
Hi there,
I set up php/fastcgi with nginx and now I want to upload very large files via a java-applet. After about 30 seconds, the applet reports a "Broken pipe". In the server logs, i find nothing. I changed any setting in the php.ini (max_execution_time, max_input_time, memory_limit, post_max_size) to very high values, but nothing helps.
Any idea?
I have a Linux machine that is not running too much in the way of software, but is somehow using 1.7GB of the 2GB of the installed memory. When I run free, I get:
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 2072616 1979972 92644 0 164876 129740
-/+ buffers/cache: 1685356 387260
Swap: 498004 1632 496372
However, when I run ps aux, the memory usage of all processes only comes out to 295.9MB, which is a far cry from the 1.7GB of memory that free reports as used.
Why is there such a discrepancy?
I've installed a version of a very handy application (Nokia Battery Monitor 1.1) and was quite pleased to see a v1.2 out recently.
The problem is that I cant seem to update this app on my phone via the ovi app; the 'download' link is disabled.
Also tried the 'sw update' app, but it reports that all applications are up-to-date.
Any idea how do this without installing/reinstalling the app?
The phone model is Nokia 5800
I have Zabbix monitoring disk space for several volumes on several servers. It works fine on all of them except for one of the volumes on one of the servers which always reports as 0. However, when I run
./zabbix_get -s localhost -p 10050 -k 'vfs.fs.size[/home, free]'
locally on the machine in question, it gives me the correct, non-zero size which matches the output of df.
How can I go about troubleshooting and correcting this problem?
This question is a logical continuation of http://serverfault.com/questions/45245/how-can-i-delete-all-files-from-a-directory-when-it-reports-argument-list-too-lo
I have
drwxr-xr-x 2 doreshkin doreshkin 198291456 Apr 6 21:35 session_data
I tried
find session_data -type f -delete
find session_data -type f | xargs rm -f
find session_data -maxdepth 1 -type f -print0 | xargs -r0 rm -f
The result is the same:
find: memory exhausted
What can I do to remove this directory?
Hi!
I'm looking for a way to put my reports built with Report Builder 2.0 under version/source control in Visual SourceSafe. Is there any plugin-s for Report Builder 2.0 (or maybe 3.0)?
Thanks,

Hey I've just installed Windows Server 2003 Enterprise onto a newly built PC with this motherboard, but when I try to install the CDROM Support files it reports with an alert that says "Support files incompatible with WIN... blah blah" (Basically they seem to be only compatible with win7).
Should I be installing Windows Server 2012 for these drivers? or are there drivers that are compatible with the Server 2003 Operating System?
At work, on certain projects I have to manage a lot of images. Most of the time PNG files work the best for what I'm doing.
With such a huge amount of images, I've tried using PNG compression with PNG Gauntlet but sometimes the file doesn't really change and sometimes PNG Gauntlet reports it would've made the filesize bigger!
Am I just maxing out the compression or is there something more I can do?
I have encrypted a drive with BitLocker in Windows 8 Pro, but the drive will not auto-unlock. I can manually unlock the drive from BitLocker in the Control Panel. However from Windows Explorer, I keep seeing the "unlock-bde" command that reports the error "application not found." Anyone know how to permanently fix this issue so it will auto-unlock the encrypted drive upon login to Windows 8 and it does not reoccur?
For the use case where the WAN connection goes down, but employees can still access wifi, I'd like them to be able to check on some sort of a public router status page in their problem reports. This may have been available on DD-WRT at one point (or still is), I can't 100% recall anymore.
Going through all LuCI's screens with a fine-toothed comb and googling a fair amount isn't producing results. Anyone have a solution?
Is there a way in SSRS 2000 to set the datasource that a report is using via the webservice? I am currently generating reports using the SSRS2000_ReportService.ReportingService webservice and want to dynamically switch between a couple of shared data sources on demand. I am using C# but could adapt other languages if needed.

I have 8 SQL Server installations (on 8 separate servers).
I want a way in which I can estimate future disk space requirements. Can anyone list down the parameters which can be helpful in making such reports?
here can I find somewhat reliable indications of server market shares, without having to fork out $$$$$ for IDC or Gartner reports?
I have considered the W3 statistics, net applications etc, and these are not what I would consider reliable.
Is there anything more, that is free?
I have a CentOS "development / testing" server that runs extremely slowly. It's running Apache and Mysql using PHP. Top reports that 98% of the CPU utilization is frequently spent on "st" - Steal Time. What could cause a server to spend so much CPU on steal time, and how can I diagnose the problem? I didn't notice the problem until after I granted a third party developer root access (for all I know it has a root kit running, though unlikely).

I'd like to be notified via email if our Linux servers are under any kind of hacking attempt or service attack. Is there some kind of all-in-one solution that can monitor for suspicious activity and send reports of said activity to an email address?
The iPhone can connect to the Notes web mail. But when i get to configure ActiveSync the iPhone ask for my "Exchange user password" and then reports "Cannot connect to the server".
What could be wrong ? What must run on the server, what is my "Exchange password" the same as the notes web mail password ?
I have a database server (db1) that has SSIS installed and configured (SQL 2008). I have configured it so I can remotely connect to SSIS through SSMS. Now I am trying to open one of these SSIS projects that is in the MSDB database? I know in SSRS it is easy to deploy to the server reports, but I'm not seeing a way to open or deploy SSIS projects?
Dave.
I've configured an Apache httpd server (v2.2) as a reverse proxy (with SSL) to a Microsoft IIS website running an ASP.NET application with SQL Server Report Services.
The proxy mostly works but Report Viewer reports aren't being proxied, all I get is a square window in Chrome and in IE I get the following error:
This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to display the non secure items?
I click yes then I get the following:
Unable to locate control: ReportFrame_ctl0_plchldrMainContent_1_ReportViewer1.
