  • [AJAX Numeric Updown Control] Microsoft JScript runtime error: The number of fractional digits is out of range

    If you have using Ajax control toolkits a lot (which I will skip the parts on where to download and how to configure it in Visual Studio 2010), you might have encountered some bugs or limitations of the controls, or rather, some weird behaviours. I would call them weird behaviours though. Recently, I've been working on a Ajax numeric updown control, which i remember clearly it was working fine without problems. In fact, I use 2 numeric updown control this time. So I went on to configure it to be as simple as possible and I will just use the default up and down buttons provided by it (so that I won't need to design my own). I have two textbox controls to display the value controlled by the updown control. One for month, and another for year. <asp:TextBox ID="txtMonth" runat="server" CssClass="txtNumeric" ReadOnly="True" Width="150px" /> <asp:TextBox ID="txtYear" runat="server" CssClass="txtNumeric" ReadOnly="True" Width="150px" /> So I will now drop 1 numeric updown control for each of the textboxes. <asp:NumericUpDownExtender ID="txtMonth_NumericUpDownExtender"     runat="server" TargetControlID="txtMonth" Maximum="12" Minimum="1" Width="152"> </asp:NumericUpDownExtender>                          <asp:NumericUpDownExtender ID="txtYear_NumericUpDownExtender"     runat="server" TargetControlID="txtYear" Width="152"> </asp:NumericUpDownExtender>                                                  You noticed that I configure the Maximum and Minimum value for the first numericupdown control, but I never did the same for the second one (for txtYear). That's because it won't work, well, at least for me. So I remove the Minimum="2000" and Maximum="2099" from there. Then I would configure the initial value to the the current year, and let the year to flow up and down freely. If you want, you want write the codes to restrict it.   • Is it possible to host a website with Apache HTTP through a ZyXEL EQ-660R modem and a Netgear WGT624v3 wireless router?

    Essentially, I have a spare desktop computer I'd like to turn into a web server, but my modem and wireless router are very difficult to work with. I installed Apache HTTP and successfully hosted a test page which can be accessed anywhere on the LAN. However, I'm having trouble setting up the server to be accessed from my external IP address. I was supplied with a ZyXEL EQ-660R DSL modem by my ISP (CenturyLink) and bought a Netgear WGT624v3 wireless router in which to connect my laptop and spare desktop. ZyXEL's website is no help, and I don't think much of the problem is with the Netgear router. I've played with many settings and have tried to forward port 80 from the modem, but I've had no luck. Could someone direct me toward a solution or recommendations for more promising hardware? Or should I admit defeat and explore other hobbies? :)

    I have a fairly large NSData (or NSMutableData if necessary) object which I want to take a small chunk out of and leave the rest. Since I'm working with large amounts of NSData bytes, I don't want to make a big copy, but instead just truncate the existing bytes. Basically: NSData *source: < a few bytes I want to discard + < big chunk of bytes I want to keep NSData *destination: < big chunk of bytes I want to keep There are truncation methods in NSMutableData, but they only truncate the end of it, whereas I want to truncate the beginning. My thoughts are to do this with the methods: - getBytes:range: and - initWithBytesNoCopy:length:freeWhenDone: However, I'm trying to figure out how to manage memory with these. I'm guessing the process will be like this (I've placed ????s where I don't know what to do): void *buffer // Get range of bytes [source getBytes:buffer range:NSMakeRange(myStart, myLength)]; // Somehow (m)alloc the memory which will be freed up in the following step ????? // Release the source, now that I've allocated the bytes [source release]; // Create a new data, recycling the bytes so they don't have to be copied NSData destination = [[NSData alloc] initWithBytesNoCopy:buffer length:myLength freeWhenDone:YES]; Thanks for the help!

    Hi, regex is bugging me right now. I simply want to replace the range=100 in a string like var string = '...commonstringblabla&range=100&stringandsoon...'; with ...commonstringblabla&range=400&stringandsoon... I successfully matched the "range=100"-part with alert( string.match(/range=100/) ); But when I try to replace it string.replace(/range=100/, 'range=400'); nothing happens, the string still has the range=100 in it... I don't get it, please help.

The following line of code looks in column E of the Source file, and if any of the entries match the values shown in the code it copies that row of data to paste into the Destination file. Rows(j).Delete I just wondered whether someone may be able to look at this please and let me know where I'm going wrong, or perhaps even suggest a more efficient process of allowing the user to merge the workbooks.   • A few problems with Delphi involving Mail Merge, SQL + Databases.

    My first problem is with mail merge. I have created a a Data File and a table, yet I am not able to fill my table with information from my Data File. The << just seems to be inserted after wherever the cursor is on the page, which is not where the table is. All that is entered into the actual table is a '59'. Therefore I think I either need to to change the code or be able to move the cursor. The third problem is that when I add a new column to my database manually (which I need to do) I get a 'violation' error in one of my units when I activate an ADOTable. This only happens on one unit and it happens when I add a column with any name anywhere in the table. I know that is vague but I can't seem to narrow down the problem any further than that.   • NetworkManager detects no networks with a RTL8188CE

    I'm on a 2011 Lenovo Thinkpad T420i with a Realtek RTL8188CE WiFi adapter. Here's the scenario: I pop in the Ubuntu LiveCD to install. Laptop detects all networks in range, I connect to my home network, internet working great. Once Ubuntu finishes installing, the home network I am connected to is the only one which appears in the applet list. Upon restarting or waking from suspend, NetworkManager does not detect any networks – it simply displays "Disconnected" under the Wireless Network section of the menu. I am able to connect to my home network by using the "Connect to Hidden Wireless Network" option and it works immediately. I have yet to test if this works with other SSIDs. I have tried reinstalling the entire OS as well as NetworkManager and my wireless drivers. This was not a problem in Natty or Oneiric. I hope this can be fixed, I don't want to have to ask for an SSID wherever I need to connect.

  • Can't Reboot into Windows 8.1 from Ubuntu

    I am newb in Ubuntu. Currently I am using an Acer V11 laptop with a pre-intalled Windows 8.1. I follow some guideline (http://www.everydaylinuxuser.com/2014/05/install-ubuntu-1404-alongside-windows.html) which successfully install Ubuntu 14.04 LTS alongside Windows 8.1 with UEFI enabled all the way throughout the installation and my current usage and a GRUB. But I got into some problem. The dual boot mostly works fine as I am able to successfully boot into either one of the Windows 8.1 or Ubuntu when stating my laptop. However it ran into issue after I start the device and use Ubuntu for a while (2 hour for instance) and then restart it: If I press the restart from Ubuntu, the grub still shows and I am still able to choose the Windows Boot Manager. But the Windows loading process was stuck at the Acer Loading Screen and I am not able to see the standard circular Win8 loading progress bar. Does someone know why would this happens?

I'd still like to use the range-selector in order to zoom to pre-determined ranges within my linear series. Is this possible? For example; say my xAxis has a series: [[121,616],[122,600],[123,605],[124,585.5],[125,575.5],[126,580.5],[127,582],[128,582],[129,584],[130,583]] I'd like to use the range selector to zoom to the last n in the series.

    I am trying to select rows from a table where one of the (NVARCHAR) columns is within a numeric range. SELECT ID, Value FROM Data WHERE ISNUMERIC(Value) = 1 AND CONVERT(FLOAT, Value) < 66.6 Unfortunately as part of the SQL spec the AND clauses don't have to short circuit (and don't on MSSQL Server EE 2008). More info: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/789231/is-the-sql-where-clause-short-circuit-evaluated My next attempt was to try this to see if I could achieve delayed evaluation of the CONVERT SELECT ID, Value FROM Data WHERE (CASE WHEN ISNUMERIC(Value) = 1 THEN CONVERT(FLOAT, Value) < 66.6 ELSE 0 END) but I cannot seem to use a < (or any comparison) with the result of a CONVERT. It fails with the error Incorrect syntax near '<'. I can get away with SELECT ID, CONVERT(FLOAT, Value) AS Value FROM Data WHERE ISNUMERIC(Value) = 1 So the obvious solution is to wrap the whole select statement in another SELECT and WHERE and return the converted values from the inner select and filter in there where of the outer select. Unfortunately this is where my Linq-to-sql problem comes in. I am filtering not only by one range but potentialy by many, or just by the existance of the record (there are some date range selects and comparisons I've left out.) Essentially I would like to be able to generate something like this: SELECT ID, TypeID, Value FROM Data WHERE (TypeID = 4 AND ISNUMERIC(Value) AND CONVERT(Float, Value) < 66.6) OR (TypeID = 8 AND ISNUMERIC(Value) AND CONVERT(Float, Value) > 99) OR (TypeID = 9) (With some other clauses in each of those where options.) This clearly doesn't work if I filter out the non-ISNUMERIC values in an inner select. As I mentioned I am using Linq-to-sql (and PredicateBulider) to build up these queries but unfortunately Datas.Where(x => ISNUMERIC(x.Value) ? Convert.ToDouble(x.Value) < 66.6 : false) Gets converted to this which fails the initial problem. WHERE (ISNUMERIC([t0].[Value]) = 1) AND ((CONVERT(Float,[t0].[Value])) < @p0) My last resort will have to be to outer join against a double select on the same table for each of the comparisons but this isn't really an idea solution. I was wondering if anyone has run into similar issues before?

I have a series of extremely similar queries that I run against a table of 1.4 billion records (with indexes), the only problem is that at least 10% of those queries take 100x more time to execute than others. I ran an explain plan and noticed that the for the fast queries (roughly 90%) Oracle is using an index range scan (on my created), while on the slow one, it's using a full index scan. Is there a way to force Oracle to do a an index range scan? Thanks!

    For the life of me I cannot get my google calendar xml feed to only display events within a certain date range. I know that start-min and start-max are supposed to limit the output (according to these posts: (links to posts deleted because I am a newbie and can only post one hyperlink argh) BUT I CAN'T GET IT TO WORK. It keeps showing lot of things outside the range. I created a sample calendar and made it public. It is some events the first week of april. Can anyone show me how to construct a request that only returns those three events from the first week in april? I'll GLADLY and GRATEFULLY paypal $10 to anyone who helps me break through on this. It is not correct to add one to the result in the general case. The following query: SELECT DATEDIFF(DAY, '2012-01-01 00:00:00', '2012-01-02 00:00:00') selects 1, which is correct, because there is only one distinct date in the range. I'm sure there is a simple bit of arithmetic that I'm missing to calculate this. Can someone help me?

    Suppose i have a unsigned integer, call it low and one another call it high such that highlow. The problem is to find distinct digit set numbers over this range. For example, suppose low is 1 and high is 20 then the answer is 20, because all the numbers in this range are of distinct digit sets. If suppose low is 1 and high is 21, then the answer is 20, because 12 and 21 have same digit set i.e.1, 2. I am not looking for a bruteforce algo., if anyone has a better solution then a usual bruteforce approach, please tell..
