• How to update records based on sum of a field then use the sum to calc a new value in sql

  Say, I have an array with months $months = array('Jan', 'Feb', 'Mar'...'Dec'); And another, with days (say, for year 2010) $mdays = array(31, 28, 31...31); I want to merge/combine these two arrays, into an array like this: $monthdetails[0] = ('month' => 'Jan', 'days' => 31) $monthdetails[1] = ('month' => 'Feb', 'days' => 28) ... $monthdetails[11] = ('month' => 'Dec', 'days' => 31) I can loop through both the arrays and fill the $monthdetails. I want to know whether there are any functions/easier way for achieving the same result. Thanks! Raj

• Lighttpd + fastcgi + python (for django) slow on first request

  I'm having a problem with a django website I host with lighttpd + fastcgi. It works great but it seems that the first request always takes up to 3seconds. Subsequent requests are much faster (<1s). I activated access logs in lighttpd in order to track the issue. But I'm kind of stuck. • Strange hex formatting in NSString

  Try this: unsigned long long int N; = 23229877463LL; NSString* s = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"dec:%qi, hex:%qX",N,N]; NSLog(@"output: %@",s); output: dec:23229877460, hex:689BCCD400000005 What's up with the 00000005??? In mySQL, hex(23229877460) = 5689BCCD4. Also, every other language seems to do this correctly. A 16 digit long hex is like 4 gazillion (16^16), right? How can I get objective-c to format hex numbers that other languages can understand?

  I need to output a cell to an excel file. Before this I need to convert a date column of integers to datestrings. I know how to do this, but I am not able to put this new string array back into the cell - mycell = { 'AIR' [780] [1] [734472] [0.01] ; ... 'ABC' [780] [1] [734472] [0.02]} I did this -- dates = datestr(cell2mat(mycell(:,4))) ; What I need as an answer is: {'AIR' [780] [1] '14-Dec-2010' [0.01] ; 'ABC' [780] [1] '23-Dec-2010' [0.03] ; } so that I can now send it to an excel file using xlswrite.m

  I'm trying to configure Dynamic DNS client on my router with dd-wrt (v24-sp2) firmware so it would dynamically change IP address in one of the DNS records.   Hi, I've run into some problems with how I've got user home directories set up on our system here. Our server is an XServe, using Open Directory to manage the user accounts. The majority of our workstations are OSX, but there are a few running Linux (Centos 5.3), and, as time goes on, we expect the proportion of Linux workstations to increase (at some point, we expect to move the server side over to Linux too, but for now we're running with what we've already got) To ensure that the Linux and OSX workstations both see user's home directories in the same place, I shared the home directories using NFS. On the server end, the home directories are stored in: /Volumes/data/company_users This is mounted on the workstations to: /mount/company_users This work fine on the Linux workstations, but there is some weirdness under OSX. For the user who is logged in through the GUI, it all works just fine. However, if a user tries to SSH into a machine that they are not the primary user on, they often have no access to their own home directory. It looks as though OSX is trying to do something else to the user home directories mount point when you log in through the GUI.... For example, on this machine (nv001), I (hugh) am logged into the GUI. Last login: Mon Mar 8 18:17:52 on ttys011 [nv001:~] hugh% ls -al /mount/company_users total 40 drwxrwxrwx 26 hugh wheel 840 27 Jan 19:09 . drwxr-xr-x 6 admin admin 204 19 Dec 18:36 .. drwx------+ 128 hugh staff 4308 27 Feb 23:36 hugh drwx------+ 26 matt staff 840 4 Dec 14:14 matt [nv001:~] hugh% So Matt's home directory is accessible to him. The only machine that I can successfully switch users at the moment is the server that the user directories are stored on, where /mount/company_users is actually just a symlink to /Volumes/data/company_users Thanks

• Is there a setting in Exchange Server 2007 that we can set to make these headers propogate and be received by a POP/IMAP client?

  When using EWS Managed API to send Email via Exchange Server 2007. I noticed that MAPI clients like MS Outlook display all custom headers. But when I use POP3/IMAP clients like MS Outlook Express. I have noticed that these custom headers do not display in the message opened from MS Outlook Express. Is there a setting in Exchange Server 2007 that we can set to make these custom headers propagate and be received by a POP/IMAP client? Also why do custom headers in example below display up in lower case in MAPI clients like MS Outlook? But surprisingly if we use SMTPClient class to send email then these headers display as sent with Case Sensitive letters. eg. Header. • Write access from a Windows client via a ZFS SMB, to a file created on the host in OpenIndiana

  I've got an OpenIndiana server running ZFS that is shared using a nobody user and group. I don't fully understand Solaris ACL permissions, but I do know Linux style permissions. The client is Windows 8 and the server is OpenIndiana is oi_148. I'm failing to work out how to make write permission work correctly for the Windows client. It is able to make new files, but can not modify files created by the shell in OpenIndiana. When a file ("local file") is created locally as the user nobody in bash, and another file ("smb file") created remotely via SMB (as nobody also), they are quite different in permissions: # ls -V -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody nobody 0 Dec 2 12:24 local file owner@:rw-p--aARWcCos:-------:allow group@:r-----a-R-c--s:-------:allow everyone@:r-----a-R-c--s:-------:allow -rwx------+ 1 nobody nobody 0 Dec 2 12:24 smb file user:nobody:rwxpdDaARWcCos:-------:allow group:2147483648:rwxpdDaARWcCos:-------:allow In bash, I'm able to write to smb file, but vice versa, the Windows client is not able to write to local file. This is confusing to me because it appears that it should allow the SMB client to write to local file, because nobody is the owner and it has a w in the ACL. The sharesmb setting is is fairly boring, although I'm hoping there can something to set in here similar to a umask: sharesmb name=shared,guestok=true How can I make these two work together and have a symmetrical permission system, where both SMB and the local user produce the same permissions? Is there some sort of ACL that can set at the root of the file system to allow all files to be created in a similar manner?

• Sendmail in Nexenta core 3.0.1

  I'm trying to setup sendmail in Nexenta core 3.0.1 (Solaris based OS). All I want is to be able to send emails from that host - like notifications about failures, cron jobs output etc. Initially Nexenta core doesn't have sendmail so here is what I've done: apt-get install sunwsndmu Now there is a sendmail in /usr/sbin/sendmail. When I try to send email from command line: $mail maxim test . How do I do that in Nexenta? svcs -a | grep sendmail doesn't return anything and # svcadm enable sendmail svcadm: Pattern 'sendmail' doesn't match any instances I'm not married to sendmail so if there are easier ways to achieve y goal I'm open to suggestions as well. • xampp apache on windows 7 returns http header only

  i am having issues with xampp running on windows 7 RC32 i type in a localhost and get a header back only, no page content somedays it works fine, other days i can't get it to work after multiple attempts, reboot or otherwise the request doesn't even get put into the acccess log which seems unusual here is the log file at startup incase that helps any ideas ?? • Multiple PHP SAPI configuration

  I'm trying to build PHP for use as an apache shared module --with-apxs2 but also with the 'php-cgi' binary (fastcgi) on Mac OSX 10.6. I'm using this ./configure : /configure --prefix=/usr/local/PHP \ --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs \ --disable-ipv6 \ --enable-cgi \ --with-curl \ --with-mysqli=/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql_config \ --with-openssl=/usr \ --enable-ftp \ --enable-shared \ --enable-soap \ --enable-sockets \ --enable-zip \ --with-zlib-dir It builds the apache php5.so module just fine, but in /usr/local/PHP/bin, there is no php-cgi file. If I build it without the --with-apxs2 option (and indeed, I don't even need the --enable-cgi option) the php-cgi file gets built with no problems. Background on my setup: PHP 5.3.4, Apache 2.2.14, Mac OSX 10.6, Tomcat with JavaBridge (which is why I need the php-cgi file) Without the apxs2 option, /usr/local/php/bin/php -v produces: PHP 5.3.4 (cli) (built: Dec 21 2010 21:35:14) Copyright (c) 1997-2010 The PHP Group Zend Engine v2.3.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2010 Zend Technologies and /usr/local/php/bin/php-cgi -v produces: PHP 5.3.4 (cgi-fcgi) (built: Dec 21 2010 21:35:12) Copyright (c) 1997-2010 The PHP Group Zend Engine v2.3.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2010 Zend Technologies My question is, what am I not understanding with php SAPIs that won't allow the building of the two modules at the same time? • Apache logging issues

  I'm trying to parse apache log files, but I'm finding some strange results and I'm not sure what they mean. Hopefully someone can provide some insight. (all of the IP addresses were altered. none actually start with 192, I didn't figure the search engines mattered though.) In the first example, multiple ip addresses are showing up in the host field: 192.249.71.25 - - [04/Aug/2009:04:21:44 -0500] "GET /publications/example.pdf HTTP/1.1" 200 2738 192.0.100.93, 192.20.31.86 - - [04/Aug/2009:04:21:22 -0500] "GET /docs/another.pdf HTTP/1.0" 206 371469 What causes this? Does it have to do with proxy servers? Is there a way to have Apache only log one? In the second example, a bunch of information is just completely missing!
