    This Query is giving me an error of #1054 - Unknown column 'totalamount' in 'where clause' SELECT (amount1 + amount2) as totalamount FROM `Donation` WHERE totalamount > 1000 I know i can resolve this error by using group by clause and replace my where condition with having clause. But is there any other solution beside using having clause. If group by is the only solution then I want to know why I have to use group by clause even I havent use any aggregate function thanks.

  • Compilation hangs for a class with field double d = 2.2250738585072012e-308

    I have come across an interesting situation. A coworker committed some changes, which would not compile on my machine neither from the IDE (Eclipse) nor from a command line (Maven). The problem manifested in the compilation process taking 100% CPU and only killing the process would help to stop it. After some analysis the cause of the problem was located and resolved. It turned out be a line "double d = 2.2250738585072012e-308" (without semicolon at the end) in one of the interfaces. The following snipped duplicates it. public class WeirdCompilationIssue { double d = 2.2250738585072012e-308 } Why would compiler hang? A language edge case?

    I'm wanting to allow users to enter HTML in only a single textbox. I understand it's possible to change ValidateRequest in the Page directive to false in order to remove protection. I'm guessing that this allows HTML to be entered in any textbox on the page. Is there anyway to apply ValidateRequest=False on only a single control? Thanks for any help.

    I have a table of over 1 million test score records that basically have a unique score_ID, a subject_ID and a score given by a person. The score range for most subjects is 0-3, but some have a range of 0-4. There are about 25 possible subjects. I need to produce a score distribution report which looks like: subject_ID 0 1 2 3 4 ---------- --- --- --- --- --- 1 967 576 856 234 2 576 947 847 987 324 . . So it groups the data by subject_ID, then shows how many times a specific score value was given within that subject. Any SQL pointers to generate this would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, I have a table similar to this: LogId RefId Entered ================================== 1 1 2010-12-01 2 1 2010-12-04 3 2 2010-12-01 4 2 2010-12-06 5 3 2010-12-01 6 1 2010-12-10 7 3 2010-12-05 8 4 2010-12-01 Here, LogId is unique; For each RefId, there are multiple entries with timestamp. What I want to extract is LogId for each latest RefId. I tried solutions from this link:http://stackoverflow.com/questions/121387/sql-fetch-the-row-which-has-the-max-value-for-a-column.     My component will recieve a pdf file as a filestream from which I will need to create a file. For testing purposes I am trying to read a file using the filestream object and recreate it at a different location. But the recreated file is created blank. the recreated file has the same number of pages though...   • Compare system date with a date field in SQL

    I am trying to compare a date record in SQL Server with the system date. In my example the user first register with his name and date of birth which are then stored in the database. The user than logs into the web application using his name only. After logging in, his name is shown on the side where it says "Welcome "player name" using Sessions. What I am trying to show in addition to his name is a message saying "happy birthday" if his date of birth matches the system date. I have tried working with System.DateTime.Now, but what I think is that it is also comparing the year, and what I really want is the day and the month only. I would really appreciate any suggestion or help.   • Cannot display converted value inside xml field

    PS: My bad, there was not an error. I forgot to upload the latest version to the server... I have multimedias and images table. I save images in multimedias table with their images table id numbers. Then whenever I need image's url, with a simple function I get it from images table. The problem I am having is when I try to display image's url inside ImageURL, it just does not happen. The exception generated is "Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object." The process I use is as such: aspnet_User user() = new aspnet_User(); aspnet_user.childTable = new childTable(); .. set some properties user.Insert() -> my custom method ... @ my custom method using (mycontext dc = new context() ) { user.childTable.ID = (Guid)myNewlyCreatedGuid; } The exception occurs on the assignment childTable.set_UserId().

    I have the following base and derived (partial, for sake of brevity) classes: class Base { public abstract int[] someArray { get; } } class Derived : Base { private readonly static int[] _someArray = new int[] { 1,2,3,4 }; public override int[] someArray { get { return _someArray; } } } What I would like now, is put the new int[] { 1,2,3,4 } in the return part of the getter. But, that would create a new array every time the getter is called. Is it possible to directly return some kind of object, which stays the same for all objects of class Derived ? Something along the lines of (I know this is invalid C#): get { return (int[]) { 1, 2, 3, 4 }; }

  • Duplicate Blob field with foreach

    I have some fields (blob) where I have uploaded some images. The images display correctly and I can open it without problem in Photoshop for example. I created a button where user can duplicate the product and everything works fine, but when it comes to duplicate the image entry I got some errors, like 1064 and others ones that I can't remember cause I am working 3 days inside this. Because de original product have 3 or more images I select then and gave an foreach. What I notice when a print de blob is that in the end it eats the next array, like if don't have an end. In other words, the next item got inside that utf-8 character in the print. That gave me some clue. The next approach was to save it in somewhere, and reupload it. The problem is that only the first one works. When I download the image saved, it opens normally so, it is not a saving in disk problem. When I gave a print in the $result, the same happens, is like the image is hungry and ate the next one. Here is the code. Notice = I created the [$count] to see if was not an rewrite in array error.   • Hacking "Contact Form 7" code to Add A "Referred By" field

    I've got about 6 subdomains that have a "contact us" link and I'm sending all these links to a single form that uses "Contact Form 7". I add ?from=site-name to each of the links so that I can set a $referredFrom variable in the contact form. The only two things I'm missing are (1) the ability to insert this referredFrom variable into the email that I get whenever someone submits the form and (2) The ability to redirect the user back to the site they came from (stored in $referredFrom) Any ideas? I want to know if a user has changed any value in these (to know if I need to save to db) One way I could think of doing this are in the 'on chg' event handlers and set bool. But if a user changes the value, in say a combobox, then changes back to the original this would still be seen as a change. Are there other alternatives? (note the project is not set up as MVVM) Thanks

    So I have this table of book orders, it contains 2 columns, one is the order ID(primary key) and another is the ID of the book that the customer ordered. For example: | OrderID | BookID | | 0001 | B002 | | 0002 | B005 | | 0003 | B002 | | 0004 | B003 | | 0005 | B005 | | 0006 | B002 | | 0007 | B002 | What I want is to get the IDs of the books that got 2 or more purchases/orders, for example if I run the SQL query against the above data, I would get this as the result: | BookID | | B002 | | B005 | I don't know if this can be archived in SQL or I have to built a simpler statement and repetitive run the query against all the records in another language. I need some help and thanks for reading my question.
