• Activating "pointer-events:none" only on section of image that overlaps

  I'm using pointer-events:none; on the main photograph at the top of my site http://www.onedirection.net/, to allow the user to select the navigation behind the image. However, I'd like to let the user click on each member of the band to go to a separate page, but ONLY for the parts of the image that don't overlap into the navigation. I'm a bit stuck with this. Can it be done? I was thinking of using an image map, but can't get it working without the navigation becoming "less clickable".

I do not want to use javascript, I need the iamge at server side. Please, do not simply post links to the API documentation, but preferably the url itself.   Hi can anyone help me with a problem please. I am not looking for anybody to write code for me but just give me a few pointers. I want to to put a frame or border around an image in actionscript3. I want to use an image that is considerably bigger than the border. the effect would be that the image would move around but only show what is inside the border. similar to looking through a keyhole ?? my best effort was to do a reverse mask, where the mask did not move but without success. If anyone has any idea's I would be very grateful Thanks

• Image animation stops on minimizing and restoring

  I have a .NET WinForms application with an animated GIF in a PictureBox. It's a loading animation, shown while a BackgroundWorker does some processing in another thread. I load the image by setting the Image property and it animates on its own. All is fine until I minimize and restore the application. At which point, the image stops animating and just displays whatever frame it was last on. Note that: The background thread still runs fine and none of the "business" of the application is affected. Subsequently-displayed animated GIFs do work fine (unless the application is minimized again). Does anyone know what causes this problem? Any workarounds?

• Best way to create Default.png image for iPhone app

  Originally I though I'll just take a screenshot of my app on the iPhone then tweak it in Photoshop. The images should be 480 x 320 according to Apple doc, and the dimensions of my screenshot are 480 x 320. But, the screenshot contains notification area (where reception bars, battery life, etc. are displayed) So, if I chop that part off my image will be a bit shorter and not 480px high. What do I do? Submit a shorter image? Stretch it up so it's 480px but without the notification bar? Submit it with the notification bar in the image? How did you create your Default.png?

  im running on version 1.3.2.1 but on my client's server they had magento 1.3.0 so my previous code to display images for my local copy: echo $this->helper('catalog/image')->init($_product)->resize(163, 100); does not work on the client's installation looking at the results returned by their magento, ver 1.3.0 actually returns a url although it points to the skin's media folder is there a way to get the absolute image path for the image? or should i make changes somewhere else that would tell magento that the media directory should be on the root?

  I have seen a lot of posts about this, and it seems like the code below should work. I have created an SD Card image and added it to the emulator (and that works fine). Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_PICK); intent.setType("image/*"); //intent.setAction(Intent.ACTION_GET_CONTENT); startActivityForResult(intent, 1); It does launch and allow selection of images, but when I click on an image, everything exits and the emulator returns to the home screen, not the back to my app. My onActivityResult is never called either. What am I missing?

• WMF image data validation?

  There is an image capturing device which gives its output in wmf. This output is stored in the database directly. We have cases where at times some of these images do not appear on a web page in IE. But if we right click on the page we are able to save the image on to the hard disk; meaning the image does exist on the page, but does not appear visible. I think this is because of some file corruption issue, but I don't know how to resolve it. We are however able to view such files using MS Picture Viewer (desktop app). Is there anyway we can detect such problematic files?

  Hi, I have an image which is 80px X 50 px, and I need to place that in one of the child of a FrameLayout, how can I specific the layout_width and layout_height of a Framelayout which fits an image without scaling it? I know there is a layout_height="wrap_content" layout_wight="wrap_content" for FrameLayout, but I can't use it, since that FrameLayout has other children. So I would like to hard code the FrameLayout width/height to match the dimension of the image? Should I use layout_width="80px" or layout_width="80dip"? Thank you.

  Looking for a (jQuery) video/image gallery to implement on my website, I've found many freely available option. However, I need one that, when in "autoplay" mode and gets to a video file, automatically plays an entire file, and only then moves on to the next image/video. Similar to what Picasaweb are doing when you ask to autoplay an online gallery of your images/videos. I have found, for example, this plugin: http://www.yoxigen.com/yoxview/. Notice that images 6 & 8 are actually video feeds, but when in autoplay mode, are treated just like any other image, i.e. - displayed for a few seconds then moves on to the next file... not what I need.   How does one provide a direct URL for an image file (JPEG) that is secure? For example, if a PHP script writes uploaded images to directory http://www.somehost.com/images, is it okay to provide http://www.somehost.com/images/someimage.jpg as the URL, or is there a more secure way to do this? Should I look into something like the permalink feature that is a part of Wordpress? I am not sure if that is related. The main reason I ask is that I have a custom PHP/MySQL CMS for managing images. I would like for the client to be able to copy a link to the image they want and then include it in a TinyMCE text editor for inserting the image in their website. Thanks!

  Hello I build a script that does image uploading and resizing and it all works well, but how can I get the URL from image afterwards? I don't want my Image Source in HTML be like "../img/cat/1.png/" I want it to be like "http://MyIP/img/cat/1.png" I understand that I can just make a variable like $myHost = "http://blabla.com"; and add strip the ".." at the beginning but then it's not so good if I want to use it on other site because I need to replace this all the time. Maybe there is any other way?

• Permission denied after image upload

  I've got a image upload script that works on my Apache on IIS development server, but on the Apache Lunix live server, although the images are uploaded correctly and the MySQL database is updated correctly, I can't view the images. Viewing the HTML source, checking both the FTP files and the database values, all look OK. But the image doesn't show, just the white box with the red cross in the corner. If I try to copy the shortcut of the image and open it in a seperate window, I get the following: I'm not sure what to try next, it seems strange that the files/database/source look good but it just won't show! I've tried both $HTTP_POST_FILES and $_FILES to upload the images, but both have the same result. If anyone has any ideas, please help!

  I have a WCF restful service that I'm trying to upload an image to. I have a very basic metod that accepts a stream as it's only parameter and is defined in the contract as: [OperationContract] [WebInvoke(UriTemplate = "ReviewImage", BodyStyle = WebMessageBodyStyle.Bare, Method = "POST")] ReviewImage UploadImage(Stream data); I'm actually consuming this service from flash (which is fairly inconsequntial) which selects a file from the file system and uploads it through the service url. It all works seems to work, adding a breakpoint to the UploadImage method breaks as expected. If I wanted to save this file back to disk, is it just a case of reading this Stream object into a FileStream object that creates the file somewhere? A bit like the this? When i do actually do this the file can not be opened as an image. I'm sure i'm missing a key piece of knowledge here. Does my stream actually contain just the image bytes or does it contain more than that?
