  • Flash Media Server dynamic file naming

    - by flying_tiger
    I'm trying to figure out most efficient/safe way to name recorded streams on FMS. The case is to get listing of recorded streams from the server (eg. rec_001, rec_002...) and dynamically add rec_003 filename to the new stream that is being recorded. I'm thinking about either using FMS File Object and put everything in array of files every time I start recording procedure or to create XML file that would serve as a database of file names. I'm searching for a solution efficient for MULTIPLE connections at a time and large amount of files. Which one of presented would be the best for this purpose? Or do you have any better suggestions of solving this problem?

  • Dynamic allocating of const member structures

    - by Willy
    I've got class which is using plain-only-data struct with const variables and I'm not sure, if I'm allocating these structures in a proper way. It looks more or less like: #include <cstdlib> #include <iostream> using std::cout; using std::endl; struct some_const_struct { const int arg1; const int arg2; }; class which_is_using_above_struct { public: some_const_struct* m_member; const some_const_struct* const m_const_member; public: const some_const_struct& get_member() const { return *m_member; } const some_const_struct& get_const_member() const { return *m_const_member; } void set_member(const int a, const int b) { if(m_member != NULL) { delete m_member; m_member = NULL; } m_member = new some_const_struct((some_const_struct){a, b}); } explicit which_is_using_above_struct(const int a, const int b) : m_const_member(new some_const_struct((const some_const_struct){a, b})) { m_member = NULL; } ~which_is_using_above_struct() { if(m_member != NULL) { delete m_member; } if(m_const_member != NULL) { delete m_const_member; } } }; int main() { which_is_using_above_struct c(1, 2); c.set_member(3, 4); cout << "m_member.arg1 = " << c.get_member().arg1 << endl; cout << "m_member.arg2 = " << c.get_member().arg2 << endl; cout << "m_const_member.arg1 = " << c.get_const_member().arg1 << endl; cout << "m_const_member.arg2 = " << c.get_const_member().arg2 << endl; return 0; } I'm just not quite sure if the statement: m_member = new some_const_struct((some_const_struct){a, b}); doesn't produce unnessesary use of some_const_struct's copy constructor, ergo allocating that struct twice. What do you think? And is it reasonable to make that struct's members const? (they're not supposed to change in their lifetime at all)

  • Dynamic creation of a pointer function in c++

    - by Liberalkid
    I was working on my advanced calculus homework today and we're doing some iteration methods along the lines of newton's method to find solutions to things like x^2=2. It got me thinking that I could write a function that would take two function pointers, one to the function itself and one to the derivative and automate the process. This wouldn't be too challenging, then I started thinking could I have the user input a function and parse that input (yes I can do that). But can I then dynamically create a pointer to a one-variable function in c++. For instance if x^2+x, can I make a function double function(double x){ return x*x+x;} during run-time. Is this remotely feasible, or is it along the lines of self-modifying code?

  • jQuery dynamic validation

    - by kpomka
    Hi there Im trying to do a few things with jQuery validation plugin and seems stuck on one place. Here is some code: <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function(){ $('#myform').validate(); $('#email').rules('add', {required: true, messages: {required: 'email is required'}} ); $('#phone').rules('add', {required: true, messages: {required: 'phone is required'}} ); $('#validate').click(function(){ $('#result').text($('#myform').validate().form()); return false; }); }); </script> <form id="myform"> <div>email:<input type="text" id="email" /></div> <div>phone:<input type="text" id="phone" /></div> <div id="result"></div> <input id="valdate" type="image" src="images/submit.png" /> </form> As a result i keep getting a wrong error message. If i click on submit button 'phone is required' is shown near email input and 'email is required' isnt shown at all. Whats wrong with this code ?

  • PHP Pass Dynamic Array name to function

    - by Brad
    How do I pass an array key to a function to pull up the right key's data? // The array <?php $var['TEST1'] = Array ( 'Description' => 'This is a Description', 'Version' => '1.11', 'fields' => Array( 'ID' => array( 'type' => 'int', 'length' =>'11', 'misc' =>'auto_increment' ), 'DATA' => array( 'type' => 'varchar', ' length' => '255' ) ); $var['TEST2'] = Array ( 'Description' =? 'This is the 2nd Description', 'Version' => '2.1', 'fields' => Array( 'ID' => array( 'type' => 'int', 'length' =>'11', 'misc' =>'auto_increment' ), 'DATA' => array( 'type' => 'varchar', ' length' => '255' ) ) // The function <?php $obj = 'TEST1'; print_r($schema[$obj]); // <-- Fives me output.   • contentscript, dynamic created iframe, postmessage

    - by thefoyer
    I'm attempting to inject an iframe from a content script. From the content script, post a message to the iframe, without much success. This is the closest I have got. No errors/warnings in the console but it doesn't work (alert test). contentscript: var iframe = document.createElement("iframe"); iframe.setAttribute("src", "https://www.com/iframe.php"); iframe.id = "iframe01"; document.getElementsByTagName("body")[0].appendChild(iframe); //then I inject this "web_accessible_resources" script var script = document.createElement("script"); script.type = "text/javascript"; script.src = chrome.extension.getURL("postMessage.js"); document.getElementsByTagName("head")[0].appendChild(script); postMessage.js window.postMessage({msg: "test"}, "*"); I've also tried top.postMessage({msg: "test"}, "*"); And var iframe = document.getElementById('iframe01'); iframe.contentWindow.postMessage({msg: "test"}, "*"); EDIT: I tried to make sure the iframe was loaded before postMessage, even if I put an alert there, it would alert telling me the iframe was loaded. var iframe = document.getElementById('iframe01'); if (ifrm_prsto.contentWindow.document) //do postMessage EDIT2: I did get it to work by moving the iframe from the contentscript to the inject.js script. Wasn't totally ideal but I do have it working now, I guess. iframe.php window.addEventListener("message", function(e) {alert("test");}); I am however able to do the reverse, talk to the parent script from the iframe.

  • Best ways to construct Dynamic Search Conditions for Sql

    - by CoolBeans
    I have always wondered what's the best way to achieve this task. In most web based applications you have to provide search options on many different criteria. Based on what criteria is chosen behind the scene you modify your SQL. Generally, this is how I tend to go about it:- Have a base SQL template. In the base template have conditions like this WHERE [#PRE_COND1] AND [#PRE_COND2] .. so on and so forth. So an example SQL might look something like SELECT NAME,AGE FROM PERSONS [,#TABLE2] [,#TABLE3] WHERE [#PRE_COND1] AND [#PRE_COND2] ORDER BY [#ORD_COND1] AND [#ORD_COND2] etc. During run time after figuring out the all the search criteria user has entered, I replace the [#PRE_COND1]s and [#ORD_COND1]s with the appropriate SQLs and then execute the query. I personally do not like this brute force method. However, I never came across a better approach either. How do you accomplish such tasks generally given you are either using native JDBC or Spring JDBC? It is almost like I need a C MACRO like functionality in Java to do this.

  • Drawing using Dynamic Array and Buffer Object

    - by user1905910
    I have a problem when creating the vertex array and the indices array. I don't know what really is the problem with the code, but I guess is something with the type of the arrays, can someone please give me a light on this? #define GL_GLEXT_PROTOTYPES #include<GL/glut.h> #include<iostream> using namespace std; #define BUFFER_OFFSET(offset) ((GLfloat*) NULL + offset) const GLuint numDiv = 2; const GLuint numVerts = 9; GLuint VAO; void display(void) { enum vertex {VERTICES, INDICES, NUM_BUFFERS}; GLuint * buffers = new GLuint[NUM_BUFFERS]; GLfloat (*squareVerts)[2] = new GLfloat[numVerts][2]; GLubyte * indices = new GLubyte[numDiv*numDiv*4]; GLuint delta = 80/numDiv; for(GLuint i = 0; i < numVerts; i++) { squareVerts[i][1] = (i/(numDiv+1))*delta; squareVerts[i][0] = (i%(numDiv+1))*delta; } for(GLuint i=0; i < numDiv; i++){ for(GLuint j=0; j < numDiv; j++){ //cada iteracao gera 4 pontos #define NUM_VERT(ii,jj) ((ii)*(numDiv+1)+(jj)) #define INDICE(ii,jj) (4*((ii)*numDiv+(jj))) indices[INDICE(i,j)] = NUM_VERT(i,j); indices[INDICE(i,j)+1] = NUM_VERT(i,j+1); indices[INDICE(i,j)+2] = NUM_VERT(i+1,j+1); indices[INDICE(i,j)+3] = NUM_VERT(i+1,j); } } glGenVertexArrays(1, &VAO); glBindVertexArray(VAO); glGenBuffers(NUM_BUFFERS, buffers); glBindBuffer(GL_ARRAY_BUFFER, buffers[VERTICES]); glBufferData(GL_ARRAY_BUFFER, sizeof(squareVerts), squareVerts, GL_STATIC_DRAW); glVertexPointer(2, GL_FLOAT, 0, BUFFER_OFFSET(0)); glEnableClientState(GL_VERTEX_ARRAY); glBindBuffer(GL_ELEMENT_ARRAY_BUFFER, buffers[INDICES]); glBufferData(GL_ELEMENT_ARRAY_BUFFER, sizeof(indices), indices, GL_STATIC_DRAW); glClear(GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT); glColor3f(1.0,1.0,1.0); glDrawElements(GL_POINTS, 16, GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, BUFFER_OFFSET(0)); glutSwapBuffers(); } void init() { glClearColor(0.0, 0.0, 0.0, 0.0); gluOrtho2D((GLdouble) -1.0, (GLdouble) 90.0, (GLdouble) -1.0, (GLdouble) 90.0); } int main(int argv, char** argc) { glutInit(&argv, argc); glutInitDisplayMode(GLUT_RGB | GLUT_DOUBLE); glutInitWindowSize(500,500); glutInitWindowPosition(100,100); glutCreateWindow("myCode.cpp"); init(); glutDisplayFunc(display); glutMainLoop(); return 0; } Edit: The problem here is that drawing don't work at all. But I don't get any error, this just don't display what I want to display. Even if I put the code that make the vertices and put them in the buffers in a diferent function, this don't work. I just tried to do this: void display(void) { glBindVertexArray(VAO); glClear(GL_COLOR_BUFFER_BIT); glColor3f(1.0,1.0,1.0); glDrawElements(GL_POINTS, 16, GL_UNSIGNED_BYTE, BUFFER_OFFSET(0)); glutSwapBuffers(); } and I placed the rest of the code in display in another function that is called on the start of the program. But the problem still

  • Creating a Dynamic calendar in Silverlight

    - by Tom
    I am attempting to create a long range calendar that dynamically loads (and unloads) event data as the user scrolls left or right through time. I'm really struggling to figure out how to lay the basic framework of the UI out and how to dynamically build the interface as the user scrolls by clicking and dragging the mouse in the view area. See the image below for a basic diagram of the intent. Each slice would have potentially multiple rectangles in it for events that occurred on that day (slice). I would like each slice to be a canvas to allow me to position those rectangles appropriately. There are a few problems that I am not yet sure how to tackle but this is the first big one that I've been mulling over for a while and can't quite wrap my head around: I know how to dynamically create controls but how would I go about adding things to one end of the scrollable content while removing things from the other depending on the way the user is scrolling? Any guidance in the right direction would be much appreciated! Thanks.

  • Dynamic swappable Data Access Layer

    - by Andy
    I'm writing a data driven WPF client. The client will typically pull data from a WCF service, which queries a SQL db, but I'd like the option to pull the data directly from SQL or other arbitrary data sources. I've come up with this design and would like to hear your opinion on whether it is the best design. First, we have some data object we'd like to extract from SQL. // The Data Object with a single property public class Customer { private string m_Name = string.Empty; public string Name { get { return m_Name; } set { m_Name = value;} } } Then I plan on using an interface which all data access layers should implement. Suppose one could also use an abstract class. Thoughts? // The interface with a single method interface ICustomerFacade { List<Customer> GetAll(); } One can create a SQL implementation. // Sql Implementation public class SqlCustomrFacade : ICustomerFacade { public List<Customer> GetAll() { // Query SQL db and return something useful // ... return new List<Customer>(); } } We can also create a WCF implementation. The problem with WCF is is that it doesn't use the same data object. It creates its own local version, so we would have to copy the details over somehow. I suppose one could use reflection to copy the values of similar fields across. Thoughts? // Wcf Implementation public class WcfCustomrFacade : ICustomerFacade { public List<Customer> GetAll() { // Get date from the Wcf Service (not defined here) List<WcfService.Customer> wcfCustomers = wcfService.GetAllCustomers(); // The list we're going to return List<Customer> customers = new List<Customer>(); // This is horrible foreach(WcfService.Customer wcfCustomer in wcfCustomers) { Customer customer = new Customer(); customer.Name = wcfCustomer.Name; customers.Add(customer); } return customers; } } I also plan on using a factory to decide which facade to use. // Factory pattern public class FacadeFactory() { public static ICustomerFacade CreateCustomerFacade() { // Determine the facade to use if (ConfigurationManager.AppSettings["DAL"] == "Sql") return new SqlCustomrFacade(); else return new WcfCustomrFacade(); } } This is how the DAL would typically be used. // Test application public class MyApp { public static void Main() { ICustomerFacade cf = FacadeFactory.CreateCustomerFacade(); cf.GetAll(); } } I appreciate your thoughts and time.

  • Dynamic control click event not firing properly

    - by Wil
    I'm creating a next/previous function for my repeater using pageddatasource. I added the link button control dynamically in my oninit using the following code. LinkButton lnkNext = new LinkButton(); lnkNext.Text = "Next"; lnkNext.Click += new EventHandler(NextPage); if (currentPage != objPagedDataSource.PageCount) { pnlMain.Controls.Add(lnkNext); } So in my initial page_load, the next link comes up fine. There are 5 pages in my objPagedDataSource. currentPage variable is 1. The "NextPage" event handler looks like this public void NextPage(object sender, EventArgs e) { if (HttpContext.Current.Request.Cookies["PageNum"] == null) { HttpCookie cookie = new HttpCookie("PageNum"); cookie.Value = "1"; } else { HttpCookie cookie = HttpContext.Current.Request.Cookies["PageNum"]; cookie.Value = (Convert.ToInt32(cookie.Value) + 1).ToString(); } this.BindRepeater(); } So I am incrementing the cookie I am using to track the page number and then rebinding the repeater. Here is the main issue. The first time I click Next, it works, it goes to Page 2 without any problems. When on Page 2, I click Next, it goes back to Page 1. Seems like the Next event is not wiring up properly. Not sure why, any ideas?

  • SkinId and Dynamic Control

  • C++ Dynamic object construction

    - by Rajesh Subramanian
    I have a base class, class Msg { ParseMsg() { ParseMsgData(); ParseTrailer(); } virtual void ParseMsgData() = 0; ParseTrailer(); }; and derived classes, class InitiateMsg { void ParseMsgData() { ... } }; class ReadOperationMsg { void ParseMsgData() { ... } }; class WriteOperationMsg { void ParseMsgData() { ... } }; and the scenario is below, void UsageFunction(string data) { Msg* msg = ParseHeader(data); ParseMsg } Msg* ParseHeader(string data) { Msg *msg = NULL; .... switch() { case 1: msg = new InitiateMsg(); break; case 2: msg = new ReadOperationMsg{(); break; case 3: msg = new WriteOperationMsg{(); break; .... } return msg; } based on the data ParseHeader method will decide which object has to be created, So I have implemented ParseHeader function outside the class where I am using. How can I make the ParseHeader function inside the Msg class and then use it? In C# the same is achieved by defining ParseHeader method as static with in class and use it from outside,

What am I doing wrong? I tried the same code on Windows and it works well but on Linux it crashes.

  • jQuery Scrollable Dynamic

    Hi, I am doing a site where I need to change dynamically the amount of items in one slide depending on the resolution. I'm using the Jquery Tools scrollable For better understanding, here is the basic markup <div class="scrollable"> <!-- root element for the items --> <div class="items"> <!-- 1-5 --> <div> <img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/143/321464099_a7cfcb95cf_t.jpg" /> <img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3089/2796719087_c3ee89a730_t.jpg" /> <img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/79/244441862_08ec9b6b49_t.jpg" /> <img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/28/66523124_b468cf4978_t.jpg" /> <img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/164/399223606_b875ddf797_t.jpg" /> </div> <!-- 5-10 --> <div> <img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/163/399223609_db47d35b7c_t.jpg" /> <img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/135/321464104_c010dbf34c_t.jpg" /> <img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/40/117346184_9760f3aabc_t.jpg" /> <img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/153/399232237_6928a527c1_t.jpg" /> <img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/50/117346182_1fded507fa_t.jpg" /> </div> <!-- 10-15 --> <div> <img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3629/3323896446_3b87a8bf75_t.jpg" /> <img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3023/3323897466_e61624f6de_t.jpg" /> <img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3650/3323058611_d35c894fab_t.jpg" /> <img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3635/3323893254_3183671257_t.jpg" /> <img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3624/3323893148_8318838fbd_t.jpg" /> </div> </div> </div> Ok and now I would like to set, that if I have a resolution bellow 1440, I would show only e.g. 3 images <div class="scrollable"> <!-- root element for the items --> <div class="items"> <!-- 1-3 --> <div> <img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/143/321464099_a7cfcb95cf_t.jpg" /> <img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3089/2796719087_c3ee89a730_t.jpg" /> <img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/79/244441862_08ec9b6b49_t.jpg" /> </div> <!-- 3-6 --> <div> <img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/163/399223609_db47d35b7c_t.jpg" /> <img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/135/321464104_c010dbf34c_t.jpg" /> <img src="http://farm1.static.flickr.com/40/117346184_9760f3aabc_t.jpg" /> </div> ..etc </div> </div> I know that I should use the screen.width(); function but how to slice and parse it depending on the resolution?   • Dynamic content in a Gridview

    - by mariki
    I have a gridview with couple of columns,I want to achieve the following: If user is NOT authorized display normal columns. If user IS authorized: set mouseover event for first column text and display some buttons (that are not available for NOT authorized users) in a second column when user hover over(using javascript) the first column. I am have 2 difficulties: The first one where and when should I create the buttons? I have 2 options, I can create those button on design time, in gridviews template and just set Visible value to false and then in codebehind set it to true if user is authorized. The second option would be creating this buttons dynamically in gridview_RowCreated event (or any other event) if user is authorized. The Second difficulty is setting the javascript event to show the buttons, the event should be added only if user is authorized! Note that event and buttons should have some kind of id match for Javascript function to know what should it hide/unhide when event is triggered. What should I do, what is the best practice? I know this is a long question, but please try to help :)

    Alright, I may just need a terminology update, but I have been playing in Magento and Joomla, and they do references like $mage = new Mage; $mage->block('blockname'); where class Mage through some process I am failing to figure out is calling: class blockname extends something{ } Don't quote me on that code, however I am looking to do something like that where I have a file that I can do $myscript-block('blockname'); and it will load and call the file with class blockname. I hope that is not too confusing, but any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
