  • Magento: Attribute always returns default value in catalog view, works fine in product view

    I've created a new Yes/No attribute for products. I've extended the Product model to do some custom logic and the custom functions are working everywhere. When I initially tried getting the custom attribute value, I ran into some issue. Magento wasn't loading it for me, so calls to $product-getMyAttributeName() did nothing. In the product views, I got it working with this additional function: public function getAttrVal($attr_name) { return $this->getResource()->getAttribute($attr_name)->getFrontend()->getValue($this); } So that worked great when viewing a product on the frontend. It would fetch the assigned value if set, or the default if not. When I view any Category (grid of all products in that category), the same exact code is being executed. But my getAttrVal() function always returns the default value, even if I've explicitly set this value for my product. I can't, for the life of me, figure out why the attribute loads correctly in the Product view but the Category view always grabs the default value, despite running the same exact code. Any thoughts?

    I'm trying to write some code that will take a value WeekNum, and add it to an array Week(1 To 51), and then associate a value from a Textbox TargDef. Once this has been added to the array, I want to look up the value of the array for the previous WeekNum and add it to a value ProdTarg.   • Is There a Better Way to Feed Different Parameters into Functions with If-Statements?

    I've been teaching myself Python for a little while now, and I've never programmed before. I just wrote a basic backup program that writes out the progress of each individual file while it is copying. I wrote a function that determines buffer size so that smaller files are copied with a smaller buffer, and bigger files are copied with a bigger buffer. In my Page_Load i am doing everything in if(!Page.IsPostBack) so there is no chance of updating TextBox value on postback in Page_Load. Where i could be wrong? how can i get updated value?

You may find the string slicing operation useful in getting substrings of string.

  • Use MySQL trigger to update another table when duplicate key found

    Been scratching my head on this one, hoping one of you kind people and direct me towards solving this problem. I have a mysql table of customers, it contains a lot of data, but for the purpose of this question, we only need to worry about 4 columns 'ID', 'Firstname', 'Lastname', 'Postcode' Problem is, the table contains a lot of duplicated customers. A new table is being created where each customer is unique and for us, we decide a unique customer is based on 'Firstname', 'Lastname' and 'Postcode' However, (this is the important bit) we need to ensure each new "unique" customer record also can be matched to the original multiple entries of that customer in the original table. I believe the best way to do this is to have a third table, that has 'NewUniqueID', 'OldCustomerID'. So we can search this table for 'NewUniqueID' = '123' and it would return multiple 'OldCustomerID' values where appropriate. I am hoping to make this work using a trigger and the on duplicate key syntax. So what would happen is as follows: An query is run taking the old customer table and inserting it in to the new unique table. (A standard Insert Select query) On duplicate key continue adding records, but add one entry in to the third table noting the 'NewUniqueID' that duped along with the 'OldCustomerID' of the record we were trying to insert. Hope this makes sense, my apologies if it isn't clear. I welcome and appreciate any thoughts on this one! Many thanks Jason

    Hi all, I have a textbox.The user will be entering entering a number in this box.The user should enter two digits followed by a period "." and another digit.It would look something like 22.3 or 00.5 or 01.2. If the textbox is not empty,I want to enforce a function which validates the value entered by the user(and gives them an alert if the value entered is not according to the format mentioned above) .This function needs to be triggered when the textbox loses its focus.I am not sure how to go ahead in writing this function as i am still new to this. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks in advance. p.s This function should be triggered each time there is a change in the value.Like suppose, the user enters a value 22, then when the textbox loses its focus,the javascript function should be triggered giving them an alert asking the user to change it to the accepted format which is 22.0.The function should be triggered again when the textbox loses its focus(after the change has been done).This time there would not be an alert since the user entered it in the right format.

  • Load PEM encoded private RSA key in Crypto++

    Often times, user will have PEM encoded RSA private keys. Crypto++ requires that these keys be in DER format to load. I've been asking people to manually convert their PEM files to DER beforehand using openssl like this: openssl pkcs8 -in in_file.pem -out out_file.der -topk8 -nocrypt -outform der That works fine, but some people don't understand how to do that nor do they want to. So I would like to convert PEM files to DER files automatically within the program. Is it as simple as striping the "-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE-----" and "-----END CERTIFICATE-----" from the PEM or is some other transformation required as well? I've been told that between those markers that it's just b64 encoded DER. Here's some code that demonstrates the issue: // load the private key CryptoPP::RSA::PrivateKey PK; CryptoPP::ByteQueue bytes; try { CryptoPP::FileSource File( rsa.c_str(), true, new CryptoPP::Base64Decoder() ); File.TransferTo( bytes ); bytes.MessageEnd(); // This line Causes BERDecodeError when a PEM encoded file is used PK.Load( bytes ); } catch ( CryptoPP::BERDecodeErr ) { // Convert PEM to DER and try to load the key again } I'd like to avoid making system calls to openssl and do the transformation entirely in Crypto++ so that users can provide either format and things "just work".     I want to invoke a command when ENTER is pressed in a TextBox. How can I restrict the command to only invoke when the ENTER key is pressed? I understand that with Expression Blend I can use Conditions but those seem to be restricted to elements and can't consider event arguments. I have also come across SLEX which offers its own InvokeCommandAction implementation that is built on top of the Systems.Windows.Interactivity implementation and can do what I need. Another consideration is to write my own trigger, but I'm hoping there's a way to do it without using external toolkits.

  • Handle BACK key event in child view

    In my app, users can tap on image thumbnails to see a full size version. When the thumbnail is tapped a bunch of new views are created in code (i.e. no XML), appended at the end of the view hierarchy and some scaling and rotating transitions happen, then the full size, high res version of the image is displayed. Tapping on the full size image reverses the transitions and removes the new views from the view hierarchy. I want users to also be able to press the BACK key to reverse the image transitions. However, I can't seem to catch the KeyEvent. I therefore find myself writing something like this: (swap! atom-name (fn [_] (identity new-value))) This works but seems pretty ugly and presumably incurs a performance penalty for constructing the anonymous closure. Is there a better way?

    Have a binary field and want to insert into this from a hex string: insert into binaryTable(binaryField) values(convert(varbinary(max), 0x0)) however when I run select the value is return with an extra 0 as 0x00 This extra 0 is causing a problem in another application, I dont want it. Interesting, is if I do a select on an existing value and it returns say 0x55 then inserting this same value using the above query will return a select of 0x055. How to stop the extra 0 being added?

    When creating my own class in Qt I would like my variables in the class to have a standard/default value if I haven't set them to anything. It would be perfect if this was possible to set in the h-file so I don't have to do it in each instance method of my class. You can see what I want to do in the code below. In the example myBool would have the value of false and myInt the value of 0 when the object have been created. Is this possible at all?
