• Internet Explorer and onMouseOver/onMouseOut

The div "ScriptContainer" sits in front of the whole thing and when the mouse enters or leaves the functions work exactly as they should. But IE8 places the text in front of everything and then the functions do not work as i would like them to. "ChangeBackcolourOFF" gets called every time the mouse enters the text, which sits in front of everything and "ChangeBackcolourON" gets called every time the mouse enters the "Scriptcontainer" from the text. So i either need to figure out how to force the text to be placed behind the "Scriptcontainer" or some other solutions. I appreciate you answers

  Recently I participated in a web project which has a huge large of images to handle and display on web page, we know that the width and height of images end users uploaded cannot be control easily and then they are hard to display. And right at this minute, I know we can create a DIV and use the image as its background image, this way is too complicated and not direct I don't want to take. So I's wondering whether there is a better way to display images with the fixed width and height without presentation distortion? Thanks.

  In this example I create three buttons 'one' 'two' 'three'. In JavaScript, variables inside for-loops seem to be 'static' in the C language sense. Is there some way to create separate variables for each click function, i.e. not using the same reference? • NO FBML is working in iframe in facebook using PHP (ie or ff or anywhere else!)

  I have tried for three days now and gotten nowhere on this.... I absolutely can not get any "fb:" code to render anything! I've tried the exact code in the sandbox and it works fine. I've read through every search result I could find and gotten nowhere... Any suggestions on how I can combine layout and functionality and still have a single ASP control we can drop in to pages? • Error in jquery attribute selector and IE6-7

  Hi, I'm trying to implement a JQuery script to process some areas inside an image map. I'm using $('area[shape="poly"]') as a selector to obtain the areas I'm interested in. It is working fine in IE8 and Firefox, but it is not selecting the elements in IE6 or IE7. This is a test page that shows this problem. • C++ Program Always Crashes While doing a std::string assign

  I have been trying to debug a crash in my application that crashes (i.e. asserts a * glibc detected free(): invalid pointer: 0x000000000070f0c0 **) while I'm trying to do a simple assign to a string. Note that I'm compiling on a linux system with gcc 4.2.4 with an optimization level set to -O2. With -O0 the application no longer crashes. E.g. std::string abc; abc = "testString"; but if I changed the code as follows it no longer crashes std::string abc("testString"); So again I scratched my head! But the interesting pattern was that the crash moved later on in the application, AGAIN at another string. I found it weird that the application was continuously crashing on a string assign. I even checked for ptr corruptions and came up empty handed. In addition to visual inspection of the code I also tried the following tools: Valgrind using both memcheck and exp-ptrcheck electric fence libsafe I compiled with -fstack-protector-all in gcc I tried MALLOC_CHECK_ set to 2 I ran my code through lint checks as well as cppcheck (to check for mistakes) And I stepped through the code using gdb So I tried a lot of stuff and still came up empty handed. So I was wondering if it could be something like a linker issue or a library issue of some sort that could be causing this problem. Are there any know issues with the std::string that make is susceptible to crashing in -O2 or maybe it has nothing to do with the optimization level? But the only pattern that I can see thus far in my problem is that it always seems to crash on a string and so I was wondering if anyone knew of any issues that my be causing this type of behavior. • Cross-Domain iframe communication

  I have an iframe being created on a page, and the page's domain is being explicitly set to 'xyz.com' but the iframe's domain is defaulting to 'dev.xyz.com', which is the actual domain i'm developing for. The problem is, when I try to access that iframe via iframe.contentWindow.document, it fails due to the difference in domain. I've tried setting the iframe's src to a file with document.domain = 'xyz.com' but that doesn't seem to be doing the trick... Any ideas?

• Reloading embed PDF in a DIV (empty Accrobat Reader error popup)

  Hello, I have a web application coded in C#/ASP.NET. The application basically exports a PDF file when the user click on Save. It then reloads a DIV, putting the EMBED (with the src pointing to the newly generated pdf file) in it. Sometimes the embed area just gets black and I get this window from Acrobat Reader: http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/3359/acreader.jpg. What does it mean? Has anyone ever see this?

I am using Encoder 3 to do the encoding set on microsoft smooth streaming for 720p with all the default settings.
