    - by thmsn
    Hi I have an application that works fine in my dev enviroment, but throws weird errors in the production enviroment, I checked the version of .net on my dev machine aswell as the production server , they both run 3.5.30729.01. The exception I get is a System.IO.FileNotFoundException. StackTrace: at System.Diagnostics.FileVersionInfo.GetVersionInfo(String fileName) at System.Configuration.ClientConfigPaths.SetNamesAndVersion(String applicationFilename, Assembly exeAssembly, Boolean isHttp) at System.Configuration.ClientConfigPaths..ctor(String exePath, Boolean includeUserConfig) at System.Configuration.ClientConfigPaths.GetPaths(String exePath, Boolean includeUserConfig) at System.Configuration.ClientConfigurationHost.get_ConfigPaths() at System.Configuration.ClientConfigurationHost.RequireCompleteInit(IInternalConfigRecord record) at System.Configuration.BaseConfigurationRecord.GetSectionRecursive(String configKey, Boolean getLkg, Boolean checkPermission, Boolean getRuntimeObject, Boolean requestIsHere, Object& result, Object& resultRuntimeObject) at System.Configuration.BaseConfigurationRecord.GetSection(String configKey) at System.Configuration.ClientConfigurationSystem.System.Configuration.Internal.IInternalConfigSystem.GetSection(String sectionName) at System.Configuration.ConfigurationManager.GetSection(String sectionName) at System.Configuration.PrivilegedConfigurationManager.GetSection(String sectionName) at System.DirectoryServices.SearchResultCollection.ResultsEnumerator..ctor(SearchResultCollection results, String parentUserName, String parentPassword, AuthenticationTypes parentAuthenticationType) at System.DirectoryServices.SearchResultCollection.GetEnumerator() at System.DirectoryServices.DirectorySearcher.FindOne() Yesterday the error just went away, and today the error is occuring again. I tried using reflector and it appears to have something to do with config files or user config files. any ideas?

  • Unable to get members of Universal Distribution List using Powershell

    - by PowerShellScripter
    I am trying to write a script to list out all members of a "Universal Distribution List" using Powershell. However I keep getting an empty result set back. When I run the following command against a "Global Distribution List" it works fine and I can see who belongs to it. dsquery group -name "SomeGroup" | dsget group -members -expand However as I mentioned when I run this against a "Universal Distribution List" I get no results. Can anyone help?

  • How to parse an XML string in TDI

    - by ongle
    I am new to TDI. I have a TDI assembly line that calls a web service (ibmdi.InvokeSoapWS) which returns the result as a string in the work attribute 'xmlString'. I then have an AttributeMap that attempts to parse the xml and extract a value (the node it seeks is a few nodes deep). var parser = system.getParser('ibmdi.SOAP'); var xmlString = work.getString('xmlString'); var entity = parser.parseRequest(xmlString); task.dump(entity); The trouble is, the parsed object does not contain an accurate representation of the XML. It contains only two attributes, the first is correctly the first node following the soap body (e.g., ns0:SomeNodeReply), the second being a node inside the first (e.g., ns0:DetailCount). And as far as I can determine, both attributes are just strings so I cannot recurse into the object graph. Below is a sample soap reply: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"> <SOAP-ENV:Body> <ns0:SomeNodeReply xmlns:ns0="http://xmlns.example.com/unique/default/namespace/1136581686664"> <ns0:Status> <ns0:StatusCD>000</ns0:StatusCD> <ns0:StatusDesc /> </ns0:Status> <ns0:DetailCount>1</ns0:DetailCount> <ns0:SomeDetail> <ns0:CodeA>Foo</ns0:CodeA> <ns0:CodeB>Bar</ns0:CodeB> </ns0:SomeDetail> </ns0:SomeNodeReply> </SOAP-ENV:Body> </SOAP-ENV:Envelope> And below is a sample dump of the parsed string: 19:03:23 CTGDIS003I *** Start dumping Entry 19:03:23 Operation: generic 19:03:23 Entry attributes: 19:03:23 SOAP_CALL (replace): 'ns0:SomeNodeReply' 19:03:23 ns0:DetailCount(replace): '1' 19:03:23 CTGDIS004I *** Finished dumping Entry All I really need to do is be able to parse out a value that may or may not be there, depending on the value of another node (e.g., DetailCount == 1, get CodeA otherwise return empty string). I am open to changing anything about how this works if I can extract the data into the work Entry.

  • File listing with ActiveX

    - by Studer
    I need to program a simple Windows Explorer that only lists all files inside a folder recursively. The only solution I found up to now is using an ActiveX controller. So, I installed Visual Studio 2010, but I don't know really how to use it to make an ActiveX. I tried to create a Class Library then add a Explorer module. It compiles, but I don't know what to do now. Is there an easier way to do this or am I missing something ?

  • Error HRESULT E_FAIL when creating Exchange mailbox (CDOEXM.IMailboxStore.CreateMailbox)

    - by Matt
    I am trying to automate the process of creating an Exchange Mailbox for AD users and am running into an issue. When calling the CreateMailbox method I am receiving the error "Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component". I have installed and referenced the Exchange Management Tools and am using impersonation for permissions. Here is the code: ActiveDs.IADsUser adUser = (ActiveDs.IADsUser)user.NativeObject; adUser.AccountDisabled = !Active; user.CommitChanges(); //Set Password user.Invoke("SetPassword", Password); user.CommitChanges(); //Create Mailbox IMailboxStore mailbox; mailbox = (IMailboxStore)adUser; mailbox.CreateMailbox("LDAP://CN=StandardUsers,CN=StandardUsers,CN=InformationStore,CN=xxxxx," + "CN=Servers,CN=First Administrative Group,CN=Administrative Groups," + "CN=xxxxx Main,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=xxxxx,DC=com"); user.CommitChanges();

  • Junctions or Virtual Directories for Web Applications?

    - by Kevin
    I see that junctions are a common way of referencing shared code in many projects. However, I have not seen them used in web applications before. Our team is exploring the possibility of abandoning virtual directories in favor of junctions to simplify our build process. My goal is to compile a list of pros and cons in order to make an informed decision regarding this change. Is it more appropriate to use junctions or virtual directories on web application projects? Environment is ASP.NET, IIS6/IIS7, VS.NET.

  • Check whether a folder is a local or a network resource in .NET

    - by rwmnau
    Is there a quick way to check whether a path I have is on a local disk or somewhere on the network? I can't just check to see if it's a drive letter vs. UNC, because that would incorrectly identify mapped drives as local. I assumed it would be a boolean in the DirectoryInfo object, but it appears that it's not. I've found classic VB code to do this check (through an API), but nothing for .NET so far.

  • Exclude subdirectory from rewrite rule in web.config

    - by Clog
    This question comes up often, but I can only find solutions for PHP, Apache, htaccess etc but not for web.config I would like my pages to return in HTTP not HTTPS, except for forms within certain subdirectories. I have created the following web.config file, but how do I exclude a subdirectory called forms. <configuration> <system.webServer> <rewrite> <rules> <rule name="Force all to HTTP" stopProcessing="true"> <match url="(.*)" /> <conditions> <add input="{HTTPS}" pattern="on" ignoreCase="true" /> </conditions> <action type="Redirect" redirectType="Found" url="http://www.mysite.com/{R:1}" /> </rule> </rules> </rewrite> </system.webServer> </configuration> Many thanks all you clever clogs.

  • create a folder and files in c:\program files\myApp\data in windows 7

    - by ile
    I have an old c++ application that needs to be modified to work with windows 7. Problem is in creating a new folder and saving a file in that folder. This folder should be created in c:\program files\myApp\data\newFolder. This is function I use to create new folder and get errors: if(!CreateDirectory(pathSamples,NULL)) //Throw Error { DWORD errorcode = GetLastError(); LPVOID lpMsgBuf; FormatMessage(FORMAT_MESSAGE_ALLOCATE_BUFFER | FORMAT_MESSAGE_FROM_SYSTEM | FORMAT_MESSAGE_IGNORE_INSERTS, NULL, errorcode, MAKELANGID(LANG_NEUTRAL, SUBLANG_DEFAULT), (LPTSTR)&lpMsgBuf, 0, NULL ); MessageBox(NULL, (LPCTSTR)lpMsgBuf, TEXT("Error"), MB_OK); } In XP this works, but in Windows 7 it doesn't. If I run application as administrator than the folder is created, otherwise "Access is denied" error is thrown. My question is following: Is there an option to make changes to the code so that the folder can be created in "program files" nad that files can be saved in this folder? PS I saw this thread already but it doesn't answer my question. Thanks, Ilija

    - by OM The Eternity
    I am using the following code, in which initially i am taking the difference of two folder structure and then the out put needs to be copied to other folder. here is the code below.. $source = '/var/www/html/copy1'; $mirror = '/var/www/html/copy2'; function scan_dir_recursive($dir, $rel = null) { $all_paths = array(); $new_paths = scandir($dir); foreach ($new_paths as $path) { if ($path == '.' || $path == '..') { continue; } if ($rel === null) { $path_with_rel = $path; } else { $path_with_rel = $rel . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . $path; } $full_path = $dir . DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR . $path; $all_paths[] = $path_with_rel; if (is_dir($full_path)) { $all_paths = array_merge( $all_paths, scan_dir_recursive($full_path, $path_with_rel) ); } } return $all_paths; } $diff_paths = array_diff( scan_dir_recursive($mirror), scan_dir_recursive($source) ); /*$diff_path = array_diff($mirror,$original);*/ echo "<pre>Difference ";print_r($diff_paths); foreach($diff_paths as $path) { echo $source1 = "var/www/html/copy2/".$path; echo "<br>"; $des = "var/www/html/copy1/".$path; copy_recursive_dirs($source1, $des); } function copy_recursive_dirs($dirsource, $dirdest) { $dir_handle=opendir($dirsource); mkdir($dirdest,0777); while(false!==($file=readdir($dir_handle))) {/*echo "<pre>"; print_r($file);*/ if($file!="." && $file!="..") { if(is_dir($dirsource.DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR.$file)) { //Copy the file at the same level in the destination folder copy_recursive_dirs($dirsource.DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR.$file, $dirdest.DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR.$file); } else{ //Copy the dir at the same lavel in the destination folder copy ($dirsource.DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR.$file, $dirdest.DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR.$file); } } } closedir($dir_handle); return true; } Whenever I execute the script I get the difference output but do not get the other copy on second folder as per code...   • login restriction with ldap, but where to store the functional rights/access control list?

    - by jrEwing
    Question is: Best practices when using LDAP authentication like MS ActiveDirectory but having complex access control rights inside each application. Did you put it all in the LDAP or did you link it with information in the application? Looking to build this in asp.net mvc 2 and using membership features, so best practice here i guess is that we roll our own custom provider to acomplish this...

  • can bind successfully to the ldap server, but needs to know how to find user w/i AD

    - by Brad
    I create a login form to bind to the ldap server, if successful, it creates a session (which the user's username is stored within), then I go to another page that has session_start(); and it works fine. What I want to do now, is add code to test if that user is a member of a specific group. So in theory, this is what I want to do if(username session is valid) { search ldap for user -> get list of groups user is member of foreach(group they are member of) { switch(group) { case STAFF: print 'they are member of staff group'; $access = true; break; default: print 'not a member of STAFF group'; $access = false; break; } if(group == STAFF) { break; } } if($access == TRUE) { // you have access to the content on this page } else { // you do not have access to this page } } How do I do a ldap_search w/o binding? I don't want to keep asking for their password on each page, and I can't pass their password thru a session. Any help is appreciated.

  • What is the simplest way to map a folder on the file system to a url in Tomcat?

    - by Simon
    Here's my problem... I have a small prototype app (happens to be in Grails hosted on AWS) and I want to add the ability of the user to upload a few (max 10) images. I want to persist these images on disk on the server machine, in a folder location which is outside my WAR. I realise that there is probably a super-scalable solution involving more web servers and optimised static asset serving, but for the approximately 100 users I am likely to get, it's really not worth the effort and cost. So, what is the simplest way I can have a virtual folder from my url map to a physical folder on disk? I sort of want... http://myapp.com/static to map to a folder which I can configure e.g. /var/www/static so I can then have in my code... <img src="/static/user1/picture.jpg"/> I don't particularly mind whether the resulting physical folders are directly browsable. Security will eventually be an issue, but it isn't at the start. So, what are my options? I have looked at virtual hosts on the apache site, but it feels more complicated than I need. I don't want to use the Grails static rendering plugins.
