    I am trying to create an app which uses a combination of jQuery templates and Backbone.js I have very little experience in both of them (though I know jQuery) Could you please provide some good examples where jQuery templates and Backbone.js are used effectively. Also I am loooking at using JSON for the model/data and trying to persist the data (I use Java at the backend)..So looking for ideas on how that can be integrated? Thank you.

I've found solutions close to what I need, but I don't understand jQuery or javascript enough to customize them for my needs.     I am trying to understand why you would use jQuery.get() and jQuery.get(index). The docs say it is to convert the jQuery selection to the raw DOM object instead of working with the selection as a jQuery object and the methods available to it. So a quick example: $("div").get(0).innerHTML; is the same as: $("div").html(); Obviously this is a bad example but I am struggling to figure when you would use .get(). Can you help me understand when I would use this method in my code?

  • JQuery within a partial view not being called

    I have a view that has some jQuery to load a partial view (via a button click) into a div in the view. This works without a problem. However within the partial view I have a very similar bit of jQuery that will load another partial view into a div in the first partial view, but this isn't working, it almost seems like the jQuery in the first partial view isn't being loaded. I have tried searching for solutions, but I haven't managed to find an answer. I have also re-created the jQuery function in a @Ajax.ActionLink which works fine, however I am trying to avoid the Microsoft helpers as I am trying to learn jQuery.   • Having trouble with multiple Jquery libraries

    I've seen the posts about the no conflict but I'm not very code savvy and can't figure it out alone. I'm having trouble making two libraries work together. At the top I have the 1.9.1 library which controls a news ticker, and a carousel. Near the bottom there is a library 1.6.1, which controls a Dribbble feed. If I remove 1.6.1 everything but the dribbble feed works, and if I remove the 1.9.1 the dribbble feed is the only thing that works. I uploaded the website for you guys to check out. If you could edit my code to make it work that would be amazing, I don't have much knowledge of jquery.     I am getting a file "abc.txt" from server and dispaying it in a text area for editing. <div id="filecontents"> <textarea> CONTENTS OF FILE LARGER THAN 10KB </textarea> </div> The contents of the file are potentially large. The user will edit the textarea and add/delete text from any part(not just the end). I want to send ONLY the changes to the server for patching. How do I accomplish this?. Is there a javascript version of the popular linux command(diff). John Resig's diff code may not work as, for me, it will involve additional parsing on server side. Thanks!

In the project template select Windows Forms Application. 3. In order to communicate with Sharepoint from a Windows Forms Application we need to add the 2 Sharepoint Client DLL located in c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\ISAPI. 4. Select the Microsoft.Sharepoint.Client.dll and Microsoft.Sharepoint.Client.Runtime.dll. (Your solution should look like the one below) 5. Open the Form1 in design view and from the Toolbox menu Add a Button, TextBox, Label and DataGridView on the form. 6. Next double click on the Load Button, this will open the code view of the form. Add Using statement to reference the Sharepoint Client Library then create two method for the Load Site Title and LoadList.
