• WPF Button on or off coloured state

  I'm trying to create a set of button which have an off or on state, much a checkbox without the check. Ideally I want the colour to change to represent the two different states off(red), green(on). What is supposed to happen here? Does it have to do with the fact that I'm behind a wireless router on a dynamic IP address (although I can access localhost no problem so...)? As you can see I'm on windows (Vista)

  A similar question was already asked, but does not have a satisfying answer. I want to change the CSS style for the map type selection buttons (which are actually DIVs that don't have a CSS class). The links in the referenced question show how to subclass controls, but the examples don't seem to work for GMapTypeControl. Tried the following function CustomGMapTypeControl() {} CustomGMapTypeControl.prototype = new GMapTypeControl() CustomGMapTypeControl.prototype.setButtonStyle_ = function(button) { button.style.backgroundColor = "red"; } but the setButtonStyle_ function doesn't even get called. Any solutions for this?

• Firing events in script task

  I've got an SSIS project where I am constructing an SQL command based on some variables. I'm constructing the command in a script task, and want to output the constructed SQL to the 'Execution Results' window. I am trying to do this using a FireInformation line from inside my script as follows: Dts.Events.FireInformation(99, "test", "Make this event appear!", "", 0, true); However, in the script editor when editing ScriptMain.cs, that line is underlined in red, and on mouseover, I get the following message: Error: The best overloaded method match for 'Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Tasks.ScriptTask.EventsObjectWrapper.FireInformation(int, string, string, string, int, ref bool') has some invalid arguments As a result, my script does not compile and I cannot execute it. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here, or what I need to change to be able to see the values of my variables at this point in the Execution output?

• Dealbreakers for new programming jobs?

  What might be said or implied at an interview or job posting that should set off alarm bells for a coder? I'm still only a few years in the industry but I already know to look out for excessive red tape and bureaucracy. Cubes and a noisy office also tell me that I'll be both miserable and unproductive and that management does not appreciate what coders need to work well. Edit: The way things are going I'm taking extra time to look at the company's stability. If they depend on a single vendor for their livelihood and could be out of business if the vendor decides they don't really need the service or can do it in-house. What are your dealbreakers?

• Android USB driver v2 vs v3? V3 doesnt see moto droid in device chooser?!?

  I can see my adp2 in ddms device chooser, but cant see Dave's droid. (used to be able to before updating to usb v3!). Can some smart person diff the inf files from usb v2 and v3 and see if they dropped the droid by mistake when they added the nexus? I can't think of any other reason why I cant see the droid in the device chooser. USB debug turned on, same debuggable app that runs on the 1.6 adp2. I'd like to be able to see the 2.1 device even if it has a red x by it!

• Constantly getting ...DeviceMonitor] Failed to start monitoring

  I find that after running or debugging my application a few times using eclipse, that I get the above output in my console (in red) and I get no feedback from Dalvik as to the connection status to my phone is going. My application will still debug etc. I just get nothing useful in my Console. Any ideas how to fix this? It appears intermittent. It starts doing it after a few minutes, continues to do it for quite a while and occasionally goes away again. This has happened on my last laptop and now on my new laptop with a completely fresh install etc.

  Hi, I have the following entities in CoreData: Village - villageID Bookmark - (relation) village There are multiple villages with each an unique villageID. I have a entity Bookmark which only has a relation to a Village entity; it isn't possible to make a reverse relation. Now I would like to get the village entities where there exists a Bookmark relation. I've red something about subqueries, but I can't get it right for this situation. It must be something like: Village.villageID IN (Bookmark.village.villageID) It isn't possible to get first all the Bookmarks and then loop to get all the Villages, because of the design of the framework. Can this be done in CoreData (I presume the answer is "Yes, of course!") and how?

  Hi, I'm looking at the buttons used on twitter's home page, specifically the big orange 'signup' button. I see it is defined like this: <p id="signup-btn"> <a id="signup_submit" href="/signup"> <span>Sign Up</span> </a> </p> are they just using css to give the orange button appearance (which may just be a jpg), and also using css to specify the roll-over appearance (another jpg), and finally a third state for mouse-click (another jpg) to give the impression of a real clickable button? If that's how it works, what should I look for to do the same thing?   I'm currently making a console application in C# (will be going to a Windows Form application in the future. Sooner if needed). My current objective is to have a matrix (current size 52x42) be exported as an image (bitmap, jpeg, png, I'm flexible) where each value in the matrix (0, 1, 2, 3) is portrayed as a white, black, blue, or red square of size 20px x 20px with a grid 1px wide seperating each 'cell'. Can this even be done in a console application, and if so how? If not, what would I need to get it working in a Windows Form application?

• Using TweenMax to fade in div with background pattern and z-index not working

  I'm trying to do this really simple fade using TweenMax for this div I have. Here's the css for the div .aboutBg { background:url(../images/pattern.jpg); top:0; right:0; left:0; bottom:0, position:fixed; border:10px solid red; z-index:10; } TweenMax.to('.aboutPage', 0.5, {autoAlpha:1}); What's happening is the border would fade in nicely but the patterned bg is not, it just pops up at the end of the tween. If I remove the z-index everything works, but I have to have set the z-index so it's on top of my other content. Also I'm not tweening the z-index, it's set before the tween, so I'm not sure why it's not fading correctly. Anyone has any idea? Thanks.
