  I have a Sequence Activity which holds two activities (Activity A and B), the input dependency property for Activity B is bound an output dependency property of Activity A. However, when I run the sequence activity, the Input for activity B is never updated and just uses the default value of activity A's output. My question is: is there a way to enforce an update on activity B's input so that it gets the latest value of activity A's output?

  Is there any clever way to mix two bit sequences in such way that bits from first sequence will be on odd places, and bits from second sequence will be on even places. Both sequences are no longer than 16b so output will fit into 32bit integer. • unix tool to remove duplicate lines from a file

  I have a tool that generates tests and predicts the output. The idea is that if I have a failure I can compare the prediction to the actual output and see where they diverged. The problem is the actual output contains some lines twice, which confuses diff. I want to remove the duplicates, so that I can compare them easily. Basically, something like sort -u but without the sorting. Is there any unix commandline tool that can do this?

  Hi - I have a function that recursively makes some calculations on a set of numbers. I want to also pretty-print the calculation in each recursion call by passing the string from the previous calculation and concatenating it with the current operation. • Foreach is crashing script, but no errors reported.

  So I've created this smarty function to get images from my flickr photostream using SimplePie... simple really, or so it should be. The problem I'm having is the foreach will crash the script, this doesn't happen if I put an exit after the closing foreach, of course because of this the rest of my script doesn't execute. The problem also completely subsides if I remove the foreach, I've tested it and it's not the contents of the foreach, but the loop itself. Error reporting is turned on but I don't get any, I also tried messing with the memory_limit, with no luck. Anyone know why this foreach is killing my script?   We are using Antlr StringTemplates to give control over how a Entity's Name is output. The basic Stringtemplate is $FirstName$ $Initial$ $LastName$, $Suffix$, $Degree$ I want to add some smarts to that template so that the commas are only output when necessary i.e. The first comma is only output when there is a Suffix or Degree and the second commas is only output if there is a suffix. I tried the following template string bit it does not work. An additional complexity is that there are hundreds of machines to include in the operation so there will be multiple rows (one for each machine) for each minute of the day. Given an array of random numbers and -1 placed inbetween, I have to compact the array meaning all the -1s are to be replaced and the final output should be the last valid index with the fresh array. For example. Input: 3 4 -1 -1 -1 5 8 -1 8 Output: 3 4 5 8 8 5 8 -1 8 and last valid index is 4 Input: -1 -1 -1 -1 -1 2 Output: 2 -1 -1 -1 -1 2 and last valid index is 0 Input: -1 -1 -1 3 3 3 Output: 3 3 3 3 3 3 and last valid index is 2 You should not swap the values just the last valid index along with the array is enough to decipher the non negative values.

Once it's completed, they'll see all the output from the application which includes progress details. Not very useful. Therefore I'm trying to find a sample that shows the best way to: Start an external application (hidden) Monitor its output periodically as it displays information about it's progress (so I can extract this and present a nice percentage bar to the user) Determine when the external application has finished (so I can't continue with my own applications execution) Kill the external application if necessary and detect when this has happened (so that if the user hits "cancel", I get take the appropriate steps) Does anyone have any recommended code snippets?

  how to get the xml translation to html dropdownlist with ajax. • jQuery JSON .each problem

  I have a JSON object that looks like this. [ { "id" : "23", "event_id" : "0", "sport_title" : null, "event_title" : null, "title" : "Under 1 day!", "content" : "It\\'s all hotting up and battle commences in under one day!", "link" : "" }, { "id" : "20", "event_id" : "0", "sport_title" : null, "event_title" : null, "title" : "Getting Exciting", "content" : "Less than two days till it all kicks off, with cricket....", "link" : "" }] and I am trying to get the details out of this JSON Object and prepend them to a <ul> the code that I am currently trying looks like this and is having problems var writeup_list = writeuplist; $.getJSON('../json/getWriteups.json', function(data) { $.each(data.items, function(i, item) { writeup_list.html(function() { var output; output = '<li><a href="/writeups/index.php#writeup_' + item.id + '">'; if(item.sport_title != null) { output += item.sport_title + ' - '; } output += item.title + '</a></li>'; return output; }); }); }); writeuplist is just the ul object. I am also worried about overriding information that is already in the list or just adding again. Don't want to keep adding the same data. What is a good way to avoid this? I seem to be having a problem in getting the data out of the JSON file I believe it has something to do with the way am trying to access it in the .each function. Can anyone spot where am going wrong?
