  • loading an xml in web apps directory from a library dll

    my web application has an xml file here: /files/xml/test.xml I need to load a XDocument from within a class library project, how will I reference the xml? I don't want to pass any path parameters to this method. I want to assume the location is fixed at /files/xml/test.xml. How can I load a XDocument know this? I don't seem to have access to server.mappath either.

    hi, I have audio files in var/ This is the file name 2-3109999999-3246758493-1271129518-1271129505.6.wav Format 2=campaign id 3109999999=caller id 3246758493=number called 1271129518=timestamp call ended 1271129505=timestamp call started 6=call id If I were to pass just the number called which was 3246758493, how can I find all the files without defining all the other variables(such as timestamp, etc) and just the files that have that number in the filename?

    Hi, I'm using this XML classes for the first time and can't find this piece of info. I'm doing: xmlDoc = new XDocument(new XDeclaration("1.0", "utf-8", "yes")); xmlDoc.Add(new XElement("Images")); xmlDoc .Save("C:\\Backup\\images.xml"); But doesn't work. It only works if I use just the filename, like "images.xml", but of course, the file gets saved on the execution path.

    I try to traverse the diretory tree. A naive depth-first traversal seems not to produce the data in a lazy fashion and runs out of memory.     I am going crazy with this one I have this folders and files structure / /projects /mytest /install /index.php /product /resources So, inside my install/index.php file I am trying to verify if /product folder does exist. I know that the folder exists, but looks like PHP doesn't. My code: if(file_exists('../../mytest/product') && is_dir('../../mytest/product')) { echo 'Folder exists!'; } else { echo 'PHP is blind or something!'; } Maybe I am very tired, but I just cannot figure out what is wrong.     I followed this tutorial to setup SVN on my Fedora box http://www.ashishkulkarni.com/installing-subversion-on-fedora-linux/ It worked. However, there is no trunk, tags or branches when I set this up. In the tutorial he creates a sandbox project /svn/repos/sandbox Now I am assuming that all projects will go under repos /svn/repos/project1 /svn/repos/project2 When I view the project there are no trunk, tags or branches, I have not yet checked in any project, will these appear when I do that? As I understand all my files should go below the trunk. What are the tags and branches for? Just some clarification about the structure would be nice. Thanks.

    I wonder how to list the content of a tar file only down to some level? I understand tar tvf mytar.tar will list all files, but sometimes I would like to only see directories down to some level. Similarly, for the command ls, how do I control the level of subdirectories that will be displayed? By default, it will only show the direct subdirectories, but not go further.

    I installed emacs 23.3.1 in c:/emacs-23.3. Following the hints in this page, I updated the site-start.el to set HOME environment variable. (setenv "HOME" "c:/users/USER/emacs") And I made c:/users/USER/.emacs (like I did in unix/mac) to write the code for using slime, but it doesn't seem to start slime correctly. Is this a correct way of setting emacs in Windows 7? Where do I put the .emacs file?

I want to show all the files in the directories to give the user some context, but only directories should be accepted as selections (maybe the Open button would be disabled when a file is selected).     This question was close to mine, but not quite. I have a Windows desktop and a MacBook Pro. I'd like to be able to keep my Eclipse workspace in my Dropbox folder. The problem is that many project settings change between platforms: references to JREs, JDKs, and other libs. Every discussion I've seen of this problem seems to suggest taking advantage of the source control system's ignore functionality, so that such-and-such file remains local-only and thus able to remain platform-specific. But when you're working with a real single shared folder, that class of solution doesn't apply. Have you had luck working with a Java Eclipse project living in a single folder shared over the network, cross-platform?
