  • Problem with validating ModelForm

    I use ModelForm to create my form. All works fine except 1 thing - validating the unique field. Code: class Article(models.Model): ... title = models.CharField(max_length=255, unique=True, error_messages={'max_length' : 'max translation', 'unique' : 'unique translation', 'required' : 'req translation',}) ... class ArticleForm(ModelForm): ... title = forms.CharField(max_length=255, min_length=3, error_messages={'required' : 'req translation', 'min_length' : 'min translation', 'max_length' : 'max translation', 'unique' : 'unique translation',}) But when I save my form with non-unique title I don't get my custom translated error but I get default error. How to fix it, that my unique field error is displayed?

  • How can I measure distance with tastypie and geodjango?

    Using Tastypie and GeoDjango, I'm trying to return results of buildings located within 1 mile of a point. The TastyPie documentation states that distance lookups are not yet supported, but I am finding examples of people getting it work, such as this discussion and this discussion on StackOverflow, but no working code examples that can be applied. The idea that I am trying to work with is if I append a GET command to the end of a URL, then nearby locations are returned, for example: http://website.com/api/?format=json&building_point__distance_lte=[{"type": "Point", "coordinates": [153.09537, -27.52618]},{"type": "D", "m" : 1}] But when I try that, all I get back is: {"error": "Invalid resource lookup data provided (mismatched type)."} I've been pouring over the Tastypie document for days now and just can't figure out how to implement this. I'd provide more examples, but I know they'd be all terrible. All advice is appreciated, thank you!

  • Python: UTF-8 problems (again...)

    I have a database which is synchronized against an external web source twice a day. This web source contains a bunch of entries, which have names and some extra information about these names. Some of these names are silly and I want to rename them when inserting them into my own database. To rename these silly names, I have a standard dictionary as such: RENAME_TABLE = { "Wsird" : "Weird", ... } As you can see, this is where UTF-8 comes into play. This is the function which performs renaming of all the problematic entries: def rename_all_entries(): all_keys = RENAME_TABLE.keys() entries = Entry.objects.filter(name__in=all_keys) for entry in entries: entry.name = RENAME_TABLE[entry.name] entry.save() So it tries to find the old name in RENAME_TABLE and renames the entry if found. However, I get a KeyError exception when using RENAME_TABLE[entry.name]. Now I'm lost, what do I do? I have... # -*- coding: utf-8 -*- ...in the top of the Python file.

In the add view it works just fine. But the edit view renders the OptionsAndFeatures as blank.     I have a Customer class which has a representative field....this field is initially blank but when the user opens up the details page of the chosen customer, they'll be given the open of representing this customer by clicking on a link. The template layout I was thinking of is this: <strong>Representative: </strong> {% if customer.representative %} {{ customer.representative }} {% else %} <a href="{% url representCustomer customer.id %}">Represent this customer.</a> {% endif %} All that remains is the view to effect this...this is where I'm stuck.

What I want to do is to have a count of how many times a given CommonVehicle object is used in the Vehicle class. So far my attempts are giving me one number, which is a total of all the records. How can I have the count being the total appearances for each CommonVehicle

    Whenever i try try to update a userprofile on djano powered web, i get the error, username already exists, please provide another one. I am trying to get it to recognize the authenticated user.     I'm using the smartif tag from this snippet (I'm holding on with regards to upgrading to 1.2) in my template for a certain boolean field like so: {% if payment.extends_membership == "True" %} {% trans "Yes" %} {% else %} {% trans "No" %} {% endif %} But whatever the value of extends_membership I get only No as the output. What could be the problem?

For example: Table1: ID Date Name Address Fax Table2: ID Date Name e-mail Telephone number I want to display data together sorted by date & ID but from both tables. For example, first displayed will be the newest record from first table, but the second one will be the record from another table posted right after first one.   • Setting a form field's valule during validation

    Hi, I read about this issue already, but I'm having trouble understanding why I can't change the value of a form's field during validation. I have a form where a user can enter a decimal value. This value has to be higher than the initial value of the item the user is changing. During clean(), the value that was entered is checked against the item's previous value. I would like to be able to re-set the form field's value to the item's initial value when a user enters a lower value. Is this possible from within the clean() method, or am I forced to do this in the view? Somehow, it doesn't feel right to do this in the view... (To make matters more complicated, the form's fields are built up dynamically, meaning I have to override the form's clean() method instead of using the clean_() method). Thanks in advance!

  • Adding nodes to MAAS server

    I was able to install MAAS server using ubuntu 12.04. Then boot up nodes from he PXE. Then installed maas-precise-x86-64-commissioning through pxe. Now the installation is done. but im unable to commission with the MAAS server. It does not show it as a node and neither im unable to add it manually and end up with following error. Also what is the default username password for maas-precise-x86-64-commissioning. Im unable to login. This error when adding node manually.     Just released - the 12.1.3 Rollup (RUP) Patch 17525552:R12.PRC_PF.B for iSupplier Portal, Sourcing and Supplier Lifecycle Management (SLM). Who should apply this patch? Anyone that is on Release 12.1.3 and is using  iSupplier Portal, Sourcing or Supplier Lifecycle Management (SLM) functionality. The following areas have had major fixes: Prospective Supplier Guided Navigation: The train-navigation is introduced for prospective supplier registration so that prospective suppliers can see all steps needed to successfully register themselves. Supplier Registration Workflow Enhancement: With this release, provided the Approval Management Engine (AME) action required notifications for supplier approval, so that all workflow related features can be enabled. Vacation rules can be set, approvals can be forwarded and more information can be requested through the notification itself.  Additionally AME parallel Approval support for Supplier Registration approvals has been added. Reinstate Supplier Request: Allow buyer to reopen/reinstate the rejected supplier. Supplier is able to access their previously rejected registration again and make changes and resubmit request. Contact Address Association: The prospective supplier is allowed to associate addresses with contacts (including Primary) during the prospective supplier registration process. Primary Contact Enhancement: The prospective supplier can be registered without creating a user account for the primary contact. Mandatory Attributes: In the negotiation requirement creation page, the lookup meaning of 'Internal' has been changed to 'Internal Optional', and a new lookup value with meaning as 'Internal Required' has been added. The values available in the 'Type' dropdown now are Display Only, Internal Optional, Internal Required, Supplier Optional and Supplier Required.  So now during supplier evaluations, internal user response can be set as mandatory by using Internal Required type during requirement creation. Notifications to Supplier:  When the supplier saves and submits their supplier registration request, then a notification with a registration status page link will be sent for further access.  When the buyer approves, rejects or returns the request, the supplier will be notified in an email with the current status. There are also 10 major enhancements included in this RUP. For information about this RUP; including, the fixes and enhancements included, how to access and apply the patch, performing an impact analysis on your system, and testing recommendations, see Doc ID 1591198.1.  Don’t delay apply the patch today!

Is this possible ? If not: how long does it typically take before Apple approves a new registred product in iTunes Connect ? Since the content looses quickly it's 'freshness' (news broadcasts...), it is crucial to be able to have new content available ASAP.   • How to append html only if the div is empty in jQuery?

    I have this code for displaying content for login and registration in my PHP file: <?php // LOGIN PART ?> <div class="login-part"></div> <?php // REGISTRATION PART ?> <div class="registration-part"></div> And this in my js file: $(document).ready( function() { // FOR REGISTRATION $('span.logreg.reg').click(function () { $('div.registration-part').append('<p>Registration</p>'); }); // FOR LOGIN $('span.logreg.log').click(function () { // insert html $('div.login-part').append('<p>Login</p>'); }); }); Now, everytime I click on a span it shows the text login or registration, according to which of the span was clicked. Thats OK, however I need to add it only once, so when the user click more times on the span it will be not adding more text. Remove() or empty() is not an option, as far as I know, because I need the information inside input boxes (there will be input boxes later for inserting user info) to stay there and not be deleted if the user click accidentally on the span again. It can however delete the html inside the div, if he clicks on another span. E.g. if span.log is active, after clicking on span.log nothing happens, but if he clicks on span.reg the html inside div.login-part will be removed and registration text will appear. How to do something like this?
