  • Input event loop in a console application

    - by Álvaro
Hi, I'm trying to make a little console application that is able to deal with keystrokes as events. What I need is mostly the ability to get the keystrokes and be able to do something with them without dealing with the typical stdin reading functions. I tried to check the code of programs like mplayer, which implement this (for stopping the play, for example), but I can't get to the core of this with such a big code base. Thanks

  • Keep focus on blur event

    - by Jim
I am using jquery to keep the focus on a text box when you click on a specific div. It works well in Internet Explorer but not in Firefox. Any suggestions? var clickedDiv = false; $('input').blur(function() { if (clickedDiv) { $('input').focus(); } }); $('div').mousedown(function() { clickedDiv = true; }) .mouseup(function() { clickedDiv = false }); If you need anymore specifics let me know.

  • Loading dynamic content and rewrite URL on Hashchange event with Jquery Mobile

    - by user3611500
I'm building a mobile version for my website using Jquery Mobile API. The framework provides automate AJAX navigation processing. But as far as i know it require "real" pages for loading purpose. What i want to do is override the automate navigation process of it and process the hashchange on my own. But i can't not rewrite the url using window.hashChange, which is running well on my non-mobile website version : $(function () { $(window).off().hashchange(function () { if (location.hash.length > 1) { PageSelect(); } }); $(window).hashchange(); }); I just only want to take advantage on jquery mobile interfaces, i don't want anything with its automate ajax navigation stuff ! I tried to disable it using ajaxEnabled() but got no luck.

  • jQuery repeated event till user clicks on it

    - by Lyon
Hi, I have an animation on a partially hidden div container that will execute when the result returned from an ajax query is true. (The animation actually just brings the box into larger view, and then sliding it back in again) $('#box').animate({'right':'-184px'}, 300, 'easeOutBounce'); $('#box').animate({'right':'-194px'}, 150, 'easeOutExpo'); How can I make this animation repeat every 4 seconds until the user clicks on $('#box')? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

  • Capture Touch Event on UITableViewCell and after enter didSelectRowAdTindePath method

    - by Luca
Hi I want to personalize my UITableView changing background when user tap on a specific cell. I've a dedicated ViewController for each cell and if I implement touchesBegan method in this viewController i can change my cell background without any problem. The problem is that the method "didSelectRowAtIndexPath" of the UITableView is no longer called. How can I call it manually? I am in another viewController and I have no access to that method. or how can propagate to the touch tableView? Thanks a lot

  • Re-Apply currency formatting to a UITextField on a change event

    - by Jim Aldes
Howdy all, I'm working with a UITextField that holds a localized currency value. I've seen lots of posts on how to work with this, but my question is: how do I re-apply currency formatting to the UITextField after every key press? I know that I can set up and use a currency formatter with: NSNumberFormatter *currencyFormatter = [[NSNumberFormatter alloc] init]; [currencyFormatter setNumberStyle:NSNumberFormatterCurrencyStyle]; ... [currencyFormatter stringFromNumber:...]; but I don't know how to hook it up. For instance, if the value in the field reads "$12,345" and the user taps the "6" key, then the value should change to "$123,456". Which callback is the "correct" one to do this in (should I use textField:shouldChangeCharactersInRange:replacementString: or a custom target-action) and how do I use the NSNumberFormatter to parse and re-apply formatting to the UITextField's text property? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

  • window.onload seems to trigger before the DOM is loaded (JavaScript)

    - by Dr. Monkey
I am having trouble with the window.onload and document.onload events. Everything I read tells me these will not trigger until the DOM is fully loaded with all its resources, it seems like this isn't happening for me: I tried the following simple page in Chrome 4.1.249.1036 (41514) and IE 8.0.7600.16385 with the same result: both displayed the message "It failed!", indicating that myParagraph is not loaded (and so the DOM seems incomplete). <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en"> <head> <script type="text/javascript"> window.onload = doThis(); // document.onload gives the same result function doThis() { if (document.getElementById("myParagraph")) { alert("It worked!"); } else { alert("It failed!"); } } </script> </head> <body> <p id="myParagraph">Nothing is here.</p> </body> </html> I am using more complex scripts than this, in an external .js file, but this illustrates the problem. I can get it working by having window.onload set a timer for half a second to run doThis(), but this seems like an inelegant solution, and doesn't answer the question of why window.onload doesn't seem to do what everyone says it does. Another solution would be to set a timer that will check if the DOM is loaded, and if not it will just call itself half a second later (so it will keep checking until the DOM is loaded), but this seems overly complex to me. Is there a more appropriate event to use?

  • mybase.showdialog event fired without apparent reason

    - by António Mendes
Hi, i'm new to vb .net and oop although i have learned the basics. I'm working in VB and .NET CF 3.5 and i'm trying to pass and received a value with showdialog. The issue here is when i'm done with a procedure in Load, for some reason MyBase.Showdialog (line 3) gives an error of "NullReferenceException was unhandled", but the same procedure doesn't have anything to do with Showdialog. Also, this same error happens with me in other forms when i use AlphaImageButton from AlphaMobileControls. I even created an custom AlphaImageButton with a DialogResult Property and set it to None with no avail. Public Overloads Function ShowDialog(ByRef sArg As String) As String sParam = Split(sArg, vbTab) sArtigo = sParam(0) If MyBase.ShowDialog() = Windows.Forms.DialogResult.OK Then Return lblQuant.Text End If Return Nothing End Function

  • WPF - expander Collapsed event being triggered by child controls with validation

    - by Shaboboo
I have an expander that contains an ItemsControl. The items in the itemsControl are templated, some have textboxes in them, others have checkboxes. Both have bindings that cause validation. The styling and validation is working as expected. The problem is when I first expand the expander and cause a change to either control, the expander collapses again, this is not what I want. If I repeat this a second time this does not happen. I'm not sure what is triggering this strange behaviour. I've tried setting the focus to the itemsControl when the expander expands with no luck. What is differnt the second time it's expanded? Could it be the validation? Any Ideas? XAML: <Expander Header="{Binding SubSectionName}" Padding="0" > <ItemsControl ItemsSource="{Binding ConfigSubSectionSettings}" ItemTemplateSelector="{StaticResource Settings_Selector}" /> </Expander> <!-- Templates selected by the ItemTemplateSelector --> <DataTemplate x:Key="subSection_Bool"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <TextBlock x:Name="lbl" Text="{Binding SubSectionName}" > <CheckBox x:Name="chk" IsChecked="{Binding BoolValue, ValidatesOnDataErrors=True}" VerticalAlignment="Center" Margin="2" > </StackPanel > </DataTemplate> <DataTemplate x:Key="subSection_Text"> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <TextBlock x:Name="lbl" Text="{Binding SubSectionName}" /> <TextBox x:Name="txt" VerticalAlignment="Center" Text="{Binding StringValue, ValidatesOnDataErrors=True}" /> </StackPanel> </DataTemplate>

  • Javascript event detection

    - by Ben Shelock
I can't find any good documentation on this suprisingly so I'm posting it here. What's the raw javascript equivilent to this: $(elem).click(function(){ alert(this.text()); }); All I can find is this <elem onlick="func()" /> which is not what I want, I want to be able to do it just with javascript not within the context of an element.

  • WPF WebBrowser: How to set element click event?

    - by Ralph
I've figured out how to make everything red as soon as the page is finished loading: private void webBrowser1_LoadCompleted(object sender, NavigationEventArgs e) { var doc = (IHTMLDocument2)webBrowser1.Document; foreach (IHTMLElement elem in doc.all) { elem.style.backgroundColor = "#ff0000"; } } Now what if I want to make the element only change color when it's clicked? I see that elem has an onclick property, but it's type is dynamic so I don't know what to do with it. The documentation is pretty useless.
