    I am trying to set up ANT build. However when I invoke build command helloworld_15/${NAME} does not exist. BUILD FAILED (total time: 0 seconds) Also the configure variables does not seems to be assigned. However i have set them into /etc/envitonment I tried echo $<varaiable_name> and value get displayed. Tried to google but not solutions seems am the first one having this issue. PS: OS Ubuntu 10.10

    Hey, I am getting intermittent issues with my site. Pages often hang with huge loading times and sometimes fail to load. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Chris. EDIT The current number of httpd procceses is 11. This does increase as the error persists and can rise up to 25+. I am running Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS).

  • Apache mod_rewrite for multiple domains to SSL

    Hi there, I'm running a web service that will allow people to create their own "instances" of my application, running under their own domain. These people will create an A record to forward a subdomain of their main domain to my server. The problem is that my server runs everything under SSL. So in my configuration for port 80, I have the following: <VirtualHost *:80> ServerName mydomain.com ServerAlias www.mydomain.com RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on RewriteRule /(.*) https://mydomain.com/$1 [R=301] </VirtualHost> This has worked well to forward all requests from the http: to https: domain. But as I said, I now need to let any domain automatically forward to the secure version of itself. Is there a rewrite rule that will let me take the incoming domain and rewrite it to the https version of same? So that the following matches would occur: http://some.otherdomain.com -> https://some.otherdomain.com http://evenanotherdomain.com -> https://evenanotherdomain.com Thanks for your help! After that I modified my virtual host setting and it is working.     I need to save session data for a dynamic web page script by writing to file. I have two questions: Are there any security preferences as to whether to save the data UNDER the web folder, or OUTSIDE the web folder? I attempted to write to the folder an (unsuprisingly), I had a 'file permission refused' type error. Should I set the folder ownership to the apache user (600, 640 or 644?) [[Edit]] core <- 'OUTSIDE' web folder (php script live here) data <- 'OUTSIDE' web folder (session data and other misc data resides here) web <- web root folder js <- any folder below is 'INSIDE' the web folder css html For example, in a php script (i.e. a dynamic PHP page), I can attempt to write to a file using something like fput('../data',data) yet (as I understand it) ../data should not be accessible - for security reasons. Could someone please provide a simple example that shows how to provide access to ../data/ in the example given above?. What are the actual SPECIFIC steps required? BTW, I am running on a LAMP stack.

    [I originally posted on SO but it earned me a Tumbleweed badge. This looks like a better venue for the question.] I have Apache (XAMPP 1.8.0) running on Vista Pro x64. A couple times now I have seen a pattern like the example below in access.log. Concerning is the "attack" seems to somehow shift from a public IP to a valid private IP on my network (happens to be the WAN address of one of my routers). Two questions: How is this possible, and what happens if the "attacker" stumbles on a valid request?   • Correct PHP5 DLL for Apache 2.2?

    I have installed Apache 2.2.14 (Win32) on a Windows XP machine and am trying to add the latest PHP module. I downloaded the ZIP file from here labeled "VC9 x86 Non Thread Safe" and extracted to my Apache directory. I then copied php5.dll to Apache's bin directory and copied php.ini to C:\Windows. In httpd.conf, I added these lines: LoadModule php5_module "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/bin/php5.dll" AddType application/x-httpd-php .php Now Apache will not start. error.log says this: "Can't locate API module structure php5_module in file C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/bin/php5.dll": No error" I think I may have the wrong .dll file, because I found tutorials that use the filename php5apache2.dll and I didn't see that in the PHP package I got. Also, I have seen references to a file called php5ts.dll, but I don't see that either. What exactly do I need to make PHP5 work?

  • How to bind Apache to specific IP and port on Windows Server 2008

    I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 that I use to host various ASP.NET applications under IIS7. I would also like to run various PHP based web apps using Apache (or Apache 2). The server has three static IP addresses assigned to it and I would like to bind one of the IP addresses to Apache while using the other two IP addresses for IIS. I can use the IIS Manager to bind the specific IP addresses to IIS, but I am unaware of how to do this with Apache. Can anyone tell me how to go about binding Apache to a specific IP address and port (port 80 is what I want to use). Please note .. I am aware that PHP can run under IIS. In fact that is how I have been running my PHP web applications. However, there are so many inconsistencies and pitfalls with PHP running under IIS that I just prefer to use Apache.

  • Apache 2.0.55/PHP 5.3.5 Hangs

    Recently inherited a Windows 2k3 server running XAMPP, including ancient copies of PHP, MySQL and Apache. I'm attempting to install a second, up-to-date PHP installation on the machine so I can reference that in future instead of XAMPP's old one. Apache starts up with this new PHP installation happily. Unfortunately, when Apache references the new PHP install, whenever I try a view a page (even a non-PHP page) it hangs. The server simply doesn't respond to any HTTP request - it doesn't crash either. It just sits there with the connection open. There are no errors/warnings/notices in either the PHP or Apache logs. I've pretty much ruled out PHP's extensions (by process of systematic elimination) and most of the INI settings. I've tried reinstalling PHP from scratch. The PHP installation is PHP 5.3.5 x86 thread-safe compiled w/ VC6. The Apache installation is Apache 2.0.55. Anyone encountered similar behaviour?
