• Writing custom Message Formatter for SOAP basicHttpBinding

  I have a WSDL published by our service development team. It is using SOAP and basicHttpBinding. I can add the service reference to the project using Add Service Reference option in Visual Studio. I need to develop the WCF client. I need to use custom Message Formatter (for mapping between Messages and CLR types). Can you please show how to write the custom Message Formatter (in C# )for the following wsdl?   Hi everyone I load from a txt file many info, and I would like, if possible, to dynamically create NSmutable dictionary with the elements of the txt. For example, each is like that: id of element | date | text What I'm asking is the equivalent of the NSString stringWithFormat:. Can we do the same for an Mutable Dictionary? To be more practical, let's say the NSString *date is equal to "23/12/2009" (for europe). I want to create a dictionary called 23/12/2009 without declaring *23/12/2009 but just something like dictionaryWithFormat: @"%@", date]; I'm stuck on this, and I don't even know if it is possible. • How do I get the current Application Name (in terms of IIS) in a classic asp Web application

  I have a classic asp application which retrieves the current application name and sets an Application variable containing that name. This name is important (I wont go into why) and is essentially the friendly name in IIS. The problem is, the implementation used to get this name is flawed, it a) assumes the home directory contains the string wwwroot, and b) assumes the folder name is the same as the application name. I can no longer guarantee these conditions. I would have thought the application name is know at run-time but I can't seem to find it in either Session or Application variables (at application start up entry point in global.asa). Any ideas?

• How does a java compiler resolve a non-imported name

  Consider I use a type X in my java compilation unit from package foo.bar and X is not defined in the compilation unit itself nor is it directly imported. How does a java compiler resolve X now efficiently? There are a few possibilities where X could reside: X might be imported via a star import a.b.* X might reside in the same package as the compilation unit X might be a language type, i.e. reside in java.lang The problem I see is especially (2.). Since X might be a package-private type, it is not even required that X resides in a compilation unit that is named X.java. Thus, the compiler must look into all entries of the class path and search for any classes in a package foo.bar, it then must read every class that is in package foo.bar to check whether X is included. That sounds very expensive. Especially when I compile only a single file, the compiler has to read dozens of class files only to find a type X. If I use a lot of star imports, this procedure has to be repeated for a lot of types (although class files won't be read twice, of course). So is it advisable to import also types from the same package to speed up the compilation process? Or is there a faster method for resolving an unimported type X which I was not able to find?

  Creating member is usually done by populating the Member Staging Table (tblStgMember), during this process you assign a value for member code and member name.   Hello I am starting out as an Android Developer, and I would like to know if there are any Computer vision libraries or Augmented Reality libraries for the Android SDK , as I am planning to use these libraries for a mobile app. I have read that if I download the NDK, I might be able to "import/use" the C openCV, and ARtoolkit libraries, but I am wondering if this is possible, or if there is a better and easier way of using these tools. Android apps are programmed in Java, yet OpenCV & ARtoolkit use C/C++, any way to use these libraries?!? Thank you!

• Simple way to implement computer-go board in Java

  I want to make a simple Go board to design an Computer Go game. In a go game, you lie a "stone" (white or black) on a position where horizontal and vertical lines intersect. What are some simple ways to restrict users from placing their stones in other locations? Maybe I'm just not seeing a simple solution. EDIT I guess I should rephrase my question better: I want to know how to do the background image of Go board, so that I can lie my stones on the intersection of the horizontal and the vertical lines. I was thinking about getting a just regular Go board image, and when I'm actually rendering stones, I find right position of pixels to lie stones. However, that solution did not seem to be the best solution, since I need to worry about size of stone images and think about proportionality when I either expand or shrink the board window.

I am advancing to the third and final year of my computer science degree this September and I was thinking about spending some time during the summer to watch a couple of lectures, in order to improve my understanding of algorithms, complexity, programming, software engineering, etc. Now I don't have infinite time to spend so I can't watch all of the lectures from all of the universities so I was wondering if you could suggest me which sets to watch from each one (something like "Algorithms from MIT", "Programming from Yale", etc).

• Computer Vision Website Image Slideshow help

  Hi, I'm making an online display of the output of a computer vision algorithm. After running the algorithm I am left with a folder of about 1000 16 bit .tiff files. I need to put those on the website in a list for so that the researchers can click through and find the list. Also there needs to be an image frame with an "animated gif" feel that can be started stopped and played in reverse. Any ideas on the best way to do this? What language to use? I made a simple website in Ruby on Rails but I don't know if it has the capabilities to do what I require.

  Sometimes something very small or a common error which we observe in daily life teaches us new things. His social media hands are LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter. Once I faced following error when I was working on performance tuning project and attempt to create an Index. Mug 1913, Level 16, State 1, Line 1 The operation failed because an index or statistics with name ‘Ix_Table1_1′ already exists on table ‘Table1′. The immediate reaction to the error was that I might have created that index earlier and when I researched it further I found the same as the index was indeed created two times. This totally makes sense. This can happen due to many reasons for example if the user is careless and executes the same code two times as well, when he attempts to create index without checking if there was index already on the object. However when I paid attention to the details of the error, I realize that error message also talks about statistics along with the index. I got curious if the same would happen if I attempt to create indexes with the same name as statistics already created. There are a few other questions also prompted in my mind. I decided to do a small demonstration of the subject and build following demonstration script. The goal of my experiment is to find out the relation between statistics and the index. Statistics is one of the important input parameter for the optimizer during query optimization process. If the query is nontrivial then only optimizer uses statistics to perform a cost based optimization to select a plan. For accuracy and further learning I suggest to read MSDN. Now let’s find out the relationship between index and statistics. We will do the experiment in two parts. i) Creating Index ii) Creating Statistics We will be using the following T-SQL script for our example. Now let us begin our test. 1) Create an index on the table Create following index on the table. CREATE NONCLUSTERED INDEX Ix_Table1_1 ON Table1(Col1) GO Now let us use above two scripts and see their results. We can see that when we created index at the same time it created statistics also with the same name. Before continuing to next set of demo – drop the table using following script and re-create the table using a script provided at the beginning of the table. DROP TABLE table1 GO 2) Create a statistic on the table Create following statistics on the table. CREATE STATISTICS Ix_table1_1 ON Table1 (Col1) GO Now let us use above two scripts and see their results. We can see that when we created statistics Index is not created. The behavior of this experiment is different from the earlier experiment. Clean up the table setup using the following script: DROP TABLE table1 GO Above two experiments teach us very valuable lesson that when we create indexes, SQL Server generates the index and statistics (with the same name as the index name) together. Now due to the reason if we have already had statistics with the same name but not the index, it is quite possible that we will face the error to create the index even though there is no index with the same name. A Quick Check To validate that if we create statistics first and then index after that with the same name, it will throw an error let us run following script in SSMS. In simple words – when we create index the name of the index should be different from any of the existing indexes and statistics.   Hello, I have form, where some fields are looks like rows, so I can add/delete them using JS. For example: Field with ID=1 (existing row) <input id="id[1]" type="text" name="id[1]" value="1" /> <input id="name[1]" type="text" name="name[1]" value="100" /> Field with ID=2 (existing row) <input id="name[2]" type="text" name="name[2]" value="200" /> <input id="name[2]" type="text" name="name[2]" value="200" /> new row created by default (to allow add one more row to existing rows) <input id="id[n0]" type="text" name="id[n0]" value="" /> <input id="name[n0]" type="text" name="name[n0]" value="" /> new row created by JS <input id="id[n1]" type="text" name="id[n1]" value="" /> <input id="name[n1]" type="text" name="name[n1]" value="" /> So than we will proceed form, we will know what rows to update and what to add (if index starts with "n" - new, if index is number - existent element). I tried subforms... but do I have to create subform for each field? Activity is paused is written in the onPause Method and Activity is resuming in the onResume method of the activity. I googled a little bit for the error message but I don't fully understand the meaning of it. I think it could mean that the old Activity is not properly destroyed after changing the screen orientation. Is this correct? If yes what causes the error? If this is not correct? What is the meaning of this output?
