  • Remote interface lookup-problem in Glassfish3

    - by andersmo
    I have deployed a war-file, with actionclasses and a facade, and a jar-file with ejb-components (a stateless bean, a couple of entities and a persistence.xml) on glassfish3. My problem is that i cant find my remote interface to the stateless bean from my facade. My bean and interface looks like: @Remote public interface RecordService {... @Stateless(name="RecordServiceBean", mappedName="ejb/RecordServiceJNDI") public class RecordServiceImpl implements RecordService { @PersistenceContext(unitName="record_persistence_ctx") private EntityManager em;... and if i look in the server.log the portable jndi looks like: Portable JNDI names for EJB RecordServiceBean : [java:global/recordEjb/RecordServiceBean, java:global/recordEjb/RecordServiceBean!domain.service.RecordService]|#] and my facade: ...InitialContext ctx= new InitialContext(); try{ recordService = (RecordService) ctx.lookup("java:global/recordEjb/RecordServiceBean!domain.service.RecordService"); } catch(Throwable t){ System.out.println("ooops"); try{ recordService = (RecordService)ctx.lookup("java:global/recordEjb/RecordServiceImpl"); } catch(Throwable t2){ System.out.println("noooo!"); }... } and when the facade makes the first call this exception occur: javax.naming.NamingException: Lookup failed for 'java:global/recordEjb/RecordServiceBean!domain.service.RecordService' in SerialContext [Root exception is javax.naming.NamingException: ejb ref resolution error for remote business interfacedomain.service.RecordService [Root exception is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: domain.service.RecordService]] and the second call: javax.naming.NamingException: Lookup failed for 'java:global/recordEjb/RecordServiceBean' in SerialContext [Root exception is javax.naming.NamingException: ejb ref resolution error for remote business interfacedomain.service.RecordService [Root exception is java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: domain.service.RecordService]] I have also tested to inject the bean with the @EJB-annotation: @EJB(name="RecordServiceBean") private RecordService recordService; But that doesnt work either. What have i missed? I tried with an ejb-jar.xml but that shouldnt be nessesary. Is there anyone who can tell me how to fix this problem?

  • Spring MVC: Where to place validation and how to validation entity references.

    - by arrages
    Let's say I have the following command bean for creating a user: public class CreateUserCommand { private String userName; private String email; private Integer occupationId; pirvate Integer countryId; } occupationId and countryId are drop down selected values on the form. They map to an entity in the database (Occupation, Country). This command object is going to be fed to a service facade like so: userServiceFacade.createUser(CreateUserCommand command); This facade will construct a user entity to be sent to the actual service. So I suppose that in the facade layer I will have to make several dao calls to map all the lookup properties of the User entity. Based on this what is the best strategy to validate that occupationId and countryId map to real entities? Where is the best place to perform this validation? There is the spring validator but I am not sure this is the best place for this, for one I am wary of this method as validation is tied to the web tier, but also that means I would need to make the dao calls in the validator for validation but I would need to call the dao's in the facade layer again when the command - entity translation occurs. Is there anything I can do better? Thanks.

  • Setting up a Carousel Component in ADF Mobile

    - by Shay Shmeltzer
    The Carousel component is one of the slickier ways of showing collections of data, and on a mobile device it works really great with the finger swipe gesture. Using the Carousel component in ADF Mobile is similar to using it in regular web ADF applications, with one major change - right now you can't drag a collection from the data control palette and drop it as a carousel. So here is a quick work around for that, and details about setting up carousels in your application. First thing you'll need is a data control that returns an array of records. In my demo I'm using the Emps collection that you can get from following this tutorial. Then you drag the emps and drop it in your amx page as an ADF mobile iterator. We are doing this as a short cut to getting the right binding needed for a carousel in our page. If you look now in your page's binding you'll see something like this: You can now remark the whole iterator code in your page's source. Next let's add the carousel From the component palette drag the carousel (from the data view category) to the page. Next drag a carousel item and drop it in the nodestamp facet of the carousel. Now we'll hook up the carousel to the binding we got from the iterator - this is quite simple just copy the var and value attributes from the iterator tag to the carousel tag: var="row" value="#{bindings.emps.collectionModel}" Next drop a panelForm, or another layout panel in to the carousel item. Into that panelForm you can now drop items and bind their value property to row.attributeNames - basically copying the way it is in the fields in the iterator for example: value="#{row.hireDate}". By the way you can also copy other attributes like the label. And that's it. Your code should end up looking something like this:     <amx:carousel id="c1" var="row" value="#{bindings.emps.collectionModel}">      <amx:facet name="nodeStamp">        <amx:carouselItem id="ci1">          <amx:panelFormLayout id="pfl1">            <amx:inputText label="#{bindings.emps.hints.salary.label}" value="#{row.salary}" id="it1"/>            <amx:inputText label="#{bindings.emps.hints.name.label}" value="#{row.name}" id="it2"/>          </amx:panelFormLayout>        </amx:carouselItem>      </amx:facet>    </amx:carousel> And when you run your application it will look like this:

  • Error Installing COM+ (Error Code: 80131501)

    - by Regina Foo
    I've written a class library that reads from an xml file and return the result as a string. But when I want to install it as a COM+ component, an error occurred (Error Code: 80131501). I checked the event log and the details of the error is: Installation of 'C:\Users\User\Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Projects\InteropSOA\InteropSOA\bin\Debug\InteropSOA.dll' into '{28E82165-AD74-4E16-90C9-0C5CE7DA97AA}' failed with an exception: System.EnterpriseServices.RegistrationException: FATAL: Could not find component 'InteropSOA.ConfigReader' we just installed. at System.EnterpriseServices.RegistrationDriver.InstallAssembly(RegistrationConfig regConfig, Object obSync) at System.EnterpriseServices.RegistrationHelper.InstallAssemblyFromConfig(RegistrationConfig& regConfig) at System.EnterpriseServices.RegistrationHelper.InstallAssembly(String assembly, String& application, String partition, String& tlb, InstallationFlags installFlags) at System.EnterpriseServices.Internal.ComManagedImportUtil.InstallAssembly(String asmpath, String parname, String appname) Below are the steps I've done while developing the class library: Added "System.EnterpriseServices" to Reference. Imported the reference to the class. Declared the class as "ServicedComponent". Set project properties ("Make assembly COM-visible" checked, "Register for COM Interop" checked, Signed the assembly with a strong key file name.) • Help with infrequent segmentation fault in accessing boost::unordered_multimap or struct

    - by Sarah
    I'm having trouble debugging a segmentation fault. I'd appreciate tips on how to go about narrowing in on the problem. The error appears when an iterator tries to access an element of a struct Infection, defined as: struct Infection { public: explicit Infection( double it, double rt ) : infT( it ), recT( rt ) {} double infT; // infection start time double recT; // scheduled recovery time }; These structs are kept in a special structure, InfectionMap: typedef boost::unordered_multimap< int, Infection > InfectionMap; Every member of class Host has an InfectionMap carriage. Recovery times and associated host identifiers are kept in a priority queue. When a scheduled recovery event arises in the simulation for a particular strain s in a particular host, the program searches through carriage of that host to find the Infection whose recT matches the recovery time (double recoverTime). (For reasons that aren't worth going into, it's not as expedient for me to use recT as the key to InfectionMap; the strain s is more useful, and coinfections with the same strain are possible.) assert( carriage.size() > 0 ); pair<InfectionMap::iterator,InfectionMap::iterator> ret = carriage.equal_range( s ); InfectionMap::iterator it; for ( it = ret.first; it != ret.second; it++ ) { if ( ((*it).second).recT == recoverTime ) { // produces seg fault carriage.erase( it ); } } I get a "Program received signal EXC_BAD_ACCESS, Could not access memory. Reason: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at address..." on the line specified above. The recoverTime is fine, and the assert(...) in the code is not tripped. As I said, this seg fault appears 'randomly' after thousands of successful recovery events. How would you go about figuring out what's going on? I'd love ideas about what could be wrong and how I can further investigate the problem. Update I added a new assert and a check just inside the for loop: assert( carriage.size() > 0 ); assert( carriage.count( s ) > 0 ); pair<InfectionMap::iterator,InfectionMap::iterator> ret = carriage.equal_range( s ); InfectionMap::iterator it; cout << "carriage.count(" << s << ")=" << carriage.count(s) << endl; for ( it = ret.first; it != ret.second; it++ ) { cout << "(*it).first=" << (*it).first << endl; // error here if ( ((*it).second).recT == recoverTime ) { carriage.erase( it ); } } The EXC_BAD_ACCESS error now appears at the (*it).first call, again after many thousands of successful recoveries. Can anyone give me tips on how to figure out how this problem arises? I'm trying to use gdb. Frame 0 from the backtrace reads "#0 0x0000000100001d50 in Host::recover (this=0x100530d80, s=0, recoverTime=635.91148029170529) at Host.cpp:317" I'm not sure what useful information I can extract here. Update 2 I added a break; after the carriage.erase(it). This works, but I have no idea why (e.g., why it would remove the seg fault at (*it).first.

  • Iterating Collection In Two Threads

    - by ChloeRadshaw
    This question relates both to C# and Java If you have a collection which is not modified and that collection reference is shared between two threads what happens when you iterate on each thread?? ThreadA: Collection.iterator ThreadA: Collection.moveNext ThreadB: Collection.iterator ThreadB: Collection.moveNext Will threadB see the first element? Is the iterator always reset when it is requested? What happens if this is interleaved so movenext and item is interleaved? Is there a danger that you dont process all elements??

  • richfaces suggestionBox passing additional values to backing bean

    - by Martlark
    When using the rich faces suggestionBox how can you pass more than one id or value from the page with the text input to the suggestionBox backing bean. ie: to show a list of suggested cities within a selected state? Here is my autoComplete method. public List< Suburb > autocomplete(Object suggest) { String pref = (String) suggest; ArrayList< Suburb > result = new ArrayList< Suburb >(); Iterator< Suburb > iterator = getSuburbs().iterator(); while( iterator.hasNext() ) { Suburb elem = ((Suburb) iterator.next()); if( (elem.getName() != null && elem.getName().toLowerCase().indexOf( pref.toLowerCase() ) == 0) || "".equals( pref ) ) { result.add( elem ); } } return result; } As you can see there is one value passed from the page, Object suggest, which is the text of the h:inputText (in the faceLets m:textFormRow ) <m:textFormRow id="suburb" label="#{msgs.suburbPrompt}" property="#{bean[dto].addressDTO.suburb}" required="true" maxlength="100" size="30" /> <rich:suggestionbox height="200" width="200" usingSuggestObjects="true" suggestionAction="#{suburbsMBean.autocomplete}" var="suburb" for="suburb" fetchValue="#{suburb.name}" id="suggestion"> <h:column> <h:outputText value="#{suburb.name}" /> </h:column> </rich:suggestionbox> Earlier in the page you can select a state which I'd like to use to pare down the list of suburbs that the suggestion box displays.

  • How do i translate this to "simpler" JavaScript?

    - by Julian Weimer
    Since i'm working with Titanium i realzed that its current JavaScript Interpreter doesn't accept specific coding-styles. So for for-loops and if-statements i have to have braces, even though i only want to span one line. Furthermore there is more i have to change if i want to use a Javascript Library like underscore.js. This is what Titanium doesn't want to see: if (!(result = result && iterator.call(context, value, index, list))) {_.breakLoop();} if (nativeSome && obj.some === nativeSome) {return obj.some(iterator, context);} var computed = iterator ? iterator.call(context, value, index, list) : value; computed >= result.computed && (result = {value : value, computed : computed}); Can i use a simpler syntax to describe the logic behind those lines of code?

Is it because it calls the member function begin()?

  • How is the syntax for stl iterators implemented?

    - by Liberalkid
    I've been working on writing a library in my spare time to familiarize myself more with c++ and singular value decomposition. I've been working on writing an Iterator class and I'm entirely capable of writing the functionality and I have already for my own currently MatrixIterator class. I'm guessing that it involves namespaces because: vector<int>::iterator Would appear to be an iterator from the namespace vector, but namespaces are another topic which I'm not familiar with. Mainly I'm asking what would it involve to implement an iterator such that it could be referenced in a similar way to the stl iterators. I'm also aware that I could use boost.iterators or something similar to save myself a lot of work, but I'm more interested in learning all of the details that go into something like this.

  • Usage of setInfoClass() on DirectoryIterator vs on RecursiveDirectoryIterator

    - by Gordon
    I've ran into an inconsistent behavior when using setInfoClass to set a custom SplFileInfo class to a DirectoryIterator versus setting it to a RecursiveIterator. The method description states: Use this method to set a custom class which will be used when getFileInfo and getPathInfo are called. The class name passed to this method must be derived from SplFileInfo. Consider this custom SplFileInfo class A extends SplFileInfo { public function test() { printf("I am of class %s\n", __CLASS__); } } and my iterators $iterator = new DirectoryIterator('.'); and $iterator = new RecursiveDirectoryIterator('.'); Now I'd expect those two to behave the same when I do $iterator->setInfoClass('A'); foreach($iterator as $file) { $file->test(); } and output 'I am of A' for each $file encountered and in fact, the RecursiveDirectoryIterator will do that. But the DirectoryIterator will raise Fatal error: Call to undefined method DirectoryIterator::test() so apparently the InfoClass does not get applied when iterating over the files. At least not directly, because when I change the code in the foreach loop to $file->getPathInfo()->test(); it will work for the DirectoryIterator. But then the RecursiveDirectoryIterator will raise Fatal error: Call to undefined method SplFileInfo::test() Like I said, I'd expect those two to behave the same, but apparently getFileInfo and getPathInfo don't get called in the DirectoryIterator, which I consider a bug. So if there is any Iterator experts out there, please help me understand this. Thanks.

  • C++ Iterators and inheritance

    - by jomnis
    Have a quick question about what would be the best way to implement iterators in the following: Say I have a templated base class 'List' and two subclasses "ListImpl1" and "ListImpl2". The basic requirement of the base class is to be iterable i.e. I can do: for(List<T>::iterator it = list->begin(); it != list->end(); it++){ ... } I also want to allow iterator addition e.g.: for(List<T>::iterator it = list->begin()+5; it != list->end(); it++){ ... } So the problem is that the implementation of the iterator for ListImpl1 will be different to that for ListImpl2. I got around this by using a wrapper ListIterator containing a pointer to a ListIteratorImpl with subclasses ListIteratorImpl2 and ListIteratorImpl2, but it's all getting pretty messy, especially when you need to implement operator+ in the ListIterator. Any thoughts on a better design to get around these issues?

When I execute it I am getting the answer, but the output is not in the original order, it is shuffled. How can I output the strings in the original order?

    Okay I have a really annoying error. Its coming from my retainAll method. The problem is that I am outputting 1,3,5 in ints at the end, but I need 1,3,5,7,9. Here is the code below for the MySet and driver classes public class MySetTester { public static void main(String[]args) { MySet<String> strings = new MySet<String>(); strings.add("Hey!"); strings.add("Hey!"); strings.add("Hey!"); strings.add("Hey!"); strings.add("Hey!"); strings.add("Listen!"); strings.add("Listen!"); strings.add("Sorry, I couldn't resist."); strings.add("Sorry, I couldn't resist."); strings.add("(you know you would if you could)"); System.out.println("Testing add:\n"); System.out.println("Your size: " + strings.size() + ", contains(Sorry): " + strings.contains("Sorry, I couldn't resist.")); System.out.println("Exp. size: 4, contains(Sorry): true\n"); MySet<String> moreStrings = new MySet<String>(); moreStrings.add("Sorry, I couldn't resist."); moreStrings.add("(you know you would if you could)"); strings.removeAll(moreStrings); System.out.println("Testing remove and removeAll:\n"); System.out.println("Your size: " + strings.size() + ", contains(Sorry): " + strings.contains("Sorry, I couldn't resist.")); System.out.println("Exp. size: 2, contains(Sorry): false\n"); MySet<Integer> ints = new MySet<Integer>(); for (int i = 0; i < 100; i++) { ints.add(i); } System.out.println("Your size: " + ints.size()); System.out.println("Exp. size: 100\n"); for (int i = 0; i < 100; i += 2) { ints.remove(i); } System.out.println("Your size: " + ints.size()); System.out.println("Exp. size: 50\n"); MySet<Integer> zeroThroughNine = new MySet<Integer>(); for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) { zeroThroughNine.add(i); } ints.retainAll(zeroThroughNine); System.out.println("ints should now only retain odd numbers" + " 0 through 10\n"); System.out.println("Testing your iterator:\n"); for (Integer i : ints) { System.out.println(i); } System.out.println("\nExpected: \n\n1 \n3 \n5 \n7 \n9\n"); System.out.println("Yours:"); for (String s : strings) { System.out.println(s); } System.out.println("\nExpected: \nHey! \nListen!"); strings.clear(); System.out.println("\nClearing your set...\n"); System.out.println("Your set is empty: " + strings.isEmpty()); System.out.println("Exp. set is empty: true"); } } And here is the main code. But still read the top part because that's where my examples are. import java.util.Set; import java.util.Collection; import java.lang.Iterable; import java.util.Iterator; import java.util.Arrays; import java.lang.reflect.Array; public class MySet implements Set, Iterable { // instance variables - replace the example below with your own private E[] backingArray; private int numElements; /** * Constructor for objects of class MySet */ public MySet() { backingArray=(E[]) new Object[5]; numElements=0; } public boolean add(E e){ for(Object elem:backingArray){ if (elem==null ? e==null : elem.equals(e)){ return false; } } if(numElements==backingArray.length){ E[] newArray=Arrays.copyOf(backingArray,backingArray.length*2); newArray[numElements]=e; numElements=numElements+1; backingArray=newArray; return true; } else{ backingArray[numElements]=e; numElements=numElements+1; return true; } } public boolean addAll(Collection<? extends E> c){ for(E elem:c){ this.add(elem); } return true; } public void clear(){ E[] newArray=(E[])new Object[backingArray.length]; numElements=0; backingArray=newArray; } public boolean equals(Object o){ if(o instanceof Set &&(((Set)o).size()==numElements)){ for(E elem:(Set<E>)o){ if (this.contains(o)==false){ return false; } return true; } } return false; } public boolean contains(Object o){ for(E backingElem:backingArray){ if (o!=null && o.equals(backingElem)){ return true; } } return false; } public boolean containsAll(Collection<?> c){ for(E elem:(Set<E>)c){ if(!(this.contains(elem))){ return false; } } return true; } public int hashCode(){ int sum=0; for(E elem:backingArray){ if(elem!=null){ sum=sum+elem.hashCode(); } } return sum; } public boolean isEmpty(){ if(numElements==0){ return true; } else{ return false; } } public boolean remove(Object o){ int i=0; for(Object elem:backingArray){ if(o!=null && o.equals(elem)){ backingArray[i]=null; numElements=numElements-1; E[] newArray=Arrays.copyOf(backingArray,backingArray.length-1); return true; } i=i+1; } return false; } public boolean removeAll(Collection<?> c){ for(Object elem:c){ this.remove(elem); } return true; } public boolean retainAll(Collection<?> c){ MySet<E> removalArray=new MySet<E>(); for(E arrayElem:backingArray){ if(arrayElem!= null && !(c.contains(arrayElem))){ this.remove(arrayElem); } } return false; } public int size(){ return numElements; } public <T> T[] toArray(T[] a) throws ArrayStoreException,NullPointerException{ for(int i=0;i<numElements;i++){ a[i]=(T)backingArray[i]; } for(int j=numElements;j<a.length;j++){ a[j]=null; } return a; } public Object[] toArray(){ Object[] newArray=new Object[numElements]; for(int i=0;i<numElements;i++){ newArray[i]=backingArray[i]; } return newArray; } public Iterator<E> iterator(){ setIterator iterator=new setIterator(); return iterator; } private class setIterator implements Iterator<E>{ private int currIndex; private E lastElement; public setIterator(){ currIndex=0; lastElement=null; } public boolean hasNext(){ while(currIndex<=numElements && backingArray[currIndex]==null){ currIndex=currIndex+1; } if (currIndex<=numElements){ return true; } return false; } public E next(){ E element=backingArray[currIndex]; currIndex=currIndex+1; lastElement=element; return element; } public void remove() throws UnsupportedOperationException,IllegalStateException{ if(lastElement!=null){ MySet.this.remove((Object)lastElement); numElements=numElements-1; } else{ throw new IllegalStateException(); } } } } I've been able to reduce the problems, but otherwise this thing is still causing problems.

  • Email Content creation | Proper design

    - by Umesh Awasthi
    Working on an E commerce application where we need to send so many email to customer like Registration email Forget Password Order placed There are many other emails that can be sent, I already have emailService in place which is responsible for sending email and It needs an Email object, Everything is working find, but I am struck at one point and not sure how best this can be done. We need to create content so as it can be passed to emailService and not sure how to design this. For example, in Customer registration, I have a customerFacade which is working between Controller and ServiceLayer, I just want to delegate this Email Content creation work away from Facade layer and to make it more flexible. Currently I am creating Registration email content inside customerFacade and some how I am not liking this way, since that means for each email, I need to create content in respective Facade. What is best way to go or current approach is fine enough?

  • What types of objects should the ViewModel reference in the MVVM pattern?

    - by Blanthor
    I've seen quite a few examples of MVVM. I can see that the View should reference the ViewModel. I've seen recently an example of a ViewModel referencing a View, which seems wrong to me, as it would result in tighter coupling. Given that ViewModel is often described as an intermediary between the View and the Model, is there more to the ViewModel than a facade to domain objects? I hope I used the term "facade" correctly here.

  • Java Cloud Service Integration to REST Service

    - by Jani Rautiainen
    Service (JCS) provides a platform to develop and deploy business applications in the cloud. In Fusion Applications Cloud deployments customers do not have the option to deploy custom applications developed with JDeveloper to ensure the integrity and supportability of the hosted application service. Instead the custom applications can be deployed to the JCS and integrated to the Fusion Application Cloud instance. This series of articles will go through the features of JCS, provide end-to-end examples on how to develop and deploy applications on JCS and how to integrate them with the Fusion Applications instance. In this article a custom application integrating with REST service will be implemented. We will use REST services provided by Taleo as an example; however the same approach will work with any REST service. In this example the data from the REST service is used to populate a dynamic table. Pre-requisites Access to Cloud instance In order to deploy the application access to a JCS instance is needed, a free trial JCS instance can be obtained from Oracle Cloud site. To register you will need a credit card even if the credit card will not be charged. To register simply click "Try it" and choose the "Java" option. The confirmation email will contain the connection details. See this video for example of the registration.Once the request is processed you will be assigned 2 service instances; Java and Database. Applications deployed to the JCS must use Oracle Database Cloud Service as their underlying database. So when JCS instance is created a database instance is associated with it using a JDBC data source.The cloud services can be monitored and managed through the web UI. For details refer to Getting Started with Oracle Cloud. JDeveloper JDeveloper contains Cloud specific features related to e.g. connection and deployment. To use these features download the JDeveloper from JDeveloper download site by clicking the "Download JDeveloper 11.1.1.7.1 for ADF deployment on Oracle Cloud" link, this version of JDeveloper will have the JCS integration features that will be used in this article. For versions that do not include the Cloud integration features the Oracle Java Cloud Service SDK or the JCS Java Console can be used for deployment. For details on installing and configuring the JDeveloper refer to the installation guideFor details on SDK refer to Using the Command-Line Interface to Monitor Oracle Java Cloud Service and Using the Command-Line Interface to Manage Oracle Java Cloud Service. Access to a local database The database associated with the JCS instance cannot be connected to with JDBC.  Since creating ADFbc business component requires a JDBC connection we will need access to a local database. 3rd party libraries This example will use some 3rd party libraries for implementing the REST service call and processing the input / output content. Other libraries may also be used, however these are tested to work. Jersey 1.x Jersey library will be used as a client to make the call to the REST service. JCS documentation for supported specifications states: Java API for RESTful Web Services (JAX-RS) 1.1 So Jersey 1.x will be used. Download the single-JAR Jersey bundle; in this example Jersey 1.18 JAR bundle is used. Json-simple Jjson-simple library will be used to process the json objects. Download the  JAR file; in this example json-simple-1.1.1.jar is used. Accessing data in Taleo Before implementing the application it is beneficial to familiarize oneself with the data in Taleo. Easiest way to do this is by using a RESTClient on your browser. Once added to the browser you can access the UI: The client can be used to call the REST services to test the URLs and data before adding them into the application. First derive the base URL for the service this can be done with: Method: GET URL: https://tbe.taleo.net/MANAGER/dispatcher/api/v1/serviceUrl/<company name> The response will contain the base URL to be used for the service calls for the company. Next obtain authentication token with: Method: POST URL: https://ch.tbe.taleo.net/CH07/ats/api/v1/login?orgCode=<company>&userName=<user name>&password=<password> The response includes an authentication token that can be used for few hours to authenticate with the service: {   "response": {     "authToken": "webapi26419680747505890557"   },   "status": {     "detail": {},     "success": true   } } To authenticate the service calls navigate to "Headers -> Custom Header": And add a new request header with: Name: Cookie Value: authToken=webapi26419680747505890557 Once authentication token is defined the tool can be used to invoke REST services; for example: Method: GET URL: https://ch.tbe.taleo.net/CH07/ats/api/v1/object/candidate/search.xml?status=16 This data will be used on the application to be created. For details on the Taleo REST services refer to the Taleo Business Edition REST API Guide. Create Application First Fusion Web Application is created and configured. Start JDeveloper and click "New Application": Application Name: JcsRestDemo Application Package Prefix: oracle.apps.jcs.test Application Template: Fusion Web Application (ADF) Configure Local Cloud Connection Follow the steps documented in the "Java Cloud Service ADF Web Application" article to configure a local database connection needed to create the ADFbc objects. Configure Libraries Add the 3rd party libraries into the class path. Create the following directory and copy the jar files into it: <JDEV_USER_HOME>/JcsRestDemo/lib  Select the "Model" project, navigate "Application -> Project Properties -> Libraries and Classpath -> Add JAR / Directory" and add the 2 3rd party libraries: Accessing Data from Taleo To access data from Taleo using the REST service the 3rd party libraries will be used. 2 Java classes are implemented, one representing the Candidate object and another for accessing the Taleo repository Candidate Candidate object is a POJO object used to represent the candidate data obtained from the Taleo repository. The data obtained will be used to populate the ADFbc object used to display the data on the UI. The candidate object contains simply the variables we obtain using the REST services and the getters / setters for them: Navigate "New -> General -> Java -> Java Class", enter "Candidate" as the name and create it in the package "oracle.apps.jcs.test.model".  Copy / paste the following as the content: import oracle.jbo.domain.Number; public class Candidate { private Number candId; private String firstName; private String lastName; public Candidate() { super(); } public Candidate(Number candId, String firstName, String lastName) { super(); this.candId = candId; this.firstName = firstName; this.lastName = lastName; } public void setCandId(Number candId) { this.candId = candId; } public Number getCandId() { return candId; } public void setFirstName(String firstName) { this.firstName = firstName; } public String getFirstName() { return firstName; } public void setLastName(String lastName) { this.lastName = lastName; } public String getLastName() { return lastName; } } Taleo Repository Taleo repository class will interact with the Taleo REST services. The logic will query data from Taleo and populate Candidate objects with the data. The Candidate object will then be used to populate the ADFbc object used to display data on the UI. Navigate "New -> General -> Java -> Java Class", enter "TaleoRepository" as the name and create it in the package "oracle.apps.jcs.test.model".  Copy / paste the following as the content (for details of the implementation refer to the documentation in the code): import com.sun.jersey.api.client.Client; import com.sun.jersey.api.client.ClientResponse; import com.sun.jersey.api.client.WebResource; import com.sun.jersey.core.util.MultivaluedMapImpl; import java.io.StringReader; import java.util.ArrayList; import java.util.Iterator; import java.util.List; import java.util.Map; import javax.ws.rs.core.MediaType; import javax.ws.rs.core.MultivaluedMap; import oracle.jbo.domain.Number; import org.json.simple.JSONArray; import org.json.simple.JSONObject; import org.json.simple.parser.JSONParser; /** * This class interacts with the Taleo REST services */ public class TaleoRepository { /** * Connection information needed to access the Taleo services */ String _company = null; String _userName = null; String _password = null; /** * Jersey client used to access the REST services */ Client _client = null; /** * Parser for processing the JSON objects used as * input / output for the services */ JSONParser _parser = null; /** * The base url for constructing the REST URLs. For this example we will create a "Transient" view object that will be programmatically populated based the data obtained from Taleo REST services. Creating ADFbc objects Choose the "Model" project and navigate "New -> Business Tier : ADF Business Components : View Object". On the "Initialize Business Components Project" choose the local database connection created in previous step. On Step 1 enter "JcsRestDemoVO" on the "Name" and choose "Rows populated programmatically, not based on query": On step 2 create the following attributes: CandId Type: Number Updatable: Always Key Attribute: checked Name Type: String Updatable: Always On steps 3 and 4 accept defaults and click "Next".  On step 5 check the "Application Module" checkbox and enter "JcsRestDemoAM" as the name: Click "Finish" to generate the objects. Populating the VO To display the data on the UI the "transient VO" is populated programmatically based on the data obtained from the Taleo REST services. Open the "JcsRestDemoVOImpl.java". Copy / paste the following as the content (for details of the implementation refer to the documentation in the code): import java.sql.ResultSet; import java.util.List; import java.util.ListIterator; import oracle.jbo.server.ViewObjectImpl; import oracle.jbo.server.ViewRowImpl; import oracle.jbo.server.ViewRowSetImpl; // --------------------------------------------------------------------- // --- File generated by Oracle ADF Business Components Design Time. // --- Tue Feb 18 09:40:25 PST 2014 // --- Custom code may be added to this class. // --- Warning: Do not modify method signatures of generated methods. // --------------------------------------------------------------------- public class JcsRestDemoVOImpl extends ViewObjectImpl { /** * This is the default constructor (do not remove). */ public JcsRestDemoVOImpl() { } @Override public void executeQuery() { /** * For some reason we need to reset everything, otherwise * 2nd entry to the UI screen may fail with * "java.util.NoSuchElementException" in createRowFromResultSet * call to "candidates.next()". I am not sure why this is happening * as the Iterator is new and "hasNext" is true at the point * of the execution. My theory is that since the iterator object is * exactly the same the VO cache somehow reuses the iterator including * the pointer that has already exhausted the iterable elements on the * previous run. Working around the issue * here by cleaning out everything on the VO every time before query * is executed on the VO. */ getViewDef().setQuery(null); getViewDef().setSelectClause(null); setQuery(null); this.reset(); this.clearCache(); super.executeQuery(); } /** * executeQueryForCollection - overridden for custom java data source support. */ protected void executeQueryForCollection(Object qc, Object[] params, int noUserParams) { /** * Integrate with the Taleo REST services using TaleoRepository class. * A list of candidates matching a hard coded query is obtained. */ TaleoRepository repository = new TaleoRepository(<company>, <username>, <password>); List<Candidate> candidates = repository.getCandidates(); /** * Store iterator for the candidates as user data on the collection. * This will be used in createRowFromResultSet to create rows based on * the custom iterator. */ ListIterator<Candidate> candidatescIterator = candidates.listIterator(); setUserDataForCollection(qc, candidatescIterator); super.executeQueryForCollection(qc, params, noUserParams); } /** * hasNextForCollection - overridden for custom java data source support. */ protected boolean hasNextForCollection(Object qc) { boolean result = false; /** * Determines whether there are candidates for which to create a row */ ListIterator<Candidate> candidates = (ListIterator<Candidate>)getUserDataForCollection(qc); result = candidates.hasNext(); /** * If all candidates to be created indicate that processing is done */ if (!result) { setFetchCompleteForCollection(qc, true); } return result; } /** * createRowFromResultSet - overridden for custom java data source support. */ protected ViewRowImpl createRowFromResultSet(Object qc, ResultSet resultSet) { /** * Obtain the next candidate from the collection and create a row * for it. */ ListIterator<Candidate> candidates = (ListIterator<Candidate>)getUserDataForCollection(qc); ViewRowImpl row = createNewRowForCollection(qc); try { Candidate candidate = candidates.next(); row.setAttribute("CandId", candidate.getCandId()); row.setAttribute("Name", candidate.getFirstName() + " " + candidate.getLastName()); } catch (Exception e) { e.printStackTrace(); } return row; } /** * getQueryHitCount - overridden for custom java data source support. */ public long getQueryHitCount(ViewRowSetImpl viewRowSet) { /** * For this example this is not implemented rather we always return 0. */ return 0; } } Creating UI Choose the "ViewController" project and navigate "New -> Web Tier : JSF : JSF Page". On the "Create JSF Page" enter "JcsRestDemo" as name and ensure that the "Create as XML document (*.jspx)" is checked.  Open "JcsRestDemo.jspx" and navigate to "Data Controls -> JcsRestDemoAMDataControl -> JcsRestDemoVO1" and drag & drop the VO to the "<af:form> " as a "ADF Read-only Table": Accept the defaults in "Edit Table Columns". To execute the query navigate to to "Data Controls -> JcsRestDemoAMDataControl -> JcsRestDemoVO1 -> Operations -> Execute" and drag & drop the operation to the "<af:form> " as a "Button": Deploying to JCS Follow the same steps as documented in previous article"Java Cloud Service ADF Web Application". Once deployed the application can be accessed with URL: https://java-[identity domain].java.[data center].oraclecloudapps.com/JcsRestDemo-ViewController-context-root/faces/JcsRestDemo.jspx The UI displays a list of candidates obtained from the Taleo REST Services: Summary In this article we learned how to integrate with REST services using Jersey library in JCS. In future articles various other integration techniques will be covered.

  • Making an asynchronous Client with boost::asio

    - by tag
    Hello, i'm trying to make an asynchronous Client with boost::asio, i use the daytime asynchronous Server(in the tutorial). However sometimes the Client don't receive the Message, sometimes it do :O I'm sorry if this is too much Code, but i don't know what's wrong :/ Client: #include <iostream> #include <stdio.h> #include <ostream> #include <boost/thread.hpp> #include <boost/bind.hpp> #include <boost/array.hpp> #include <boost/asio.hpp> using namespace std; using boost::asio::ip::tcp; class TCPClient { public: TCPClient(boost::asio::io_service& IO_Service, tcp::resolver::iterator EndPointIter); void Write(); void Close(); private: boost::asio::io_service& m_IOService; tcp::socket m_Socket; boost::array<char, 128> m_Buffer; size_t m_BufLen; private: void OnConnect(const boost::system::error_code& ErrorCode, tcp::resolver::iterator EndPointIter); void OnReceive(const boost::system::error_code& ErrorCode); void DoClose(); }; TCPClient::TCPClient(boost::asio::io_service& IO_Service, tcp::resolver::iterator EndPointIter) : m_IOService(IO_Service), m_Socket(IO_Service) { tcp::endpoint EndPoint = *EndPointIter; m_Socket.async_connect(EndPoint, boost::bind(&TCPClient::OnConnect, this, boost::asio::placeholders::error, ++EndPointIter)); } void TCPClient::Close() { m_IOService.post( boost::bind(&TCPClient::DoClose, this)); } void TCPClient::OnConnect(const boost::system::error_code& ErrorCode, tcp::resolver::iterator EndPointIter) { if (ErrorCode == 0) // Successful connected { m_Socket.async_receive(boost::asio::buffer(m_Buffer.data(), m_BufLen), boost::bind(&TCPClient::OnReceive, this, boost::asio::placeholders::error)); } else if (EndPointIter != tcp::resolver::iterator()) { m_Socket.close(); tcp::endpoint EndPoint = *EndPointIter; m_Socket.async_connect(EndPoint, boost::bind(&TCPClient::OnConnect, this, boost::asio::placeholders::error, ++EndPointIter)); } } void TCPClient::OnReceive(const boost::system::error_code& ErrorCode) { if (ErrorCode == 0) { std::cout << m_Buffer.data() << std::endl; m_Socket.async_receive(boost::asio::buffer(m_Buffer.data(), m_BufLen), boost::bind(&TCPClient::OnReceive, this, boost::asio::placeholders::error)); } else { DoClose(); } } void TCPClient::DoClose() { m_Socket.close(); } int main() { try { boost::asio::io_service IO_Service; tcp::resolver Resolver(IO_Service); tcp::resolver::query Query("127.0.0.1", "daytime"); tcp::resolver::iterator EndPointIterator = Resolver.resolve(Query); TCPClient Client(IO_Service, EndPointIterator); boost::thread ClientThread( boost::bind(&boost::asio::io_service::run, &IO_Service)); std::cout << "Client started." << std::endl; std::string Input; while (Input != "exit") { std::cin >> Input; } Client.Close(); ClientThread.join(); } catch (std::exception& e) { std::cerr << e.what() << std::endl; } } Server: http://www.boost.org/doc/libs/1_39_0/doc/html/boost_asio/tutorial/tutdaytime3/src.html Regards :)

  • Struts2 Populating Checkbox from Arraylist of Objects

    - by user2972139
    I'm sure that I'm doing something dumb but I've been going craze over the last couple of days trying to get my checkboxes filled out inside an iterator that goes over an arraylist of object. Here is my object: public class EmailObject { int emailId; String emailAddress; public int getEmailId() { return emailId; } public void setEmailId(int emailId) { this.emailId = emailId; } public String getEmailAddress() { return emailAddress; } public void setEmailAddress(String emailAddress) { this.emailAddress = emailAddress; } } In my action class, I create an arraylist of the above EmailObjects. On my jsp page, I can get checkboxes through a checkboxlist (but this isn't good for me because I want it to be vertical and don't want to mess with the struts styles) <s:checkboxlist name="selectedEmails" list="userEmails" listValue="emailAddress" listKey="emailId" /> I can also iterate over the arraylist userEmails and display the values: <s:iterator value="userEmails" var="thisEmailData"> <s:property value="emailId"/> <s:property value="emailAddress"/> </s:iterator> But I can't get it to display the emailId when iterating over the arraylist userEmails. I tried all of these: <s:iterator value="userEmails" var="thisEmailData"> <tr><td><s:property value="emailId"/></td></tr> <tr><td> <s:checkbox fieldValue="%{#emailId}" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox fieldValue="#emailId" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox fieldValue="thisEmailData.emailId" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox fieldValue="userEmails.emailId" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox fieldValue="#thisEmailData.emailId" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox fieldValue="#userEmails.emailId" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox fieldValue="%{#thisEmailData.emailId}" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox fieldValue="%{#userEmails.emailId}" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox fieldValue="emailId" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox value="%{#emailId}" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox value="#emailId" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox value="thisEmailData.emailId" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox value="userEmails.emailId" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox value="#thisEmailData.emailId" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox value="#userEmails.emailId" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox value="%{#thisEmailData.emailId}" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox value="%{#userEmails.emailId}" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" ></s:checkbox> <s:checkbox value="emailId" name="emailAddressesCB" theme="simple" > </s:checkbox> <s:property value="emailAddress"/> </td></tr> </s:iterator> </td></tr> </s:iterator> From the above, the value field is never filled with the value of the emailId. I know I'm missing something basic. What is it? THANK YOU.
