  I'm trying to implement some functions to manipulate a linked list. The implementation is a template typename T and the class is 'List' which includes a 'head' pointer and also a struct: struct Node { // the node in a linked list T* data; // pointer to actual data, operations in T Node* next; // pointer to a Node }; Since it is a template, and 'T' can be any data, how do I go about checking the data of a list to see if it matches the data input into the function? The function is called 'retrieve' and takes two parameters, the data and a pointer: bool retrieve(T target, T*& ptr); // This is the prototype we need to use for the project "bool retrieve : similar to remove, but not removed from list. If there are duplicates in the list, the first one encountered is retrieved. Second parameter is unreliable if return value is false. E.g., " Employee target("duck", "donald"); success = company1.retrieve(target, oneEmployee); if (success) { cout << "Found in list: " << *oneEmployee << endl; } And the function is called like this: company4.retrieve(emp3, oneEmployee) So that when you cout *oneEmployee, you'll get the data of that pointer (in this case the data is of type Employee).   A requirement on OTN was to disable the dependent list box of a model driven list of value configuration whenever the list is empty. To disable the dependent list, the af:selectOneChoice component needs to be refreshed with every value change of the parent list, which however already is the case as the list boxes are already dependent. When you create model driven list of values as choice lists in an ADF Faces page, two ADF list bindings are implicitly created in the PageDef file of the page that hosts the input form. At runtime, a list binding is an instance of FacesCtrlListBinding, which exposes getItems() as a method to access a list of available child data (java.util.List). • How do I configure VMware View location-based printing to use Active Directory Groups?

  I am attempting to configure VMware View 4.5's Location-Based Printing, which leverages an included OEM version of ThinPrint, to assign printers to active directory groups. The location-based printing feature maps printers that are physically near client systems to VMware View desktops. I am using the Active Directory group policy setting AutoConnect Location-based Printing for VMware View, which is located in the Microsoft Group Policy Object Editor in the Software Settings folder under Computer Configuration. The AutoConnect Location-based Printing for VMware View appearst to be just a name translation table. It permits me to assign a specific printer or printers to an IP Range, Client Name, Mac Address, User, or User Group. I'm attempting to assign printers to active directory user groups. I have created a new active directory group for each printer that I intend to use in VMware View desktop pools. I will then assign active directory users to the active directory groups that represent each network printer. Example: doej is a member of the PTR-FLOOR2-NORTH-ROOM255 active directory group. Using AutoConnect, I assigned the group to receive a network printer by adding PTR-FLOOR2-NORTH-ROOM255 in the User/Group column. Problem: When doej logs in to his VDI session, the printer is not present. However, if I use a wildcard "*" in the User/Group column instead of the specific PTR-FLOOR2-NORTH-ROOM255 active directory group, the printer is present and functions as designed. Alternatives: I have tried assigning printers to active directory groups within AutoConnect in the following ways, all unsuccesfull: PTR-FLOOR2-NORTH-ROOM255 domainexample\PTR-FLOOR2-NORTH-ROOM255 domainexample.local\PTR-FLOOR2-NORTH-ROOM255 Confirmation: The information used to map the printer to the VMware View desktop is stored in a registry entry on the View desktop in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\thinprint\tpautoconnect. For each of these examples, I have reviewed the registry entry and can confirm that the desktop is receiving the information from the AutoConnect translation table. Summary: Can anyone provide an example of how to configure VMware View 4.5's Location-Based Printing so that I may assign network printers to active directory groups via the included AutoConnect tool? I would welcome a clear example of a working configuration. Thank you.

• How can I generate a list of appendices with LaTeX, seperate from table of contents (toc)

  LaTeX' appendix environment formats sections differently and uses a different enumeration in the table of contents: \begin{appendix} \section{superuser} \dots{} .... Shows up as       A       superuser            11 in the \tableofcontents. Unfortunately, I have to use a different style: the appendix is not to show up in the table of contents, but in a seperate listing right before the appendix. I see the following options to solve this: suppress output in tableofcontents and somehow recreate the part on a different page generate a custom listing of specified / the following section manually create a list with the same formatting of the tableofcontents I use scrartcl as document class. PS: appedix / appendices is not a tag yet

  Hello, i have another (probably unanswered) question about map views. I have a map view inside a table view cell and i want to disable the table view scrolling if the scrolling begins in the map view. Also the zooming gesture does not function normally. It only functions if the zooming gesture is done horizontally on the iphone display. The same thing happens with swiping gestures. It only affects the map if i swipe the map area horizontally. If i swipe vertically the table view scrolls instead, and i want to disable that. Any ides how to do it?

  I've seen example com.example.android.apis.view.List11 from ApiDemos. In that example, each row takes the view android.R.simple_list_item_multiple_choice. Each such view has a TextView and a CheckBox. Now I want each view to have 2 TextView's and 1 CheckBox, somewhat similar to the List3 example.   Hello everyone, I have a scenario in my code where I need to compare two Lists and remove from the first list, objects which are present in the second list. Akin to how the "removeAll" object works for List. Since my List is created on a custom object, the removeAll method won't work for me. I have tried various methods to make this work: - implemented equals() and hashCode for the custom object comprising the list - implemented the Comparable Interface for the custom object - implemented the Comparator Interface for the custom object I've even tried using the Apache Common's CollectionUtils and ListUtils methods (subtract, intersect, removeAll). None seem to work. I understand I will perhaps need to write some custom removal code. But not sure how to go about doing that. Any pointers helping me move in the right direction will be really appreciated. Thanks, Jay

  OK, I'm confused about sql server indexed views(using 2008) I've got an indexed view called AssignmentDetail when I look at the execution plan for select * from AssignmentDetail it shows the execution plan of all the underlying indexes of all the other tables that the indexed view is supposed to abstract away. I would think that the execution plan woul simply be an clustered index scan of PK_AssignmentDetail(the name of the clustered index for my view) but it doesn't. There seems to be no performance gain with this indexed view what am I supposed to do? Should I also create a non-clustered index with all of the columns so that it doesn't have to hit all the other indexes? Any insight would be greatly appreciated

  I'm curious how others address this issue. Using VSEWSS 1.3, I have created a site content type, a list definition (w event receivers), and a list instance. All of them are in the same WSP solution and each is activated individually via features. Now let's assume that all the features have been activated for some time, and the list instance contains a number of items (that can't be deleted). Now suppose I need to make a change to the schema.xml (inject some javascript, modify views, whatever) of the list. Is it even possible to "upgrade" the schema of the existing list instance? Otherwise I would think I'm stuck creating a new instance and copying items over.

• SQL Server indexed view matching of views with joins not working

  Does anyone have experience of when SQL Servr 2008 R2 is able to automatically match indexed view (also known as materialized views) that contain joins to a query? for example the view select dbo.Orders.Date, dbo.OrderDetails.ProductID from dbo.OrderDetails join dbo.Orders on dbo.OrderDetails.OrderID = dbo.Orders.ID cannot be automatically matched to the same exact query. When I select directly from this view ith (noexpand) I actually get a much faster query plan that does a scan on the clustered index of the indexed view. Can I get SQL Server to do this matching automatically? I have quite a few queries and views... I am on enterprise edition of SQL Server 2008 R2.

  I have the following list comprehension which returns a list of coordinate objects for each location. coordinate_list = [Coordinates(location.latitude, location.longitude) for location in locations] This works. Now suppose the location object has a number_of_times member. I want a list comprehension to generate n Coordinate objects where n is the number_of_times for the particular location. So if a location has number_of_times = 5 then the coordinates for that location will be repeated 5 times in the list. (Maybe this is a case for a for-loop but I'm curious if it can be done via list comprehensions)
