    - by Soham
    Hi All, I need to read a BLOB and store it in a byte[], before going forward with Deserializing; Consider: //Reading the Database with DataAdapterInstance.Fill(DataSet); DataTable dt = DataSet.Tables[0]; foreach (DataRow row in dt.Rows) { byte[] BinDate = Byte.Parse(row["Date"].ToString()); // convert successfully to byte[] } I need help in this C# statement, as I am not able to convert an object type into a byte[]. • Destructuring assignment in generator expressions and array comprehensions

    - by Eli Grey
    Why does for ([] in object); work fine but [void 0 for ([] in object)] or (void 0 for ([] in object)) throw a syntax error for invalid left-hand assignment? For example, I would expect the following code to work, but it doesn't (the assertion isn't even done due to the syntax error): let ( i = 0, arr = [1, 2, 3, 4], gen = (i for (i in arr) if (arr.hasOwnProperty(i)) ) { for ([] in gen) i++; console.assertEquals([void 0 for ([] in gen)].length, i); }

  • Declaring an array

    - by Doug
    $a[]="Anna"; $a[]="Brittany"; $a[]="Cinderella"; $a[]="Diana"; $a[]="Eva"; $a[]="Fiona"; $a[]="Gunda"; When declaring it this way, does it automatically increase the index? Why is this ideal?

  • How to handle an array of pointers in Objective-C

    - by DougW
    I figured out the answer to this question, but I couldn't find the solution on here, so posting it for posterity. So, in Objective-C, how do you create an object out of a pointer in order to store it in objective-c collections (NSArray, NSDictionary, NSSet, etc) without reverting to regular C?

  • Send jQuery array to PHP post?

    - by FFish
    I have a javascript function that gathers two arrays, imagepaths and captions. I want to send with PHP's post to the same page $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'], but I really don't know where to start.. PHP: if (isset($_POST['Submit'])) { $edit_photos->update_xml($edit_photos->album_id, $_POST['src_arr'], $_POST['caption_arr']); // prevent resending data header("Location: " . $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] . "?ref=" . $ref); } JS: function getImgData() { var imgData = { 'src_arr': [], 'caption_arr': []}; $('.album img').each(function(index){ imgData.src_arr.push($(this).attr('src')); imgData.caption_arr.push($(this).attr('alt')); }); return imgData; }; HTML: <form name="form1" method="post" action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] . "?ref=" . $ref; ?>">

  • How to pull data from a MySQL column and put it into a single array

    - by Rob
    Basically, this is what I currently use in an included file: $sites[0]['url'] = "http://example0.com"; $sites[1]['url'] = "http://example1.com"; $sites[2]['url'] = "http://example2.com"; $sites[3]['url'] = "http://example3.com"; $sites[4]['url'] = "http://example4.com"; $sites[5]['url'] = "http://example5.com"; And so I output it like so: foreach($sites as $s) But I want to make it easier to manage via a MySQL database. So my question is, how can I make it automatically add additional "$sites[x]['url'] = "http://examplex.com";" and output it appropriately from my MySQL table?

  • What to name an array of flags?

    - by Chris
    I have a project where lots of the objects hold state by maintaining simple boolean flags. There are lots of these, so I maintain them within a uint32_t and use bit masking. There are now so many flags to keep track of, I've created an abstraction for them (just a class wrapping the uint32_t) with set(), clear(), etc. My question: What's a nice accurate, concise name for this class? What name could I give this class so that you'd have a reasonable idea what it was [for] knowing the name only? Some ideas I had: FlagBank FlagArray etc Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Cheers, -Chris

  • random generator to obtain data from array not displaying

    - by Yang Jie Domodomo
    I know theres a better solution using arc4random (it's on my to-try-out-function list), but I wanted to try out using the rand() and stand(time(NULL)) function first. I've created a NSMutableArray and chuck it with 5 data. Testing out how many number it has was fine. But when I tried to use the button function to load the object it return me with object <sampleData: 0x9a2f0e0> - (IBAction)generateNumber:(id)sender { srand(time(NULL)); NSInteger number =rand()% ds.count ; label.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"object %@", [ds objectAtIndex:number] ]; NSLog(@"%@",label.text); } While I feel the main cause is the method itself, I've paste the rest of the code below just incase i made any error somewhere. ViewController.h #import <UIKit/UIKit.h> #import "sampleData.h" #import "sampleDataDAO.h" @interface ViewController : UIViewController @property (weak, nonatomic) IBOutlet UILabel *label; @property (weak, nonatomic) IBOutlet UIButton *onHitMePressed; - (IBAction)generateNumber:(id)sender; @property(nonatomic, strong) sampleDataDAO *daoDS; @property(nonatomic, strong) NSMutableArray *ds; @end ViewController.m #import "ViewController.h" @interface ViewController () @end @implementation ViewController @synthesize label; @synthesize onHitMePressed; @synthesize daoDS,ds; - (void)viewDidLoad { [super viewDidLoad]; daoDS = [[sampleDataDAO alloc] init]; self.ds = daoDS.PopulateDataSource; // Do any additional setup after loading the view, typically from a nib. } - (void)viewDidUnload { [self setLabel:nil]; [self setOnHitMePressed:nil]; [super viewDidUnload]; // Release any retained subviews of the main view. } - (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation { return (interfaceOrientation != UIInterfaceOrientationPortraitUpsideDown); } - (IBAction)generateNumber:(id)sender { srand(time(NULL)); NSInteger number =rand()% ds.count ; label.text = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"object %@", [ds objectAtIndex:number] ]; NSLog(@"%@",label.text); } @end sampleData.h #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> @interface sampleData : NSObject @property (strong,nonatomic) NSString * object; @end sampleData.m #import "sampleData.h" @implementation sampleData @synthesize object; @end sampleDataDAO.h #import <Foundation/Foundation.h> #import "sampleData.h" @interface sampleDataDAO : NSObject @property(strong,nonatomic)NSMutableArray*someDataArray; -(NSMutableArray *)PopulateDataSource; @end sampleDataDAO.m #import "sampleDataDAO.h" @implementation sampleDataDAO @synthesize someDataArray; -(NSMutableArray *)PopulateDataSource { someDataArray = [[NSMutableArray alloc]init]; sampleData * myData = [[sampleData alloc]init]; myData.object= @"object 1"; [someDataArray addObject:myData]; myData=nil; myData = [[sampleData alloc] init]; myData.object= @"object 2"; [someDataArray addObject:myData]; myData=nil; myData = [[sampleData alloc] init]; myData.object= @"object 3"; [someDataArray addObject:myData]; myData=nil; myData = [[sampleData alloc] init]; myData.object= @"object 4"; [someDataArray addObject:myData]; myData=nil; myData = [[sampleData alloc] init]; myData.object= @"object 5"; [someDataArray addObject:myData]; myData=nil; return someDataArray; } @end

  • How to retrieve JSON Data Array from ExtJS Store

    - by user291928
    Is there a method allowing me to return my stored data in an ExtJS Grid Panel exactly the way I loaded it using: var data = ["value1", "value2"] Store.loadData(data); I would like to have a user option to reload the Grid, but changes to the store need to be taken into account. The user can make changes and the grid is dynamically updated, but if I reload the grid, the data that was originally loaded is shown even though the database has been updated with the new changes. I would prefer not to reload the page and just let them reload the grid data itself with the newly changed store. I guess im looking for something like this: var data = Store.getData(); //data = ["value1", "value2"] after its all said and done. Or is there a different way to refresh the grid with new data that I am not aware of. Even using the proxy still uses the "original" data, not the new store. Thanks in advance

  • Deleting a non-owned dynamic array through a pointer

    - by ayanzo
    Hello all, I'm relatively novice when it comes to C++ as I was weened on Java for much of my undergraduate curriculum (tis a shame). Memory management has been a hassle, but I've purchased a number books on ansi C and C++. I've poked around the related questions, but couldn't find one that matched this particular criteria. Maybe it's so obvious nobody mentions it? This question has been bugging me, but I feel as if there's a conceptual point i'm not utilizing. Suppose: char original[56]; cstr[0] = 'a'; cstr[1] = 'b'; cstr[2] = 'c'; cstr[3] = 'd'; cstr[4] = 'e'; cstr[5] = '\0'; char *shaved = shavecstr(cstr); delete[] cstrn; where char* shavecstr(char* cstr) { size_t len = strlen(cstr); char* ncstr = new char[len]; strcpy(ncstr,cstr); return ncstr; } In that the whole point is to have 'original' be a buffer that fills with characters and routinely has its copy shaved and used elsewhere. To prevent leaks, I want to free up the memory held by 'shaved' to be used again after it passes through some arguments. There is probably a good reason for why this is restricted, but there should be some way to free the memory as by this configuration, there is no way to access the original owner (pointer) of the data.

  • javscript smart array loop, need some help here

    - by Totty
    var _test1 = []; _test1[88] = 'sex'; _test1[1999990] = 'hey'; for(i = 0, length = _test1.length; i < length; i++){ if(_test1[i] == 'hey'){ alert(_test1.length); } } this takes a lot of time, and there are only 2 values. Is there any way to be faster? Or to use another system that index objects by a number and then loop them fast? thanks

I'm having a hard time doing the swap, i tried everything but nothing works :( . Any help??? struct alumn { char name[100]; char lastname[100]; int par; int nota; }; typedef struct alumn alumn; int bubble(alumn **arr, int length) { int i,j; alumn *temp; for (i=0; i<=length-2; i++) { for (j=i+1; j<=length-1;j++) { if ((*arr)[i].nota > (*arr)[j].nota) { temp = arr[i]; arr[i] = arr[j]; arr[j] = temp; } } } } int main(int argc, char **argv) { alumn *alumns; ... here goes some other code ... bubble(&alumns,totalAlumns); return 0; } My problem is that this algorith is not sorting anything. • Pointers in C# to make int array?

    - by Joshua
    The following C++ program compiles and runs as expected: #include <stdio.h> int main(int argc, char* argv[]) { int* test = new int[10]; for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) test[i] = i * 10; printf("%d \n", test[5]); // 50 printf("%d \n", 5[test]); // 50 return getchar(); } The closest C# simple example I could make for this question is: using System; class Program { unsafe static int Main(string[] args) { // error CS0029: Cannot implicitly convert type 'int[]' to 'int*' int* test = new int[10]; for (int i = 0; i < 10; i++) test[i] = i * 10; Console.WriteLine(test[5]); // 50 Console.WriteLine(5[test]); // Error return (int)Console.ReadKey().Key; } } So how do I make the pointer?

  • Having issue Deserializing array from an XML string

    - by LeeHull
    I'm having issues trying to deserializing my xml string that was from a dataset.. Here is the XML layout.. <DataSet> <User> <UserName>Test</UserName> <Email>[email protected]</Email> <Details> <ID>1</ID> <Name>TestDetails</Name> <Value>1</Value> </Details <Details> <ID>2</ID> <Name>Testing</Name> <Value>3</Value> </Details </User> </DataSet> Now I am able to deserialize the "UserName" and "Email" when doing public class User { public string UserName {get;set;} public string Email {get;set;} public Details[] Details {get;set;} } public class Details { public int ID {get;set;} public string Name {get;set;} public string Value {get;set;} } This deserializes fine when I just get the user node, the Details isnt null but has no items in it.. i know I am suppose to have between all the details but I rather not modify the XML, anyways to get this to deserialize properly without recreating the XML after I get it?

  • How to select the first property with unknown name and first item from array in JSON

    - by Oscar Godson
    I actually have two questions, both are probably simple, but for some odd reason I cant figure it out... I've worked with JSON 100s of times before too! but here is the JSON in question: {"69256":{ "streaminfo":{ "stream_ID":"1025", "sourceowner_ID":"2", "sourceowner_avatar":"http:\/\/content.nozzlmedia.com\/images\/sourceowner_avatar2.jpg", "sourceownertype_ID":"1", "stream_name":"Twitter", "streamtype":"Social media" "appsarray":[] }, "item":{ "headline":"Charboy", "main_image":"http:\/\/content.nozzlmedia.com\/images\/author_avatar173212.jpg", "summary":"ate a tomato and avocado for dinner...", "nozzl_captured":"2010-05-12 23:02:12", "geoarray":[{ "state":"OR", "county":"Multnomah", "city":"Portland", "neighborhood":"Downtown", "zip":"97205", "street":"462 SW 11th Ave", "latitude":"45.5219", "longitude":"-122.682" }], "full_content":"ate a tomato and avocado for dinner tonight. such tasty foods. just enjoyable.", "body_text":"ate a tomato and avocado for dinner tonight. such tasty foods. just enjoyable.", "author_name":"Charboy", "author_avatar":"http:\/\/content.nozzlmedia.com\/images\/author_avatar173212.jpg", "fulltext_url":"http:\/\/twitter.com\/charboy\/statuses\/13889868936", "leftovers":{ "twitter_id":"tag:search.twitter.com,2005:13889868936", "date":"2010-05-13T02:59:59Z", "location":"iPhone: 45.521866,-122.682262" }, "wordarray":{ "0":"ate", "1":"tomato", "2":"avocado", "3":"dinner", "4":"tonight", "5":"tasty", "6":"foods", "7":"just", "8":"enjoyable", "9":"Charboy", "11":"Twitter", "13":"state:OR", "14":"county:Multnomah, OR", "15":"city:Portland, OR", "16":"neighborhood:Downtown", "17":"zip:97205" } } } } Question 1: How do I loop through each item (69256) when the number is random? e.g. item 1 is 123, item2 is 646? Like, for example, a normal JSON feed would have something like: {'item':{'blah':'lorem'},'item':{'blah':'ipsum'}} the JS would be like console.log(item.blah) to return lorem then ipsum in a loop How do I do it when i dont know the first item of the object? Question 2: How do I select items from the geoarray object? I tried: json.test.item.geoarray.latitude and json.test.item.geoarray['latitude']
