  • Layout of popup components changes while moving

    I have designed some popup moving menu with JQuery, it looks perfekt in webkit browsers, but i have one problem in mozilla, when i move my popup window, layout of some components in this window changes! For example button add changes from: to: or to: , and it's absolutly random. What can it be?   • Would popup blockers stop a URL which pops up only when the user clicked on something?

    I'm currently building a web application that can can track a users actions on a particular website and pop a URL if the user takes certain actions, such as: first click, responding to a question by clicking yes / no, clicking a submit button, or exiting the site. It is important that these URLs are served to the user and are not blocked by pop-up blockers. It is my understanding that there are certain exceptions within the major internet browsers that allow pop-ups if they are served based on some user action, rather than serving an unsolicited pop? Is this true? How do I design this web application so that it can serve these pops (and not have them blocked).

  • How to reset persistent scrollbar position after div refresh in FF3?

    Hi, I'm experiencing a weird scrollbar issue. I'm building a page that uses jQuery and PHP to dynamically load images into a DIV sequentially. This DIV is a fixed height but uses a scrollbar for its variable width. The problem is that the scrollbar does not reset after a dynamic refresh of the DIV. So when the user scrolls and then refreshes with new content, the scroll bar position stays persistent instead of resetting back to the left. This seems to only happen in FF3. The scrollbar resets perfectly fine in Chrome, Safari, and IE8. For each refresh, the DIV is hidden, emptied, sized with CSS, then sequentially appended with images. I've tried resetting white-space: normal before the nowrap, playing around with overflow, and also jQuery's scrollLeft to no avail. It still behaves strangely in FF3, and only FF3. http://www.shadowshapes.com/uttdev/ Click a thumbnail, move the scrollbar then click another thumb. Thanks for any help!

  • HTML chrome:// page with select box, onChange failing

    I have a html page. It is chrome://. I have a select box. Giving it the oncommand attribute won't work. So I have to use onchange however you have the typical problem with onchange where it doesnt work if user uses the keyboard arrows, or letters of items to change things. Is there anyway to attach onCommand to my select box? I want to avoid to use onkeyup as then i have to to validation to see if it really changed (which would require me saving previous values).

    A very simple code to illustrate the difference. var x = [0, 3, 1, 2]; console.debug('debug', x); console.log('log', x); // above display the same result x.splice(1, 2); // below display kind of a different result console.debug('debug', x); console.log('log', x); The javascript value is exactly the same but console.log() displays it a bit differently than before applying splice() method. Because of this I lost quite a few hours as I thought splice is acting funny making my array multidimensional or something. I just want to know why does this work like that. Does anyone know? :)

  • How to fix "Xlib: extension "RECORD" missing on display :1" in vnc session?

    I am running a JNativeHook capture program on Ubuntu. When I run the session on default X session things are working fine. However when I run the same program from vnc session, it fails with "Xlib: extension "RECORD" missing on display". I checked that this extension is loaded in X which is started by display manager/init. However I am not sure if indeed is initialized during vncserver startup. I could not see anything related in the vnc log. I tried create custom xorg.conf with Module section, which explicitly loads RECORD extension as suggested by many posts but did not help. My environment: Xorg-server: 2.1.12.4-6 tightvncserver: 1.3.9 The same thing works fine on my CentOS 6.4 setup.

  • Why doesn't my PHP install see the MySQL extension?

    So I just set up PHP (Version 5.2.17), MySQL (5.5.28), and Apace (2.2) on my Windows 7 computer. I want to test a mysql connection, but the mysql extension is apparently not loaded (based on phpinfo()). Here's what I did: Changed the extension dir in the php.ini (extension_dir = ".;c:\php\ext") and uncommented the extension=php_mysql.dll line Copied libmysql.dll to the Apache's bin directory Added C:\php to the system's $PATH Restarted the server, then the computer And it's still not working. What did I miss? EDIT: I'm looking through phpinfo()'s outout and it says: "Server API | Apache 2.0 Handler" and I'm running 2.2. Is that a problem?

    I want to configure a local apache server to serve php files with different php versions. In my document root I have phpinfo.php, now if I go to http://localhost/phpinfo.php4, I want to see the phpinfo.php file processed with php4, if I go to http://localhost/phpinfo.php5 I want to see the same file processed with php5. Note: both php 4 and 5 are already installed side by side, I have no problem configuring apache to treat files that have a .php4 or .php5 extension on the filesystem with the correct php version. What I want is for apache to do the following: If the url-path ends in .php5, serve the file which has a .php extension on the filesystem using the application/x-httpd-php5 handler. If the url-path ends in .php4, serve the same file with the .php extension on the filesystem using the application/x-httpd-php4 handler.

    I have an unused Comcast high-speed internet self-install kit from 2006. It has two coils of extension cable, and a splitter, and some screws. The name of the cable is "extension cable" printed on the package. I wonder if that is its actual name? As ethernet cables are always useful, I wonder if the extension cables are totally worthless and should be tossed into a trash can? Or are they usable for some other purposes, or even sellable?     I'm using LibreOffice with the LanguageTool extension, and it is kinda out of place (the options dialog at least) because it uses the open solaris default theme instead of my gtk+ theme. Is there a way to get it to use my gtk theme?   • IE8 + Jquery ajax call giving parsererror : for json data which seems valid in Firefox

    The ajax call works fine in FF. the data returned is in JSON here is an example from FF firebug - {"noProfiles": "No profiles have been created, lets start now !"} When I try to print the error in IE8 (& in compatibility modes as well), it says "parsererror". But the output seems to be valid JSON. Here is the ajax function call I'm making.     Using JS to set the background color of a TD is fine. But, setting the border color is problematic in FF 3.0.18 although IE 6 doesn't experience this. FF is problematic in that it requires the TD element to have an attribute style initialized to border-style: solid. Without that, setting border color of a TD won't work. Is this known bug? How do I set the border color without having to set style attribute as well as the initialization value? I know another trick of setting the class attribute instead of setting the border color directly. Is this an indication that somehow TD hates having its border color set dynamically? Is this known as well?
