• Android using ksoap calling PHP SOAP webservice fails: 'procedure 'CheckLogin' not found

  I'm trying to call a PHP SOAP webservice. I know my webservice functions correctly because I use it in a WPF project succesfully. I'm also building an app in android, using the same webservice. Error: 11-04 16:23:26.786: E/AndroidRuntime(26447): Caused by: java.lang.ClassCastException: org.ksoap2.serialization.SoapObject cannot be cast to org.kxml2.kdom.Node Which is caused by these lines: request.addSoapObject(UserCredentials); soapEnv.setOutputSoapObject(request); This may be a solution though, how do I go about this? • Entity with Guid ID is not inserted by NHibernate

  I am experimenting with NHibernate (version 2.1.0.4000) with Fluent NHibernate Automapping. My test set of entities persists fine with default integer IDs I am now trying to use Guid IDs with the entities. Unfortunately changing the Id property to a Guid seems to stop NHibernate inserting objects. • How to include the login form on the Home index page in MVC

  Hi guys I really need your help for this. I am relatively new to programming and I need help to something that could be easy for a experienced programmer. I would like to get the login form that we get for free in an MVC application on the left sidebar of my Home index page instead of the usual Account/Login page. I am facing some problems. First I need a product object to be displayed on my Home Index page as well. What I did is that I added a product object to the LogOnModel that they provide in the AccountModels class and I created a UserControl (partial view) copying the content of the LogOn.aspx view. Now my Home index.aspx as well as my partial view inherits the LogOnModel class. I can see the Login form on my Home Index page as well as my product object BUT the login Form is never empty. The last username and password always appear there. I know I must have forgotten something or have done something wrong or the way did it is completely wrong !! • Rails controller method going to plural form

  I'm new to rails! Ok, I am trying to set up a user signup form. I've called the form on the "user_path" which is singular (i think?). But when I hit the submit button, it gives me an error saying that uninitialized constant UsersController the occurence of the error makes sense, since User is meant to be singular, so if it is trying to call the Users controller, it should be chucking an error. When I checked the server log, it shows this message: Processing ApplicationController#create (for 127.0.0.1 at 2010-05-08 16:26:14) [POST] Parameters: {"commit"=>"Signup", "password_confirmation"=>"[FILTERED]", "action"=>"create", "authenticity_token"=>"yOcHY+rMjaqmu9HS8EwnDqJKbc0Zxictc0y4dtD26ac=", "controller"=>"users", "login"=>"bob", "password"=>"[FILTERED]", "email"=>"[email protected]"} NameError (uninitialized constant UsersController): In the params, I can see that it is calling the "users" controller.   In a set of SOAP web services the user is authenticated with custom SOAP header (username/password). The problems come when an user (same username/password) calls the same WS at same time from different clients (machines). The state of the saved objects are inconsistent. How do I manage the session correctly to avoid this? I searched and the documentation about Session management in NHibernate is really vast. Should I Lock over user object? Should I set up a "session share" management between WS calls from same user? Should I use Transaction in some savvy way? Thanks Update1 Yes, mSession is 'session'. Update2 Even with a non-static session object the data saved in the DB are inconsistent. Even obj.another_field is correct (the field is an ID with generated=on-save policy). It is like 'user.field = user.field - obj.field;' is executed more times then necessary.

  After creating a self-signed SSL certificate, I have configured my remote mysqld to use them (and ssl is enabled) I ssh into my remote server, and try connecting to its own mysqld using ssl (mysql server is 5.5.25).. ~> mysql -u <user> -p --ssl=1 --ssl-cert=client.cert --ssl-key=client.key --ssl-ca=ca.cert Enter password: ERROR 2026 (HY000): SSL connection error: error:00000001:lib(0):func(0):reason(1) Ok, I remember reading theres some problem with connecting to the same server via SSL. So I download the client keys down to my local box, and test from there... ~> mysql -h <server> -u <user> -p --ssl=1 --ssl-cert=client.cert --ssl-key=client.key --ssl-ca=ca.cert Enter password: ERROR 2026 (HY000): SSL connection error Its unclear what this "SSL connection error" error refers to, but if I omit the -ssl-ca, then I am able to connect using SSL.. ~> mysql -h <server> -u <user> -p --ssl=1 --ssl-cert=client.cert --ssl-key=client.key Enter password: Welcome to the MySQL monitor.   I'm writing a powershell v2 script that I'd like to run against a remote server. When I run it, I get the error : Connecting to remote server failed with the following error message : The WinRM client cannot process the request. Unencrypted traffic is currently disabled in the client configuration. Change the client configurati on and try the request again. For more information, see the about_ Remote_Troubleshooting Help topic. I looked at the online help for about _ Remote_Troubleshooting, but it didn't point me towards how to enable unecrypted traffic. Below is the script that I'm using that is causing me problems. Note: I have already run Enable-PSRemoting on the remote machine to allow it to accept incoming requests. The certificate of their website (the local home page that asks for the credentials) is not recognized as a trusted certificate, so we install it separately on our computers. The problem is that I don't take my laptop with me often to university, so I usually want to connect using my HTC Magic, but I have no clue on how to install the certificate separately on Android, it is always rejected.   Hello, I tried the whole day just to import a cetrificate in winXP, but I allways failed. I did following: Create the certificate with private key (no pasword): makecert -sr LocalMachine -ss My -pe -sky exchange -n "CN=TestCert" -a sha1 -sv TestCert.pvk TestCert.cer Then put certificate and private key together into pfx file: pvk2pfx.exe -pvk TestCert.pvk -spc TestCert.cer -pfx TestCert.pfx Import pfx file with commandline tool (German System): winhttpcertcfg.exe -i TestCert.pfx -a NT-AUTORITÄT\NETZWERKDIENST -c LOCAL_MACHINE\My Error: Unable to import contents of PFX file. Please make sure the filename and path, as well as the password, are correct. Hint: "NT-AUTORITÄT\NETZWERKDIENST" -- "NT-AUTHORITY\NETWORKSERVICE" Filename is ok, password was not set. Even if I set the password (e.g. "MyPassword") in Step 1 and type at the end of step 3: ... -p MyPassword I got the same error. Then I tried to import in the certificate console (mmc with certificate snap-in). There i got following error: "Der private Schlüssel, den Sie importieren, erfordert möglicherweise einen Dienstanbieter, der nicht installiert ist." -- "The imported private key may requires a service-supplier which is not installed".   I have a server with 10 ip's that I want to give access to some friends via authentication but I'm stuck on squid's config file. Let's say I have these ip's available on my server: 212.77.23.10 212.77.1.10 68.44.82.112 And I want to allocate each one of them to a different user like so: 212.77.23.10 goes to user manilodisan using password 123456 212.77.1.10 goes to user manilodisan1 using password 123456 68.44.82.112 goes to user manilodisan2 using password 123456 I managed to add the passwords and authentication works ok but how do I do to restrict one user to one of the available ip's? • Postfix mail server: can't connect via POP/IMAP

  I've followed this guide on setting up a mail server on my dedicated server. I've been able to send mails from the php application I'm using and the linux commandline (using telnet, php, etc). The problem is that I cannot connect to the server via IMAP/POP which I've setup using Courier. I've tried using thunderbird but it complains that the username or password is wrong. I doubt it is the username/password but I don't know how to trouble shoot this.   There are 5 steps in this job. First job is an SSIS Package store, second to fifth are file system jobs. We configured all jobs to use Windows Authentication. Under Run As, we specified a user account which was created under SecurityCredentials and SQL Server AgentProxiesSSIS Package execution. The job runs without any problems with this user account. We then proceeded to configure the job to use a service account instead. Service account was specified under SecurityCredentials and SQL Server AgentProxiesSSIS Package Execution. • What device can create wireless network while connecting to an ethernet router

  Hi, I have access to an ethernet port of a wireless router. I simply connect my laptop to it via an ethernet cable. There are a total of four such ports on the wireless router. Now I want to connect a device (a wireless access point? wireless bridge? wireless switch?) via an ethernet cable to one of the other ethernet ports of the router. I want this device to act as a kind of wireless switch - it should "split" the ethernet connection coming from the router to two or more computers that connect to this device via a wireless. Basically, I have a wireless router with its wireless function switched off. I don't know the password for that router so can't activate the wireless function. Don't know the password of the ISP either. The only thing I can do is to connect via ethernet cable to the wireless router and this does not require a password. Now I want to use that connection and build a wireless upon it. What kind of device do I need? I am not really very well informed about network management and find the descriptions "wireless access point", "wireless bridge", "wireless switch" confusing. I know what an ethernet switch is - what I need is a device which would do the same but by allowing the clients to connect to it via a wireless. What kind of device would do that? Any recommendations about specific products?

• Remotely managing Scheduled Tasks on another computer: Access Denied

  I need to remotely create new scheduled tasks from a Windows 7 computer in my company (which according to this Microsoft TechNet article I should be able to do. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc766266.aspx ) From within Task Scheduler, on the menu I click Action Connect to another Computer. I browse for the remote computer's name (I use Check Names to verify that the name is correct) and then I check 'Connect as another user' and enter \Administrator and the local admin password. Whenever I try this, I get the error message Task Scheduler: You do not have permission to access this computer Firewall isn't the problem I am able to use Remote Desktop with this username & password combo, so I would expect it to work when remotely managing as well. The remote computer has firewall exceptions for Remote Scheduled Tasks Management, Remote Service Management, and Remote Desktop among other things. Heck, I even tried turning off the firewall for that individual computer and it still didn't work. More details: I have administrative remote access to several other Windows 7 Enterprise computers, though I log in as the local Administrator (whose administrative rights are only recognized by that local machine, not by the domain). The computer I am managing from is on the domain, and also has administrative rights that are recognized on the domain. More experimentation: If I go the other way around and remote-desktop into the other machine and from there open task scheduler then 'connect to another computer', I am able to connect back to my main computer using the username & password that is recognized by an administrator on the domain, and successfully schedule a task on my main computer. So it's not a company firewall issue that's preventing anything from working. The only permissions requirement Microsoft talks about is "The user credentials that you use to connect to the remote computer must be a member of the Administrators group on the remote computer". I'm logging in as an Administrator on each of the local machines, so why doesn't it work?

• Fedora 16 can connect to samba share using smbclient but not in nautilus 3.2.1

Everything works fine on my Windows 7 machine, but on my Fedora 16 laptop, if I use Nautilus to try to access the share using smb://192.168.0.8/nathan in the location bar, it just has the loading cursor and does nothing. It never shows any errors, nothing. Using smbclient works just fine, but I'd like to get it working in Nautilus.
