create jquery array to use as options

Hi all, I'm sure this is really simple, but I can't seem to get it working. I have a "time" select list, which has a number as "rel" attached to each option. If the user changes the time select, I want a new list of options to display depending on what is selected. If that makes sense? Here's my first select: <select name="time" id="time"> <option value="7:00am" rel="10">7:00am</option> <option value="12:30pm" rel="16">12:30pm</option> </select> If the user selects 7:00am, I want a new option list (using jquery) to give options from 1 - 10. Java webservice does not return all struct array

Hi I wrote a webservice which runs correctly. In the webservice, there is a class which contains other classes' arrays and the webservice returns this class's instance. for example public class cls1 implements Serializable{ cls2[] cls2Arr; cls3[] cls3Arr; } I fill this arrays (cls2Arr and cls3Arr) correctly in service side. When I read this arrays from client, I see only last item of arrays. I checked on the service side before the webservice returns, and the cls1 instance and everything else looked good. The code below works but it removes parts of the first line from datastack. I have Class Email, there is parameter "bcc" in her construktor. Its actually list of emails for copies. There is no fixed number of these emails and later i have to have possibility to extend this list. //construktor prototype Email::Email(vector<string> bcc) So i want to use type vector or list for that and function push_back(). How can i make a new instance with bcc emails? I need actually declaration with definition for my list. I've found this definition with iterator for integer type: int myints[] = {16,2,77,29}; Email myEmail(vector<int> (myints, myints + sizeof(myints) / sizeof(int) )); , but its not very user friend and i need it with strings. Associative Array / Object can't be read in functions

At the very beginning of the javascript file, I have: var lbp = {}; lbp.defaults = { minLength: 40 }; I can successfully alert it afterwards, with: alert(lbp.defaults.minLength); But as soon as I put it inside a function, when I alert, I get "Undefined". What gives, and how do I avoid this? Is it absolutely necessary to pass this variable into each function, for example, by doing: function(lbp) { alert(lbp.defaults.minLength); } I would have thought that defining it first, it would attain global scope and not be required to be passed in? Thanks in advance for enlightening me :) ==================================== EDIT: The problem seems like it might be my initialize function is itself defined within lbp. Algorithm for generating an array of non-equal costs for a transport problem optimization

I have an optimizer that solves a transportation problem, using a cost matrix of all the possible paths. The optimiser works fine, but if two of the costs are equal, the solution contains one more path that the minimum number of paths. (Think of it as load balancing routers; if two routes are same cost, you'll use them both.) I would like the minimum number of routes, and to do that I need a cost matrix that doesn't have two costs that are equal within a certain tolerance. At the moment, I'm passing the cost matrix through a baking function which tests every entry for equality to each of the other entries, and moves it a fixed percentage if it matches. However, this approach seems to require N^2 comparisons, and if the starting values are all the same, the last cost will be r^N bigger. (r is the arbitrary fixed percentage). Also there is the problem that by multiplying by the percentage, you end up on top of another value. So the problem seems to have an element of recursion, or at least repeated checking, which bloats the code. The current implementation is basically not very good (I won't paste my GOTO-using code here for you all to mock), and I'd like to improve it. Is there a name for what I'm after, and is there a standard implementation? Example: {1,1,2,3,4,5} (tol = 0.05) becomes {1,1.05,2,3,4,5}

Loading saved byte array to memory stream causes out of memory exception

At some point in my program the user selects a bitmap to use as the background image of a Panel object. When the user does this, the program immediately draws the panel with the background image and everything works fine. When the user clicks "Save", the following code saves the bitmap to a DataTable object. MyDataSet.MyDataTableRow myDataRow = MyDataSet.MyDataTableRow.NewMyDataTableRow(); //has a byte[] column named BackgroundImageByteArray using (MemoryStream stream = new MemoryStream()) { this.Panel.BackgroundImage.Save(stream, ImageFormat.Bmp); myDataRow.BackgroundImageByteArray = stream.ToArray(); } Everything works fine, there is no out of memory exception with this stream, even though it contains all the image bytes. I don't understand how one throws an out of memory exception and the other doesn't. How can I load this bitmap? P.S. I've also tried using (MemoryStream stream = new MemoryStream(myDataRow.BackgroundImageByteArray.Length)) { stream.Write(myDataRow.BackgroundImageByteArray, 0, myDataRow.BackgroundImageByteArray.Length); //throw OoM exception here. }

Hi all, I am learning java. I am trying to use composite design pattern. I am trying to use following logic. ( Don't laugh I know it is very basic :) ) Item -> interface Folder -> class File -> class In folder class, can I create an arraylist of Item to store files information? ArrayList<Item> info = ArrayList<Item>(); Or should I use Folder Arraylist? ArrayList<Folder> info = ArrayList<Folder>(); I don't know if interface can store real data as there is no variable just function definitions. Thanks for helping a newbie :)

Minimalist array creation in c#

I've always wanted to be able to use the line below but the C# compiler won't let me. To me it seems obvious and unambiguos as to what I want. myString.Trim({'[', ']'}); I can acheive my goal using: myString.Trim(new char[]{'[', ']'}); So I don't die wondering is there any other way to do it that is closer to the first approach?
