Is there a better way to do this? Edited to Add: What I am really trying to accomplish this this: When the mouse is over the UserControl, I want to play a storyboard (OnMouseEnterSB). When the mouse leaves the UserControl, I want to play another storyboard (OnMouseLeaveSB). I have all this working fine. When the UserControl is selected, however, and the mouse leaves, I do NOT want to play the storyboard. Finally, when the UserControl is unselected, I want to play the OnMouseLeaveSB storyboard.

• how do i keep form data after submitting the form using javascript?

• Javascript hide/show classes with checkbox

  I am just learning javascript, so please bear with me! I want to be able to use checkboxes to choose to hide/show div classes (to basically filter the amount of info being shown). It is done in this... but I'm try to figure out something much simpler (since I don't need to dynamically generate the checkbox options.)   I use primefaces push to write a message in a p:notificationBar. if i push a message with specials characters (like russians char), I've got '?' in my message. How can I fix this problem ? • Text over floated images

  I need to put some text over a series of images in a gallery. I found many tutorials about the text part however the images need to be floated. Whenever I add float:left though the trick no longer works. • [Qt] How to get rid of OCI.dll dependency when compiling static

  Hi, My application accesses an Oracle database through Qt's QSqlDatabase class. I'm compiling Qt as static for the release build, but I can't seem to be able to get rid of OCI.dll dependency. I'm trying to link against oci.lib (as available in Oracle's Instant Client with SDK). Here's my configure line : configure -qt-libjpeg -qt-zlib -qt-libpng -nomake examples -nomake demos -no-exceptions -no-stl -no-rtti -no-qt3support -no-scripttools -no-openssl -no-opengl -no-phonon -no-style-motif -no-style-cde -no-style-cleanlooks -no-style-plastique -static -release -opensource -plugin-sql-oci -plugin-sql-sqlite -platform win32-msvc2005 I link against oci.h and oci.lib in the SDK's folder by using : set INCLUDE=C:\oracle\instantclient\sdk\include;%INCLUDE% set LIB=C:\oracle\instantclient\sdk\lib\msvc;%LIB% Then, once Qt is compiled, I use the following lines in my *.pro file : QT += sql CONFIG += static LIBS += C:\oracle\instantclient\sdk\lib\msvc\oci.lib QTPLUGIN += qsqloci Then, in my main.cpp, I add the following commands to statically compile OCI plugin in the application : #include <QtPlugin> Q_IMPORT_PLUGIN(qsqloci) After compiling the project, I test it on my workstation and it works (as I have Oracle Instant Client installed). When I try on another workstation, I always get the message: This application has failed to start because OCI.dll was not found. Re-installing this application may fix this problem. I don't understand why I still need OCI.dll, as my statically linked application is supposed to link to oci.lib instead. Is there any Qt people here that might have a solution for me ? Thanks a lot !   I have an issue in asp.net 4. When I add an attribute on controls, then the render it encoded. My Fail tries I have all ready try some thinks but I fail. For example this fails. txtQuestion.RenderingCompatibility = new Version("3.5"); I also locate the point that this attributes renders and is on public virtual void RenderBeginTag(HtmlTextWriterTag tagKey) function, there every attribute have a flag if he wish to be encoded, but I do not know how can anyone set it or not. • Internet Explorer table 1 pixel spacing problem

  I've found a strange problem with Internet Explorer related to table spacing and cannot find a way to work around it. An empty table results in a single pixel white space with Internet Explorer (6 and 7, 8 not yet tested), while all other browsers ignore the empty table. • windows beneath not being painted when using a layered window

  Hi, I will try to explain my problem the best i can, I'm creating a layered window in c++ (using windowsXP), all works fine until i drag my created window near the windows start button, and then when i press the star button of windows taskbar and close it again all the windows beneath of my layered window aren't being painted (only in the area of the start window that pops over my window). My create window is like this: CWnd::CreateEx( WS_EX_TOOLWINDOW | WS_EX_LAYERED, AfxRegisterWndClass(0), lpstr_name, WS_POPUP, 0,0,0,0, pc_parent-GetSafeHwnd(), 0); ... When i create the window with this styles the problem ocurrs, but if i create with the extended style WS_EX_TRANSPARENT and all the others the problem does not occur any more. And if instead of a WS_POPUP window is a WS_CHILD or WS_OVERLAPPED then this also doesn't occur... Can anyone please explain why when i create a WS_POPUP window with the WS_EX_LAYERED style all the beneath windows aren't updated, and if i add the style WS_EX_TRANSPARENT this works fine. Note: why i do not use the WS_EX_TRANSPARENT style if it works right? if i use it then my window can not be dragged and i need it to do it :) Thanks

• Listen to double click not click

  I'm just wondering why click event happening when I dbclick an element? I have this code:(JSBIN) HTML <p id="hello">Hello World</p> JavaScript document.getElementById('hello').addEventListener('click', function(e){ e.preventDefault(); this.style.background = 'red'; }, false); document.getElementById('hello').addEventListener('dbclick', function(){ this.style.background = 'yellow'; }, false); It should do different things for click and double click, but it seems when you double click on the p it catch click event in advance and ignore double click. I tried preventDefault the click event too. How can I listen to just dbclick? UPDATE I had a typo in my code. dbclick is wrong. It's dblclick. Anyway the problem still exist. When user double clicks the click event happens. • div stacking/layout with css or javascript

  so i have 4 divs (i actually have many more but this will simplify the question). i want to display them in two columns. the 4 divs vary in height. the number of actual divs in the end will vary. so if i have this <div id="1" style="height: 200px" class="inline">some content here</div> <div id="2" style="height: 600px" class="inline">some content here</div> <div id="3" style="height: 300px" class="inline">some content here</div> <div id="4" style="height: 200px" class="inline">some content here</div> with styling thus .inline { display: inline-block; vertical-align: top; width: 48%;} so #1 would go left and then #2 would shove up beside it to the right, great, but the #3 will not slide up the 400px to fit nicely below #1. (of course)... it goes on the left side but at 600px from the top clearing the bottom of #2. etc... how would i get the divs to slide up into the empty spaces, is it possible with css? jquery maybe? i know i could write column divs to mark it up, but since the number of divs constantly change and the heights vary according to content. It would be nice to just get rid of the space since we dont really care about the order. any thoughts?

  I have been trying to write a regex that will remove whitespace following a semicolon (';') when it is between both an open and close curly brace ('{','}'). I've gotten somewhere but haven't been able to pull it off. • CSS: Possible to define styles mid way through an html document?

  In ASP.NET MVC, there are these snippets of html called view templates which appear when their matching data appears on the screen. For example, if you have a customer order and it has a vendor address, the vendor address view template shows up populated with data. Unfortunately, these don't have access to "MasterPages" nor are aware of their CSS surroundings. Instead of loading these up with style tags, is there any way to create partial CSS files that could work for that particular html snippet, a sort of in-line CSS style section? It would be really nice to plop this down just before we render the partial view: <style type="text/css"> input { margin: .2em .2em; overflow: hidden; width: 18.8em; height: 1.6em; border: 1px solid black;} </style> to have the 15 or so input fields in that particular Html snippet be formatted the same. These are swapped out, so the positions of the input fields change. This may also imply a CSS reset on each partial view.

• Override absolute position on child container (modal window)

  I have a modal window that is pulled from the server and inserted into a container that is absolute positioned. When that window is triggered to open, it does not display properly, it positions itself inside the container and most of it is hidden. Is there a specific css to be written for the container of the modal window (MyModalWindow). My code is as follows: <div style="position:relative;"> <div style="position: absolute;"> <div id="MyModalWindow"> </div> </div> </div> This is a jquery tools window and attaches the following style to MyModalWindow when it shows.: element.style { display:block; left:183.5px position:absolute; top:468.4px; z-index:9999; } I basically need the div to not be a child of the parent, since as jquery calculates it to be positioned at the center of the webpage no matter where the div is.

• How to make parts of a div element resize automatically?

  I'm trying to create a small html fragment (a div element) consisted of three parts: a label, textbox, and a button. Within that div element the label would be on the left (autosized), the button would be on the right (again, autosized) and the textbox should take up all remaining space within the parent div element. This is what I've tried (assuming I want my div to be 400 pixels wide): <div style="width:400px"> <div style="float: left">Label</div> <input style="width:100%"> <!-- doesn't work --> <button type='button' style='float: right'>Click</button> </div> The trouble is, my textbox does not get resized automatically. Add 'width=100%' to the textbox doesn't work. What would be the way to make it take up all remaining space between the label and the button? Ideally it should be done just by applying some styles, not by introducing new elements. (I guess the issue isn't related only to div element, but that just happens to be my work scenario.)
