• Execute a SQlite command with Entity Framework

  Hi everybody, I use a SQLite database and Entity Framework (with .net framework 3.5). I'm trying to execute a simple SQL non query command to create a new table in this datase. My Entity Framework already contains the object model for this table : I just want to generate the corresponding table using a command. (By the way, there is maybe a better way to do this. Any ideas someone :) My problem is that I'm not able to execute any command, even the simple commands.   In tmux, i know we can chain multiple commands to a key by using \; See Here But in vi mode, i want one single key press to go to the beginning of the current line, begin-selection, go to end-of-line, copy-selection. In tmux.conf if i give the following bind-key -t vi-copy 's' start-of-line \; begin-selection \; end-of-line \; copy-selection \; It gives me this : 69: usage: bind-key [-cnr] [-t key-table] key command [arguments] error. Or is there any alternative way to yank the current line in single key.

• Setup LAN to serve webpages and voip and access to the web site from inside LAN with domain name

  I'd like to know if it will work: I have my domain and I´m serving a webpage in a nginx to the internet, but if I type my domain in my laptop inside LAN I access to my modem/router configuration, I cannot access to the web server unless I type the IP address. I would like to add a Bind server after the modem/router - (port forward, ports 80 and 5060), if the request is www.mydomain.com bind should resolve the nginx IP address and serve it, and if it is a voip request should address to the voip server and if I'd like to access to the website from inside LAN I'd like to type mydomain.com. Could I do it with this configuration? Do I need something else? Thanks in advace!

• mootools slideshow not working with JQuery. Need help !

  I am working on a site http://tapasya.co.in where i just impemented mootools slideshow. But I noticed that menubar that i was using stopped working, it was supposed to drop horizontaly but it is not being displayed now. I have used jquery for it. Please see the source of the web page. What can be the problem ? Mootools conflicting with javascript or some other problem. Not too experienced with serverfault and ideally I'd post my followup on the original question, or PM adam to see if he ever found a solution, but looks as though server fault doesn't work that way. I can post an "answer" but that's definitely not what this is. • Load website and fill form from the command line

  Using the Linux command line (Bash shell) I like to load a specific website in my browser (normally Firefox, but other one would be ok as well as long it runs under Linux) and fill a pre-defined form with some data. Actually, this should run from a Makefile. Most of the form data is static and will be stored as variables in the Makefile, just some fields are to be filled manually before manually sending the form. I know how to load the website in question from the command line using: firefox <URL> But there seems no possibility to fill the form automatically with variables given on the command line. Is there a plugin, executable or JavaScript which allows me to do this? Any suggestions and hints are welcome. I don't mind coding some JavaScript.

  So we have 2 servers all running at the same web host. We have bind MySQL to listen on the public ip-address of the database server and the web server connects to it from the public ip. Both servers run on the same private network. Currently, the DB connect method from our php script takes about 3ms to connect to the MySQL database server host. • Changing Windows public folder in batch script.

  I've installed Steam on an external hard drive so I can play games on different computers by just moving the drive around. Since save games are often saved in My Documents or AppData, but I want them to move with the external hard drive, I wrote a batch file that sets environment variables before starting steam. setocal set USERPROFILE=%EXTERNAL_LETTER%\Profile\Me set APPDATA=%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming ... start %TARGETAPP% endlocal I'm not sure if this is the right way to do this on Windows, but it seems to work. However, one game saves its games in the Shared Documents folder. I've tried setting %PUBLIC% and %ALLUSERSPROFILE% but that does not seem to affect where the game looks. Is it possible to make this one program use a different Shared Documents folder, either by environment variables or some other means? The change in Shared Documents should only affect the one program, I do not want it to be a permanent or system wide change to Windows.

• Lingering tcp connection in LISTEN state

  My java application can sometimes be killed by an external script. This can be done either with SIGTERM or with SIGKILL. The application is a server which receives many connections per second, and it can be killed while trying to serve them. I would like to restart the application whenever it's killed, so I have prepared a script for that purpose. The problem is that, once the app has been killed, the new application instance can't bind to the port used by the previous instance, because the "Address is already in use". The previous instance's process has been definitely terminated, anyway the offending listening port is still there, but it is assigned to bash (or sh on other machines). Obviouly, my goal is to restart the application and let it bind successfully to the previous address. I've tried waiting more than 200 seconds before restarting to no avail, anyway I can't afford to wait that much. I've encountered this problem on all the machines I've ran the application (which is a jetty server with java 1.6). Any suggestion is appreciated, thanks, Silvio

  I've been working on a program for the last year. The development environment is working with a database in MySQL running on debian etch version mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.32, for pc-linux-gnu (i486) using readline 5.2. The production environment is working on debian lenny with version mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.51a, for debian-linux-gnu (i486) using readline 5.2. I was just timing some database access and what takes in the development environment 150 seconds, takes 300 in the production environment. I checked the /etc/mysql/my.cnf files on both systems and the only differences are # development bind-address = 10.168.1.82 log_bin = /var/log/mysql/mysql-bin.log # production bind-address = 127.0.0.1 myisam-recover = BACKUP #log_bin = /var/log/mysql/mysql-bin.log I dump a database from the production and load it into the development and with the same server everything takes half the time !!! What should I check?

  I have begun using mutt (terminal email client) recently and I have it setup very nicely and easy to use. My only gripe is that sometimes it is difficult to tell when I transition from one thread to the next. Is it possible to setup the bindings such that moving to the next-undeleted message would check if the next-undeleted message is in the same thread, and if that check is false it returns to the index or throws an error? For example, I currently have bind pager <down> next-undeleted bind pager } next-subthread Is there a more advanced function call that could perform this check? I haven't been able to find much on how to perform more complex function calls with such checks while checking out the manual. Any help would be appreciated.

The BulkDataExchange probably takes the XML payload, breaks it up, and send the pieces out to the Merchant or Trading API. The inner pieces of the payload then do not have the namespace and the get the error. This is a guess on my part but I wouldn't be surprised if this is what was going on behind the scenes. Ultimately what I'm trying to achieve is using width & precision specifiers for strings with format. boost::format does not support the use of the * width & precision specifiers, as indicated in the docs: Width or precision set to asterisk (*) are used by printf to read this field from an argument. e.g. printf("%1$d:%2$.*3$d:%4$.*3$d\n", hour, min, precision, sec); This class does not support this mechanism for now. so such precision or width fields are quietly ignored by the parsing. so I'm trying to find other ways to accomplish the same goal. • Can't configure PAM + LDAP on Debian Lenny - Getting error=49 on server logs

  I've been migrating some servers and desktops using Ubuntu 10.04 from getting the users from an old OpenLDAP implementation to a newer Centos Active Directory. I haven't had any problems so far, until I reached a Debian Lenny server. I've set up the server as the others, setting /etc/ldap.conf and /etc/ldap/ldap.conf. However, when I issue "getent passwd", I get nothing from the LDAP server. Reading the pam_ldap manpage, I realized that /etc/ldap.conf was not an accepted file by pam_ldap -it worked with Ubuntu though-, so I renamed it to /etc/pam_ldap.conf. Same result. • Error in python - don't understand

  Hi, I'm creating a game, and am quite new to Python generally. I created a function 'descriptionGenerator()' which generates a description for characters and objects either randomly or using variables passed to it. It seemed to be working, but every now and then it wouldn't work correctly. So i placed it in a loop, and it never seems to be able to complete the loop without one of the iterations having this problem.   I am building a web application with email notification just like Facebook, which will host in http://www.linode.com/. When a user A comment to a post, the poster will get an email notification from '[email protected]' with the comment message written by user A. (Not spam) I really like Google Apps but they have sending limits 2000 sending per day, that is not suit for my case becuz I cannot have sending limits. There will be many email notifications. http://support.google.com/a/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=166852 I also need company email accounts for team members use which I prefer Google Apps. My web application will host in linode, I am considering "Amazon Simple Notification Service" for the email notification. My questions are Any other recommend email service provider suits my case for me? Can I bind company email accounts(ex: [email protected]) with Google Apps and bind [email protected] with other email service provider?

• OSX Snow Leopard - Multiple httpd/apache instances for PHP 5.2 & 5.3 together

  I need to run Apache with both php 5.2 and 5.3, without other webservers such as nginx, lighttpd, etc. Just Apache HTTPD. The easiest way to have both PHP 5.2 and PHP 5.3 on Apache, on the same machine, is to have them run in different webservers (or at least different webserver instances). I already do this on windows, it works flawlessly because it is easy to specify the conf file that a specific instance loads. But how can this be achieved on Mac OSX, without ditching the web server that OSX comes with built in ? The basic is to create N-ip addresses that each apache instance will bind to, for example: 192.168.0.52 - This is for apache httpd with PHP 5.2 192.168.0.53 - This is for apache httpd with PHP 5.3 (each apache will bind to its own ip address) On OSX, i don't know how to configure HTTPD to start as multiple service/daemon, with different startup httpd.conf files!

  What paths are guaranteed to exist on a Windows Server 2008 R2 instance? A client is requiring that some instructions specify exact paths in all cases. (The person executing said instructions is not supposed to have to decide on any path themselves, even when the path makes absolutely no difference.) So I need to know what paths I can rely on to be there. It's fine with me if they involve environment variables, but they need to be variables guaranteed to hold an existing path. (That is, no modification to a path that doesn't exist possible.) Or are there no guaranteed paths?
