• Wanted red color for text in the error message in the log file

  Hello Everyone, I have a question but not sure it is possible or not. I am using apache logger for my logging which creates a log file which works fine with no issues.my question is when i open the log file i get the different messages like messages with INFO,DEBGU,ERROR etc. But i wanted to see the error message in red color in text in my logger file.. is it possible? So in that way if some one opens my log file if some thing is there in red they can clearly can guess that it is an error message.. Is it possible.. • Display arabic text left to right in pdf using apache fop 0.95

  Hi all. We are generating pdf using apache's xsl fo engine, namely fop 0.95. We have been successful in displaying arabic text from xml to pdf. But there is some problem in the direction of the displayed words. If we have 'sangam' (please assume that 'sangam' is in arabic) in xml, it gets displayed as 'magnas'. Has anyone encountered this before? What could be the solution? For example, I have one node in xml file like this: <empltmoblab>??????</empltmoblab> Now when displayed in pdf, this is displayed like this: ?????? This means I am getting just the reverse. I want it as it is in xml node. Thank you.

• Scroll to a text position in Javascript

  I have a real-time HTML editor, with a textarea on the left for code entry, and a 'preview' DIV on the right to contain the preview of the code entered. At the moment, when editing the code in the left pane, the preview just sits where it is, so often the part of the code you're editing is not in the visible area of the preview (especially when images are involved). My question is how do I make the preview scroll to show the part of the code that's currently being edited? Here is the page I have so far: http://www.caerphoto.com/rtedit.html You'll notice in the source I have a (currently unused) matchPreview() function that tries to match the scroll position of the preview based on the scroll position of the textarea, but obviously if images or large text are involved the two panes no longer match.

I assume each set of figures represents a letter. Is there any website where I can find information on how to decipher the code?   I am currently dynamically creating a bitmap and using the graphics object from the string from the bitmap to Draw a string on it like so. System.Drawing.Graphics graph = System.Drawing.Graphics.FromImage(bmp); graph.DrawString(text, font, brush, new System.Drawing.Point(0, 0)); This returns a rectangle shaped bitmap with the string written straight across from left to right. I would like to also be able to draw the string in the shape of a rainbow. How can I do this?

First I would like to easily find entries for given ip. This part is easy because I can use grep for example. However even for this I would like to find better solution because I would like to get response as fast as possible. Next part is more complicated because I would like to find entries from selected ip and of selected type and with particular value of some_key in action_data. Probably I would have to convert this file to SQL db (probably SQLite, because it will be desktop APP), but I would ask if there are exists better solutions?

  I utilize a (nested) plist to populate UITableViews where users can select entries at the deepest levels and set a checkmark (or not). I want to save these selections in a same structured list where at the deepest level the NSArray contains bool values instead the text strings that are displayed in the UITableView. So how can i build from a hierarchy like the following: Root - Item 0 (Dictionary) - Group (Dictionary) - Items (NSArray) - Item 0: @"Please check me" (String) a hierarchy like this? • jQuery - Slideshow with different sized images and text

  I need some sort of slideshow, with text (something like moving boxes would be nice). I have tried several, but i'm always having problems with different sized images (the images can be for eg. 500px x 300px, but the next one can be 500px, 300px), this gives some problems with the pictures ... I hope you understand what i mean. It's very irritating to find a good jquery plugin that can deal with this problem... :( Can anyone find me a good working one or an alternative to jQuery?

• Selenium not finding LiveValidation text.

  I am using the Selenium IDE to test some of my web development. I am using the JQuery LiveValidation in my code. I have an input box with some javascript behind it that will do a regular expresson and either ouput "OK" or "Error" next to the input text box based on what the user has entered. For some reason when testing with selenium the LiveValidation will not get triggered no matter what I do and therefore I can not test it. When I do it manually it works great. Has anyone run into this problem before? Any help would be appreciated.

  I tried to write reasonably short title but i failed i guess.. Hi everybody here's what i'm trying to do: I want to implement a web text editor able to recognize when the user drag a image file over it's editing surface and it automa(gically) starts the upload and insert the image near the cursor position. In other words i don't want the user to do the usual "insert-image-browse-ok". Atm i am not very good at javascript ... i know JQuery but i have not a clear idea about how to implement this... i don't know if there's an event handler able to help me in this situation... if not then there should be i think or web apps would miss some kind of interactivity. I've heard miracles about HTML5 could it help me? I've seen such things in Google Wave but that surface doesn't seem to be a form field... google lab's black magic i guess.... Thank you in advance.

Now for eg a link is "http://xyz.com/start/tyu/a.html" and another is "http://ert.com/tyu/b.html" while a third link is "http://asdf.com/ghjk/c.html" From the above 3 links (which I have with me using a for clause in a FLWOR expression)...I want only the links which contain within them a string "tyu" to be selected-- I thought of using substring for this, but substring requires start and end positions to be specified- whereas in my scenario, I dont know at which position the desired string will be. How do I do substring matching in such a scenario, i.e. where exact position for occurrence of substring, is not known? I can use XQuery 1.0 for this purpose. Finally, I want to extract the link URL, as well as link text...

  Anyone know how I would find & replace text in a string?   Text gets accumulates piecemeal before being sent to client. Now we use own class that allocates memory for each piece as char massive. (Anyway, works like char[][] + std::list<char*>). Then we build the whole string, convert it into std::sting and then create boost::asio::streambuf using it. That's slow enough, I assume. Correct me if I'm wrong. I know, in many cases simple FILE type from stdio.h is used. How does it works? Allocates memory at every write into it. So, is it faster and is there any way to read into boost::asio::streambuf from FILE?

  I have the following HTML that is within a larger document <br /> Important Text 1 <br /> <br /> Not Important Text <br /> Important Text 2 <br /> Important Text 3 <br /> <br /> Non Important Text <br /> Important Text 4 <br /> I'm currently using BeautifulSoup to obtain other elements within the HTML, but I have not been able to find a way to get the important lines of text between <br /> tags. I can isolate and navigate to each of the <br /> elements, but can't find a way to get the text in between. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  I'm trying to use ProGuard to obfuscate a Java application. I'm experiencing a problem where all of my text and images disappear from the GUI (Swing) forms. I've tried disabling optimizations and including more libraries, but nothing seems to be working. I've inspected the output generated by the obfuscator with a decompiler, and my resource paths seem to still be correct. Do I need to be including more core Java libraries outside of jre/lib/rt.jar? Are there more settings I should disable? ...other suggestions? Thanks.

  Hi all. I am working with a text file, which contains a list of processes under my programs control, along with relevant data. At some point, one of the processes will finish, and thus will need to be removed from the file (as its no longer under control). Here is a sample of the file contents (which has enteries added "randomly"): PID=25729 IDLE=0.200000 BUSY=0.300000 USER=-10.000000 PID=26416 IDLE=0.100000 BUSY=0.800000 USER=-20.000000 PID=26522 IDLE=0.400000 BUSY=0.700000 USER=-30.000000 So for example, if I wanted to remove the line that says PID=26416.... how could I do that, without writing the file over again? I can use external unix commands, however I am not very familiar with them so please if that is your suggestion, give an example. Thanks!

• WPF TextBlock Overflow Text to the Left

  As background I have a very long ID that too long to display in the given area of the TextBlock. The interesting portion of the ID is the end, that is the rightmost portion. What I would like to do is have the TextBlock, rather than the text overflowing right and cutting off the rightmost portion, overflow left and cutoff the leftmost portion. That is given the ID 123456 and a TextBlock with enough space to hold four characters, to get the TextBlock to display 3456 rather than 1234 as it does by default. I could manually trim my ID for display, but given a variable spaced font that's not ideal. So is there someway to get WPF do change the overflow direction?
