    I'm reading a book on Windows Internals and there's something I don't understand: "The kernel handles software interrupts either as part of hardware interrupt handling or synchronously when a thread invokes kernel functions related to the software interrupt." So does this mean that software interrupts or exceptions will only be handled under these conditions: a. When the kernel is executing a function from said thread related to the software exception(trap) b. when it is already handling a hardware trap Is my understanding of this correct? The next bit: "In most cases, the kernel installs front-end trap handling functions that perform general trap handling tasks before and after transferring control to other functions that field the trap." I don't quite understand what it means by 'front-end trap handling functions' and 'field the trap'? Can anyone help me?

This works very well for most cases, but when there are too many images for the grid and it has to scroll, I run into issues. I can still drag/drop into most items in that div, but when I scroll down and then try to drag onto an item in the bottom of the list, it drops on the row that was at the bottom before I scrolled the div. Even if I set the scroll attribute when creating the Draggable items, it will scroll the grid div, but not use the proper Droppable item. Is there any way to make the Draggable items drop onto the proper Droppable element regardless of if the containing div is scrolled or not?

    Say I've got the following data back from a SQL query: Lastname Firstname Age Anderson Jane 28 Anderson Lisa 22 Anderson Jack 37 If I want to know the age of the oldest person with the last name Anderson, I can select MAX(Age) and GROUP BY Lastname. But I also want to know the first name of that oldest person. How can I make sure that, when the Firstname values are collapsed into one row by the GROUP BY, I get the Firstname value from the same row where I got the max age?

  • Why am I getting null object reference error when saving (OnItemUpdating event) the first edit item

    I'm getting the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." when trying to reference a HiddenField (lvEditProjectSteps_hdnStepStatusId for future reference) from the EditItem during the OnItemUpdating event after the Update event fires in a ListView. This only occurs on the FIRST item in the ListView. I checked the source and the HTML is being rendered properly. ANY insight is appreciated! Thanks in advance... However, suppose one of the properties of my object is a dictionary, and each is expected to contain a specific key. Is there any way to bind one of my DataGridColumns to that dictionary key?     We can configure HAProxy to be a transparent proxy by using the guide here, where one of the steps says ...to put the backend servers in a different subnet to the front end clients and make sure that the default gateway points back at the HAProxy load balancer. However when we need to have 2 transparent HAProxy in front of our balanced servers (for redundancy), it seems like this wont work as we can only set one gateway for our balanced servers. What will be the correct way to setup the system such that we can have 2 transparent HAProxy infront of the balanced servers? The main reason for having transparent proxies is the need to find the client's IP addresses over TCP.

    I have got an application which has three components Application code : Amazon EC2 US-EAST-1 instance Application images, and other static data : Amazon S3 with CloudFront Application Database : Amazon RDS In short i need something like Cloud Front for EC2. In long, people using this application from a different region say middle east will have faster static content downloading due to Cloud Front but there would be a lot of latency in communicating to EC2 instance. I want to use a budget friendly way of enhancing this. Launching Amazon Instances in every region that offer is sure a choice, but isn't really cheap, so would try to avoid it unless its last resort. Also say if my clients also need to communicate to the RDS database directly, is there some kind of solution which gives that kind of functionality mentioned above, but for RDS?

I used reloadData right after the call to the picker, but the code is executed before I do "Done" on the picker. Some idea? Thank u
