  • Rails - Debugging Nested Routes

    - by stringo0
    Hi, I have 2 models, Assessments and Questions. Assessments have many questions. In routes, I have: map.resources :assessments, :has_many => :questions map.root :assessments I checked rake routes, it's as expected On the form to create a new question, I get the following error: undefined method `questions_path' for #<ActionView::Base:0x6d3cdb8> If I take out the form, the view loads fine, so I think it's something with the code in this view - I'm getting the error on the form_for line: <h1>New question</h1> <% form_for [@assessment, @question] do |f| %> <%= f.error_messages %> <p> <%= f.label :content %><br /> <%= f.text_field :content %> </p> <p> <%= f.submit 'Create' %> </p> <% end %> <%= link_to 'Cancel', assessment_path(@assessment) %> Link to rake routes, if needed - http://pastebin.com/LxjfmXQw Can anyone help me debug it? Thanks!

  • When are SQL views appropriate in ASP.net MVC?

    - by sslepian
    I've got a table called Protocol, a table called Eligibility, and a Protocol_Eligibilty table that maps the two together (a many to many relationship). If I wanted to make a perfect copy of an entry in the Protocol table, and create all the needed mappings in the Protocol_Eligibility table, would using an SQL view be helpful, from a performance standpoint? Protocol will have around 1000 rows, Eligibility will have about 200, and I expect each Protocol to map to about 10 Eligibility rows and each Eligibility to map to over 100 rows in Protocol. Here's how I'm doing this with the view: var pel_original = (from pel in _documentDataModel.Protocol_Eligibility_View where pel.pid == id select pel); Protocol_Eligibility newEligibility; foreach (var pel_item in pel_original) { newEligibility = new Protocol_Eligibility(); newEligibility.Eligibility = (from pel in _documentDataModel.Eligibility where pel.ID == pel_item.eid select pel).First(); newEligibility.Protocol = newProtocol; newEligibility.ordering = pel_item.ordering; _documentDataModel.AddToProtocol_Eligibility(newEligibility); } And this is without the view: var pel_original = (from pel in _documentDataModel.Protocol_Eligibility where pel.Protocol.ID == id select pel); Protocol_Eligibility newEligibility; foreach (var pel_item in pel_original) { pel_item.EligibilityReference.Load(); newEligibility = new Protocol_Eligibility(); newEligibility.Eligibility = pel_item.Eligibility; newEligibility.Protocol = newProtocol; newEligibility.ordering = pel_item.ordering; _documentDataModel.AddToProtocol_Eligibility(newEligibility); }

  • proper use of volatile keyword

    - by luke
    I think i have a pretty good idea about the volatile keyword in java, but i'm thinking about re-factoring some code and i thought it would be a good idea to use it. i have a class that is basically working as a DB Cache. it holds a bunch of objects that it has read from a database, serves requests for those objects, and then occasionally refreshes the database (based on a timeout). Heres the skeleton public class Cache { private HashMap mappings =....; private long last_update_time; private void loadMappingsFromDB() { //.... } private void checkLoad() { if(System.currentTimeMillis() - last_update_time > TIMEOUT) loadMappingsFromDB(); } public Data get(ID id) { checkLoad(); //.. look it up } } So the concern is that loadMappingsFromDB could be a high latency operation and thats not acceptable, So initially i thought that i could spin up a thread on cache startup and then just have it sleep and then update the cache in the background. But then i would need to synchronize my class (or the map). and then i would just be trading an occasional big pause for making every cache access slower. Then i thought why not use volatile i could define the map reference as volatile private volatile HashMap mappings =....; and then in get (or anywhere else that uses the mappings variable) i would just make a local copy of the reference: public Data get(ID id) { HashMap local = mappings; //.. look it up using local } and then the background thread would just load into a temp table and then swap the references in the class HashMap tmp; //load tmp from DB mappings = tmp;//swap variables forcing write barrier Does this approach make sense? and is it actually thread-safe?

  • Google Maps, marker info window won't show up ?

    - by user296516
    Hi guys, I have written this code that loops through an array of lat/long coordinates and places a marker at each of the coordinate. Everything forks fine, exempt the info window won't appear once the marker is clicked. var ExpTowerIcon = new GIcon(); ExpTowerIcon.image = "tower.png"; ExpTowerIcon.iconSize = new GSize(75, 75); ExpTowerIcon.iconAnchor = new GPoint(37, 65); ExpTowerIcon.infoWindowAnchor = new GPoint(37, 20); var marker=new Array(); for ( i=0 ; i < lat.length ; i++ ) { var MarkerPoint = new GLatLng(lat[i],long[i]); marker[i] = new GMarker(MarkerPoint,{icon:ExpTowerIcon}) map.addOverlay( marker[i] ); GEvent.addListener( marker[i] , 'click', function() { marker[i].openInfoWindowHtml('Hello!') ; }); var polyline = new GPolyline([ new GLatLng(lat[i],long[i]) , new GLatLng(lat[i+1],long[i+1]) ], "#ff0000", 5); map.addOverlay(polyline); } Any ideas? Thanks!

  • General Address Parser for Freeform Text

    - by Daemonic
    We have a program that displays map data (think Google Maps, but with much more interactivity and custom layers for our clients). We allow navigation via a set of combo boxes that prefill certain fields with a bunch of data (ie: Country: Canada, the Province field is filled in. Select Ontario, and a list of Counties/Regions is filled in. Select a county/region, and a city is filled in, etc...). While this guarantees accurate addresses, it's a pain for the users if they don't know where a street address or a city are located (ie, which county/region is kitchener in?). So we are looking at trying to do an address parser with a freeform text field. The user could enter something like this (similar to Google Maps, Bing Maps, etc...): 22 Main St, Kitchener, On And we could compartmentalize it into sections and do lookups on the data and get to the point they are looking for (or suggest alternatives). The problem with this is that how do we properly compartmentalize information? How do we break up the sections and find possible matches? I'm guessing we wouldn't be guaranteed that the user would enter data in a format we always expected (obviously). A follow up to this would be how to present the data if we don't find an exact match (or find multiple exact matches... two cities with the same street name in different counties, for example). We have a ton of data available in the mapping data (mapinfo tab format mostly). So we can do quick scans of street names, cities, states, etc. But I'm not sure about the best way to go about approaching this problem. Sure, using Google Maps would be nice, bue most of our clients are in closed in networks where outside access is not usually allowed and most aren't willing to rely on google maps (since it doesn't contain as much information as they need, such as custom map layers). They could, obviously, go to google and get the proper location then move to our software, but this would time consuming and speed of the process can be quite important.

  • JAVA Casting error

    - by user1612725
    Im creating a program that uses Dijksrtras algorithm, im using nodes that represent cities on an imported map, and you can create edges between two cities on the map. My problem is every edge has a "weight" where it will represent distance in minutes and i have a function where i want to see the distance between the two edges. But i keep getting the error "Cannot cast from Stad to Edge" at the line Edge<Stad> selectedEdge = (Edge) fvf.visaFörbLista.getSelectedValue(); where "Stad" represents the city and "Edge" an edge. FormVisaförbindelse fvf = new FormVisaförbindelse(); for(;;){ try{ int svar = showConfirmDialog(null, fvf, "Ändra Förbindelser", JOptionPane.OK_CANCEL_OPTION); if (svar != YES_OPTION) return; if (fvf.visaFörbLista.isSelectionEmpty() == true){ showMessageDialog(mainMethod.this, "En Förbindelse måste valjas.","Fel!", ERROR_MESSAGE); return; } Edge<Stad> selectedEdge = (Edge) fvf.visaFörbLista.getSelectedValue(); FormÄndraförbindelse faf = new FormÄndraförbindelse(); faf.setförbNamn(selectedEdge.getNamn()); for(;;){ try{ int svar2 = showConfirmDialog(mainMethod.this, faf, "Ändra Förbindelse", OK_CANCEL_OPTION); if (svar2 != YES_OPTION) return; selectedEdge.setVikt(faf.getförbTid()); List<Edge<Stad>> edges = lg.getEdgesBetween(sB, sA); for (Edge<Stad> edge : edges){ if (edge.getNamn()==selectedEdge.getNamn()){ edge.setVikt(faf.getförbTid()); } } return; } catch(NumberFormatException e){ showMessageDialog(mainMethod.this, "Ogiltig inmatning.","Fel!", ERROR_MESSAGE); }

  • Which view will be resolved, code from spring's docs

    - by Blankman
    So when you go to /appointments the get() action is called, so then would the view be get.jsp (assuming you are using .jsp, and assuming you are mapping action names to views)? And what about the getnewform? It seems to be returning an object? Is that basically passed into the view? @Controller @RequestMapping("/appointments") public class AppointmentsController { private final AppointmentBook appointmentBook; @Autowired public AppointmentsController(AppointmentBook appointmentBook) { this.appointmentBook = appointmentBook; } @RequestMapping(method = RequestMethod.GET) public Map<String, Appointment> get() { return appointmentBook.getAppointmentsForToday(); } @RequestMapping(value="/{day}", method = RequestMethod.GET) public Map<String, Appointment> getForDay(@PathVariable @DateTimeFormat(iso=ISO.DATE) Date day, Model model) { return appointmentBook.getAppointmentsForDay(day); } @RequestMapping(value="/new", method = RequestMethod.GET) public AppointmentForm getNewForm() { return new AppointmentForm(); } @RequestMapping(method = RequestMethod.POST) public String add(@Valid AppointmentForm appointment, BindingResult result) { if (result.hasErrors()) { return "appointments/new"; } appointmentBook.addAppointment(appointment); return "redirect:/appointments"; } } In the example, the @RequestMapping is used in a number of places. The first usage is on the type (class) level, which indicates that all handling methods on this controller are relative to the /appointments path. The get() method has a further @RequestMapping refinement: it only accepts GET requests, meaning that an HTTP GET for /appointments invokes this method. The post() has a similar refinement, and the getNewForm() combines the definition of HTTP method and path into one, so that GET requests for appointments/new are handled by that method.

  • Rails routing problem

    - by Steve
    I am new to Rails routing and I currently have a problem and hope someone can explain it to me. I am using Rails 2.3.5 Firstly, let me describe my working-fine code: I have a text example, which has a controller (cars_controller) with an update action (along with some other actions). The update action needs the :id parameter. The edit.html.erb has a form: <% form_for :car, :url = {:controller = 'cars', :action = 'update' } % ... # rest of the form content. In the configuration/routes.rb, I have a self-defined routing rule for update: map.connect 'car/update/:id', :controller = 'cars', :action = 'update' This works fine. Secondly, I change the code. All I change is the self-defined routing rule to map.connect 'car/:action/:id, :controller = 'cars' To me, this rule covers the self-written routing rule. Of course, this rule is also used by other actions such as edit. But the edit.html.erb doesn't work. It complains that update action misses the :id parameter. I have to change the form_for helper to: <% form_for :car, :url = {:controller = 'cars', :action = 'update', :id = @car }% ... # @car is the instance passed to edit view. I know that if missing the :id parameter, update action will complain. What I don't understand is why my first code works (with my self-defined routing rule) but my second code fails. It seems to me that I didn't provide :id parameter in my self-defined routing rule. Anyone has an idea?

  • Google Maps Terms of Service - saving some data to a database

    - by R.M.
    I've read the terms of service, and, from what I understand, I'm not allowed to store any information I retrieve from the Google Maps API. Are there any exceptions to this? More to the point, I'm planning on building an application that shows the user several points of interest (like restaurants, libraries etc) at a certain distance around a location he chooses (it can be in one city or more, depending on the distance he chooses). There are two problems: The first problem is that (at least for my country) the geocoder doesn't locate exact addresses, at best it only locates street names (but completely ignores street numbers) in larger cities. It is even worse for smaller rural areas. So the only way to accurately show the places on the map is by storing their coordinates in the database. Another problem seems to be with calculating distances. To show the points located below a certain distance from the user, it would mean I would have to use GDirections to get all distances between the user's location and the other points, to see which ones to show. That would be really slow for the user (since I also have to set a small delay between requests), and it would also send a pretty large amount of requests to google. Would I be allowed to store those distances in a database? The users would not be able to access a list of all the stored information, they would only see the names of the places, and a map with some markers on it. Thank you.

  • The rightCalloutAccessory button is not shown

    - by Luca
    I try to manage annotations, and to display an info button on the right of the view when a PIN get selected, my relevant code is this: - (MKAnnotationView *)mapView:(MKMapView *)map viewForAnnotation:(id <MKAnnotation>)annotation { MKPinAnnotationView *newAnnotation = [[MKPinAnnotationView alloc] initWithAnnotation:annotation reuseIdentifier:@"greenPin"]; if ([annotation isKindOfClass:[ManageAnnotations class]]) { static NSString* identifier = @"ManageAnnotations"; MKPinAnnotationView *newAnnotation = [[MKPinAnnotationView alloc] initWithAnnotation:annotation reuseIdentifier:identifier]; if (newAnnotation==nil) { newAnnotation=[[MKPinAnnotationView alloc] initWithAnnotation:annotation reuseIdentifier:identifier]; }else { newAnnotation.annotation=annotation; } newAnnotation.pinColor = MKPinAnnotationColorGreen; newAnnotation.animatesDrop = YES; newAnnotation.canShowCallout = YES; newAnnotation.rightCalloutAccessoryView=[UIButton buttonWithType:UIButtonTypeInfoLight]; return newAnnotation; }else { newAnnotation.pinColor = MKPinAnnotationColorGreen; newAnnotation.animatesDrop = YES; newAnnotation.canShowCallout = YES; return newAnnotation; } ManageAnnotations.m : @implementation ManageAnnotations @synthesize pinColor; @synthesize storeName=_storeName; @synthesize storeAdress=_storeAdress; @synthesize coordinate=_coordinate; -(id)initWithTitle:(NSString*)storeName adress:(NSString*)storeAdress coordinate:(CLLocationCoordinate2D)coordinate{ if((self=[super init])){ _storeName=[storeName copy]; _storeAdress=[storeAdress copy]; _coordinate=coordinate; } return self; } -(NSString*)title{ return _storeName; } -(NSString*)subtitle{ return _storeAdress; } ManageAnnotations.h @interface ManageAnnotations : NSObject<MKAnnotation>{ NSString *_storeName; NSString *_storeAdress; CLLocationCoordinate2D _coordinate; } // @property(nonatomic,assign)MKPinAnnotationColor pinColor; @property(nonatomic, readonly, copy)NSString *storeName; @property(nonatomic, readonly, copy)NSString *storeAdress; @property(nonatomic,readonly)CLLocationCoordinate2D coordinate; // -(id)initWithTitle:(NSString*)storeName adress:(NSString*)storeAdress coordinate:(CLLocationCoordinate2D)coordinate; // The PINS are shown correctly on the Map, but without the info button on the right of the view. Am i missing something?

  • initialising a 2-dim Array in Scala

    - by Stefan W.
    (Scala 2.7.7:) I don't get used to 2d-Arrays. Arrays are mutable, but how do I specify a 2d-Array which is - let's say of size 3x4. The dimension (2D) is fixed, but the size per dimension shall be initializable. I tried this: class Field (val rows: Int, val cols: Int, sc: java.util.Scanner) { var field = new Array [Char](rows)(cols) for (r <- (1 to rows)) { val line = sc.nextLine () val spl = line.split (" ") field (r) = spl.map (_.charAt (0)) } def put (val rows: Int, val cols: Int, c: Char) = todo () } I get this error: :11: error: value update is not a member of Char field (r) = spl.map (_.charAt (0)) If it would be Java, it would be much more code, but I would know how to do it, so I show what I mean: public class Field { private char[][] field; public Field (int rows, int cols, java.util.Scanner sc) { field = new char [rows][cols]; for (int r = 0; r < rows; ++r) { String line = sc.nextLine (); String[] spl = line.split (" "); for (int c = 0; c < cols; ++c) field [r][c] = spl[c].charAt (0); } } public static void main (String args[]) { new Field (3, 4, new java.util.Scanner ("fraese.fld")); } } and fraese.fld would look, for example, like that: M M M M . M I get some steps wide with val field = new Array Array [Char] but how would I then implement 'put'? Or is there a better way to implement the 2D-Array. Yes, I could use a one-dim-Array, and work with put (y, x, c) = field (y * width + x) = c but I would prefer a notation which looks more 2d-ish.

  • Delphi App has "No Debug Info" when Debugging

    - by James L.
    We have built an application that uses packages and components. When we debug the application, the "Event Log" in the IDE often shows the our BPLs are being loaded without debug information ("No Debug Info"). This doesn't make sense because all our packages and EXEs are built with debug. _(each project) | Options | Compiling_ [ x ] Assertions [ x ] Debug information [ x ] Local symbols Symbol reference info = "Reference info" [ ] Use debug .dcus [ x ] Use imported data references _(each project) | Options | Linking_ [ x ] Debug information Map file = Detailed We have 4 projects, all built with runtime pacakges: Core.bpl Components.bpl Plugin.bpl (uses both #1 & #2) MainApp.exe (uses #1) Problems Observed 1) Many times when we debug, the Components.bpl is loaded with debug info, but all values in the "Local Variables" window are blank. If you hover your mouse over a variable in the code, there is no popup, and Evaluate window also shows nothing (the "Result" pane is always blank). 2) Sometimes the Event Log shows "No Debug Info" for various BPLs. For instance, if we activate the Plugin.bpl project and set it's Run | Parameter's Host Application to be the MainApp.exe, and then press F9, all modules seems to load with "Has Debug Info" except for the Plugin.bpl module. When it loads, the Event Log shows "No Debug Info". However, if we close the app and immediately press F9, it will run it again without recompiling anything and this time Plugin.bpl is loaded with debug ("Has Debug Info"). Questions 1) What would cause the "Local Variables" window to not display the values? 2) Why are BPLs sometimes loaded without debug info when the BPL was complied with debug and all the debug files (dcu, map, etc.) are available?

  • How to set WS-SecurityPolicy in an inbound CXF service in Mule?

    - by Brakara
    When configuring the service for handling UsernameToken and signatures, it's setup like this: <service name="serviceName"> <inbound> <cxf:inbound-endpoint address="someUrl" protocolConnector="httpsConnector" > <cxf:inInterceptors> <spring:bean class="org.apache.cxf.binding.soap.saaj.SAAJInInterceptor" /> <spring:bean class="org.apache.cxf.ws.security.wss4j.WSS4JInInterceptor"> <spring:constructor-arg> <spring:map> <spring:entry key="action" value="UsernameToken Timestamp Signature" /> <spring:entry key="passwordCallbackRef" value-ref="serverCallback" /> <spring:entry key="signaturePropFile" value="wssecurity.properties" /> </spring:map> </spring:constructor-arg> </spring:bean> </cxf:inInterceptors> </cxf:inbound-endpoint> </inbound> </service> But how is it possible to create a policy of what algorithms that are allowed, and what parts of the message that should be signed?

  • Need guidelines for optimizing WebGL performance by minimizing shader changes

    - by brainjam
    I'm trying to get an idea of the practicality of WebGL for rendering large architectural interior scenes, consisting of 100K's of triangles. These triangles are distributed over many objects, and there are many materials in the scene. On the other hand, there are no moving parts. And the materials tend to be fairly simple, mostly based on texture maps. There is a lot of texture map sharing .. for example all the chairs in scene will share a common map. There is also some multitexturing - up to three textures overlaid in a material. I've been doing a little experimentation and reading, and gather that frequently switching materials during a rendering pass will slow things down. For example, a scene with 200K triangles will have significant performance differences, depending on whether there are 10 or 1000 objects, assuming that each time an object is displayed a new material is set up. So it seems that if performance is important the scene should be sorted by materials so as to minimize material switching. What I'm looking for is guidelines on how to think of the overhead of various state changes, and where do I get the biggest bang for the buck. For example, what are the relative performance costs of, say, gl.useProgram(), gl.uniformMatrix4fv(), gl.drawElements() should I try to write ubershaders to minimize shader switching? should I try to aggregate geometry to minimize the number of gl.drawElements() calls I realize that mileage may vary depending on browser, OS, and graphics hardware. And I'm also not looking for heroic measures. Just some guidelines from people who have already had some experience in making scenes fast. I'll add that while I've had some experience with fixed-pipeline OpenGL programming in the past, I'm rather new to the WebGL/OpenGL ES 2.0 way of doing things.

  • Spring MVC 3 - How come @ResponseBody method renders a JSTLView?

    - by Ken Chen
    I have mapped one of my method in one Controller to return JSON object by @ResponseBody. @RequestMapping("/{module}/get/{docId}") public @ResponseBody Map<String, ? extends Object> get(@PathVariable String module, @PathVariable String docId) { Criteria criteria = new Criteria("_id", docId); return genericDAO.getUniqueEntity(module, true, criteria); } However, it redirects me to the JSTLView instead. Say, if the {module} is product and {docId} is 2, then in the console I found: DispatcherServlet with name 'xxx' processing POST request for [/xxx/product/get/2] Rendering view [org.springframework.web.servlet.view.JstlView: name 'product/get/2'; URL [/WEB-INF/views/jsp/product/get/2.jsp]] in DispatcherServlet with name 'xxx' How can that be happened? In the same Controller, I have another method similar to this but it's running fine: @RequestMapping("/{module}/list") public @ResponseBody Map<String, ? extends Object> list(@PathVariable String module, @RequestParam MultiValueMap<String, String> params, @RequestParam(value = "page", required = false) Integer pageNumber, @RequestParam(value = "rows", required = false) Integer recordPerPage) { ... return genericDAO.list(module, criterias, orders, pageNumber, recordPerPage); } Above do returns correctly providing me a list of objects I required. Anyone to help me solve the mystery?

  • How can I display multiple django modelformset forms together?

    - by JT
    I have a problem with needing to provide multiple model backed forms on the same page. I understand how to do this with single forms, i.e. just create both the forms call them something different then use the appropriate names in the template. Now how exactly do you expand that solution to work with modelformsets? The wrinkle, of course, is that each 'form' must be rendered together in the appropriate fieldset. For example I want my template to produce something like this: <fieldset> <label for="id_base-0-desc">Home Base Description:</label> <input id="id_base-0-desc" type="text" name="base-0-desc" maxlength="100" /> <label for="id_likes-0-icecream">Want ice cream?</label> <input type="checkbox" name="likes-0-icecream" id="id_likes-0-icecream" /> </fieldset> <fieldset> <label for="id_base-1-desc">Home Base Description:</label> <input id="id_base-1-desc" type="text" name="base-1-desc" maxlength="100" /> <label for="id_likes-1-icecream">Want ice cream?</label> <input type="checkbox" name="likes-1-icecream" id="id_likes-1-icecream" /> </fieldset> I am using a loop like this to process the results for base_form, likes_form in map(None, base_forms, likes_forms): which works as I'd expect (I'm using map because the # of forms can be different). The problem is that I can't figure out a way to do the same thing with the templating engine. The system does work if I layout all the base models together then all the likes models after wards, but it doesn't meet the layout requirements.

  • HDFS some datanodes of cluster are suddenly disconnected while reducers are running

    I have 8 slave computers and 1 master computer for running Hadoop (ver 0.21) some datanodes of cluster are suddenly disconnected while I was running MapReduce code on 10GB data After all mappers finished and around 80% of reducers was processed, randomly one or more datanode disconned from network. and then the other datanodes start to disappear from network even if I killed the MapReduce job when I found some datanode was disconnected. I've tried to change dfs.datanode.max.xcievers to 4096, turned off fire-walls of all computing node, disabled selinux and increased the number of file open limit to 20000 but they didn't work at all... anyone have a idea to solve this problem? followings are error log from mapreduce 12/06/01 12:31:29 INFO mapreduce.Job: Task Id : attempt_201206011227_0001_r_000006_0, Status : FAILED java.io.IOException: Bad connect ack with firstBadLink as ***.***.***.148:20010 at org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.DFSOutputStream$DataStreamer.createBlockOutputStream(DFSOutputStream.java:889) at org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.DFSOutputStream$DataStreamer.nextBlockOutputStream(DFSOutputStream.java:820) at org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.DFSOutputStream$DataStreamer.run(DFSOutputStream.java:427) and followings are logs from datanode 2012-06-01 13:01:01,118 INFO org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.datanode.DataNode: Receiving block blk_-5549263231281364844_3453 src: /*.*.*.147:56205 dest: /*.*.*.142:20010 2012-06-01 13:01:01,136 INFO org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.datanode.DataNode: DatanodeRegistration(*.*.*.142:20010, storageID=DS-1534489105-*.*.*.142-20010-1337757934836, infoPort=20075, ipcPort=20020) Starting thread to transfer block blk_-3849519151985279385_5906 to *.*.*.147:20010 2012-06-01 13:01:19,135 WARN org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.datanode.DataNode: DatanodeRegistration(*.*.*.142:20010, storageID=DS-1534489105-*.*.*.142-20010-1337757934836, infoPort=20075, ipcPort=20020):Failed to transfer blk_-5797481564121417802_3453 to *.*.*.146:20010 got java.net.ConnectException: > Connection timed out at sun.nio.ch.SocketChannelImpl.checkConnect(Native Method) at sun.nio.ch.SocketChannelImpl.finishConnect(SocketChannelImpl.java:701) at org.apache.hadoop.net.SocketIOWithTimeout.connect(SocketIOWithTimeout.java:206) at org.apache.hadoop.net.NetUtils.connect(NetUtils.java:373) at org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.datanode.DataNode$DataTransfer.run(DataNode.java:1257) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:722) 2012-06-01 13:06:20,342 INFO org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.datanode.DataBlockScanner: Verification succeeded for blk_6674438989226364081_3453 2012-06-01 13:09:01,781 WARN org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.datanode.DataNode: DatanodeRegistration(*.*.*.142:20010, storageID=DS-1534489105-*.*.*.142-20010-1337757934836, infoPort=20075, ipcPort=20020):Failed to transfer blk_-3849519151985279385_5906 to *.*.*.147:20010 got java.net.SocketTimeoutException: 480000 millis timeout while waiting for channel to be ready for write. ch : java.nio.channels.SocketChannel[connected local=/*.*.*.142:60057 remote=/*.*.*.147:20010] at org.apache.hadoop.net.SocketIOWithTimeout.waitForIO(SocketIOWithTimeout.java:246) at org.apache.hadoop.net.SocketOutputStream.waitForWritable(SocketOutputStream.java:164) at org.apache.hadoop.net.SocketOutputStream.transferToFully(SocketOutputStream.java:203) at org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.datanode.BlockSender.sendChunks(BlockSender.java:388) at org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.datanode.BlockSender.sendBlock(BlockSender.java:476) at org.apache.hadoop.hdfs.server.datanode.DataNode$DataTransfer.run(DataNode.java:1284) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:722) hdfs-site.xml <configuration> <property> <name>dfs.name.dir</name> <value>/home/hadoop/data/name</value> </property> <property> <name>dfs.data.dir</name> <value>/home/hadoop/data/hdfs1,/home/hadoop/data/hdfs2,/home/hadoop/data/hdfs3,/home/hadoop/data/hdfs4,/home/hadoop/data/hdfs5</value> </property> <property> <name>dfs.replication</name> <value>3</value> </property> <property> <name>dfs.datanode.max.xcievers</name> <value>4096</value> </property> <property> <name>dfs.http.address</name> <value>0.0.0.0:20070</value> <description>50070 The address and the base port where the dfs namenode web ui will listen on. • Sparse (Pseudo) Infinite Grid Data Structure for Web Game

    - by Ming
    I'm considering trying to make a game that takes place on an essentially infinite grid. The grid is very sparse. Certain small regions of relatively high density. Relatively few isolated nonempty cells. The amount of the grid in use is too large to implement naively but probably smallish by "big data" standards (I'm not trying to map the Internet or anything like that) This needs to be easy to persist. Here are the operations I may want to perform (reasonably efficiently) on this grid: Ask for some small rectangular region of cells and all their contents (a player's current neighborhood) Set individual cells or blit small regions (the player is making a move) Ask for the rough shape or outline/silhouette of some larger rectangular regions (a world map or region preview) Find some regions with approximately a given density (player spawning location) Approximate shortest path through gaps of at most some small constant empty spaces per hop (it's OK to be a bad approximation often, but not OK to keep heading the wrong direction searching) Approximate convex hull for a region Here's the catch: I want to do this in a web app. That is, I would prefer to use existing data storage (perhaps in the form of a relational database) and relatively little external dependency (preferably avoiding the need for a persistent process). Guys, what advice can you give me on actually implementing this? How would you do this if the web-app restrictions weren't in place? How would you modify that if they were? Thanks a lot, everyone!

  • Select all points in a matrix within 30m of another point

    - by pinnacler
    So if you look at my other posts, it's no surprise I'm building a robot that can collect data in a forest, and stick it on a map. We have algorithms that can detect tree centers and trunk diameters and can stick them on a cartesian XY plane. We're planning to use certain 'key' trees as natural landmarks for localizing the robot, using triangulation and trilateration among other methods, but programming this and keeping data straight and efficient is getting difficult using just Matlab. Is there a technique for sub-setting an array or matrix of points? Say I have 1000 trees stored over 1km (1000m), is there a way to say, select only points within 30m radius of my current location and work only with those? I would just use a GIS, but I'm doing this in Matlab and I'm unaware of any GIS plugins for Matlab. I forgot to mention, this code is going online, meaning it's going on a robot for real-time execution. I don't know if, as the map grows to several miles, using a different data structure will help or if calculating every distance to a random point is what a spatial database is going to do anyway. I'm thinking of mirroring two arrays, one sorted by X and the other by Y. Then bubble sorting to determine the 30m range in that. I do the same for both arrays, X and Y, and then have a third cross link table that will select the individual values. But I don't know, what that's called, how to program that and I'm sure someone already has so I don't want to reinvent the wheel. Cartesian Plane GIS

  • Why doesn't IB see my IBAction?

    - by Dan Ray
    I've been staring at this for way too long. There's nothing fancy happening here, and I've done this dozens of times, yet Interface Builder steadfastly refuses to provide me an action target for -(IBAction)slideDirections. I'm at the point where I'm willing to post publicly and feel stupid. So let 'er rip. Here's my .h: #import <UIKit/UIKit.h> #import <MapKit/MapKit.h> @interface PulseDetailController : UIViewController { NSDictionary *pulse; IBOutlet MKMapView *map; IBOutlet UIWebView *directions; IBOutlet UIView *directionsSlider; BOOL directionsExtended; IBOutlet UILabel *vendor; IBOutlet UILabel *offer; IBOutlet UILabel *offerText; IBOutlet UILabel *hours; IBOutlet UILabel *minutes; IBOutlet UILabel *seconds; IBOutlet UILabel *distance } @property (nonatomic, retain) NSDictionary *pulse; @property (nonatomic, retain) MKMapView *map; @property (nonatomic, retain) UIWebView *directions; @property (nonatomic, retain) UIView *directionsSlider; @property (nonatomic) BOOL directionsExtended; @property (nonatomic, retain) UILabel *vendor; @property (nonatomic, retain) UILabel *offer; @property (nonatomic, retain) UILabel *offerText; @property (nonatomic, retain) UILabel *hours; @property (nonatomic, retain) UILabel *minutes; @property (nonatomic, retain) UILabel *seconds; @property (nonatomic, retain) UILabel *distance; -(IBAction)slideDirections; @end

  • how to link a java class to a image button in eclipse?

    - by Isabella Chan
    I am trying to create a application that includes a Imagebutton and by clicking on the imagebutton, the application will start to run another java class that is within the package itself. I try using this method, however the program stopped working immediately? how should i code the codes instead? can anyone help me? Thanks :D package com.fyp.gulliver; import android.app.Activity; import android.content.Intent; import android.os.Bundle; import android.view.View; import android.widget.Button; public class GulliverActivity extends Activity { /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); //---Map button--- Button btnMap = (Button) findViewById(R.id.map); btnMap.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { Class ourClass; public void onClick(View v) { // TODO Auto-generated method stub try { ourClass = Class.forName ("com.fyp.gulliver.Maps"); Intent ourIntent = new Intent(GulliverActivity.this, ourClass); startActivity(ourIntent); } catch (ClassNotFoundException e) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block e.printStackTrace(); } } }); } }

  • Lost with hibernate - OneToMany resulting in the one being pulled back many times..

    - by Andy
    I have this DB design: CREATE TABLE report ( ID MEDIUMINT PRIMARY KEY NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT, user MEDIUMINT NOT NULL, created TIMESTAMP NOT NULL, state INT NOT NULL, FOREIGN KEY (user) REFERENCES user(ID) ON UPDATE CASCADE ON DELETE CASCADE ); CREATE TABLE reportProperties ( ID MEDIUMINT NOT NULL, k VARCHAR(128) NOT NULL, v TEXT NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY( ID, k ), FOREIGN KEY (ID) REFERENCES report(ID) ON UPDATE CASCADE ON DELETE CASCADE ); and this Hibernate Markup: @Table(name="report") @Entity(name="ReportEntity") public class ReportEntity extends Report{ @Id @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO) @Column(name="ID") private Integer ID; @Column(name="user") private Integer user; @Column(name="created") private Timestamp created; @Column(name="state") private Integer state = ReportState.RUNNING.getLevel(); @OneToMany(mappedBy="pk.ID", fetch=FetchType.EAGER) @JoinColumns( @JoinColumn(name="ID", referencedColumnName="ID") ) @MapKey(name="pk.key") private Map<String, ReportPropertyEntity> reportProperties = new HashMap<String, ReportPropertyEntity>(); } and @Table(name="reportProperties") @Entity(name="ReportPropertyEntity") public class ReportPropertyEntity extends ReportProperty{ @Embeddable public static class ReportPropertyEntityPk implements Serializable{ /** * long#serialVersionUID */ private static final long serialVersionUID = 2545373078182672152L; @Column(name="ID") protected int ID; @Column(name="k") protected String key; } @EmbeddedId protected ReportPropertyEntityPk pk = new ReportPropertyEntityPk(); @Column(name="v") protected String value; } And i have inserted on Report and 4 Properties for that report. Now when i execute this: this.findByCriteria( Order.asc("created"), Restrictions.eq("user", user.getObject(UserField.ID)) ) ); I get back the report 4 times, instead of just the once with a Map with the 4 properties in. I'm not great at Hibernate to be honest, prefer straight SQL but I must learn, but i can't see what it is that is wrong.....? Any suggestions?

  • MKMapKit exception when using canShowCallout on annotation view

    - by Kendall Helmstetter Gelner
    I'm trying to use a pretty straightforward custom map annotation view and callout - the annotation view when I create it, just adds a UIImageView as a subview to itself. That works fine. However, when I call canShowCallout on the annotation view, An exception is thrown in MapKit immediately after returning the view. The end of the stack looks like: #0 0x94e964e6 in objc_exception_throw #1 0x01e26404 in -[MKOverlayView _addViewForAnnotation:] #2 0x01e22037 in -[MKOverlayView _addViewsForAnnotations:animated:] #3 0x01e1ddf9 in -[MKOverlayView showAddedAnnotationsAnimated:] #4 0x01df9c0e in -[MKMapView _showAddedAnnotationsAndRouteAnimated:] #5 0x01e0371a in -[MKMapView levelView:didLoadTile:] My viewForAnnotation is pretty simple: - (MKAnnotationView *)mapView:(MKMapView *)mapView viewForAnnotation:(id <MKAnnotation>)annotation { if ( ! [annotation isKindOfClass:[MyAnnotation class]] ) return nil; MyAnnotationView *useView = (MyAnnotationView *)[myMapView dequeueReusableAnnotationViewWithIdentifier:@"resuseview"]; if ( useView == nil ) { useView = [[[MyAnnotationView alloc] initWithAnnotation:annotation reuseIdentifier:@"resuseview"] autorelease]; useView.canShowCallout = YES; // if commented out view appears just fine } else { useView.annotation = annotation; } return useView; } As noted in the code, the annotation view works fine as is - until I add canShowCallout, then it crashes the first time the map gets the view.
