  • TargetProcess 404 error after installation

    I installed TargetProcess on my laptop but when trying to open the corresponding web page (http://localhost/TargetProcess2) I get 404 error. I am running Win7 with IIS7 (7.5.7600.16385), MS SQL 2008 Express. As suggested in Installation guide.pdf I have performed aspnet_regiis.exe -i (however in folder C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727 and not in C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5.30729.1 because I simply don't have this folder although Ms Web Platform installer says that I have SP1 for NET Framework 3.5 installed)

    Hello All, I am curious to know what other folks out there might be using to keep the sudoers file in a sane manner. I am looking for a tool, that removes redundant entries, overlapping permissions and/or present sudoers file in a organized way(like sorting by permissions/users/Aliases) User_Alias RT1123 jappleseed, sjobs Host_Alias HOST_RT1123 wdc101.domain.com, wdc104.domain.com Cmnd_Alias ..... Our sudoers file is simple but a lot of entries and it needs to be cleaned up. Does anyone know/have a tool/script to fix/present it ? Thanks!

  • How can I index content within a Content Editor web part?

    I'm using MOSS 2007 v12.0.0.6529, and the the Shared Services crawler is ignoring content inside Content Editor Web Parts. The page itself is a Publishing page, and content within the Page Content field is indexed properly and shows up in search results. How can I ensure that content within Content Editor webparts is also indexed? Or do I have to use other methods like additional content fields in the page?

    Hi, I have just downloaded and installed Office 2010 RTM. Overall, it is very nice, but I miss having proofing tools available for my native language, Danish. I have installed the 2007 Proofing Tools, but they do not work with 2010: For this release we have made significant changes in the proofing infrastructure, therefore the Language Packs from previous Office versions including Office 2007 are not compatible with Office 2010.   • Good software to take a blog and format it for printing

    I have much of my family's doings on a Blogspot blog. I would like to print this out in a nice book. The actual printing I plan to just send to CostCo as Photo Prints. But I need some kind of software to reformat the posts into printable paper size sheets. I would like it if I could retain my blog's background and let me adjust how the pictures fit on the screen. Now I could do all of this with MS Publisher or Word. But I am curious if there is any other software out there that does this nice and easy. Anyone know of some cool software that will do this for me? Free is nice, but I am not above paying a modest fee for cool software. I would prefer to avoid another website that will charge for the printing as well as the converting.

  • Hyper-V Manager: right-clicking on remote VM crashes MMC snap-in

    I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise SP1 machine that I log into and use to manage virtual machines running on multiple Hyper-V servers on our domain. Sometimes, when I right-click on a remote VM, the Hyper-V Manager will crash and display the following error message: If I use the Actions menu on the lower right, it works just fine, but for some reason right-clicking causes MMC to stop working. Is there any way to fix this issue? Here are the full details of the error message.     I have a command that I want to run on machine B from machine A. If I run the command on machine B locally, it works fine. Here is the command: for n in `find /data1/ -name 'ini*.ext'` ; do echo cp $n "`dirname $n `/` basename $n .ext`"; done From machine A, I issue this command ssh user@machineB for n in `find /data1/ -name 'ini*jsem'` ; do echo cp $n "`dirname $n `/` basename $n .jsem`"; done But I get error syntax error near unexpected token do What is wrong? I think it has something to do with double quotes, single quotes, semi colon because executing command ssh user@machineB ls works fine. So not issue of authentication or something else. Thanks

    User 'X' is the site-collection owner. He tries to upload a 500kb file into a document library, got the error "The server has aborted your upload. The files selected may exceed the server's upload size limit. If you are transfering a large group of files, try uploading fewer at a time." however web-application owners are able to upload the file. what would be the issue, any thoughts? However, does anyone have details/a link for a version of this that offers similar functionality but is in an excel spreadsheet.   • Have you ever seen an install of IE 8 whose version number was still 6.0?

    I was at a local university computer lab presenting a website I work on and I discovered something that looked really unusual to me. Their machines had Internet Explorer 8 installed, but when you check the version number (Help-About Internet Explorer) it listed the version number as 6.0. It also gave me an "Operation Aborted" error that is supposed to be gone in IE8. Has anyone else run across this situation?

  • Why did Google remove the search box in developer tool from Chrome 22 stable release?

    In previous version of Chrome, there's the search box in developer tool, on the right top when I open it, just as shown below. (Sorry I can't upload image cuz' I don't have enough reputation for now.) http://i.minus.com/iklSx2vi0uzFB.JPG But, after I upgraded to the first release of Chrome 22 yesterday, that search box was gone, as shown below. http://i.minus.com/ibxXt9wnBekR7E.JPG It is such a useful search box that I rely on all the time, to search for something, or to validate an xpath. So does Google just 'hide' it somewhere else? Or do they really remove it? Anyone know why they made such changes?

    Is there a good customizable dual-pane file manager for Mac like Total Commander / Far Manager in Windows, or like Krusader / Midnight Commander in Linux? I used to work on Windows for quite a while and mostly used Far Manager and sometimes Total Commander, then I switched to Ubuntu Linux and used Krusader, now I switched to Mac OS (Snow Leopard) and I'm having a hard time trying to find a good file manager... Many of the existing applications are trying to replace the Finder with "multimedia capabilities nobody cares about in file manager - IMHO" (Path Finder, ForkLift), some of them are almost good dual-pane file managers (couldn't remember examples), but none of them worked for me mostly because of one reason: I couldn't integrate my file/folder comparison utility (Araxis Merge for Mac) with them... The way it worked for me in Windows and Linux is that I was setting the cursor on one file in the left pane, then setting the right-pane cursor on another file in right pane, then I pressed a hotkey that launched Araxis Merge with those to files/folders comparison results. It was very easy to set up in Far Manager (Windows) and Krusader (Linux, actually in Linux I used "Meld" instead of Araxis Merge...) The tool I'm looking for doesn't necessarily has to be free...   • Tool to modify properties/metadata of a PDF? i.e. Change "Title", "Author"? Sony Reader showing som

    I own a Sony Reader PRS-600 ebook reader. I bought a ton of Manning Publications ebooks (DRM-free) recently. Many of the books are PDFs since not all the ones I wanted are available in epub format. The problem: Some of the PDF books I purchased have incorrect or missing metadata. Making things worse, the Sony Reader only displays the "Title" from the PDF metadata when displaying book titles in the reader's collection of books! The Reader doesn't display the filename. So, even though I have a PDF informatively named "Windows PowerShell In Action.pdf", it shows up as "untitled" in the Reader. Imagine how useful the Reader's list of book titles becomes when many are just "untitled" or "unnamed document" ! Yes, it is maddening. So – short of expecting the publisher to fix the files or Sony to add a filename-based list instead, I'm looking for a way to fix the PDF metadata. I can view the metadata with Adobe Reader, but it doesn't permit modification of the properties. Leading to: Question: Is there a tool – free, or cheap – and either for PC or Mac, that can modify the properties / metadata of a DRM-free PDF document? I want to correct "Title" and "Author" fields, specifically.
